How Panther City BBQ Innovates While Keeping Old School Barbecue Alive | Eater

"After purchasing a longtime Fort Worth barbecue institution that had operated since 1931, the team reopened and newly renamed the space to preserve its history and the city's old‑school barbecue style. The concept focuses on the classic Fort Worth flavors the original spot was known for, offering an old‑school menu and keeping prices lower than typical craft‑barbecue joints (though not at 1931 levels). It serves to maintain traditional regional barbecue alongside the team's craft barbecue operation." - Annie Harrigan

A hidden red building gem among the tall buildings. The smoky bbq fills the air around the area to make your mouth water. !Baileys special. A well valued special. A brisket or pulled pork sandwich with a side and a drink. !baked potato. Big ol potato with 1/2 of meat. Can’t beat. Fyi. Very small dining area. You may wait slightly because of the line but they are quick. Cash discounts

I walked out of the Government building across the street and could smell the smoke. I had no idea they were there (not from the area) and walked in to check it out. I picked up 7 sandwiches (one of each) for the guys at work that was probably on of the best moves i could make. The BBQ was awsome, with a healthy dose of smoke while not being "over smoked". The turkey was still juicy and not at all dry and the sausage sandwiches were excellent. I selected the sliced brisket over the chopped, and it was also excellent. Over all a great BBQ joint.

Classic joynt with an excellent brisket. The Monday special is awesome. My recommendation, stick with the regular BBQ sauce and add on jalapenos.

The best bbq I’ve had since I’ve been out here. I got the pulled pork with Mac n cheese and pinto beans. The sandwich was perfect & lean, I loved the sauce, Mac n cheese was yummy and the pinto beans were the best I’ve ever had. It really hit the spot.

Went today, got 1/2 pound of brisket. Dekel fat should never be served. Won't be back. This is the fat I trimmed off.
