With all of the great reviews given about this place, mine may be a little less than great. This establishment atmosphere is beautiful but the food did not meet my expectations. The calamari fell short on flavors, they maybe frozen from a bag. There wasn't 1 squid on the plate, the brisket was surprisingly dry with a tasteless sause under it. The drinks was the best in the area, hands down. The lady bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, & made good drinks. Lol. The manager was walking around but only was interested in the table patrons, (we were at the bar). Not sure if I would eat here again, but for drinks, definitely when the lady bartender is serving, I actually love the calamari at the bar across from here.(no shade, just being honest).

I had a wonderful time there. The bartender Kamila was excellent. She made an amazing lemon drop martini and a pistachio martini that is to die for. The food was nice as well. I had the calamari and a side of french fries. The place is nice and cozy. Music is a little loud, but i still could have a conversation. Overall this place is definitely worth a try. Will definitely be back!

I recently visited Fork with my family for lunch and had an excellent experience. The online menu caught my attention with happy hour starting at 3 pm, but I was initially told it was bar seating only. Kudos to the manager for accommodating our family with a small kid and allowing us to order from the happy hour menu at our table. Our servers were incredibly sweet and attentive. We started with complimentary bread and apple butter, which set the tone for the meal. The apps were standout – fried ravioli and short rib bao buns were both delicious. Entrees included the fork burger, which was juicy and well-made, and the fried chicken sandwich, perfectly breaded with a nice crunch. Sides included regular and truffle fries, both hits. Drinks were impressive, especially the peachy lychee and Rose Sangria, with flavors matching menu descriptions. Prices were reasonable, and the music and atmosphere were enjoyable. Overall, Fork exceeded expectations. I'm definitely returning to try more menu items.

Looking back, I'm surprised by all the great reviews... our food experience was less than great. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food does not live up to the effort put into aesthetics. Calamari was average, short rib bao buns were just sweet in flavor and the carrot cake desert was so bad we sent it back (dry and refrigerated too long). The empanada... couldn't taste the difference between the dough vs filling. Funny enough the thing we enjoyed the most was the Caesar salad.

Went to Main Street in Rahway to Fork. The staff and management couldn’t have been nicer. It was early in the day and they only had a brunch menu available but nothing appealed to me so they kindly offered me their dinner menu. My wife and I ordered the Teriyaki Calimari , Greek salad and Lobster ravioli. All were delicious and top notch.

I got together with my friend to get dinner. When I arrived I found parking on the street. I walked into a really nice restaurant! We were served by Alejandra and she was awesome! We ordered: Espresso Martini French 75 Octopus Elote Pizza El Presidente Short Rib King Salmon brown butter cake I loved that martini and I also loved the octopus! And the brown butter cake was amazing! We had a really great experience!

Finally made it to Fork in Rahway for Easter brunch and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent! Started with the calamari. Main courses were lobster ravioli, steak frites, and smoked salmon benedict. Dessert included flan and cheesecake. From start to finish, all delicious!!! Can't wait to visit again!

Google
I absolutely enjoyed my visit to FORK in Rahway, NJ. Very modern restaurant, Italian based food. Really good and attentive service. There was a slight smell upon entering that wasn't favorable, and I was under an AC vent with drops dropping on me from condensation . Lol be I was moved expeditiously. My drink was nice and crisp. A plan ol amaretto sour. My guest had a Mcallan 12. The food was delicious 😋 especially the Calamari. I would definitely come here again to try more dishes. " a bientot" ☺️

Yelp
Wow! Pleasantly impressed!! I've been to Fork for dinner two times already and both times the food AND THE SERVICE were excellent!!! The atmosphere is lovely, the tables are not too close to one another so you can speak among your group without shouting and the chairs - particularly for the men - are super comfortable. Everyone in my group - on both visits, were extremely satisfied with their appetizers, meals and drinks. Also want to mention the servers who were attentive, personable and pleasant!! REALLY ENJOYED the experience - AND the place is beautifully maintained - VERY clean!! Will be back for sure!!

Yelp
Fork hosted the private event of our dreams and I could not be more thankful. Planning was a breeze, the pricing was exceptional, and the service was stellar. I have never had such a relaxed and successful event experience. Our guests loved the aesthetic of the venue, which provided a classy New York experience, right in downtown Rahway. On top of it all, the execution of our large private party was stellar. All of our guests raved about the quality of food, coordination with other vendors, and service. Thank you Fork family! We can't wait to celebrate with you again.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and very spacious. Everyone was interacted was very friendly and refreshing. We sat at the bar for a quick, light dinner. The bartender made us some very tasty martinis. It's always a plus when the bar offers blue cheeses stuffed olives for martinis. The food however was a bit underwhelming. Everything fell flat in flavor. Even a touch of salt would've helped. We started with the Short Rib Bao Bun appetizer. They were would good but far from great. I would opt for a different starter. The entrees were also disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parm, which was a good/ safe option. I ordered the El Presidente Pasta which was a pasta in a rigatoni pasta in a creamy brown sauce with mushrooms and short rib. I would say the dish lacked in flavor, salt and execution. The sauce was not very creamy and the short rib was tough, there were even some pieces so hard to chew I had to spit them out. Considering all of the great places to eat in Rahway, I would not put Fork at the top of my list. I think their menu is a bit confusing. They identify as a Modern American restaurant but most of their dishes were Italian inspired. It would've been nice if either their menu offered more range or they rebranded as an Italian inspired restaurant and perfected their current dishes.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday evening. Parking wasn't hard to find on the street but they do have a parking deck near by. The restaurant was empty. Service was wonderful. We ordered the spicy vodka pasta with salmon. The salmon was so bland, no seasoning, so I didn't eat it. The pasta wasn't spicy at all. My partner had the elote pizza and the burrata, which was just ok but high quality ingredients. We also had two desserts the cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. They weren't the best. All in all, ok food, but wonderful service. Just be mindful that cell phone service is scarce in there for some reason.

Yelp
Went there before I went to a show at the upac I did not know what to expect but I was very happy The place has a very cool city feel with exposed brick and all. The Ambience was great We got there before the other couple so sat at the bar and had sd drink the bartender was very nice and helpful We then met our friends and sat down for dinner and everyone loved everything I had the lobster ravioli and some of the best I have had So if in the area it's a must go

Yelp
Came here for Mother's Day "brunch" with my sisters on a beautiful Sunday. We made reservations so wait time was minimal. We found street metered parking immediately. We ordered the calamari, octopus and caesar salad. The salad was good. The calamari had teriyaki sauce on it. The octopus was cooked okay but the sauce with the corn and peas was not appetizing. For our entrees, we ordered lobster ravioli, 2 short ribs, salmon, and pasta. None of us liked our foods. All the food was bland, no flavor, no seasoning, lacked salt and pepper. We did not finish our food due to the taste. My lobster ravioli lacked seasoning and sauce. It felt like it was microwaved as the top of my ravioli was dry and only saucy on the bottom The restaurant is beautiful and the service is good. But the food we had was a complete miss. I tried to order a drink that contained blood orange but they didnt have any. So i settled with lemon drop martini and it was good.

Yelp
The service was amazing Alejandre was so sweet she made the experience better. Down to us having a shaky table which we were annoyed by she noticed it on her own and came back and put something under the table to fix it. I went Valentines Day and was lucky enough to get a seat we came at the perfect time. As for food they had a curated Vday menu so I'm not sure what the menu is usually like. Had a lychee martini and a pineapple margarita so did my date they were good. My date said the calamari was delicious. I had the steak it wasn't cooked how I like it even after I sent it back it was extremely red. That was my only issue. The steak was good though the little bite I ate lol. Will be back for happy hour.

Yelp
Disappointed and won't be back. I placed a pickup order over the phone for the tuna tostada, calamari, and steak frites. My dad picked it up and said the total came out to $82.36 -- for just two appetizers and one entree. When I called to ask about the pricing, I was told they were running a "special" Mother's Day menu, which bumped the steak frites from $30 (as listed online) to $42 -- with no mention of this over the phone when ordering. That might have been acceptable if the food was at least good, but it wasn't. The steak was overcooked, the fries were soggy because they poured the au jus over everything instead of keeping it on the side, and the calamari was bland. At least they put the sauce for the calamari on the side but that didn't make up for the lackluster flavors. To top it off, the person I spoke with over the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. Walking into an empty restaurant on a holiday weekend should have been my dad's warning sign. Sadly, this experience was not worth the money or the hassle.

Yelp
I really liked the ambiance here. I would return to sit at the bar. The food was really good too, I would recommend the sushi pizza.

Yelp
Beautiful, beautiful restaurant in downtown Rahway. The food was delicious here. Everything everyone had was so good. The highlight of my evening was definitely the fish and chips. It was delicious, it had the perfect touches like pickled onions fresh tartar sauce, on top of warm fish and french fries. We had a large party for a friend of ours and everything was so accommodating. Prices are fair. Parking can be annoying in this area, but you can find some thing a block or two away or park in the parking garage. Definitely recommend check this out.

Yelp
This restaurant has not been open very long. There were a few minor issues and that is more of me trying to find something. The food was great. The ambiance was fabulous. It gave midtown Manhattan bistro vibes. I will be back here since it's fine dining steps away from home.

Yelp
We are so lucky to have this Restarant in Rahway! The food is incredible. My favorite dishes are the burrata, the calamari and the salmon. Everything is done amazing though. The service is an always great and the bartender Alix is the best with cocktails and such a great person to chit chat with. The ambiance is New York City chic! We love it here and are becoming regular customers.

Yelp
Put a fork in this place, everything was done well. Apps, entrees and desserts were all delish and our waitress was attentive. Really nice decor and good lighting. Pretty good variety on the menu.

Yelp
Great ambience and service but flavor lacking. We had the lamb and ribeye steak. Meat was not very tasty and the quality of the steak was questionable. Tough and lacking flavor. The calamari was good but what's the trend with this salty asian inspired sauce on calamari these days? Can we just have light crispy fresh calamari? The mac and cheese ??? Ohh, it was like kraft meets watery cheese sauce. Runny and no flavor...Service is outstanding though and maybe we just didn't order the right items or it was an off day? We would try again bc it seems this area of Jersey has very few cool dining options.

Yelp
I would love to give this place 5 stars and won't due to poor management which I really liked the manager however he wasn't paying attention to his staff. I don't the male waiter name I had because he never mention it. He was impatient as it was our first time there. He did take our order and that was it. He walked by the table several times not asking if we need anything. When we had a question couldn't find him, it wasn't crowded at all after 4pm on a Friday. He brought out hard bread, or overcooked either way it shouldn't have been brought to a customer table we wasn't happy at all Lyra praying I'm spelling it right she was the absolute best hostess waitress I've had in a long time. We asked for more bread telling her it was hard, she brought out these biscuit type of bread with fresh seasoning on top and homemade apple butter. She put in an appetizer at the last minute as we asked to have before the meal. Fish in chips was good small pieces with 2 people sharing they could give 4 pieces instead of 3 especially when pieces are not the same size. They did drive the top with the delicious homemade tartar sauce where you can't see how many or how big. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. We had cod fish with extra veggies and salmon with extra veggies delicious. The honey Dijon was to die for. Our drinks was good lychee martini and sangria was good. Lyra brought the check over because he never asked if we needed anything. We didn't want to give him the tip so the tip in cash went to Lyra and here he come to pick up the check. He opened it as he was walking away to see the other waiter got the tip the smug laugh and disappointed he showed was what he deserved. How can you pick up a check expecting a tip when you ignored us the whole time we was there. Sorry not sorry. I hope this is a lesson learned and hope management will read this to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. I told someone what happened thinking we didn't wrong thing and was told no and they asked if it was a race thing absolutely not it was a lazy thing Do better sir

Yelp
Food, service and ambience was great! We had a 8:30 reservation which we were a couple minutes late for, however we were seated and attended right away! Our server took down our drinks; espresso martinis which were really good. We had the fried calamari as our appetizer; it was good, but the crust was falling right off the calamari (it has a teriyaki glaze I believe which gave it a nice touch). Definitely trying the octopus for my next visit! Our waiter then helped us choose our entrees as it was out first time visiting fork. My friend ordered the short rib which she really enjoyed, and I ordered the chicken parm which was HUGE and one of the best I've had. The only negative is the parking. But there is a parking garage down the street where you can park, or in the back of the restaurant. Parking on the street is pretty tough as it is an area with a couple bars/ restaurants. I will definitely be back as we had wonderful experience!

Yelp
Went here for Mother's Day and was welcomed by hostess and waited on by Alajandra. Apps and meal were wonderful! Son-in-law said best lobster ravioli he's had! Fried calamari and short rib bao buns were great!! Great addition to downtown Rahway! Will be back!

Julia M.

Yelp
Not only was I rushed to pick my appetizer and dinner at the same time. My bao bun had a huge bone in it. The manager and waiter told me they cut pork belly from bone fresh per order. I informed they belly does not have bones and they did not even choose to hear me out. I ordered the elote as well which came covered in crumbled blue cheese which they also told me I was wrong and that it's creamy queso fresco. I showed them the blue swirl in the cheese and just walked away. I was really hoping for this to become my normal neighborhood spot but I will not be back, I didn't even stay for my dinner I canceled and left.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Large portions. Very satisfying. The service was incredible. Shout out to our wait staff especially Alejandra. Ambiance is cozy people have enough room between tables and the music is in the background but not overwhelming.

Carol S.

Yelp
The food was INCREDIBLE and the service was spectacular! We had the beef Bourguignon with mushroom risotto - it was - absolutely delicious!! The restaurant is gorgeous - New York City vibes. The desserts are stunning!!
