My family and I visited here today for my kiddo's birthday. This location is a tad hidden and if you don't have your maps on, you'll likely miss it. It's right next to the former sugar factory, but tucked in a bit behind it.
Fair warning, this children's museum is A LOT smaller than the one in the Museum District. Like by a lot. It is probably 5 times, if not more, smaller than the MD location. Parking is a lot easier though as it's not as busy as their main location.
Upon entering, it smelled of being freshly cleaned, which is reassuring that my kid (hopefully) won't catch any bugs here. Once inside, you have to walk a bit of ways until you get to the main desk. The cashiers check you in, take your payment and then issue you the museum stickers that signify that you've paid.
There are a few main areas with smaller activities within them. The area immediately to your left after paying was mostly for Asian heritage/culture. Further down, there was another area that had various "Klutz" branded crafts within it - such as making unique paper airplanes along with "tests" to see if you could yank a tablecloth out from under some dishes.
Further down in the museum, you'll find "Kidtropolis" which is basically their little kiddo town. This town has all sorts of pockets of stores, a bank, a vet's office, etc. Children can pretend to be a veterinarian, a banker, a CSI personnel, and even a chef.
Overall, it was entertaining for an hour or so. We began looking for "the rest" towards the end of the town, but realized that was it.
