"Fort George, one of Astoria’s two biggest breweries, offers numerous dining rooms in a vaulted, industrial space that’s always filled with fans and conviviality. The main floor sports the brewpub, with a menu of staples like burgers, sandwiches, and seafood to pair with the brewery’s famous stouts, porters, and lighter options. A spiral iron staircase leads to an upper floor with more casual seating and pizza; look for specials like a pie topped with Oregon dulse. You can also sit in the intimate taphouse in a historic renovated garage next door that still hosts some of the more select brewing operations or outdoors on a breezy patio with a fire pit." - Jennifer Burns Bright, Alex Frane

"And to keep the experience convincingly Portland, Oregon’s Fort George Brewery will be there, too, pouring beer (that’s typically only distributed in the Pacific Northwest) to wash down Lardo’s famed dirty fries — prepared with pork scraps, marinated peppers, fried herbs, and parmesan." - Caleb Pershan

Google
Best brewpub in Astoria, the kind of place you visit more than once. Pub food but dialed up a notch. Great variety of beer styles, including some quality lagers. Good vibes inside and outside. Store selling merch across the patio on the way out. Can’t beat it.

Google
Fantastic. The beer and food is excellent. Great atmosphere with indoor outdoor and sometimes upstairs seating. Got the tuna melt sandwich and it was a huge filet! As much as I’d expect for a dinner plate at a seafood restaurant! The Anaheim burger was also delicious. Cooked to order. Tasty fries. I had a stout that was delicious. Def happy to come here. The chowder is great.

Google
Got their wood fired pizza to go and was impressed with the quality of the crust! Delightful texture. We got their wintertime pizza with added Italian sausage and absolutely recommend it! Decided to go back the next day to check out their atmosphere, and really loved the river view from the top floor. Their burger and seasoned fries were solid, as was their selection of beer. But the pizza is the real showstopper.

We stopped in town and we’re debating between going here or to a different brewery, but are so happy we chose to come here! The food was an elevated hub food, with homemade dressing. Our favorite one was the poutine and the fish and chips (made with tuna, not traditional cod). The beer was obviously also very good. We were told the vortex was their flagship beer and it’s a good piney really good IPA!!

Google
Top floor was simply amazing! Great view, great food and great service! Beers were all fantastic, had a flight. Wood fired pizza and seafood chowder were both one of a kind and delish! Would go again in a heart beat!

Google
Vast, welcoming public space for gathering to meet friends, grab a bite and a brew (or other tasty beverage), and kill some time on a lazy afternoon. Our impromptu Sunday visit to Astoria had us wandering around the downtown area, browsing shops, nibbling some delicious fish and chips (from you know where), and eventually parking our tired selves here for a drink, before the long, winding drive back to Portland. A helpful menu, in both the seating area, as well as above the bar, lists the current rotation of brews; in our case, February was Stout Month, which my wife was happy to hear, as she was looking forward to an Oatmeal Stout, which was readily available. She ended up ordering a tasting flight of four, only one of which she wasn't fond of; the rest fit the bill nicely. Being a bigger fan of the harder liquors, I ordered a bourbon mule, which was ice cold and refreshing; exactly what was needed after hours of walking and shopping. Although we were full up from said nearby fish and chips, we couldn't help but ogle the massive, hearty, delicious-looking burgers, pizzas and other pub fare being served to nearby tables. Having satisfied my objective of (finally!) dining at Bowpickers, I am now free to eat elsewhere in Astoria upon our next return visit, and I have my sights set squarely on Fort George, here! With plenty of space to host even the largest of crowds (and that's said without having checked out the upper floor!), Fort George Public House is worthy of its namesake's name, serving as a bastion of reprieve for the weary, thirsty, and hungry traveler, local and tourist alike. Very recommended!

Google
Great view of the Columbia River from upstairs. They serve mostly pizza, which has a great crunch and is light. The draft root beer is my go-to but if you want a more adult drink, you can try some of the other options as they have a taster tray available. We really liked the City of Dreams hazy pale ale. We’ll be back (again)!

Google
Fort George is a wonderful place to stop in Astoria for lunch or dinner. During peak times it can get really busy but usually the wait times are fairly low. Outdoor seating that is Dog friendly they have water bowls out for you to use for your dogs. Order inside the main building at the bar. If you are out on the patio you can skip the food line and head over to the Lovell taproom to get a beer. If you are wanting to get merch there is a separate store on site with everything they have to offer saving you time from standing with folks wanting to order food or beer

Yelp
This place is delicious. I like the way they reimagine pizza (upstairs). Be adventurous and try one of their pizzas with the hot honey. It is confusing how they have split the upstairs from downstairs. I wish you could order from either --wherever you sit. Great service, great food, it is worth the hype and is a must stop if you are here visiting.

Kim R.

Yelp
Recently visited, it had been years. I was surprised to see they'd changed to counter ordering. Personally I prefer this to table service most of the time. The only unfortunate result in their setup was if you sat yourself in the vicinity of the counter that line can back right up to your table. Our food was brought to the table pretty fast. We'd ordered a chicken Ceasar and bacon cheeseburger. Unfortunately the bacon was absent from our burger, and they were busy enough we decided not to mess with heading up to request it. The salad was fresh but the chicken was slightly tough. Good flavors on both dishes though.

Yelp
Food was ok. Lots of drinks to choose from. Server was helpful and quick. The layout of the restaurant was cool. Great place to enjoy a beer outside and hang with friends.

Amy G.

Yelp
This brewery is absolutely lovely. It's fun and delicious. What more do y'all need? Spacious and fun. Delicious woodfire pizza and a gluten-free option. I'll share that photo so you can see how lovely even a GF pizza is here. The beer is next level. Some of the best Oregon offers. I think the staff and town are so beautiful. I used to live in Astoria, so maybe I'm a little biased. But good service is good service, right? They offer some cocktails, too. You will find something fun to drink and the staff will be sure you enjoy your stay. Come support some of the best beer Oregon offers.

Lydia S.

Yelp
You have to try the Big Truck burger in the downstairs pub! It was excellent and in the top 5 best burgers we've ever had. Fish & Chips were not great...chewy fish. Loved the house-made tartar and seasoned fries.

Jon H.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of the breweries and the creativity that they put out on the West Coast. This place holds its own with the best of them. I always like to try their high octane, special beers and this one offer several. Taps rotate so I won't recommend a single beer here, just go there and try as many as you like! Also, the food is well prepared and creative, and most importantly very tasty. The atmosphere is open and comfortable, don't come here for upscale, but definitely come here for great food and drinks. It's all counter service for the ordering and they bring the food out to you, but the staff is friendly and professional, regardless.

Lex H.

Yelp
We ate upstairs in the pizza area of the building. We didn't wait long at all and the service was great. This is a staple in Astoria and the vibes/view at this location is just amazing. We got the Island Hopper and the Almighty. If you're looking for something sweet with a hint of savory and love pineapple on pizza I absolutely recommend the Island Hopper. On the other hand, if you enjoy a savory bite then the Almighty has a great selection of veggies and meat. We loved this place and see ourselves coming here again! Thank you to everyone and the staff

David V.

Yelp
Farmer looking waiter with red bandana acted way too busy to help my family get a table inside. He spent his time cussing about only being able to give 2 napkins to people instead. Never coming back.

Anita L.

Yelp
Food: pretty good spicy fried chicken, love the donut bun concept. I was expecting the donut to be sweet and glazed, nut it still worked. Chicken was perfectly fried with some nice spices. Not sure if they make their pickles in house, but it's tasty. I love the quality of the ingredients. Stiff mixed drinks as well lol. Service: a little bit of a wait, but not terrible especially since I wasn't the one waiting lol. You order the counter and they bring the food out. Ambiance: nice and spacious feeling, love the vibe!

Josh T.

Yelp
Excellent beer and nice atmosphere Not much else to say but need more characters for review

Yelp
We had a great time at the Fort George Brewery. We arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday, and it seemed busy but not packed. The service was quick and friendly. We were delighted with both the pizza and the salad, and both were packed with flavor and went great with our flight of beers. The cherry bomb pizza had a great toppings combo and a tasty crust.

Gaby B.

Yelp
Always worth a stop when I find myself in Astoria. Large brewery with indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly, great beers & yummy food.

Amy R.

Yelp
We adore the fish and chips here! It's nice sized pieces of tuna with a perfectly fried, crunchy beet batter. The fries are also good, but the fish is the star. It tastes fresh, not at all "fishy", and is perfectly cooked -not dry or mushy- and good size portions. The tartar sauce is good, but not necessary for me. We used to be able to order and eat upstairs, but no more. That was a change for the worse. It's pretty loud downstairs, and no view, but we ate in the back room (which was empty but kind of cold) and they offered to turn down the music very nice of them. We had their wheat beer which was good - but they don't have any orange slices which is disappointing! Love heff with orange! (No cole slaw, btw.) Yumm... until next visit to Astoria!

Brent D.

Yelp
I am always on the lookout for a Fort George Beer in and around my hometown. I was lucky enough to stumble across this brewery more than a decade ago on a motorcycle trip. I loved it then and I am happy to see they are still serving great beer and food in a really cool historic building. We came in for a quick snack and a pint. Lucky us, it was keep the glass day, so we took home a nice souvenir. Along with our beer, we had a bowl of the seafood , which was fantastic. I hope it doesn't take me another decade to get back!

Carrie B.

Yelp
We just came back the Fort George Brwery after coming here about a month ago. We really wanted pizza, but it wasn't open yet...the upstairs serves pizza, but it doesn't open until 4 in the weekdays. Today, we began downstairs with a couple of beers and ciders and our daughter enjoyed an amazing tasty cup of chowder! At 4 pm, we transitioned upstairs and orders another cider and beer. We also ordered a 16" Carnivore and a 12" Island Hopper--both were delicious! We had some skeptics, but they were won over in n the first bite! Finn River ciders are tasty and tart, and the beers our husbands had were citrusy and the sour one my husband had with dinner was one of his favorite! Our server was funny and attentive. N less to say, we didn't need any to-go boxes, and next time we are in the area, we will be back to try another pizza!

Cyndi C.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and dined downstairs this time! So cool to see the updates of the covered patio expansions from my last visit and same great beers! You order at the counter here and get a number so server can bring your order. The tideland porter was fantastic! We ordered chix and chips and oyster and chips. Both of our orders were generous portions, moist inside and tasty original breading crunch on the outside with homemade dipping sauces (no sauce left behind!) Love, Love Ft George. My hubby loves their vortex ipa. I will always stop here if in the area.

Julie E.

Yelp
Five star for beers and 3-4 stars on food. Staff is super friendly and love their patio. Balcony has great views of water. Lower level is best large area and puppy friendly. We love to stop here when we are in Astoria. Favorite local brewery with great dark beers.

Raeann P.

Yelp
Stopped through this spot today! 5 star vibes, I must say. They have done a fantastic job turning that building into a cool place to hang out. As for the food, it was good! Nothing crazy that I would say you must try, but it was good. We had the Anaheim Pepper Burger and Arugula salad. Overall though, it's a super cool spot, definitely a cool place to spend an afternoon. Looks like they have a good event space too!

Gigi M.

Yelp
This place was awesome! I got their chicken tenders and fries and was blown away by how tasty they were ! The breading on the chicken strips had so much flavor and great crunch. I really enjoyed the dipping sauce as well. For the beverage I got the mule and it was soooo crisp and yummy. The mule would've been out of this work if it had muddled mint though. The atmosphere was great. So many places to sit. It happened to be a gorgeous sunny day when I went so we chose to sit outside and listen to good music. The service was quick and all of the staff was incredibly friendly.

Yelp
Met some friends for lunch around 12:30 on a Sunday. It was a holiday weekend, so it was super busy in town and extremely hard to find parking. We ended up parking at the maritime museum and walking to the brewery. There are 3 separate areas in this brewery. The upstairs, which only serves pizza and beer. The downstairs pub, which has a nice variety of food items...burgers, fish and chips, chowder, salad, and sandwiches. The taproom is the third area. We opted for the downstairs pub. You order up at the counter, get a number, and they bring your food to you. Our table ordered the poutine, seafood chowder, rockfish sandwich, oysters and chips, and the albacore fish and chips. Everything was really good! The chowder had plenty of fish and a nice flavor and thickness. The rockfish sandwich was cooked perfectly... nice and crispy outside and soft and flaky inside. Their fries were seasoned perfectly and not greasy at all. The albacore fish and chips blew everyone away! We couldn't believe how tasty the fish was, and the tartar sauce was a delicious accompaniment. We were all impressed and happy with our food and beer choices. A few were disappointed they didn't have their 3-Way IPA on tap. Our only complaint would be the extremely long lines to order food/beers and use the restrooms. They have 2 unisex restrooms, and there was a line of at least 6-8 people at all times. The food/beer line was so long that people were lined up in the dining area, making it super awkward for customers already sitting and eating. Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The food and drinks were good. Staff was decent. The atmosphere was fun. The restaurant was clean. Would recommend.

Yelp
A friend recommended I try bowpicker for their fish & chips when I told her I'm going to visit Astoria on my way to Portland from Seattle. Got here and it was closed. Decided to try this pub down the street as it advertised it sells fish & chips! So I went in and the space is huge. Lots of table tops. And an open area when the weather is nice. I went up to the place where you order and was overwhelmed by the beer selection and the waiting cashier. So I was like, "how about you recommend your favorite beer?" The person just looked at me deadpan for like 15s and turned around and started pouring tasters. Look, I get it. No one likes that person that doesn't know what to get but come on there's all these unusual names of beers on the chalkboard that don't tell me what type of beer it is! I just want a Hefeweizen. To be fair, it could have been they didn't understand my request because they did have a puzzled expression on their face. Anyway, I tried two and got a pint of one. I think it's an IPA? It's pretty good. So I ordered the fish & chips as well. And I literally told someone yesterday that you can't really do fish and chips poorly. Apparently you can? I didn't think fried fish could be dry, but somehow these folks managed to do just that. The batter/crust was very good--light & crispy--but the fish underneath was clearly overcooked. It was super dry and not at all flavorful. I added some malt vinegar and smothered them in tartar sauce to make it palatable. The fries were ok. Nothing special. All in all, a pretty average experience. Maybe it was an off day, so YMMV. For me, 3 stars.

Susan H.

Yelp
Counter service is a disappointment. If I have to wait in line to order, pay and tip before I receive my food, bus my table, and wait in line for another beverage, it's just one step above fast food because they bring your food to your table. Service and food has declined over the years. Just not as good anymore. Used to be my favorite place in Astoria but now it's another restaurant to order at the counter that has good beer. Maybe adding an ordering app so you can order at your table would be an improvement over standing in line. ‍

Connie C.

Yelp
Amazing sunny Saturday. Great dog friendly patio! The burgers are hefty and Amazing! Loved the kimcheese burger and the creature feature. Great thick burger and thick bacon and cheese. Loved the dog friendly patio with plenty of picnic tables. Nothing like it on a sunny day. Oh and the beer! Yes got a flight tried the hold the pickle beer, topaz pumpkin ale, jump scare, and vanilla grain Wilson. Love it!

Brittany H.

Yelp
We came here back in August of 2023. My fiancé was showing me around Astoria as I hadn't really ever been. We stopped in to Fort George for a drink and an appetizer. I love that there are two options depending on what your in to food wise. We also choose to sit outside because of the view!! It was a tad misty out but SOOO worth it! The patio had awesome vibes. I was a tad disappointed that due to several large orders the cheesy bread would have taken 1.5 hours to come out which just didn't seem worth it to us. We decided to do the hummus plate and absolutely loved it!!! I got a beer and my other half did a mixed drink. Both were great. They had a good selection of beers and drinks. No matter what you like you would find something. Staff was also super friendly and kind. We walked due to where our hotel was located. I can see where parking could be a issue though so if you can walk I suggest it.

DAVID G S.

Yelp
Yay, it's a popular expansive joy fest, super friendly staff, open to non alcohol stuff... great fish and chips Really fun place to watch the beer awards

Scott P.

Yelp
Fantastic burgers. The bun is toasted the pickels are perfect the sauce is tangy the onions are good and the lettuce is crunchy. The fries are crispy and creamy on the inside and have a great seasoning. I highly recommend eating here.

Terrell W.

Yelp
Excellent experience and unbelievable delicious burger. Must Visit you will not be disappointed.

Brian B.

Yelp
This was our fourth stop in Astoria and the last brewery we made it to. This one is our favorite of the three visited. The vibe is super chill with the warmth of wood use in the tables and building itself. The beertenders are chill, friendly and welcoming. Now to the best part, their incredible brews! We had 4 incredible, dark beers. Each was unique, smooth, delicious and warmed my soul. My two favs were the vanilla and pumpkin.

Bobby B.

Yelp
I drove over 2.5hrs for this place!!!!! Once you have an experience here you'll never forget it. Great food at a decent price, friendly service, and AMAZING beer on tap! Soooo many different beer choices!!!!!

Loralee B.

Yelp
I love the vibe of Fort George and the beer selection. We tried three breweries while we were in town and this was my favorite. It was a beautiful day, so we took advantage of the outdoor seating and shared a flight to try a few different beers.

B R.

Yelp
One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Painted Hills beef, yum!! Great drinks and beer and their French fries were cooked to perfection. Plus they have non alcoholic hop water which was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will be back.

Sean P.

Yelp
Fort George is THE go-to restaurant in Astoria, OR. Situated in a former auto mechanic shop, the brewery and public house has a clean modern industrial vibe. Downstairs is dedicated to burgers and sandwiches while the upstairs is all about pizza. The Anaheim burger is smoky and delicious. The fries aren't the best I've ever had but they're a good compliment to the burgers. Overall, a great stop on your next visit to Astoria.

Isa B.

Yelp
A must when visiting Astoria. This place didn't disappoint, the decor is great, good selection of beers (wish they had fewer IPAs and more dark beers) and the food was delicious. We had a couple pints of the Fisher Poet Stout with a basket of Dirty Fries.

Rachelle R.

Yelp
I love brewery's. The atmosphere is warm, and so laid back. We enjoyed the upstairs pizzeria for dinner. To get there there is a fun inside winding staircase to the top. I recommend on weekends making a reservation through open table as they get very busy. Our waiter was SOOOO friendly and explained the different beers and hops very well to us. Their vegan pizza was so tasty. It had vegan pepperonis , mushrooms, and vegan mozzarella. We got the 16" and could not finish it because it was so much food. Their bathrooms are also super clean and painted like a Forrest. I appreciate having clean and put together restrooms in any restaurant so they get major bonus points for that.

Justine S.

Yelp
There are two restaurants, one is upstairs and only serves pizza and one is downstairs other foods including burgers, fries, salad, and a few other items. It is open seating and you order at the front counter. The line seemed to take a while but the food comes out pretty quick. There are tables, booths, and tall tables. Being 8 months pregnant, I have to admit, none of the seating was comfortable but we made due. I got the burger with cheese curds and my husband got the burger with Kimchee. We both liked our food. Our daughter got a kids burger and she said the patty was burnt and only Had a few bites. They have a good selection of beer. Overall would definitely recommend this place! Parking is street parking but there seems to be a lot!

RN R.

Yelp
Went on Saturday night between Oregon and Washington's spring break. Food came out quick, service is minimal here as you order at the counter but it is still good. Kids meals: great portions, our kids loved the fish and chips (can't rate for them but they enjoyed!) Wings: Great flavor, tangy kick, hot, not overly "fried" feeling, which I loved. Not on my "top wings ever" list but worth ordering if you like wings. (7/10) fries: great seasoning, hot, crispy outside, soft inside (8/10) Chicken Strips: great outside but the driest chicken we have had in a long time. Loved the honey mustard and slaw, those two things would make a great sandwhich. Chicken itself gets a 6/10

Joy P.

Yelp
great space, tons of room both inside and outside and out. beer galore, wine and cider plus kambucha! amazing burgers and fries but also great seafood, salad and side options. this is a great place to meet up with a group of people, go for a date, bring kids, etc. there's an upstairs which is 21+ only and also an adjacent taproom. it's centrally located in astoria and would make a nice stop if you're going north or south off the bridge between oregon and washington i can't think of a single bad thing to say about my experience! i'd come here again, no questions asked! the ambiance is very casual and relaxed and you're going to get excellent food and drink plus attentive service. what's not to love?

Cal H.

Yelp
Great spot to grab some solid grub and cold beer! The food surpassed exceptions and the tap list was extensive enough to please just about anyone. Friendly staff, tons of seating both upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Worth a stop for sure. -Armadillo Chicken Sandwich: 4/5, completely surpassed exceptions. Flavor was on point, and put together perfectly. Fries were great as well.

Michael H.

Yelp
Update: 2/24/23. It's been a while since we've frequented Fort George. But we recently made it upstairs where they crank out wood fired pizzas. Wow! Impressive. In fact, we've been back 2 or 3 times this year already. The pizza is cooked to perfection. The crust is just crisp enough, not overdone. And the toppings are really fresh. We usually split a Kid's Caesar Salad, which is plentiful. And we recently stumbled across a fabulous dessert at Fort George - the Cavatica Cheese Cake. Don't let the cheese cake part throw you - it's a cake. And a damn good one. Here's their official description: "Cavatica Filling on a Chocolate Cookie Crust and topped with Chocolate Ganache & Espresso Chocolate Creme. From Naked Lemon Bakery." It also helps that February is Stout Month, so Fort George has a 1/2 dozen or more stouts on tap upstairs. Awesome! In fact, Sherie even chose a flight of stouts the last two times we visited, rather than whatever Chardonnay they were pouring. Service can vary, but we've been lucky 2 of the last 3 times we were in. It's a great space upstairs, with a view of the Columbia from elevation. Make sure to check the hours - I don't think they open upstairs until 4 PM on weekdays.

Chris R.

Yelp
Delicious non alcoholic beer. Order at the counter and then food delivered to the table. Definitely funky Astoria vibe. Nice people and a huge selection of beers. Fort George City of Dreams is wife's favorite.

Mackenzie L.

Yelp
The spruce beer is absolutely incredible. The pizza is pretty damn good too- we also had the hummus plate and there was plenty of food!

Rachel M.

Yelp
Finally some really good dark beers!!! Amazing Barrel aged, Stouts and Porters! Service can't really be commended on because you wait in line to order and the host is somewhat helpful. They do NOT have a mandatory tip like Astoria Brewery. If you have to choose definitely come here instead you will definitely get more bang for your buck The food was ok not amazing but also not bad. The building and establishment is a very impressive and cool spot.

Dean L.

Yelp
This is a great place to hang out in a sunny afternoon. We had two really great ales, and the chicken sandwich is tops. The poutine was wanting, however. It was with a light gravy (mushroom?). We found it edible, but bland. The fries by themselves, which came with the chicken sandwich, were pretty darn good. Service was solid, and the bill came to normal expensive. At 11:30 on a weekday we parked right out front on the street and had our pick of tables. By 12:30, the place was pretty full.

Allison H.

Yelp
Good pub food, fun & relaxed atmosphere. At the little entry is a spiral staircase leading to a great rustic pizza oven and dining area. The staircase was salvaged from the Astor Column when it was renovated. Oh, and good beer!

Shauna F.

Yelp
This is pretty much my go-to when I go to Astoria. Great food and service. Been multiple times... But today I had the fish and chips today and pretty sure it's the best fish and chips I've ever had... Thick cuts of albacore tuna.

Nicole P.

Yelp
When you walk in there are menus available and then you order at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious! The ambience is very brewery but upscale, not somewhere fancy but could be a great date spot or a great night out to dinner with friends and family. Kid friendly! We only ate downstairs so I can't speak to the taste of the pizza but I will say it smelled amazing! We ordered the poutine fries to share, the special of the day which was loaded potato soup, a Caesar Salad with added grilled chicken, and the basque cheesecake with quince jam.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
There beer gets 5 stars but the food was meh, realistically probably 3.5 overall but I'm rounding down. I came here a few months before Covid and everything was great. The burger patty was about 1/3 thick and was definitely shaped and tasted like it was a frozen patty. It didn't do the rest of the elements on the burger any justice. Something must have changed because a few years ago the burgers were amazing. The cheesecake was good though, enough that I didn't get a picture! The space is large and laid out well, interesting concept with two different menus depending if you sit downstairs or upstairs. And they are strict about only ordering food from whatever floor your sitting on. I heard one of the upstairs employees getting I trouble for letting someone take pizza downstairs.

Timothy D.

Yelp
Well I was told this is a great place . I had to check it out for myself . I am impressed the feeling is warm and welcoming with nice servers and quick delivery of your order . Tonight I had he mac and cheese . It was good but not as filling as I thought . So I tried a piece of my wife's burger OMG it was definitely delicious and had fresh vegetables. It was just and flavorful. I am gonna give them 5 stars . Everyone was so nice and the art was warm and welcoming. Hey check them out in Sherwood.

Vi T.

Yelp
My friends and I couldn't unanimously agree on a place that had both beer and raw oysters, so we decided on Fort George, even though *sigh* they don't serve raw oysters. We shared an order of fish of chips and I had a cup of seafood chowder along with the obligatory beers. The fish was fresh, crisp, and delicious, but a bit dense since it was albacore tuna rather than the traditional flaky white fish (FYI, they only serve tuna). We upgraded the fries to Dirty Fries; they were topped with pork belly, gorgonzola, sweet peppers, and a chipotle mayo. Tasty! ... but nothing mind-blowing. I did appreciate the use of thick-ish pieces of pork belly rather than chopped bacon. The star of the visit was the seafood chowder which was choc full of clams, shrimp, albacore tuna, and bacon. Highly satisfying and I would suggest this to any seafood lover. I wish I had gotten a bowl instead of a cup! Last but not least, the beer was... welp, awesomely alcoholic. Still bummed that they didn't have raw oysters, though. Hopefully they add them to their menu. I can't be the only one that would LOVE this.
