Locals head here for downtown views, live music nights, and a sleek, glass‑framed room that opens to the sky. St. Louis Magazine confirms it as a modern classic; hotel sources show weekend hours with cocktails and small plates high above Olive Street.

Stopped in on a random Saturday night, we were staying at the hotel. Despite the previous reviews, music was at a reasonable volume. We were able to hold conversation with each other and the bartender. It was quite empty at 8:30pm. Nice selection of cocktails and bourbon. Fast service and nice views.

Just left this place and it is a -1 star at best. No options on food. The chicken in my salad was old and dry, fries were soggy and warm. We had 2 drinks $40. Crown and cranberry. The worst part was the Dj I don’t think he played a song from the 2000’s nothing up to date. On a FRIDAY NIGHT! 3 promoters and 15ppl in the entire place. $22 to park, $100 on cold chicken and warm fries. $200 total on trash! Count me ALL THE WAY OWT! on this low end establishment. Watching the cars drive by would have been a better entertainment. TRASH 🗑️

This place has amazing potential. However they need organization and clarity of operations. Theres no menu which is fine but although cocktail bars all have similar items having a menu featuring specialized cocktails would make this place more memorable. The view is wonderful. The music is too loud. Staff is minimal at best.

The space is well appointed and has nice views. Huge floor to ceiling picture windows line the exterior and allow for said groovy views. The staff was amazing. Jenny and Claire are very skilled mixologists, but in a solid traditional fashion. They are friendly and engaging but do not forget the fact you came for libations, so they keep the drinks pure and not pretentious and contrived with this herb or that sleight of hand. Their custom drink recipes delighted myself and other patrons, one gentleman when cajoled into trying his wife's chocolate martini called it tremendous and complimented the lack or over sweet flavor. Claire is witty and skilled in her craft, each beverage I asked for she elevated and took the time to discuss specific options to dial my drinks in. Both ladies handled the large and somewhat obnoxious wedding crowd that appeared and began barking demands with grace and aplomb. If your desire is intelligent banter with excellent quality beverages then look no further.

Went here for drinks before dinner tonight. It's the rooftop bar at the new Marriott autograph collection hotel downtown. The view is spectacular and the space is great, but unfortunately the drink situation is not. One huge issue is that because of the opening windows they have to use plastic drinkware. That really kills the mojo of a cocktail. You've really got to have a chilled glass. The other big issue is that despite basically being empty (it was only 4pm) the service was painfully slow. I'd like to return here to explore more. The lobby is also spectacular and the bar down there has glassware, plus the restaurant is getting good reviews. Unfortunately I'd pass on /Form Skybar for now.

Allyson is incredible! She made me a drink with blood orange juice and if you can get her to make it for you, I'd 100% recommend it!

Beautiful rooftop views. Elegant, spacious dining & bar area. Great place for a group gathering or intimate dating.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews, but my husband and I had such a poor experience here, I feel obligated to share. We booked their Valentine's Day event for a 7pm seating. This included a 4-course meal and a glass of wine. We arrived around 6:50pm to find many other couples standing, waiting to be sat down. We checked in and were told to stand and wait. Around 7:30 pm, several other couples became impatient and were told they may sit at the bar. At this point, many 7:30pm seating time couples had arrived. At 7:45 pm, I watched 2 couples from the bar get seated at tables. I had watched them arrive to the rooftop off the elevator after my husband and I, so I spoke to one of the servers expressing our desire to be seated given it was now almost an hour past our seating time and that couples who had arrived after us were already being seated. To their credit, they sat us quickly, but it continued to go downhill from here. We waited 15 minutes for water, which we only got when we flagged down a server. Our food came out relatively quickly. During our first course, I asked for napkins (every other table had red fabric napkins) and our server brought us like 20 paper cocktail napkins, not ideal for a nice dinner. Our entrees eventually came, although the server brought out two of the cod entrees. My husband ordered steak. He brought my husband's steak, which he ordered medium, however when he cut in it was obviously rare. It was sent back. The next steak was also rare. We spoke with who appeared to be running the event and he stated he agreed it was rare (bleeding on the plate.) Finally on the third try, we received a medium rare steak, not as ordered, but close enough and at this point we wanted out of there as it was past 10 pm. Mind you, at this point we could feel the anger and frustration radiating from all of the 8/8:30 pm seating people who were still waiting on tables. We left quickly when our meal was done. We had one refill of water the entire 2hrs we were eating our meal. We were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink. This was a small event, maybe 15 tables. I'm not sure if it was overbooked, underpowered, or if they simply were just unprepared, but I've never had such a poor experience at a restaurant.

Yelp
Came here for their Super Bowl party, and would highly recommend! The entire rooftop. It was nice and cozy with a ton of games like beer pong, cornhole, a raffle, Jenga. Tables were nice and spread out so you could interact with everybody and feel like a large group while also having your own space with friends. The food was a little slow to refill, but tasted delicious, and was an assortment of dips, nachos, sides. The drinks are also affordably priced, and there were lots of special. Parking is a little tough, especially in downtown, wish they had a designated area or were validating parking.

Yelp
My mother and I went in for a drink on a Wednesday night. People at the bar were keeping the bartender busy so it took a while for her to get to us, but she was nice! She made me a nice pumpkin cocktail. It was good, but not the best thing I've ever had. The inside is nice and it wasn't too crowded. The view is not the best ive ever seen, but the windows were open so the breeze felt nice on that warm night! Overall: the drinks were overpriced, but the inside is trendy. It was a nice place to hang out!

Yelp
The staff seemed to be very inexperienced. The drinks were not worth the cost. They need to invest in training their bartending staff.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Bartender Kristine makes the best Old Fashinoed in St. Louis. And they love to have customers contribute to the music choice playing on their Bluetooth sound system. We were here for Metallica shows and Metallica it was at Skybar.

Yelp
Great addition to StL Nightlife! This rooftop sits at Hotel St Louis, a Marriott Boutique Hotel. Upon entry into the hotel, which is very nicely decorated and has a great bar lobby, proceed to the elevators and select 16 or R. The skybar is an open space with a bar and a variety of seating options to accommodate small or large groups. There were a few tables reserved, which leads me to believe that is an option for reservations. Above the bar are 2 large TVs with sports. Because the space is open, it is very loud, so if you are planning for intimate conversation, this might not be the best spot, stay at the bar in the lobby. Form offers Cocktails and Appetizers for guest. I settled on the Sidecar martini along with Crawfish Nachos and Potato Croquettes. Sidecar tasted great! Well balanced on the flavors, but not weak in the least. @ $12 apiece, these were enjoyable. The Crawfish Nachos are amazing!! I was surprised at how much crawfish was in the mix and very happy with the flavor and thickness of the sauce. Now, the potato Croquettes were not my favorite, they were just ok. Primarily mashed potatoes that have been fried, it felt like something was missing in the mix. My primary challenge with this place was the restrooms located 1 floor down that didn't appear to be well attended. The ladies room had run out of toilet paper and the hand towels were out too. I ended up calling the front desk to request the bathroom be checked. The music seems like an afterthought as they were streaming Pandora through a standing speaker and please be a little patient with the wait staff and there doesn't appear to be many on duty. I was happy about the turn time for the food from the kitchen. Overall, a great experience for hanging with friends and I would visit again.

Yelp
Not the f@ckin nightmare I expected. Beers reasonable and staff cool. Hella hangout for Metallica fans. Would recommend.

Yelp
Fantastic! A unique and refreshing must-do in downtown STL! Located on top of Hotel Saint Louis; the recently revitalized Union Trust Co. Building, the rooftop location offers an upscale bespoke experience with spectacular views of the city skyline. Classic and clever drinks paired with well portioned small plates consisting of fresh locally sourced comfort foods did not disappoint. From the friendly valet to the attentive servers and bartenders; the staff was outgoing and very accommodating. Historic and hip, Form Skybar and Hotel Saint Louis are refreshing and a welcome addition to downtown STL. Don't let the reviews claiming the service was sub-par deter you from trying this place out! Form Skybar only opened on March 4th 2019 and every new establishment takes a few weeks to refine and work out the operational kinks with an epic opening like this. The group I was with had a wonderful experience. We're excited to return and try out Union 30 next, and the pool with cigar bar will be the spot to be this summer!

Yelp
My bridal shower was held here this past week and it was absolutely beautiful. Trina is a pleasure to work with, she was very attentive, responded to our emails quickly and made sure the event went by smoothly. The bartender and all the staff were just amazing. Highly professional and friendly, food and drinks 10/10. All my guests were raving about how beautiful the space was and the friendly staff. I can't thank them enough for making this day special and highly recommend to all!

Yelp
Refreshing addition to the St. Louis scene. Tasty food with some unique twists. Excellent drink menu. Nice nighttime views. I would recommend adding some couches and comfy chairs to warm the room and give it more of a private club feel. Add more tv's to watch Cards and Blues too. I will be back!

Yelp
The bar was mediocre at best. The view was incredible, however they played Taylor Swift on loop which made me want to vomit. The shots they gave were messed up but so spicy my boyfriend shit his pants. Do not go here!!!!

Yelp
This place is all about the views. It's surrounded by windows, some of which open up. The set up is very nice, with different areas where you can eat or chat. The decor is very modern and in line with the rest of the hotel. They have a small late night menu and the sandwiches come with your option of their version of French fries, or my personal favorite, a bag of red hot riplets on a plate. The consensus across the board were that the drinks were pretty weak, imbalanced, and high in juice . They have nonalcoholic drinks as well, so maybe...never mind. The basal in the mojito was refreshing and a nice touch but the French 75 was lacking in fizz and too citrusy. They also use plastic glasses, which is interesting. Will be possibly be back during daytime hours to try the main menu.

Yelp
Being a huge fan of Louis Sullivan architecture, I was stoked to see the renovations complete of this building. To my surprise I not only got to get my fix of beautiful artwork and St Louis culture but the Form Skybar was a major bonus! The bartenders were so friendly, offering wonderful service & some additional info about the building history. LA & Page helped me pair the perfect wine to the charcuterie board. Lots of local flavor, perfect balance of sweet and savory. Looking forward to passing through St. Louis again soon and stopping back in!

Yelp
I highly recommended Form Skybar whether is for date night or just a nice night out with friends. As soon as we arrived the owner introduced himself and personally made us drinks. We had most of the restaurant to ourselves and could sit wherever we wanted (and all of the seating is freaking gorgeous). You can tell there's a lot of love and intention that's been put into making this bar a success and I can guarantee we'll be back for future drinks!

Yelp
Neat indoor bar with large expansive windows and plenty of TVs. There's a lot of space to spread out and plenty of high top tables and chairs to snag with friends. Cocktail list is quality. Would go back again.

Yelp
Went here last night as a guest of Hotel St. Louis before the Garth concert and walked in before it was too crowded where we could sit at one of the side bar tops. We waited 20 minutes and no servers came to our table. Husband went to the bar to get us a few beers and a food menu. 20 more minutes. While at the bar, asked if they were actually serving at the tables, told yes and he would send someone to take our food order. 20 minutes more. No one. Kindly went to the manager, told us someone would be right over, 10-15 minutes later a server. Asked how long food would take, told only 15-20 minutes. Ordered 2 sharables. 45 minutes later no food. Had to leave for the concert, hunted down our server, another 10 minutes to pay for the extra beer we ordered, didn't have change for a $20. Husband and I came up with $8 for the $6 beer and left. I felt bad for the servers but they were in no way ready to open or staffed well enough when the hotel was sold out and 70k people were in the area for a concert. Cool environment but I really hope they figure it out.

Yelp
We were here in August, I really like the setting and how they structured the entire bar. Food was really good, and the drinks were good. I understand pricing because it's a "sky bar" but the only reason it isn't a 5 star is because the drinks are a little too expensive.

Yelp
Awesome new spot. View is great. Drinks are great. Service is outstanding!!! Highly recommend you check it out, especially if you're a local. You'll be thoroughly impressed with what they've done. Love it when they rehab old historical buildings! Bring em back to life!

Yvette R.

Yelp
Positive: Good view of the city, and generally nice decor. Cons: Wait time is horrible, it seems they are constantly under staffed even in non-peak hours. Be prepared to wait north of 30 minutes for a simple appetizer. I ordered their flatbread and it was a pizza NOT a flatbread. Also lacks a defined ambiance.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place but I don't think it has quite found itself. We visited on a Saturday night for food and drinks. The room was way too brightly lit for a rooftop bar. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and they brought us Moscato. The plates and cups are all plastic which really clashes with the atmosphere. The food was overpriced and not good at all. My flatbread was super greasy and there are minimal healthy options.

Dan S.

Yelp
Went last night to checkout the newest rooftop bar in St. Louis. Very disappointed in pretty much every aspect of it. The seating and table arrangements were awkward and didn't fit the space well. They were streaming music from Pandora Free or similar service (so we listened to commercials); the music was also blaring out of one speaker that was on the floor next to the bar, which was too loud and echoed loudly throughout the room. The lighting was too bright for the space. The cocktails weren't very good (one had way too much alcohol in it) and we drank them out of cheap plasticware. We didn't see the point to try any of the food. Overall, I was left with the impression that this was someone's first time opening up a bar. Poorly done all the way around.

Lou F.

Yelp
Had reservation for Sat night and when arrived it took 45 min to get sat. Once sat nobody came to table. We waited another 45 and then got up and left. Waited 20 min at bar before I was able to get drink.

Jacob P.

Yelp
Food was GREAT! However, we ordered the sangria and it was terrible. Tasted like boxed wine on ice. And it was as much money as my meal.

Christian J.

Yelp
This is place was horrible, terrible service and long wait times. Why do you serve wine in plastic cups? The place looks beautiful but it doesn't make up for terrible service

James B.

Yelp
I visited Form Skybar last night and was blown away at how beautiful the building has become. I made my way up to the rooftop and ordered the Smash Burger and a couple beers. The beers are all locally brewed. The Smash Burger was excellent. The views are pretty cool as well. You have a panoramic view of Downtown and open windows to feel the breeze come in. Definitely a great addition to Downtown!
