Forst's Landhaus

Check-in simple again, although did have to sign in. Wi-Fi of course not really working, but asked at desk, and they had to reset the upstairs extender. You'd think they'd do this automatically when guests are coming :-( this is the 3rd straight Mon & pop place with this issue. Internet in this area is not very good according to owner, even without local issues connecting.||||Parking is about 1/2 block away. Easy walk to hotel. Decent size room, but almost no outlets. Unplugged TV to get a plug not in the bathroom.||||Dinner at hotel was excellent. Almost white glove service. Lit a tall candle at our table. Also served a small appetizer not ordered, as classy restaurants do. Dinner was very light gnochies for one entree, and a schnitzel with potatoes for the other. Both came out steaming hot, looked good on the plate, and tasted great. An excellent meal. Since we are staying, they gladly added it to the room bill.||||A good stay near Prunn castle.

After the 8 days Bavarian food a good place to eat. A good kitchen with real cuisine choice. The room was not big, but with a balcony. The house is situated next to a small river. Friendly service and good hospitality.

First of all it is definitely a restaurant worth to give it a try. ||We went there as we had been told the cook has got a Michelin star (where he worked before); so our expectations were obviously quite high.||The premises are quite ordinary; the menu turned out to be split in rather mouth-watering special dishes (not too many which is a good sign) and some extremely ordinary dishes which you can find anywhere else, like Schweinebraten for EUR 6,90. Maybe this is a trick to attract as many people as possible.||Anyway, we had Pastinakensuppe which was very good, really something that you do not so easily get. The Rucola-Risotto, though very good as well, was definitely too little, so one of us went home still hungry.|The Zwiebelrostbraten was tasty and abundant; some did not like the onions, some others did like them; so we were not clear on this. The Kaninchen came with lots of meat. and little amount of smashed potatoes (Püree, which by the way was excellent) and even less amount of green beans. This is a tribute to the meat-consuming society and shows little courage to convince people to eat more vegetables. Nevertheless the meat was not bad.||So, all together, probably we had too high expectations; this is the reason why we definitely have to give this restaurant another try. Let's see whether it is worth 5 stars on Tripdavisor next time.

Forst‘s Landhaus können wir wärmstens empfehlen, hier fühlen sich Augen und Gaumen u. a. absolut wohl. Gemütliches Ambiente mit harmonisch eingerichteter Gaststube, Stofftischdecken, Stoffservietten und frischen Blumen auf einem schön gedeckten Tisch, bequeme Stühle. Hier passt alles harmonisch zusammen. Vielseitige Speisenkarte, Essen auf hohem Niveau, interessante Kreationen. Hausgemachte Getränke. Gehobene Gastronomie, geschmacklich top, frische Zutaten, Speisen für alle Sinne. Freundliche Bedienungen, ruhige sowie gediegene Atmosphäre. Distanz zum Nachbartisch. Hintergrundmusik ganz nach meinem Geschmack 👍🏻. Saubere Toiletten. Herzlichen Dank für den schönen Abend in Ihrem Wohlfühl-Restaurant und für die angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist Mega gut! Einfach unbeschreiblich!!! 🥰 … oder auch anders gesagt: Da nackade Wahnsinn❣️ Ich bin ja eigentlich "a wirkle hoiglicha Drack" (hab's auch nicht so mit Fleisch etc.), aber hier schmeckt einfach alles grandios! Meine Familie ist jedes Mal begeistert! Hier wird wahrlich noch mit Leidenschaft gekocht und das spiegelt sich auch in den Gerichten wider! Ich war auch nie ein besonderer Suppenfan, aber hier… ich find' keine geeigneten Worte, die treffend beschreiben würden, wie unbeschreiblich lecker diese Suppen schmecken.... und dazu dann noch diese Desserts. Ich könnt' mich das ganze Jahr nur allein von den Suppen und Desserts ernähren. 🙈😂 Wahrlich ein Paradies für Genießer! ❤️

Die Familie Forst sind herzliche Gastgeber zu denen wir immer wieder gerne kommen. Wir können das Landhaus inkl. Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen! Warum? Saubere Zimmer, super leckeres Essen und ein außergewöhnliches Team, dass einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen abliest.
