I ordered a Margherita Pizza for my five year old son, a blonde woman gave me a cheese pizza and said a Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza were the same thing. She didn’t even blink while lying to me and I saw them serve our food to a different table.

Overpriced! I wish I could check the reviews first. I had high hopes for this pizza, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst I’ve ever had. The artichoke and mushroom pizza was nothing like the menu photo—not only did it look unappetizing, but it also tasted overwhelmingly like tomato paste rather than a well-balanced pizza. The truffle pizza was another letdown. Instead of the rich, earthy truffle flavor, all I could taste was garlic—overpowering and unpleasant. There was nothing authentic or remotely Italian-style about either of these pizzas. Overall, this was a truly disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it. If you're looking for real Italian-style pizza, this is not the place.

The only magical thing about this place is how slow the food takes to make. We waited an hour as did others. The waiter promised to bring drinks and did not deliver. When another member of staff saw he had not brought them, she did. My husband was given no silverware. He asked. Again the waiter conveniently did not bring it and another staff member was stunned and brought it. There were two workers out of six that worked. The other ones were on their phone or in la la land. This is my first and last visit to this non magical place!

Forno Magico was my last meal stateside before my solo Japan trip. I write this to you, my dear reader, from a coffee shop in Kyoto while I reminisce on the most mid 2 eggs any style breakfast I've ever had. Honestly though, it was better than I was expecting. I mean it's airport food... but perhaps anything would have tasted decent due to sheer excitement for the upcoming trip. A lot of our experiences get tied to the headspace we are in in the current moment. $20 for this is so laughable considering I'm paying around $7 in Japan for some of the best meals I've ever had. Going back is gonna be tough... IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Pizza place in C terminal has everything to make a good pizza but doesn't. After waiting long enough to have 2 personal margaritas made, the pizzas arrived barely warm and apparently not fresh made. For $21 each, I was hoping for better. The server took off 20% for using United CC but added a 17% tip with out asking.

I had a stop over at the gate next to here and saw the QR code on the table by the gate. I decided to try it and just wanted some fries and some garlic bread. I placed the order and the wait began. You would not think these two items would take long to make at all. After 30 minutes I walked over to the place to check on the order. After several minutes a lady finally came out. I showed her my order and she went next door to check on it. After about another 10 minutes she came back with the fries and some sticks of bread and that she would make the garlic bread as she said “they did not make the order.” I guess she had the fries made then and brought them out. I had to cancel it due to my flight was starting to board. I had high hopes seeing the table side ordering and delivery at the gate. But it turned out to be a total fail. It may work at other times but this time was disappointing. I had to request a refund via the text they sent me when I made the initial order. We shall see if I get it. In a side note the fries did not taste too bad but were a little on the salty side.

Pizza had a fly on it and had ordered drink, when asked staff where is the drink she just shook her head and had to approach different server to get the drink. The staff member who I have showed fly on the pizza to just said ask for refund online and there is no manager here.

My husband and I decided to eat at this restaurant before our international flight. We ordered the spinach and artichoke pie, the food itself was not bad, it was okay and overpriced as expected because it is inside the airport but the service was terrible, or I should say, non-existent. My husband tipped when ordering the food and no service whatsoever was received. We are pretty easy people, but the waitress just to deliver the food and then left, and no service was offered afterwards. My husband ordered Diet Coke and I wanted water, when we asked for the water, the waitress just pointed out and told us to get the water and the refill of the Diet Coke. At that point, we were wondering why did we have to include the tip for a service we didn’t receive. Based on previous reviews, I believe this is an ongoing issue, and this should be addressed for a better customer service.

Yelp
Hard to review an airport restaurant but this place is deliciously terrible. You sit down and scan a QR code which has become standard but was a good 15 minutes before I could navigate their crappy app and make my order. We are in an AIRPORT!!! Speed is key. Literally nobody is there so walked up to see if I could get our drinks - server will bring them.... 10 minutes from now. We are in an AIRPORT!!! Finally food came 25 minutes later, again nobody there and We are in an AIRPORT!!! Most amazing part is we had 1 glass of wine, 1 beer and 1 pizza and was $80. So crazy, average food and glacial service for $80. At one point we heard the server say she was out all night and had hour of sleep. It's Newark airport, I expect little but charge me $30, not $80. Disaster

Yelp
Staff not attentive. Order online pay online, pizza burnt and didn't cut the last piece properly, hardly any veggies. Took a long time. Didn't offer forks/knives
google avatar

Yelp
Food service fast enough, but was left with no reason to return. Employees seem to hate working there and nobody--nobody--in the entire restaurant was offered water service. It's just plain deception to hide the water pitchers in the corner and present every naive customer with the option to pay for water as the first pop-up in the ordering process. I asked for tap water and received it, though there is nothing really resembling table service at this restaurant. Pizza was mediocre, like two steps up from reheated NYC slices, nothing like a real Neapolitan pie.

Mateo E.

Yelp
Staff not attentive. Ordered 2 modelos and they gave us 1 modelo one stella artois. Explained it wasn't what we ordered and they said they're out of modelo and it tastes the same if we don't look at the color. It also doesn't taste the same? Don't recommend.

Yelp
If you have the time, then this isn't a bad option. But FFS, people, it's a sign of the times that many places are understaffed, so adjust your expectations. Sure, it's expensive, but it's an AIRPORT. Newark International has some of the *best* food amenities of any US airport, and Forno is just fine. It is slow, and likely not going to speed up any time soon. But be nice! Why complain in a venue that you are likely going to be inconvenienced? Airports are nothing more than 'hurry up and wait'. Just be nice, relax, and enjoy a drink and maybe a wood-fired pizza. If other reviews scare you away, the you're doing it wrong. The food is fine. The service is doing their best, at times. The prices are high. The people-watching is fabulous. Just know that this is not someplace you want to stop if you have a connection with a short timeline. But it is a solid option for the long layover or if you're early to the terminal and you have the patience.

Sangeeta P.

Yelp
They forgot half our order and the pizza was raw. And they were nasty. This was a new low even for airport food. Stay away!

Yelp
I have eaten a lot of pizza in my life and if I had to rate one as the worst pizza in my life then this place would defiantly win that award. Strolling thru Newark airport to my gate, I was an hour early for my flight and this place looks good from the outside. But like a bad movie with a good poster I should have known better. The ordering system is terrible and you can only order with their app and hand type in your credit card. They have fancy iPads on the tables but this is terrible as when you get a pizza there is no place to put it if you want to share with your travel partner. Then the app wants to include a hefty tip before the food even arrives. I had a diet soda that was so flat they is was no better than food colored water. When the pizza arrived it actually looked decent but the taste was so bad I thought I was eating a cardboard box disguised as a pizza. The cheese was passable but the sausage and base dough was terrible. So there you go. If you want to eat the wort pizza in the world then make sure to put this place on your bucket list of must visit places.

Yelp
tl;dr - don't go here. Don't give these people your money. Appalling service. Rude. Food below average. I have low expectations. It's the NY metro. It's Sunday AM. It's the airport. I wasn't expecting Disney Cruise Lines or the Four Seasons; but I got more engagement from bouncers in the East Village at 1am. I make no exaggeration when I say that this was the worst service I have every received in any food establishment, including fast food. I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The food was meh, about what you'd expect for the airport, maybe below average. I get that it's the airport and not everyone is loving their job... but this was another level. I could have given them a break, but they're all laughing / taking having a good time... but the minute they get in front of a customer they switch to non-verbal grunts and a salty face like you've just received the worst news in the world. Summary: - No greeting when I walked in. I asked the server if I could sit anywhere. Barely any non verbal communication. No eye contact. Not a word. I found my seat. - I see it's a digital menu, order my food, and pay. - About 10 mins go by. I hear one of the servers say in a loud voice: "you can take that over to that man" (referring to me). Some guy (who didn't appear to be working here wearing a high vis jacket and dressed like he's ground crew) hands my OJ directly to me - not even putting it the 6 inches further on the table. - Another 10 go by. - The food is brought over and basically dropped in front of me - not a word was said. - I eat my food - No one checks if it was OK - Another 10 go by. - I leave. Don't go here. Don't give these people your money. To the owners: you're wasting money on staff. Replace them all with kiosks. You'll increase your ROI and improve your NPS.

Yelp
Our gate was pretty close to the restaurant and yet our pizza arrived cold. We ordered a margherita pizza only to receive a cold pizza that had no basil on it‍ also ordered beverages a hot tea (mystic mint) and a corona beer! The beer arrived alright but they didn't have any mystic mint nor any other flavours! So basically they were out of options and served cold pizza also upon asking assistance they simply shrugged and said all we could do is refund the amount that might take 48hrs! Not the best experience at the Newark airport with forno magico

Yelp
Horrible service. Specifically asked for no cheese on pizza lactose intolerant child. They could not get this right -- even after asking 2-3 times if doable. Charged me for order. Attempted credit which did not come though. We are boarding an 18 hour flight without food. Wish us luck.

Yelp
This place has gone to hell. We used to love coming here when flying out of Newark and it was a reliably good meal, but it's really gone downhill since covid. The menu has changed a lot in the 3 years since we came here last (not for the better) and the service has declined as well. We got a side of fries and they were bland and tasteless and didn't come with the advertised lemon aioli, just plain old ketchup; we really would have been much better off getting fast food fries. The margherita pie we got was flavorless and we only finished as we needed sustenance. Thank God we had some wine with the meal, but there are better food options at Newark airport and we won't be returning here again.

Yelp
Wow should have read all the 1 star reviews before dining here. There's no menu outside of the restaurant so you can easily determine if you want to eat here. You order and pay via your phone, tipping in advance. I was traveling alone and sat down at a table for 4 and another gentleman joined me. The waitress came and said we had to sit at the high top tables with barstools so a family could sit at our table so we moved. Since I was sitting next to the kitchen I saw that the chef didn't even start my pizza until 30 minutes after I ordered it. The pizza oven only fits two pizzas! With all the seating they have, they need a larger pizza oven since everyone was ordering pizza! The pizza is only cut on the top level and the plastic silverware given couldn't cut it. I love pizza but the crust here was inedible. I watched two people order pizzas whose plane was departing at the next gate and eventually they had to give up and leave without the pizza they prepaid for. The staff knew these people were in a rush but didn't instruct the chef to make their pizza next. Staff was rude and didn't care about urgency.

Yelp
Order was never received. Waitress mentioned there were no more meatballs after inquiring about my order after 25 minute wait. I asked to cancel order. Waitress and manager said i would have to do that online. I attempted to cancel online but nothing would happen when i pressed submit. I informed the manager about this and she informed me that it happens often because of the wifi and to try later. With different wifi. I tried later and still it did not work. I then disputed the charge on my credit card and recently found a letter from my credit card that Forno Magico did not credit me $41 of food that i never received. Terrible business model. Terrible customer service. Can't say anything about the food or drink because it was never received.

Yelp
Convenient spot to eat at the airport . Contactless ordering through the app or console at the table . A server brings your food but other than that I had no contact ... no checking back etc ... a little odd as you tip ahead of time but truly get no service .

Yelp
The Newark Airport has some of the best, if not the best food service of any airport in North America. I have dined at this establishment many times to kill time waiting for an international flight. Everything is really very good, especially the meatball appetizer. It must be a sign of the times, tough to get good labor, not enough labor to handle the crowd and bad attitude labor. I experienced some really poor service and entrée execution on my recent visit. The first red flag is the wait time to get your order. I observed wait times averaging 35-45 minutes. This is not going to work in an airport venue. The wait staff did not know the differences between the 4 salads offered on the menu due to lack of training. My favorite dish, meatballs showed up less the sauce, which has been the best aspect of the meatball appetizer. The staff was yelling at each other over order errors and confusion. This place needs management accountability. Having said this i hope they get their act together because the food is delicious. I will always be back as long as I have 2 hours prior to my flight boarding.

Yelp
Do not go here if you are in a rush. I mean it. Airport restaurants are typically good at getting you out quickly (most people are on a deadline, duh) but this place was BAD. You can only order on an iPad bolted to the table - no humans are there to help. My partner and I each entered our own drink and food orders separately and paid separately - it wasn't intuitive to be able to link them in any way. After 15 minutes with no interaction whatsoever, my partner had to go up to the back and probe them to even just get some water. Our drinks came 5 mins later (20 MINS after we had ordered) and our food 20 minutes after that (40 MINS after we had ordered). It took them 40 minutes to bring me a salad and a side of mashed potatoes and I wish I was joking. For context, it was 2pm on a Thursday and there were very few others at the restaurant, so it wasn't busy. The table next to us had to get their pizza in a to-go box because they didn't want to miss their flight; they told me they had been waiting almost an hour. The two stars are because the food was good; my partner said his steak was great as were my two sides that I got. But the lateness, the lack of any human acknowledgement or interaction, all of it was just flat out bad.

Sam P.

Yelp
I was passing through this airport show this place and decided to order a Pi from here, and when order arrived it came a Fly on it. not only that the staff here provided bad service. Bad food.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
3.5/5 When dining in an airport, you have to lower your expectations and open your wallet. Our flight landed at 6pm Valentine's Day and this was best dinner option we saw. We ordered the mussels, wings + beer special and pepperoni pizza, with grapefruit juice on the side. In my honest opinion the food wasn't even bad! The service was also very nice and prompt. I especially loved my mussels, they were spicey and buttery. The wings were flavored and tender. Pizza was okay, nothing special. The beer was HUGE. I took off 1.5 stars because the iPads In the middle of the table were awkward and I had a hard time sharing the meal.
google avatar

Meydad F.

Yelp
The service is terrible, they dropped my pizza on the floor and took forever to make another, they did not provide any napkins until I asked for it - twice. The pizza is NOT Neapolitan style, only in the shape of one, the dough is hard and not hydrated and fermented as Neapolitan. The sauce is just diluted tomato paste (at least it taste like it) and no balance in flavors. Not even talking about the $50 bill for 1 pizza 2 beers.
google avatar

Tasneem P.

Yelp
Pizza is just ok. Nothing great. I paid more for mushrooms and as you can see I think I got only 1 mushroom total.

Sophia C.

Yelp
First of all, I would like to start off by recognizing that airport food isn't the best quality, and that's ok. The food wasn't the problem with this restaurant. The problem was the amount of time it took for the servers to prepare everything. There was an online menu which I ordered 4 chicken tender orders for my friends and I, and I was sent a confirmation text when the order was complete. But when I went up to the front counter with my digital receipt, the server looked at it and told me that she would start the order. By this point it had already been around 5 minutes and I'm not sure what they had been doing during this time. I understand that a larger order like that would take more time to prepare, but when I get an "order complete" text, I was kinda expecting my order to be complete. The food took another 15 minutes to be prepared. My friend also ordered, but when they came out with the food on the plate, he requested to have it to go. They then proceeded to drop the food on the ground, leading him to almost miss the deadline for when we had to be at our gate as the re-prepared the food. Overall, this place wasn't bad, but I would only recommend it if you have time to spare as they seem to be somewhat disorganized. -Side Note: one of the cooks was looking at his phone as he was taking a pizza out of the oven
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
Trying to make a flight on time? Looking for a place with good food and service? Skip this spot, not a good experience! While there were two friendly staff members, there were others who wouldn't even bring us water. We ordered a Margherita pizza - this is a pizza that typically has basil and tomato (menu indicates this much). They gave us a plain cheese pizza and called it margherita. When we pointed out there wasn't tomato or basil, they told us that's how the pizza is supposed to be. They told us there was basil. Well, we must be without correct vision and unable to taste because we could not see or taste any basil. Salad didn't come out with the pizza and then we had to wait several minutes to get forks to eat it when int arrived later. If you want red flakes, they are available by request and served in a to go paper coffee cup. Expensive, NOT worth it and also very slow for an airport! Keep walking and find somewhere else.

Yelp
Trapped in concourse c with a long layover. Overpriced choices. We ate here. Salads werent bad for 11 and 12 dollars. Pizza 18+ ok. Artichoke dip was a bunch of artichokes. Service was horrible. Never saw waitress after food brought. Couldn't add mushrooms to a pepperoni pizza.
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting a 4 or 5 star dining experience in an airport but I also wasn't expecting the terrible service we received here. If no stars were an option I would have chosen that. While ordering one of the servers told us that we couldn't order pizza. Wasn't bothered by that but found it odd that others ordered them after we arrived and we could see them continually being made in the kitchen. Pizza is one of the lower priced items on their outrageously priced menu. It took 40 minutes for part of our order to come out. Trying to be patient I assumed the rest of our food would arrive shortly. After finishing the first part of our order I got up and told one of the staff that we hadn't received all of our food. She didn't check our order, apparently knowing their system is poor at best, she asked me what I had not received and brought it to me. The ordering here is automated. You scan a QR code that takes you to their ordering system. You place your order, pay for it and add your tip when paying. This system insures they get tipped even when their service is poor. Why bother putting in an effort if it won't make a difference? The entire time we were there, around 1 1/2 hours, I never seen a single table get cleaned and cleared of dirty dishes. The debris were piling up everywhere. I watched a family come in and clear a table for themselves. Great COVID protocol, NOT! If traveling through this terminal in the future I'd rather go hungry than eating here again.

Yael Z.

Yelp
Worse service An hour wait for a pizza Drinks take 1/2 hour and this is an airport restaurant Stuff doesn't car
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
Stopped in for some awesome wood fired pizza and meatballs on a two-hour layover. It's a great way to experience New Jersey without having to leave the airport or get stuck in traffic!
google avatar

Jean Y.

Yelp
Located in Newark airport. Didn't expect a good pizza at the airport especially after super good pizza we had in Connecticut. Ordered clam and meatball pizza and we were sold! The dough was so tasty of course clams and meatball also. IPad thing on the table was fun also. IPA was tasty.

Pam S.

Yelp
If you can, bring a snack and avoid this eaterie. Very expensive food and mediocre quality. After paying $3.95 to add avocado to a salty beet salad, I was shocked to only get 3 slivers of avocado. I asked 3 times for a glass of water that never came. Staff work hard but are rude and disinterested.
google avatar

Nena D.

Yelp
I literally waited for 1.5 hrs. And my food never arrived. I'm going to say I was in a forgiving mood but I had to catch my flight and had to wait another 20 minutes to get my money back.
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
For airport food, it's ok. Shared a batch of French fries and a pizza. Arugula and prosciutto. Prices are a bit high, but what do you expect for an airport.
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
Trash service. Rude waitress and they missed up the order. Also cost 120 dollars for two pizzas and two drinks. PASS.
google avatar

Casey L.

Yelp
Surprisingly this was really good. Expensive, but the avocado egg sandwich with potatoes was great. Good coffee too. Not "service" other than them bringing the food to your table... took a while but we had a long layover so no big deal.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
Literally the worst customer service ever. the tables were dirty and I went to ask for a rag so I could wipe the table and I was asked to 'show him where the dirt was'. I showed him and then he sent someone over to wipe up my table spot. we had to ask her to please wipe the rest of the table as well.... the staff was definitely busier talking on their phones and to each other than the few customers they had. I will say the food was not bad. normal expectation for airport food. either way eat anywhere else at Newark airport!! Oh, and you have to pay and tip prior to getting service so I would say tip 0 and leave cash if it exceeds anything other than pure torture.
google avatar

Benjamin K.

Yelp
I sat down to charge my phone and considered ordering something, then checked the reviews and thought better of it. Food sucked, service sucked, place was awful, got it. But then something magical happened. A waiter came by and asked if I had any questions. He then came by again. What is this...service? Maybe the place wasn't so terrible? Fine, I needed more charge so I ordered a pizza, specifically a meatball and mushroom pizza. Best pizza ever!!!! Haha not really. But it was better than okay. Not a lot but a little. And the meatballs were solid. Overall it's airline pricing and airline food, but far from bad and definitely deserves better than the sub-2 rating it has.

Jennierose S.

Yelp
Horrible. Can't even order unless you scan a code on a screen and then when there is technical issues, employees can't do anything about it. ... why is the menu and ordering capabilities simply on the tablets that are at every seat? Why can't you just order from the tablet? ... why not just a picture of the code to scan, what purpose does it even serve? ... can't cancel order, have to stay at the sea t you scanned a code, employee are useless. Absolutely zero service, Bloody Mary taste like tomato and has no booze in it, lox were okay I suppose.
google avatar

Shraddha S.

Yelp
The waiters here are unprofessional. I had to inquire thrice about my fries and wait for about an hour. The staff did not even apologize to me for such a huge delay. They got my fries when I had to leave to board my flight!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Pizza takes forever. I had to finally leave without it. It needs to be faster if you are serving food at an airport. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Shannon Z.

Yelp
It's an airport restaurant, I went in with low standards. The waitress insisted she seat us, but the dining room floor was empty. So that's an awkward start to service. You have to order from ipads on the table - but the ipad was placed in such a terrible location basically making it hard to share food like pizza. And to make matters worse, my ipad was filthy and covered in a red sauce from someone before me. We ordered a margarita pizza and a salad - the pizza was underwhelming and the salad had dressing that was too acidic to even finish. The people that sat down next to us happened to order the exact same thing - and their food looked WAY better than ours. Their version of the same pizza had fresh basil and herbs on top, more cheese than ours. If given options, I would skip this place - if you walk further down the concourse there is a food court.

Patti M.

Yelp
Don't eat at this airport restaurant. Ordered at 6:52 am. Food was not delivered until 7: 18 am. The "hot" tea was barely lukewarm. The eggs Benedict, although somewhat tasty, were also cold. Only the home fries were hot. Insufficient staff to properly handle the few people in the restaurant. No water was offered. $34.04 for a terrible breakfast. (One breakfast order)
google avatar

Lourdes G.

Yelp
Rudest and most uncaring staff you can imagine. Went in, not busy at all. Waitress told me it would be a 40 minute wait because she was the only server. The other server walked in just then and when I asked if it would still be 40 minutes, she said 'No, 35." If I owned this place, I would be very worried about how the staff was taking care of my business.
google avatar

Jocelyn C.

Yelp
Slooooowest service ever in an airport. Ordered chocolate cake and after 45 min with a nudge on where is our food, we were asked whether carrot cake is fine..... ridiculous is not even close to describe this situation.
google avatar

Gulsen B.

Yelp
Imagine you are starving and can eat anything, but not the ones in this restaurant. 1- We ordered mushrooms pizza and it was like a very think bread with 3 pieces of mushrooms topping. 2- We ordered eggplant rollatini and it was the worst eggplant ever, we could not eat at all. Place whatever you want but make sure not to place that eggplant. They charges while ordering and even you have to pay tip before having a service and while choosing the tip waitress just stands next to you to see how much you are giving. So we gave 20% to ensure a good service but she even put our silverware way after plates come to the table. We couldn't eat any of that eggplant rollatini and she didn't care to ask why we didn't eat it, of course she won't- she already tipped 20% for her terrible service. I didn't try the other restaurants but I tried this one so make sure to go anywhere else. Me and my husband were both starving and could not eat here.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Ordered a sausage pizza, which arrived without sausage. When I sent it back, the staff accused me of eating all the sausage off the pizza before sending it back. I don't know what kind of person would pay thirty dollars for a pizza to do that, but it ain't me. I left the uneaten pizza on the table and didn't tip.

Mark C.

Yelp
The service in this place is despicable We ordered a pizza and two diet colas. After 15 minutes out came to warm, flat diet Pepsis Kind of like warm cola juice After another 20 minutes of wondering where our pizza was, and intercepting multiple "waiters" to try to find it, finally came a pizza Except it wasn't OUR pizza, it was a different pizza someone else ordered What do you expect when you order off a cellphone QR menu instead of a live person who actually knows who you are? Don't go there unless your flight boards in two hours or more!

Yelp
The wait staff could not be bothered to help me order or make sure that order was free of allergens. She was careless and rude.

Yelp
Doesn't even make sense going here. No service, high prices and shitty food. Took 45min to get tap water.

Yelp
Terrible service and they really stick it you because you pay first so I tip my normal 20% hah jokes on me.... If I could give zero stars I would.

Yelp
We love it here! They play great music especially if you like soul). We ordered the pizza margharita with garlic, basil and mushrooms. The flavour was delicious - especially the the sauce! The crust was great too and the avocado toast - also delicious and the salad with it was really fresh - lovely dressing and just the right amount (I hate it drenched). I ordered the red blend and my palate was extremely fond of it. We had a lovely waitress, Anna and then I met Al, who was making the dough and putting it all into the pizza oven. Extremely happy now. He was so nice too. He has dreadlocks. Be sure to say "hello". They work really hard and are really nice as well. Almost makes me want to come back to Newark

Yelp
I needed to give it a few days before I wrote this review. I was so excited to see high quality food options in the United terminal. My children and I looked at the menus of several different places and chose this one. Freshly baked pizza? Delicious pasta? Meatball hoagie: I'm down! Every seat has an iPad to order your food & drinks, charging port for your phone, credit card swipe to pay so it's amazing. Not waiting for them to come by for anything! The problem is: they never come by. Considering the place had about a dozen patrons, we figured it wasn't that busy. We arrived 1 hour before the flight. Ordered a pizza and a meatball hoagie and some drinks. The drinks took about 15 min and the pizza arrived in 25 min. For those unfamiliar, that's not very fast for a thin crust. The next 15 minutes (waiting for a meatball hoagie) really tested my patience. Never once did the server (who brought drinks and pizza) offer to check on the meal. 40 minutes out from when we walked in, I asked the server very simply to remove the hoagie from my bill or have it boxed to go immediately: I wasn't going to miss a flight for a sandwich, no matter how good it was. It took another 5 minutes for the sandwich that was "ready" to actually make it to our table. But the real kicker isn't getting a sandwich boxed for a flight versus sitting at a table and eating like a human being: remember with whom I was traveling? Thanks Forno Mágico. Your line crashed because a dozen customers chose your place in the middle of the afternoon; the server either didn't know how long the food she serves takes to prepare, or just didn't care; and customers can't savor the anticipation of the meal because they're too busy managing their anxiety over missing their flight because the food takes too damn long. The only result I can take away from this experience, I had one less meal to enjoy with my children. But yeah, the food's decent. That's how they got the second star.
