I had an amazing time visiting Fort Point Beer Company for a BBQ party, where we also got a behind-the-scenes look at their brewery. The location is truly special—tucked away in the Presidio with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, which looked stunning with the fog rolling in, adding to the vibe. It's a bit out of the way but absolutely worth the visit!
As for the beer, it was top-notch. We enjoyed a selection that included their KSA Kölsch, which was light, crisp, and easy to drink, perfect for a sunny BBQ. Another standout was the Villager IPA, a San Francisco-style IPA with a refreshing balance of hops and tropical fruit flavors. For something more unique, the Westfalia, a Nuremberg-inspired red ale, offered a smooth, malty profile that paired well with the BBQ fare.
Overall, Fort Point combines great beer with a stunning location, making it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors looking to experience San Francisco’s craft beer scene.
