My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time, and overall, it’s a solid 8/10.
The atmosphere? A whole vibe. The space is beautiful with great energy, and the staff was warm and attentive from the start. You can tell they take pride in service. What I’m assuming was the manager even stopped by our table to check on us, which I always appreciate.
We ordered drinks and were served bread right away. The only hiccup was the wait for our food — it took close to an hour, which was a little annoying. Thankfully, the ambiance made it easy to settle in, and when my entrée arrived, it made up for the delay. I ordered the salmon with potatoes and vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious, flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. I scraped my plate clean.
My husband ordered a clam sauce pasta. He didn’t love it as much as I loved mine. His feedback was that the clams weren’t as hot or as seasoned as they could’ve been. I tasted one and agreed, it needed a bit more heat and flavor. It wasn’t terrible, just not memorable. We also shared a lobster mac and cheese, which we’d give a 7/10. It was tasty, but we’ve definitely had better.
For drinks, we kept it cute with mocktails. I had a pear blend, and my husband ordered a berry one, his was the standout between the two.
We skipped dessert because I was full and ready to call it a night.
The best part? The restaurant delivers serious NYC Midtown/SoHo energy without actually having to go into the city. As someone who works in New York and grew up there, I love that vibe, but it felt so good to experience it right here in my neighborhood for date night.
If the food had come out faster, it would’ve been a total home run for me. Still, it’s not enough to keep us from going back.
