This full service restaurant with a lively bar has become a neighborhood favorite. They have happy hour on weekdays from 4pm-8pm. Tuesday is the best day to come because they have a special priced meal that’s a great bargain. The spaghetti and meatballs is a favorite of ours as is the sirloin steak. It’s has a warm, inviting atmosphere and great service!

Absolutely wonderful experience!! We dined there tonight for our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday. From the moment we arrived it was a pleasant experience. The hostess opened the door and greeted us. Our server was delightful and even had the staff sign cards for us! The manager came by twice to check on us. The Fortuna oysters were the best we’ve ever eaten! The bread and salad were delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare with a nice sear. And the cheesecake…AMAZING!! 10/10

Google
New chef is fantastic! She has taken this restaurant from a B to an A restaurant. Food is delicious and the presentation has definitely improved. The staff has always been great and that has not changed. Definitely putting in the rotation. So glad they no longer have live music.

Google
Great food! Really pleasant and helpful staff; they're great at recommendations. My waitress recommended trying bang bang shrimp on the mushroom alfredo. It's not setup on the menu that way but it was worth the extra price - delicious. Hostess was really nice as well as well as any of the other staff I met. Friendly atmosphere, tastey food, and good drinks. I'd recommend coming here, you won't regret it.

Fortunato Italian Steakhouse is a true gem! The delicious lasagna and panna cotta are absolute must-tries. With decent prices and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, it's a delightful experience. Our waiter, Keagan, made it even better with his fantastic service! 👍🏻 💯

Google
First time at this restaurant. The food was not cooked properly. Shrimp was raw veal was raw and hard to cut with the knife they give you. They took the shrimp dinner back and brought the same dish and said it was new but the shrimp was cut before they took it back and lied and said the chef said he made a new one . They did take it off the bill. We left hungry. Happy New Year to us.

Google
We had a 6:00 reservation for 6 people and dinner did not come out until 8:00! There were excuses that they were short staffed (not our problem!). Told bread was coming, and it took at least 40 minutes! One of our party ordered a ribeye. Was told after the fact that they ran out. She then ordered a different steak. The waitress came back and said they had a ribeye…WTH! Steak was overcooked. Sides were not even warm, and needed to be warmed up. Was offered complimentary dessert, that none of us wanted. Waitress tried, but experience was less than desirable. We will not be back!

First time visiting and our server David was excellent. He was very attentive and made very good recommendations. I wish I had taken more pictures as all courses were expertly prepared, nicely presented, and well cooked. We started with formaggio fritto and salmon special appetizer. We also had the filet, ribeye, and steak manicotti as entrees with fries, alfredo pasta, and mushroom risotto sides. We also tried the basque cheesecake, which was so light and fluffy. We look forward to a return visit.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, very well executed entree selection. Service can be hit or miss depending upon day and time.

Yelp
There was a maggot in my food!!!! I feel like I shouldn't have to say more on why you shouldn't eat here. The manager did give us a discount and did not charge us for the salad that had the maggot in it. Overall they seemed rude about giving us any discount. We were quiet about finding the maggot, but I really wanted to shout it to the whole restaurant. That was so disgusting! Everyone at the table was grossed out about it and wanted to leave but unfortunately due to time of night and because I was with other people we still ended up eating the rest of the meal. I barely touched my food since I was internally freaking out. Food really wasn't that good could have been because of the experience. How do you come back from a maggot crawling across the table. We all checked our food to make sure no bugs were crawling around before eating. I had to ask the waitress to clean the table before giving us new silverware. I really hope I didn't eat a maggot but when there is one it usually means more. Overall it was a bad experience. The waitress was worried that the management would take it out on her because we asked for something to be done about our bill given the maggot. I thought that was kind of weird since the maggot wasn't her fault. Now I am just praying I didn't eat one and that I don't get sick. Be careful when eating here and check your food for maggots!

Yelp
Went for our anniversary expecting a great steak. Disappointed. Bread and brussel sprouts were good

Deborah R.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We were sat right away and service was great. I would consider this fine dining without the fussiness. I will be returning to try some of the other things on the menu!

Yelp
A great first meal in Nashville. I love an Italian steakhouse and this meal was no different. I could have swam in the sauce that came with the burrata app and the chicken parm was the biggest I've ever seen. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Yelp
The chef is amazing!!! You have to try the cheesecake!! The ambience is really good considering they turned in old chain restaurant into a beautiful laid-back restaurant!

Yelp
We were greeted right away by the hostess opening the front door for us. Service was beyond outstanding from the hostess to the bartender to the servers. Thank you, Rianna from all of us. The shrimp cocktail and the Fromaggio Fritto were excellent appetizers, full of flavor! We happen to be there on Wednesday night, where the special pricing for fillets was excellent. Three ofof us had the fillets which were cooked to perfection. The server wouldn't leave until we had cut into our filets and approved the temperature. The lasagna was full of flavor and an abundance of cheese! Side dishes were crispy Brussels sprouts with bacon (scrumptious), house salads, and garlic Parmesan French fries (uninspired). We finished the meal with both the cheesecake, whipped twice for some of the lightest cheesecake I have ever had, and the Panacotta that had fruit and brandied bananas and was melt in your mouth. The drinks were not to be missed - the martini was classically mixed and the Lemontini was a delicious, light mix with surprise vanilla and cream. They had the best music during dinner and TV screens up all around.

Yelp
Have eaten here often but seems to be going downhill. I dont mind paying for a good meal, yet our past few visits have not been good. The food is dry, tasteless and apparently prepared by a non-Italian cook. Our meal for 2 was $135 with no drinks and definitely a waste of time and money. They seem to push wine and alcohol sales over their food and wondering if they should just open a wine store. Our $27 1/2 dozen grilled oysters had shell fragments, preventing us from eating. Also, for an Italian steakhouse their menu is boring. Weve decided to stop trying and after 4 negative experiences over 4 months dont have the need to try again.

Yelp
It was awful. Went twice the only thing I was able to eat their focaccia bread. Not impressed

Karen W.

Yelp
We sat at the bar and had a wonderful dinner. Our server was Andrew F and he is just delightful. He had created a brine for a dirty martini that made the most unique and refreshing martini. Also, I highly recommend the special that was a steak ragu with fettuccini that was rich and comforting.

Yelp
First time here. For a Thursday it had a decent crowd. A fellow played guitar and sang by the bar. Service was attentive. Daughter enjoyed mozzarella balls appetizer and her kids baked ziti. Adult portions were good and tasty. I had a beef cheek pasta which was a pretty good portion . Oysters were nice. Pleasant evening . Nice addition to the west side of town .

Yelp
My wife and I decided to book a reservation here for our anniversary. We had an amazing experience! The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were very friendly! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We keep trying this place because of proximity, but it just can't get it together. Perhaps it is trying too hard to be both a steakhouse and an Italian restaurant, and resultantly does neither well. Key menu items and specials not available Saturday night at 6? Rookie waitress who didn't know anything about the menu. Arrogrant, (unsolicited) patronizing "manager" who inflamed a bad meal by saying, "I'm sorry you and your family were confused by our menu, but we rarely get complaints and business is great!" Weak sauces, greasy over-fried everything. So many solid restaurants in Nashville, it would be great to have one in this relatively low-rent Bellevue location. But stay away from this amateur, high-priced slophouse.

Yelp
We've been going every Wednesday for happy hour and it is fantastic. Great appetizers and drinks. Friendly attentive employees. Love it.

Yelp
Firstly: thank you to the owners managers and crew for opening this sort of place in this part of Bellevue. We have very few sit down + "nice" sort of options. Thank you to the bar manager for whipping up a sour orangey strawberry -y mocktail for me which was tasty and also quite pretty. Many options include steakhouse selections and some interesting looking pasta options. I tried the steak frites with the mushroom risotto instead of the frites and then had their famous panna cotta after it was strongly suggested by more than one staff member. **** four stars for the meal with one star off just due to temperature being lukewarm by the time it got to me which was strange considering the restaurant was not very full. ***** five for the panna cotta which had a really unique not too sweet flavor and the garnishes were slices of banana that had a tiny brulee toppings on them and a very high-end couple of cherries that were soaked in rum or possibly whiskey.

William M.

Yelp
Fantastic staff - Marina behind the bar rocks it!! Order the chicken parm- the best in Nashville. Happy hour is great too!

Janice G.

Yelp
The food is AMAZING - every item that I've tried has been spot on. Flavor, presentation, even the price. My first couple of visits (a couple of years ago) the staff was nice, but not overly friendly. The last year - year and a half - it is a warm and friendly place. I love the old movies playing in the background, the restaurant is not so noisy that you cannot have a conversation with friends. They do wine dinners monthly to experience wines and delicious food pairings. I haven't yet attended a bourbon dinner there. They also do FUN things - such as a Halloween bash, Valentine's specials - etc. A MUST TRY in Bellevue!

Joan E.

Yelp
Extensive menu. Great pasta choices. Excellent food and service! Special wine nights.

Yelp
Mama says If you can't say nothing nice be quiet ... I'll just leave the picture of Cesar salad . I've had better . Maybe it's the wine I've drank but the pile of anchovies looks like poo.. sperrys all day over this !!!

Yelp
What a wonderful dining experience! Angelo, our server, was spot on Friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and keen to know when to come by and check on us, amongst other enjoyable qualities The food, drink and atmosphere all top notch! My husband had the filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini- all were excellent! I had the veggie flatbread, Caesar salad, squash risotto and asparagus, everything was delicious Wine specials, live music, great service, great food! We look forward to returning

Yelp
We loved just about everything here with only a single split decision. First off, the manager was incredibly helpful in accommodating my wife's dietary limitations without sacrificing anything important. Our server was excellent. The vibe is stylishly comfortable. At our table of 5 we had: a half dozen oysters, which were perfectly chilled, nice size, good cocktail sauce; a Caesar salad and a split Fortuna salad minus burrata and croutons, both salads nice mix, well prepared; scallops for my wife, prepared simply with lemon and butter, with sides of roasted fingerlings and squash, all great; son had strip steak, cooked perfectly, very flavorful; DIL had the chicken piccata, which she said was delicious; and grandson and I both had the steak frites, once again the steak was cooked to order and very tasty. The split decision was on the frites, which seemed a little like hash browns, liked by one, neutral by one, and disliked by two, though we all agreed some good, hand cut homemade French fries would have been better. We had an excellent red blend wine, Baby Blue, for 3 of us, craft beer for 1, and Coke for 1. All in all, a really wonderful evening dining out while visiting family in the area.

Yelp
We had an absolutely amazing dinner! Starting with the sangria, both red and white and bread with whipped butter, we knew we were in for a treat with the quality and taste so far. I had the gnocchi with short rib and roasted squash and my husband had a the ribeye. My meal was so flavorful and well balanced, my only critique would be to ask for more of that roasted squash, there simply wasn't enough! My husband always gets a steak if we go out, he can't resist, and he has high standards for steak. Of all the places we've been to in the Nashville area, he says this was the BEST steak he's had-- both cooked and flavor-wise. We ended the meal with the Basque cheesecake which is "burnt" on top (intentionally!). The caramelized top from the browning of sugar and cream cheese adds so much richness. The interior is creamy and super smooth. Ever since I've had this style of cheesecake in Spain I've dreamed of having it again. It didn't disappoint and we asked for a second slice to take to friends. Our server, David, was also wonderful, he was welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. He had the gift of being at the table when you're ready to order and check in without being too present. That's a special talent anymore, we haven't had service like this in quite some time. It's a special occasion price point for us, but that's not a complaint by any means, every bite was worth the price. We may not be weekly diners, but we will make this our special date night restaurant.

Yelp
Great menu selection. Very personable wait staff. Beware of their seemingly loud sound system for their live music shows. We found useless having to raise our voices to carry on any conversation! Lol.

Yelp
Finally got to Fortuna for a solo Father's Day meal. Being solo, I sat at the bar and was attended to by Rainey, who used to bartend at Bar Louie in One Bellevue Place. Great service, as always (which says something, at least to me, as the Bellevue Bar Louie can be a dumpster fire of badness - Happy Hour at the bar an exception?). As a full disclosure, I am rating partially on potential, as I think the food and atmosphere are definitely 5 star, but there are still some kinks. I also gave a bump as I think the one star reviews are written out of ignorance over the type of restaurant, food, and that a soft opening turned into a major storm (which would hurt any new restaurant). I hope the people rating that way get educated on the food and give it another try. I like what they did to the place, which is somewhat minimal. If you ever visited the Applebee's before it's early demise, the layout is similar. Some of the televisions have been moved around but play classic movies instead of sports (ala Chauhan in the Gulch, albeit not classic Bollywood). The colors and layout are classic enough to go upscale casual (which Fortuna is) or more sports bar, which Applebee's was. The reuse of cabinets near the bar for wine selections tips to the casual upscale side. The starter menu (see pictures) screams steakhouse, with some raw bar, salads, pasta, and Italian classics (mostly around meat). Talking to the chef, the beef comes from their own commissary, which also sells to many restaurants in the Nashville area. As such, you will get a good cut at a better price point than some other spots. For my meal, I started with a Fortuna Salad with the basalmic ranch dressing. Was not sure about basalmic in ranch, but the mixture of fat and sour actually work well. The salad is made with a mescalin mix, roasted tomatoes, bacon, and burrata cheese (see picture). My main course was a ribeye with mushroom risotto. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare (not as evident in the picture) with a nice crust on the outside. Very hot grill, a good understanding of time to temp. I opted for black garlic (fermented garlic) butter for the topping, but was also tempted by the demi-glace. The mushroom risotto was creamy with a wonderful flavor. If I had one suggestion here, I would bring in a roasted garlic flavor to complement the mushrooms. As an aside, I do risotto at home and it is very labor intensive and easy to mess up, so kudos to the chef. To pair with the steak, I chose a Montepulciano, which is a Tuscan blend with Sangiovese as the base. The slight spiciness worked well as a complement to the steak, but after ordering we talked wine and realized the house "Il Bastardo" (yes, it means what you think) is a Sangiovese and should pair as well as the Montepulciano (I will add an update when I get a Ny Strip and the Sangiovese). To end, I tried the cheesecake. Browned top with a custard like middle, which is very authentic to the style. Topped with a basalmic drizzle and macerated strawberries, giving it a very elegant tone. I boxed up the meal to make room for a bit of cheesecake, but ended up eating the entire thing while I sat at the bar. I can't say much about the Italian dishes, as I did not have anyone else around to sample various dishes. I will likely find that chance at some point and rectify the situation. Of the other items, I am most curious about the Veal Saltimbocca off the favorites and the Carbonara and Gnocchi Bolognese (a hard dish to get right) on the pasta menu. As for the one star reviews, I think we need to level set. Fortuna attempted a soft opening, but the "first post" crowd felt everyone needed to know they were open and slammed them (a success problem, as few, if any, restaurants are prepared for an onslaught during a soft open). Second, If you want to compare fairly, this is closer to one of our downtown steakhouses, with an Italian flair, than Olive Garden (McDonald's is right out). It might not be on top of the best steakhouses in Nashville, but the price point is a bit lower, which fits the upscale casual vein.

Yelp
tl:dr: This spot is worth the drive from any part of Middle Tennessee especially for those who don't like the hip fancy parts of new Nashville. I would go as far as saying this is NY/NJ Italian approved. Don't let this just be a secret for older folks that live off Sneed road. For the younger and hip types, sometimes a place is just good and stop worrying about how cool a place is, it's just good. The new Nashville has a lot of places opening up all over the place that seems to cater to the hip, young and cool. Every place is built in such a way to extract as much money as possible from tourists and those who like to be fancy. I enjoy some of those places and others, y'all have seen my thoughts as well. I have to say, Fortuna is a place that doesn't check any of the marks of New Nashville and quite frankly, it's a relief. They used an old Applebee's (Brand new building though) that went out of business to build it, it's not overly built up and seems like they were wise in how to remodel. There is no ultra lux interior or it doesn't feel that it's trying too hard either. What it does deliver on is what I would call being just proper. Proper in the selection of the employees in that they just didn't hire folks looking for a job but professionals or those who set out to try to be a cut above. I don't know how they did that in this market but I'm glad they did, kudos on that. Proper in that I've been hearing from older folks who are Italian and from NY/NJ/Chicago type of Italians that usually groan when talking about Italian food in the south. Now most importantly, how was the food? I had to think about this for awhile, I've been to three-star Michelin restaurants in Rome, some Michelin level ones in NYC, DC and Chicago. Now now, this isn't gonna hit the high notes as a Stradivarius violin like Fiola in DC or Pergola in Rome, Italy. The thing is, the notes are still wonderful, follow the proper tempo and tune and I didn't catch any errors either. I don't want to rate restaurants high all the time, that would mean my judgement is lacking refinement. If I put this into Nashville terms. This is absolutely a wonderful restaurant that can spar with Yolan and exceeding Yolan pound for pound in taste. I still rate Yolan higher on many other aspects though. The drink I had was cleverly called a Sophia Loren, it was made with a whiskey, ginger beer, lemon, bolivar bitters and a square ice cube made with buttery pea flower tea. It has a "look" that sometimes, I'm like, okay cool but does it taste well? It tasted good enough that I stopped and thought about it. That's a winner in my book. (And the icecube turns it into a fun purple as you drink it). Being an Italian place, there are some things that you can gauge their Italian levels on and that's how I chose what I ate. First off: The meatballs - it's first about the sauce for me and - it's more of the watery based sauce with a freshness versus more salty/oil. Nailed it. Then next was the meatball itself, they went with more light fill and not a heavy oil beef ball but the right balance. Second: The Carbonara pasta - I think everything hit right but maybe, if I'm being critical it had a little bit more thickness to it but not faulting that. Of course, if they had a pecorino romano cheese which is near impossible in the US it might have lightened it up but it was a good Parm used with the bacon and it was good. Last test: The Panna Cotta - it came out in a different way than I'm used to, meaning it seemed to have a little less formed shape. The base of a Panna Cotta is pretty simple (gelatin, water, cream, vanilla sugar) but their additions with an almost brazed/sugared banana on the side + the chocolate sprinkled in like a spice gave it an extra kick. I'd actually say this was the star of the night for me. This place is going to be a neighborhood mainstay at the level of Sperry's in Belle Meade if they keep things up the way they did tonight. Price wise - 74 bucks for a cocktail, app, pasta and dessert with 20% tip was also a good part of why I'm pumping it up.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME! Best happy hour in town... 7 days a week! Everything I've tried here has been delicious. Highly recommend! Go see Billy Jo at the bar and she'll take good care of you!

Yelp
Italian steakhouse, I love this! I came here on a weekday evening and found ample parking and easy access. I had made a reservation but there really was no need, it was not crowded. I was greeted promptly and seated right away. I ordered a nice glass of white wine and my companion had a glass of red. The wines paired nicely with our food. They brought a basket of bread, but we both eat gluten free so I cannot comment on the bread, though it looked fresh. We had bone in ribeye with potatoes and 6 oz filet with broccolini. Both were very good. While dining one of the owners checked in with us, which was nice. We finished our meal with gelato and a cup of americano, both were delicious. I hope to return soon.

Yelp
This is a great addition to Bellevue. We were greeted by a very cool Anthony Bourdain portrait - and very friendly hostesses- upon arrival and sat at a spacious booth during happy hour. We both ordered different pastas to share: spaghetti with meatballs and lasagna. Both were delicious! Loved the bright, fresh sauce on the spaghetti and the lasagna was just outstanding; we really enjoyed our food and wine. Our attentive server kept us laughing throughout and the 70's classic rock kept me singing between bites and sips. It was a great vibe! We'll be back soon to try the steak!

Yelp
Good food. Good service! Well taken care of by Julie and she was great. Very friendly and attentive. We have since gone back and the food is delicious. The tiramisu was the best!

Yelp
Was an amazing dinner tonight, my guy and I haven't been to Fortuna in a while, but wow, amazing service, food cooked to perfection, ambiance was amazing. And Billi Jo didn't disappoint, with her amazing service at the bar! Was so nice to be at a local restaurant where the management and owners still come out to greet you , make sure all was good with your food and your actual experience! Hands down, you should try if in the Bellevue area! Can't wait to come back and check out their new happy hour, Monday-Sunday/ 7 days a week..4:30-6:30 Thanks for a great time/dinner

Yelp
Just had the most wonderful service from Angelina, she was so cute, so sweet and very knowledgeable, we usually don't get dessert, but this was the first time we got talked into it . Food was great! My steak was cooked exactly how I like it, and the oysters and grilled octopus were so amazing, but of course, our server Angelina was the reason that made our experience even better, so shout out to Angelina!!

Yelp
First- love the atmosphere - darker/ quieter. Nicer overall vibe. Totally different than the typical Mexican or pub choices in area. Dined here twice. Ordered the veal with calamari and mussel apps. All very good. Second visit ordered the NY Strip. Cooked perfectly. Good flavor. Have to say the veal seemed to have more pop. Think I will stay on that side of menu next time. Service has been superb both visits. Bar area has an accommodating feel as well for that casual drink. They do offer a tempting happy hour. Recommend for a change of pace in the Bellevue area. We will return soon!

Yelp
The food and service were so good at Fortuna last evening. My husband had scallops, risotto and kale. I had the chicken piccata, stir fried vegetables and we shared the grilled Caesar salad. The food was excellent.

Yelp
Foods incredible, Service is outstanding, The restaurant is beautiful and has such a great vibe. We have only been once but plan on going back very soon!!! I've sent many friends and all of them have had the same experience! Cheers to the local places like this!!!

Yelp
Love Fortuna! This place is amazing! Super local vibe, friendly service, and the food was to die for. I highly recommend you check it out!

Yelp
I'm giving this place 3 stars for ambiance & their amazing and friendly staff. It seems very upscale, with black and white old movies playing and even live music some nights. All the ingredients for a great restaurant.. The problem, unfortunately, is the food. The dishes seem upscale, with upscale $$$ prices, but the food has been sub-par and oversalted/greasy every time I have been. The lasagna was good the first few times but is now so salty we cannot eat it. The chicken parm (with fried chicken) was greasy and tasted like it would come from a sports bar, not a high class italian restaurant. It made us sick. The shrimp flatbread was dry and fishy and I can get better fettuccini at Carabbas. I do not recommend eating here. If you go, it would be for a glass of wine and good conversation, not for the food. I think this restaurant would be extremely successful if they had better chefs and food.

Yelp
Second time's a charm! We tried Fortuna tonight after a very mediocre first visit last year. They definitely redeemed themselves. We made reservations for their Bardstown Bourbon Company 5-course dinner/bourbon pairing experience. Our server, Chris, was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. After we declined to sit at a tiny 2-top table we were seated at a comfortable full sized table. The tables, dining room & restrooms were all clean and odor free. While there was only one premium BBC offering on the list, all paired well with each course of our meal. On our first visit the kitchen had a number of issues however tonight each course was unique, well-presented and perfectly cooked. The highlights for us tonight were the extremely tender Filet, grilled Peppadeus stuffed w/goat cheese served over dressed greens w/15-yr balsamic and the chocolate coulant. Nice job. We'll be back!

Matt B.

Yelp
Friday evening dinner service, ordered the Short rib sweet potato gnocchi and they were out so I went with a 12oz New York Strip with a side of mashed potatoes. As the steak was coming to the table, I was notified by what I think is the manager and was told that they were out of potatoes and said, "we already went through 27 orders of potatoes, which is good for us but not for you" So I got the Mac n cheese instead. Steak came out and was super charred on top which overpowered any flavor of the actual steak. On top of that, the medium rare steak had zero juices. How does a medium rare steak have no juices? However, our servers and the staff were really nice.

Yelp
Food was amazing, Steaks are delicious. This night I had the grilled Octopus as appetizer and Lasagna. Absolutely one of a kind flavor

Yelp
We moved to Bellevue from Houston 6 months ago and have been struggling to fine a good dining spot. This place was amazing from the moment we walked in until the moment we left! David was our server and he was great! We had the meatballs and artichokes for appetizer. Both were absolutely delicious. The balsamic glaze on the meatballs hit the spot and the artichokes were done perfectly. We both ordered the filet medium and they were done perfectly! The sides we chose were the garlic mashed potatoes and broccolinI. Again, just delicious! For drinks we had the house red sangria and an espresso martini. We ordered a second round because again, so good! If you are a dessert person they have many good options. Unfortunately, we were just too full to try any out. I cannot wait to go back! Ambiance is perfect. This place is great for a date night!

Yelp
This place is amazing! Best brussell sprouts in Nashville and I've been everywhere. Best bruschetta I've ever had. And the manager delivered our food tonight!!!' Must go!

Yelp
We ordered take out from Fortuna & really loved the food! The chicken piccata & chicken parmesan came with large pieces of chicken & were delicious. We also enjoyed the lasagna & grilled Caesars salad. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Must say that this meal exceeded all expectations. This time we had no issues with any part of the dinner. Our server, Presley did a great job. We will be trying the Brunch next.

Yelp
I had the filet with Italian Mac and my husband had the fettuccine with scallops. Everything was delicious. Service was phenomenal. Veronica was knowledgeable & very friendly. Will definitely be back, especially on Wednesday for the half price bottle of wine & steak specials!!

Yelp
I'm leaving 3 stars because our server, Sarah, was 5+. Otherwise, meh. Unfortunately I can no longer eat raw oysters so we ordered them baked. Too much topping that overwhelmed, thus leaving the oysters flavorless. The oysters themselves were still cold. Caesar Salad was pretty good; best part of the meal. My T-bone steak, ordered medium, came out very well done. I sent it back. The second one came out cooked closer to medium, but the problem was obvious. The steaks were VERY thin. No how, no way were they even close to 22 ounces. Maybe 14-16. They don't carry standard steak sauces. No A-1? Really??? The broccolini was just bad. No taste. I didn't eat it. Again, our server was outstanding. One of the best I've encountered in quite a while. Unfortunately, that couldn't make up for a very expensive, and very disappointing meal.

Yelp
So happy to see this part of town getting fancy sit downs! Fortuna is your pretty typical Italian fare with a good steak menu (we didn't try, but next time!) however everything we got was delicious. The owners and staff are super nice and it was great to see the place packed - always a good sign for business. One star off just for my drink - da Vinci was quite a lot of alcohol for a cocktail and just wasn't for me, but I'm glad to see Stella on the menu and will definitely go for that next time.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant for the first time. I got carry out. Inside the restaurant is a comfortable vibe and people were sitting at the bar. The food was delicious. I got the pasta carbonara, broccolini, and sweet potato risotto. Loved it. All well prepared. Also enjoyed the garlic bread. Their cheesecake was probably the best I've ever tasted. I hope our neighbors in Bellevue and Nashville support this place. It's better than most of the places on Hwy 70 and Hwy 100. Too much fast food and Mexican restaurants.

Yelp
As I spend six months out of the year in Italy, I'll admit to being skeptical about the "new Italian restaurant on the block", however, longing for a taste of the Old Country, I finally made my way into Fortuna to give it a go. As I entered, I was not only greeted by two lovely hostesses, but by culinary and travel hero, Anthony Bourdain. His presence upon the wall immediately gave clout to this new neighborhood restaurant in West Nashville, as if giving a nod to where he would hang out were he in our fair city. My initial skepticism may have possibly been based on my knowledge that it was a renovated Appleby's, but I was more than pleasantly surprised at it's transformation and was thrilled that all hints of the former eating establishment were gone. A beautiful bar, surrounded by comfortable, but unpretentious seating, and an overall inviting ambiance set the tone for the evening which awaited. Although our server, Jackie was new, she was attentive and offered honest opinions and suggestions on selections from their fairly broad and interesting menu. Each staff member, including the GM checked in with us often to make sure we were well taken care of. We decided to do a "tasting" through the menu, which served us well. The calamari was as good as ANY I have eaten on the Amalfi coast; delicately breaded and extremely fresh. The meatballs...served without pasta (which is correct!) we're tender and tasty, served with their fresh marinara. The wedge will probably be my go-to salad, but the Caesar salad, offered grilled or fresh, was excellent! Blue Point oysters were next up and were as fresh and delicious as any pulled out of the Ligurian sea at my favorite port side ristorante in Portofino. For our entree, we decided on the bone-in Ribeye steak. Hand cut and cured by their local purveyor...it was absolutely divine and perfectly prepared! Their house made sauces were incredible...especially the one with a Worcestershire base. Wonderful additions to their array of steaks, with several to try. Our sides trio were fresh asparagus and hasselback potatoes, but reigning supreme was their mushroom risotto. Rich and creamy...with the perfect bite, I knew this would be a trueTEST! Bravo! Excellent! We didn't have much room left, but forged on to the desserts. A house made cheesecake with balsamic macerated strawberries and an inventive take on panna cotta transported me to one of my favorite Osterias found down a tiny cobblestone street in Firenze! Bottom line...you may find a "swankier" "new Nashville" establishment in 12th South or The Gulch, (and pay $30 to park!) but now, there is another reason to drive down Highway 100...and it's not just for fried chicken and biscuits at Loveless! Great job Fortuna and welcome to the neighborhood! I cannot wait to drop in again!

Yelp
Nice place and. Needed in the area but food has a lot to be desired. Chicken piccata was virtually flavorless. Meatballs were good but the red sauce was overly sweet. Main course Caesar Salad was kind Of small in size. Service was good though. Hope they can improve and make it.
