I gotta give them some props because it was 5am on a Sunday morning and I was on a red eye flight and was just happy something was open that wasn't like a prepackaged 90 grain sandwich sold at a vending machine.
First, the ordering systems at airports now are nightmares. I was traveling mostly with cash, but u can't pay with cash. Or order drop a person. U sit down and press a screen then swipe a debit card. Which makes me think, if touchless ordering is for safety...are we really safer touching a touchscreen someone has been using while eating and we're now directly touching prior to eating? Seems to make no sense at all. Anyway, my pizza was like 21 bucks, but the size was actually pretty good (not gonna meet international neopolitan standards but they probably weren't nominated).
Anyway, first, the sauce and cheese were fine, no problems with them, and the dough texture was solid. But the dough, was so unbelievable flavorless it was like cardboard...truly bizarre. And they're a chain...someone had to ok the these recipes!!
The other thing u don't really want is 5 gigantic pieces of basil...generally you have torn basil leaves on a pizza. The tomatoes while ok, def not san marzano, and for the price, the lack of flavor and everything was just not cool.
I still can't get over the crust...ive never tasted anything Iike it (yeastless? Salt less, idk...just reminds me of when I had bells palsy and couldn't taste anything on the right side of my tongue).
