Forte Pizzeria

Forte pizzeria is always a great stop for quality Italian food in North Jersey. Their garlic bread with mozzarella is delicious and worth the bang for your buck. The Chicken Murphy with hot peppers was great, and a plentiful portion.

The pizza is DELICIOUS!! We like it thin and crispy and we get it that way EVERY Time!!! We have recently been dining in their restaurant for dinner. We haven't been disappointed yet!!! If you go for lunch you don't really need a reset, but if you're a larger group I suggest it. Dinner in the dining room you should always make a reservation. Their prices are reasonable. They have a few party rooms available and are usually busy. I suggest everyone try it I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We hosted my daughter’s bridal party at Forte Restaurant and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the planning stages to the final toast, the staff was unbelievably accommodating and professional. They even allowed us to come in three hours early to decorate the private space, which made such a difference and let us add a personal touch to the celebration. The service was top-notch—attentive without ever being intrusive—and every staff member went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavor, from start to finish. The private room was intimate, elegant, and perfect for such a special occasion. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything looked and how delicious the food was. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make this day so special for our daughter. Highly, highly recommend for any special event!

I love forte pizza but when I just tried to order a pizza with only 1/4 of it sausage and the rest plain i was suddenly put on hold and then they told me they couldn't do that. Why, I asked and they told me they were busy. It wouldn't take any longer to make that pizza than any other pizza. Told them to forget it, called another pizzeria and had no problem ordering. Goodbye forte!

Made reservations 5 days in advanced for a group of 4 for a Saturday at 7pm. The hostess didn't even acknowledge me when I was trying to give her my name to tell her my party was there. This isn't the first time it seems they either overbook or don't pay attention to reservations. Don't even bother making a reservation since they don't follow them. After waiting 50mins we ended up sitting down by the pizza counter. Maybe they should have the "upper area for reservation only and the pizza counter tables for walk ins. Seems poorly run. Not sure how many "free appetizers" they had to give out to all the angry customers.

First off, the food is good. Some of the dishes are average Italian and others are better. The service in my opinion could be better. They seem very overwhelmed a lot. They’ve gotten orders wrong when we’ve had delivery and we’ve also had food catered on a few occasions. Recently had a table of 15 there. We had 1 waitress and total time in and out was 3 hours. To me that’s a little excessive considering we brought our own dessert. I had the clams in linguini , it could have used more linguini I felt like I was eating a bowl of clams. Pasta is cheap and it sure wasn’t handmade , they could have filled the bowl. Pizza is average in my opinion, and food is inconsistent , but everyone enjoyed and had a good time.

I wish I could give zero stars. And coming from a long term customer. Yuck! Dry chicken with absolutely no flavor, waste of money. It almost tasted old or rotten too. Even their grandma pie slice which was fresh out of the oven was dry and tasted like nothing. The Asian wings, seafood salad and pasta bolognese were good although the bolognese pretty dry. We always love this place so disappointed in the chicken for sure. Maybe take the things you aren’t good at off the menu and focus on the what you’re good at. Honestly after this I don’t think I’d even go back for anything I sort of used to enjoy just because of how gross my chicken dinner was. Good luck!

Food is good. However, prices are getting too high. The zuppa di pece is $44? Why? It's not even a real lobster tail in it. Not worth it

We got take out so can't speak to service but our order was ready when they says Everything was hot and fresh with good portions We ordered a lot of food so pleased they got everything right If you live in the area I would say it's good spot to eat

Tasty evening at Forte this past Saturday. Complimentary bruschetta was especially good given the ripe tomatoes. Clams, long hots and calamari were all enjoyable apps. Swordfish, short ribs and veal, all very good entrees. The service was efficient and super friendly. But our server was working a bit too hard (busy night) and inadvertently things came across as rushed. He wasn't rushing us to eat; just that his hustle, while appreciated, made us a bit anxious. Atmosphere was just ok. Tables are tight. Room fairly small. And, unfortunately, they had two huge tables, both 10+. So, made the room very loud. Will definitely go back but will probably try and avoid Saturday nights.

Came here tonight for a retirement party. I had a great time. Everything was delicious. We had bread service and Bruschetta as appetizers. The Bruschetta was really fresh and tasty. Then we had salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Then the waiters brought the highlight of the night in my opinion...penne vodka in a bread bowl. It was so good! The penne was al dente, sauce was excellent, and the bread made out of pizza dough was so good. I have never seen anything like this. For the main course I took the chicken Francese. It was very tasty. I wished the chicken breasts were a little bit thicker and bigger. But overall it was excellent. I may come back to have dinner after this experience.

I've stopped at Forte many times over the years for pizza, but last night was only the 2nd time we've dined in the restaurant area. The experience was great! The food at Forte is always very good and the service was excellent. I had the Gnocchi Alfredo and my wife had Veal Piccata. We both enjoyed the meals as well as the NY cheesecake we split after. This BYOB is convenient and reasonably priced. Fun dinner!

Took us a very long time to go to this place and I'm glad we finally made it! They have two ambiances, one more casual - perfect for families with small kids, and a more intimate atmosphere too. They have a wide variety of by the slice pizza flavor, which is perfect when you want to try new flavors. During summer, we sat outside, which was great too. Highly recommend!

Out-of-This-World Meatball Parm! The meatball parm sandwich is out of this world--huge, flavorful meatballs and a generous amount of melty cheese make it a must-try. It would be even better with a side of sauce, and the best part is if you ask for one, they'll give it to you with no extra charge. The pizza is also excellent--definitely worth coming back for!

We had our daughter's baby shower at Forte in Randolph yesterday afternoon for 60 people. The food was delicious and the service impeccable! Everyone complimented how great the shower was. I cannot say enough! We highly recommend this restaurant for dinner as well as for special events! They went above and beyond to make us happy!! Thank you! Thank you!

The pizza here is unreal! I think this is one of the best plain slices that I've had in recent memory. Perfectly thin and cheesy... perfection! I also tried pepperoni and chicken parm slices and garlic knots. We loved everything. This is a super kid friendly place and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had highchairs, tops for cups, etc. They even clear your table when you are done if you sit in the pizzeria section. Top notch service! There is also a large dining area where you'll find all of the classic Italian restaurant dishes. I'm not in this area often, but can definitely see myself coming back for the pizza!

The food is always delicious! Good sized portions always allow me to bring home food for another meal. So many choices...all delicious! Although on a budget, I try to treat myself to dinner twice a month here.

I visited Forte in Randolph today for the first time. I had reservations for a party of 7 which was for a quarterly cousins dinner. Two of my cousins had been prior and recommended Forte. I have to say that the food was outstanding! They were very busy as we were there at lunch 1:30pm. Our waiter Miguel went above and beyond! He was running everywhere as they were so busy. I never felt neglected. Food was great and Miguel was great! We rewarded him nicely! Thank you Miguel!!

My husband and I used to go here and I thought the food was good. I found a large bug in my food and that wasn't the best but it happens so whatever. We told the waiter and his response was oh we will cover your dessert. I'm not sure if I am being snobby but I would expect them to do a little more for a guest who gets more protein in their food than expected. At the time I wasn't really into sweets and didn't really want to try more food on the menu so we left and never went back. If this didn't happen we would still go there but it just gave us a bad taste in our mouths. (No pun intended )

Tried the Chicken Savoy pizza today. It had a very good Yelp review about a month ago. It was disappointing as there was too much balsamic on it! I think it would have been good with less balsamic, but it was sour and runny.

Forte is consistently great and our go to for Pizza / Italian food. We order takeout 3-4 times a month - our favorites are the grandma square pie, thin plain pie, and some of their speciality pies (buffalo chicken, chicken bacon ranch). The pasta fagioli soup is also a go to, it's so flavorful and hearty! The cold & hot sandwiches are also delicious. My husband loves the cheesesteak with added cherry peppers. I love the prosciutto with arugula sandwich. We've done catering as well, and all of our guests said the food was delicious. Everything was packed extremely well and thoughtfully (extra vodka sauce for the pasta, extra francese sauce for the chicken, grated parm, serving spoons, etc.) Prices are fair for the quality and quantity that you get.

My husband and I decided to give this pizzeria a place a try . We are both very happy that we decided to come here the pizza is very delicious. I honestly went back for thirds, which I usually never do. The only thing is when we order the chicken bacon ranch, it comes as a nj style vs. a NY style without the Marina sauce that was Mt only negative about it. Other than that, everything was great, and we both enjoyed it a lot. Inside of the restaurant was very beautiful decorated for Christmas time and I honestly loved all the nice friendly vibes.

It was our first visit to Forte so we weren't sure what to expect from a pizzeria & restaurant. It was a a Saturday night and had a packed house. We had a short wait for our table - it was worth it. The food was excellent . I had shrimp scampi. My partner had the chicken (on the bone) cacciatore . Both were excellent. Staff and service were pleasant and attentive. I am very much looking forward to eating at Forte again.

Absolutely love this place! Their eggplant sandwich has become my lunch go-to because of how tasty it is. Their menu is super extensive and I'm looking forward to trying more :)

My friend ordered a chicken francese pie yesterday evening via Uber and she picked it up. Since she ate from this establishment, she's been experiencing food poisoning symptoms due to mishandling on their end. Those symptoms included sweating profusely; multiple rounds of diarrhea; intense cramps in her abdomen, fatigue; dizziness; and nausea all at once. I attempted to inform the staff today via phone and was completely gaslit by their manager. He honestly didn't seem to care whatsoever and continued to deflect by placing the blame onto my friend. In addition, his tone was condescending and continued to question my intelligence. This poor experience was beyond upsetting and due to their poor food safety, I strongly believe no one should support this establishment whatsoever. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I ordered from this place all during Covid and even afterwards, periodically. A few of the dinners we had were ok but only a select few, and although I had the pizza a few times going back, it was never a favorite of ours since we prefer thin crust NO flop, NJ, NYC, & even New Haven style thin crust pizza. I decided to give them a try again but was very disappointed in the pizza I had, which was touted as a thin crust , crispy pizza, ironically, named after my first name, "The Eddie Pizza" w/sausage & pepperoni. I specifically told the girl when ordering, make sure it's WELL DONE & THIN, as pretty much described on their menu, I might add. When our order came, I opened the box it looked well done but it was very FLOPPY, OILY, and they destroyed the pizza even more by putting thick chunks of tomato sauce on the TOP of the pizza, no less! What a disappointment & waste of money. I felt compelled to call and tell the owners and tell them the pizza was horrible but my wife talked me out of it. This place has 3 locations in all well to do areas but the pizza still sucks. Who in their right minds puts clumps of plum, or even crushed tomatoes, on TOP of the pizza cheese, instead of the bottom on the pizza dough?? I probably will not order from them again, especially, the pizza!! Additionally, they are a bit pricey and the majority of the food we had there was/is definitely not worth the higher prices. This place would never make Dave Portnoy's pizza review list, that's for sure. Just being honest. What's sad, is we gave this place a ton of business!! Never again. Eddie S. Wharton NJ

Food poisoning AND awful customer service- a winning combo. Just had an order of their hot antipasto salad from Forte's Randolph, NJ location. It arrived by Door Dash delivery, still hot. There is a lot of seafood in it. It seemed OK, but as I was finishing the last few bites, I suddenly became very nauseous, and immediately vomited back up the entire dish. (I had been feeling perfectly fine before eating this meal.) Called Forte to let them know there was a problem. Got a young woman, who perfunctorily apologized. Told her we believed that one of the ingredients was probably bad. (Bad clams? Who knows...) Suggested that they should figure out what was tainted, so they could stop serving it. Also asked to be comped for the bad food. She said she would tell the manager, and without taking our names or any other information, she hung up. We were a bit dismayed. It was bad enough that the food made me sick, but they added insult to injury with insincere lip service, by not even acknowledging our request, and then hanging up on us. We called back and insisted on speaking with the manager. Again, we let him know that I became quite ill after eating their food, and explained that one of their ingredients may pose a health risk. He reflexively insisted their antipasto is fine, and actually had the gall to blame Door Dash ("We don't know what they do to your food after they leave here.") He then started yelling in unintelligible 'English' (very heavy Italian accent), so loudly and without pause that I could not even get a word in edgewise. The sad part is that based on his incredibly rude and unprofessional response, I would bet money that they continued serving whatever made me sick to other unsuspecting people. Come Monday, I will be calling in a complaint to the town Board of Health. Looking back through other reviews, and this is not the first complaint of tainted food giving people food poisoning. It should go without saying that I definitely would not recommend this restaurant, and have no interest in ever eating their food again.

Good food , better half usually only likes her homemade sauce but loved the ravioli. And I loved the manacotti, never had pasta sleeves so thin (cutting carbs) and delicious.

My clients picked this restaurant to get lunch. The order was called in. I ordered the clam linguini with red sauce. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked into a pizzeria. I told them my number and the food was just about done. I paid and left when it was. When I got to my destination, I noticed the clam pasta had wine sauce instead of red but it was too late to change. I dug in, and I wasn't too fond of the wine sauce. I ate it but would have preferred the red sauce. All in all I had an ok experience.

Had reservations and we didn't sit down till 30 min after the reservation. Food was mediocre at best.. Sad to say never going to that place again..

We stopped in on a busy Saturday night for a quick bite. We ended up ordering some appetizers soup and the chicken roller special. To say it was delicious would be an understatement. The food is amazingly tasty while season and plenty of portion to satisfy any appetite. The staff is always friendly willing to help and the price is definitely spot on . Overall we had a great time and some great food..

Recently enjoyed an event here and wanted to go back for dinner off the regular menu. My wife and daughter both decided to go here for their birthday dinners. Food was excellent: great chicken Saltimbocca, chicken Giambotta, and the pasta in vodka sauce is delicious. And excellent service at a good price. Our new favorite restaurant!

This place was bustling on a Friday night. I ordered online and didn't have to wait too long during pick up. We got a regular pie and grandma. The grandma is a bit thicker than I would like but it tasted great. This is among my top 5 pizza places in the area.

Ordered earlier this year and an extremely rude man with a thick accent picked up the phone, sounded extremely bothered of all the food I was ordering. I add to my order two pizza pies, and he sends two slices, I tell him he sent me slices instead of pies and he tells me I said the word slices and should learn how to ask for pizza. My family really enjoys the food and if it wasn't for them I would never order from here again because of this guy. Fast forward to today, same rude man picks up, I tell him my order and make specific instructions because this food is for my 99 year old grandma who cannot chew well, he tells me "don't you know this is an italian restaurant" when i ask for my requests. Everytime I would add another item you could hear the frustration in his voice. Not sure but I thought restaurants want to make money. I place my order and surprise surprise, he completely forgets the pizza yet again after charging me for the entire pie along with my appetizer order. If you hate what you do then quit your job but id you decide to stay, the least you can do is learn to not be so miserable and treat your customers with respect. Such a shame they have someone so miserable working causing me to never want to order from there again, you'd think they'd be happy I placed a $200 order and want to get it right instead of being so nasty towards their customers over the phone and messing up the order on top of everything.

Forte's our go to place when we don't feel like cooking. It's a 2 sided restaurant- casual on one side and a little fancier on the other. It's a BYOB. The service has never disappointed so far. The servers are always so nice and usually give a free bruschetta appetizer. The portions are a good size - I usually have left overs.

Chicken Savoy! It's a fantastic dish that you won't find in most restaurants. Based on their popularity, much of their food is satisfying. But I love and always order the Chicken Savoy.

Wife and I ordered delivery. Sub roll was rock hard to the point it was inedible. Cheesesteak eggrolls were burnt and essentially inedible/tasteless. My wife's salad was a bag of arugula dumped into a bowl, supposed to be berry salad but instead they added olives and tomatoes? Safe to say we will never be ordering from here again! Steer clear!

Forte is tried and true. The pizza is delicious. Lunch was a chicken francese pie. We ordered over the phone and 25 minutes later...poof... there it was in all its glory. We have a sit down dinner in the upper tier of the dining room which is slightly more upscale than the lower dining room. The upstairs still does not serve slices so parents with children who are craving pizza beware. The entrees are decently prized and are of a large portion. Check it out. You won't be disappointed!

The service was great, the ambiance was cute and the food for the most part was delicious. I just wish they'd allow us to order large pies at the dining room.

This place is absolutely amazing from the staff to the food!!! We truly have never had a bad meal here, from every day pizza to the daily specials! Not only us but every guest we have ever brought there for dinner we're always impressed with the quality of the food! Plus it's BYOB This is our top restaurants in the Randolph Area! If you want great food and friendly atmosphere this is your place!!!

Had delivery with friends yesterday. Was so delish. Had the chicken piccata for main and calamari as apple. Chicken so delish & tender as was the calamari. Bread provided with meal was fresh & so tasty. Just wish they were closer to my home- but very worth the 20-30 minutes it would take to get there. Can't attest to the pizza but it looked good

We order often from Forte. And it becomes increasingly disappointing. My husband always gets a hamburger. And we always request. Well done. Today's hamburger was practically raw. I on the other hand experiment. And I have to say I'm always disappointed. Today I had sausage and peppers which mine are so much better. But sometimes, I want somebody else to cook.

A couple weeks ago my wife and her former co-workers (and spouses) decided to meet up at Forte for a fun night out. Luckily we had reservations because the place was packed. We were seated in the back next to a huge birthday party, but we didn't care. We all busted out our wine and made a night of it. We started off with some appetizers - two Caprese salads, two plates of calamari, and most of us also started with a salad. It was all excellent-I LOVED the calamari. I didn't keep track of everyone's meals but Wifey had the capellini with grilled shrimp and broccoli rabe and I had the short rib special they offered that night- basically a short rib stew with mashed potatoes. A couple of the guys had steaks, the person next to me had pasta and sausage and broccoli rabe, there were a couple nice pasta dishes, a Sea Bass meal (giant portion), veal saltimbocca, and at least one Chicken Francese. If I was dedicated I would have turned my dInner into two meals, but I had no willpower- I hammered it. I had no idea the food here at Forte was this good. We'll be back soon.

Got delivery. Great timing. Was a bit disappointed. I got pasta that was so salty it was like the chef accidentally spilled salt into my sauce. I love salt. Normally I ADD salt to my food after I get it but this? Nope. Overwhelming. Horrible. My broccoli tasted good but it was like a soup. Did they just boil it in the microwave with water inside the container? I think that's likely. For the money spent I wouldn't do a repeat

It's been about an hour still haven't gotten my food way too cramped some people have come in ordered and left before us appetizers aren't even here yet not very comfortable at all Not sigma enough

This place consistently serves excellent food; especially the seafood, provides large portions, salads with all specials, & knowledgeable servers. We enjoy sitting in the upstairs dining room instead of the casual area although the casual area is great for getting pizza which is great! Where they fall short is on holidays & outside dining. On holidays, they do not want to work there and it shows and forget dining outside - you will be sitting a very long time before you get service. All in all, a decent italian place.

Best pizza, period. Spent 1/2 of my 70 years in Brooklyn and have eaten pizza all over Brooklyn and the City so I know pizza. And like many, love pizza. These guys are expensive but so what, you want very good pizza then this is the place to go. Nothing close around here. Dinner menu, also too expensive but good. I won't pay those prices unless forced to in NYC and other places, however, at least the food is good. Still not worth it. But the darn pizza is worth it! One note- when ordering for pick up, do NOT believe their time estimates. I arrive on time but have kept waiting there for upwards of THIRTY minutes. So much wasted time that they gave me, literally, a free pie. Still not worth the wait. Additionally, have had friends whose delivery and pick up orders were screwed up, missing items or wrong items. When it happens once it is a one off, however, when one hears about such things numerous times it is systematic. So be mindful of this.

We dined at a table for two and our experience was wonderful from the moment we sat down. Service was impeccable. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer, scallopini, and basil risotto. The food was amazing and the portions were very healthy. The ambience was quaint yet, elegant. Bravo.

This was my first time here. The food and service were excellent! The dining room is very nice. I know restaurants well, and this one runs very smoothly. I would absolutely recommend it. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because it was hard to have a conversation with my friend. It was quite noisy, although it was Saturday night. However, I was surprised because it was only 6:00. If you go during the week, you will probably have a five-star experience. I will definitely eat there again.

Good Italian place. Service good and friendly. The dishes seemed tasty. I had the shrimp scampi over capellini. It was a good dish but the scampi was more lemon than a butter garlic taste. Too overpowering with lemon. I like the fact they cleaned the shrimp including the tails. The other dishes were good . The calamari was tasty as well. I have the orange sorbet that was refreshing and came in an actual orange. I would come back and try other dishes.

Our business partner highly recommended and booked Forte Restaurant for one of our yearly partner holiday dinners. We were busting his chops for a week saying.. "What?!?!?... you want us to have dinner in a pizzeria?" BOY, WERE WE WRONG! Yes, it's a pizzeria and btw couldn't believe the amount of pizza pies that were leaving this place. Will be tasting the pizza next time around. As you walk in, to the right, is the more formal dining area and behind/next to that room is another for private events and over fill seating. Locals must love this place because it was packed. Friday evening and there wasn't an available table for hours. Definitely recommend making reservations. We were all very impressed with their food and service. Everything was on point and tasted delicious. Check out the pics of what we ate and drank. Everything tasted even better than it looks. Forte is our go-to-place for delicious pizza, and they have a small restaurant upstairs. That is what I'm reviewing. The menu is robust and the Pasta e Fagioli soup is outstanding--highly recommend. The size of the dishes is more than adequate and you may end up taking some home. I had a veal dish that was cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our server was Vinnie and there were 4 of us their. The room is small and quite warm; I would caution against wearing a sweater and this is an individual preference. It may be fine for you. When we arrived we were greeted by a rather joyless man who sort of ushered us into a small room to the side to wait for our table. We were not there long. This was our first staff contact and therefore first impression. As I said, the food was excellent, when we got it. It took over an hour. People who came in after us got and finished their meals and left before our meal was served. I don't know why. After an hour, I quite clearly stuck my head up and was looking for Vinnie, who caught my eye. He came over and said the food would be out any minute. It arrived 15 minutes later. So, 75 minutes total wait time for the entrees. Summary, the food was very good (we have eaten there before but usually take out), and the wait quite long. I think next time we may just take out.

It was my first time here and everything was great. One side is a restaurant the other side is more casual.Great food and service it's byob and they add a service charge for credit card fees. I will definitely return to support this restaurant.

We usually have a great experience here. Tonight was off. Called for a reservation and told them it was a big anniversary for us. We arrived on time and they seemed surprised, no table for 5 set. We ended up in the corner by the hostess. She proceeded to talk on her phone right behind us for a good portion of our meal. Service was off. Sad but I think I'll think twice before going back.

Ordered a special grandpa round tea cup pepperoni pizza $23.49!! For a pizza. It didn't look anything like the one on the counter!!! Salad had three pieces of lettuce. Only $5 so no big deal. Pizza was good but they won't be getting my hard earned money for a pizza any time soon!
