I'd rate this as one of the best botanic gardens I've been to, if only for how fantastic the Japanese Garden is by itself. The rest of the garden is lovely as well. The rose garden is small but nice. There's a great viewpoint with the pond and curated garden, and they had decorations for Dia de los Muertos. But the Japanese Garden is the best one I've ever been to across the US. The layout is perfect; the paths are angled and hidden so that even when there are other people around, you can find a quiet corner of solitude. There are huge koi fish in the pond you can sit and watch. I was blown away by how beautiful it all was. If I lived here I would definitely become a member.

A great place to go when you have a family gathering and you want to do some special activities outdoors or just pack a lunch and go sit on the nice big lawn and watch all the beautiful insects go by sometimes butterflies but definitely fall is not the best place here unless you like the Christmas lights for the Christmas light show. I use the gardens when they were in full bloom for weddings in June and I've attached one that I did long time ago but it gives you an idea just how pretty the place is when it's full of color.

We love this place! It’s our favorite place to go on family walks. Right now they have the musical swings which are fun for any age! I love how we can feed the giant fishes and see all the gorgeous plants. Every time we come there is something new to see! This time of year beware you might see some creepy crawlers. Perfect for Halloween! 🕷️🕸️

We went to Christmas in the Garden tonight and it was magical! I am ready to start decorating now! Perfect for kids and adults alike. Be sure to order the fried cheese and the sliders at the food truck area in the middle of the walk. Really delicious and fresh. Buy your tickets (including parking) in advance, and arrive about 15 minutes early. Parking: traffic was slow but well-guided, and took about 10 minutes.

Absolutely beautiful and refreshing gardens. We went while they had the musical swings, which were so fun! They’re taking them out December 7th, so definitely visit before! I visited around 9AM-11AM on Sunday, perfect time to go. Not too hot outside/in the conservatory and not too many people/no crowds

This is a wonderful place to visit—perfect for studying, enjoying a peaceful walk, spending time with friends and family, or simply unwinding in nature. The area is beautiful, tranquil, and filled with scenic views. If you get thirsty or a bit hungry, there’s a small spot nearby where you can grab a quick bite. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, and the walking trails offer a great way to explore the surroundings. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature in a serene setting.

This is a fantastic garden and is one of the oldest in the entire state! You can explore over 20 themed spaces across 100+ acres. There are native plants and exotic plants that have been selected to thrive in the central Texas climate.
