Cold, award-winning macro-brew beer, well-curated but kinda ropey jukebox, attentive bartender, stand-up comedy, darts, well-poured Guiness and a Charles Bukowski inspirational quote chilling on the wall. You should be able to make a decision based on this. I can't wait to go back.

I can’t even believe or rationalize how my wife and I were treated here. I don’t think the internet needs my story, but if the owner cares they should reach out. I was here the night of 04/23/23. I’ve worked in and grew up in this industry my whole life- from dive bar to craft bar to steakhouse. As a customer I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. We actually left before we ordered a drink and we were two of the five people there. We were excited to check this out and make it a haunt. A sad waste.

This is the kind of place you want your funeral reception held. 10/10

If you're new or visiting as a tourist I wouldn't recommend this place as the chap said he can only take "Massachusetts's IDs ) At first we walked in and it was nice and we were welcomed by a dog that was so sweet and wanted cuddles. However the gentlemen there being uneducated turned me and my godmother away because I have the "new ID from Nevada." (She has the older one sorry Nina we had to leave) I understand not knowing but to turn someone away and make them feel nasty or like they're doing something wrong is beyond me. At my big age of 29, I've never been turned down for having an ID that my state is requiring us all to have by 2025.

This dive is near perfect. Stiff drinks. Surly clientele. And an interior that hasn't changed since roughly 1979. My kinda place

I would not recommend this bar to anyone. Came here an hour and a half before closing, we were the only patrons and Bruce gave us a hard time from the second we walked in. We all showed our IDs and I tried to order a glass of wine, which took him about five minutes to find. Shared some laughs with friends and then Bruce said we're gonna call it a night and took my wine away for no reason. He assumed we were going to be a problem before we could even sit down. We always have a great time and tip well, this was extremely uncalled for. Mind you Bruce was smoking a cigarette outside and saw us coming in.Poor attitude from Bruce will never return and will spread the word. We are new to the town and this was a terrible first impression of a local bar. We will not be recommending this to anyone.

Great dive bar, will put on EPL soccer if you ask. Love this place (they sometimes have Jell-O shots) Every town needs a bar like Fortune

This certainly is a hidden gem in Amesbury. Great set up, super friendly staff and a really nice / consistent beer selection.

It's my favorite bar in Amesbury! Everytime I come in, I'm always treated with respect and kindness. Wonderful drinks and food. Would highly recommend to every and all friends that I can. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere without the annoyance of a big bar, I highly recommend this place!!!

It's a dive bar. But, if you give it a chance, and get to know Greg and Bruce, awesome bartenders, you will find it's a great place to chill and get away from the world. Great service, awesome music, and a nonjudgmental atmosphere. My kinda place.

I've been coming to Fortune for years. Kristen is the best bartender. Great drinks. They have Alcohol & great mixes. Come here if you want great service and good cost drinks. Will continue coming back.
