I've visited Fortune House many times, and it's become one of my favorite places to eat! I've had a chance to try a variety of dishes, including the veggie spring rolls, roti and dip, veggie fried rice, pad Thai, and orange chicken, and every single dish has been amazing. They also have delicious coconuts! The portion sizes are very generous, and the taste is fantastic, especially considering the reasonable prices. It's hard to beat the value you get here. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, always making sure we have everything we need. Plus, parking is a breeze, with plenty of available spots. Overall, I highly recommend Fortune House to anyone looking for delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

Tom Yum Soup is literally perfect, every dish is delicious. We’ve been here for Lunch AND Dinner times, both times, the food was fresh. Portions are big. Just look at those ribs and orange chicken…… Oh, also…. The Thai Iced Tea & Thai Iced Coffee is strong, yet balanced. The coffee and tea hits the spot, one time I opted for this coffee instead of Starbucks

Decent little spot. Food is a decent price. Enjoyed the quick service and the owner is on site and on top of everything. First time eating and ordering Togo order of Mongolian beef w/a side of rice, and wantons w/ plumb sauce.

One of the best thai places. Finally found the good restaurant. We were the only one dine in. But they had a lot of orders to go. And good price also.

The food was the nastiest Chinese food I have ever had disgusting the rice was nasty. The Charmin was nasty. A waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was take out on my way to work. Very disappointed very dissatisfied.

Went last night, been here a few times but tonight hit different, the flavors fresh and spot on. Very basic Thai menu but done well. Clean establishment, TVs, fish tank, and waving kitty at the register. Service was the best part, we feel noticed and they're very attentive, kids included. Don't forget the Thai iced tea.

Soup was great! Creamy with mushrooms and shrimp I like it. Pad see ew was also good and tasted well. Spicy Fish was also good. This place is consistent with great service, keeping the place clean. They are very welcoming and friendly. Hats off

Ambiance is great the service was amazing. All the workers there treated my family like their family. Very loving and full of smiles. Food was very delicious. Crispy Shrimp Roll-lightly battered with a nice flakey crust. Pad Kee Mao with shrimp- flavored and light you could taste the freshness of all the ingredients. Mangolian beef- very well seasoned taste so good.

Stopped off on a random evening for Thai food which we've been a few time throughout the years. Staff is always so friendly which is always a good sign. This particular night, we happened to be the last that arrived. There was a few groups still utilizing the tables but finishing us their meals. Staff is always so friendly which was great. Very sweet. Also seems like all the patrons seem to know the staff so it could be your local family local spot. Food didn't take long to arrived and was fresh which is always a good sign. Started off with the chicken larb and rice. It was quite tasty and seasoned well and accompanied by the fresh cabbage. Mains, the chicken panang and coconut soup but noodled style. Both dishes were great. The flavors were great. As well as the prices. We've been a few times here and there and each time the staff was always so friendly. Food was good, each dishes was flavorful.

The food is amazing always fresh and so full of flavor. The staff is the best part super friendly and always attentive. Their pad Thai is delicious, all the soups are savory and delicious. I order something new every time and always satisfied. Their fried rice with chicken and pineapple is my favorite.

This is one of the local decent restaurants in the neighborhood; majority of the time the food is good, sometimes it's oily, it really depends what you order. The eggplant dishes are oily. Service is pretty fast and the ambience is very lively!

Great food. Great service. Management was a delight. Food was exactly as ordered. Nice large portions. This was our first visit and we will be returning. If you are looking for great food and a fun atmosphere, we highly recommend Fortune house.

I always enjoy a great Thai place. This gem fits the bill from food, decor, and service. My favorite item is their Grilled Beef which is Beef, onions, tomatoes, chili, and cilantro. The flavors are delicious and will satisfy your buds. The Pad Pik King which is Green beans sauteed with a spicy curry paste with kaffir lime leaves and choice of meat is mouth watering delicious. They have a variety of other items on the menu but these are a must try. Service is great as Set will make sure any questions you have are answered. Parking is in their lot.

Came here on a random week night and was pleasantly surprised! Portions were appropriately sized but could be bigger, I came with a party of 4. We ordered 6 dishes and finished all the dishes, and the pricing of the dishes was amazing! Now for taste, the dishes look simple but were very flavorful and definitely packed a punch. Some of our favorites included pad see ew (food wok air flavor), garlic Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, and the Panang curry. Service was also quick and kind which we appreciated. Would definitely return again for a quick meal!

Creamy coconut curries, fresh spring rolls with basil leaves, crisp Cucumber, juicy shrimp and soft tofu. The nutty peanut sauce is divine here, as well as their sticky rice. This restaurant is tucked away in the saticoy shopping plaza, a bit hidden away. Inside was a bit warm and humid. A fish tank with sleepy fish greets you as you enter. Large TV screens show sports and news. The smiling owner handed us some worn menus and was very extroverted and talkative. I got an ice cold Lemonade to cool me down, the summers here in the valley are brutal. The fried catfish came in a coconut curry sauce, my basil chicken was very aromatic and flavorful. I would have preferred that the fish been served whole instead of in chunks. Everything tasted great, tons of flavor but could have been hotter. The pineapple coconut ice cream came with lychee on ice. It was a nice way to end the meal. The kind owner put our leftovers in bags for us and took the time to talk to us. It ended up being $74 plus tip total, on the pricey side.

We've been going to Fortune House for many years now, we started when it was located on Balboa & Saticoy. Their Thai food is my favorite, food is always delicious and the service is always friendly! The ambiance is chill, depending on what days you go. They do tend to be busier in the evenings especially on weekends. If you've never been, you most definitely need to go!

Service was good, they're very friendly unfortunately the food wasn't good, the chicken was not fresh tasted that it was days old, the egg rolls tasted weird. Hopefully they would do a better job next time

been living for more than a year within walking distance of this place and im also a Pad Thai addict and today was my first time ordering here Amazing Pad thai ( we ordered seafood mild spicy) the sweetness and the flavor was just perfect. The Service is 7/5 stars for me. Very poilte and they're really nice both in the phone and when i picked up my order. Unlike those other restos where you feel like you're being scolded all the time My wife ordered the regular Tom Yun which im always never a fan as i prefer the one with coconut milk. but it was okay for me and of course my wife liked it a lot. The place is spacious and looks good. definitely walking back to this place again

Get the LARB salad that's all I have to say! My one recommendation is to not serve to go curry so hot ! Once it spilled and I got legitimate burns on my leg even 30 min after I arrived home. Very tasty food tho

I always go to get the egg soup when I'm sick always does me good. Always busy but you get your food fast! And the service is great you go there enough they remember you and your order.Sweet ppl

Great casual Thai restaurant with traditional Thai fare. I've never received bad service at a Thai restaurant before and this place has been probably the most warm and friendly restaurants I've dined at.

Ordered the kanar and garlic sauce and beef broccoli with gravy to go, found myself a new spot locally. The only thing. If you order through yelp it's $2 extra for protien it's misleading from the picture menu. I wanted crispy pork instead of a regular pork. But maybe it's better to call to order just to make sure. It's good food and lots of parking.

We ordered egg rolls, house fried rice, tom yum gong, Mongolian beef, crying tiger and pad see ew. Both the egg rolls and crying tiger were visiably burnt and were inedible. The Mongolian beef, pad see ew and Tom yum gong were all flavorful and delicious.

The food is so amazing here. Many vegetarian options that can be made vegan! The waiter that helped us is incredibly helpful! He comes to your table, asks you what kind of flavors/ food you're looking for and recommends many dishes. It helped my party decide what to order The service is fantastic!

I liked the panang curry with fried tofu and vegetables. I requested peppers and fish sauce and steamed rice to go with it. Had broccoli, peppers, lime leaf shreds and cabbage and the dish was very tasty once the peppers and fish sauce were added. I also ordered the spring rolls but they weren't cooked through all the way and I didn't really care for the sauce. Lots of groups and take out orders came through while I was here. They are popular! The panang curry was nice and I would recommend this restaurant for a nice place to eat dinner or lunch if you're in the mood for Thai food and near the Ralph's.

We ordered their pad woon sen and pad kee mao for delivery, and I'm still thinking about how tasty these dishes were... it's been two days. This is one of our go-to spots for last minute, delivered Thai food, but I'm usually so preoccupied with eating the food that I forget to take photos or wrote a review. Unfortunately, that means I sometimes forget what I liked or loved here, so here are my notes-to-self: 1) pad kee mao: a little spicy, super flavorful, a good portion of noodles, and a balance of veggies and meat! Super reliable go-to dish for me. 2) pad woon sen: we were surprised by just how good it was here! I'm not sure if we'd just never ordered it from here before, or if they've changed the way they season it, but it was tasty enough for me to think about how good it was, days later. There's definitely a reason why this is our go-to Thai delivery spot. I'll just have to remember to update this post with more dishes when we have them! :)

Haven't been here for several years and went here for my birthday celebration. Last time I was here, I had planned on trying one of the duck menu items, so today I tried the Duck Curry, my friend had the Kanar in Garlic Sauce, and we shared a bowl of sticky rice and the veggie Spring rolls. First off, Sett (Sam) came to greet us. He is so kind, it just makes eating here a pleasure. Second, we opted for different items rather than just Pad Thai or Pad See Ew. The menu here is a delight! So many varieties to choose from! Our food came quickly, it was delicious and satisfying (one warning- the duck had bones, but it added flavor to the dish), and there's enough for dinner tonight. Sett brought me some Almond cookies and wished me a happy birthday. I need to come here more often. The food, the service, and spaciousness of seating makes it worth your while!

The food felt home made and the servers were friendly and helpful, I tried the coconut drink and it was fresh. I missed out on dessert because I was full, but definitely going back!

They've been in business for at least 20 years. Great Thai food. You gotta try their curries, my favorite is the pineapple curry.

Had to come back and try more items on the menu. This was a bigger take out order than last time! In addition to what we got last time (Pad see ew and Pad Thai) we also got the Rad Nar (extra wide noodles with Chinese broccoli in a slightly sweet soy sauce "gravy" with chicken), the Rad Kapraw (Spicy Thai Basil with Chicken) plus the Angel wings! The portions are so generous and the front of the house service is great.

I definitely recommend this place. It's so delicious and the service is always on point. Seth is the best! Try the beef special, it's amazing and you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely love this place! Food is amazing and flavorful. I always get cha cha chicken and the beef special and lo mein. Makes my day when I eat here. The staff are so sweet and kind and so attentive. The restaurant is nice and quiet with very friendly environment. Sid is the best. The Tom Yum Kha soup is also the best so hot and just warms my soul.

DELICIOUS I was in the mood for yellow curry and this was a 10/10 . The flavor for all of these dishes was exactly what I was expecting. The customer service was a 10/10 as well. The servers made sure we were happy and they were SO friendly!

First of all, food is amazing. Me and my fam always get the pad see ew, friend rice, and Tom yum seafood soup. Big portions and good for the family. The staff though, the NICEST people ever. Super attentive, and if you go there enough, they treat you like family. I love the vibes there! Will for the rest of my life eat here. Best Thai food in the valley.

I was just looking for a simple place to go to after my lash appt and saw this place has amazing reviews. They have a lunch menu and an extensive regular menu. I ordered the white fish with curry and it was AMAZING with sticky rice. The curry is SOOOO gooooood and the way they made the fish was to perfection. Every flavor was just so balanced. The sticky rice was great too and you can actually chew it easily. I also ordered the Thai iced tea and that was yummy. I have a lot of left over but I will definitely be back after my lash appointment. If you want an authentic Asian spot with reasonably priced dishes, and memorable flavors, I recommend checking this place out!!!

I'm having a hard time with an honest rating here. The food is delicious. Definitely up between four and five stars. We came here just before the dinner rush, and the service was spectacularly slow at first. As more and more people arrived, though, everyone's service got better, even ours. This despite the fact that almost the same number of people were working when we arrived as when we left. What makes the slow service even more atrocious, though, is that the owner and his wife (?) were sitting two tables down from us when we arrived. We had no idea he worked at the restaurant, but when one of the regulars showed up, the owner jumped up and was suddenly making sure everyone else was seated, had menus, water, etc. I really don't understand what was going on. I would definitely come again, and the service we had was friendly; they just left us alone too long at first (seated but with no menus, no water). Way too long. But who knows when I'll be back? I'll stick with four stars for now and reserve the right to drop if the slow service rears its ugly head again.

I am a person that is gluten-free with celiac disease and this restaurant went out of their way to make sure everything was good so I didn't get across contamination and the food is delicious

Amazing customer service as soon as I walked into order, very patient with me and the food was amazing overall, i highly recommend the orange chicken, will be returning here when I get the chance.

The food was so bad I was honestly impressed. They had to make a conscious effort to make it this bad. The egg rolls were so burnt they were still smoking and dripping in oil. The pad Thai was so oily I am pretty sure it's an environmental hazard.

The earliest I can remember going here was in 1999 and there is a documented photo to help remind me . Point is that 23 years later we still eat here together as a family and separately. Life may get crazy but when feeling like some nostalgia, and banging Thai food, Fortune House is where we go. There are specific dishes that are my favorite but overall the food is consistently delicious. Favorite combination is when I eat here with my cousin, we order (1) Rad Na with Chinese broccoli. Before you bite in, add vinegar and dry chili to taste - enhances the dish in my mind. (2) pad ka prao - chili and basil with ground chicken and rice in the side (3) fried wontons to start. This is your reminder to SHARE (aka family style) so you get to taste everything! Best part? You'll be supporting a family owned small business. Pictured is pad kapraw and pad Thai (clearly didn't come with my cousin )

So the service took a while to come get our order and I was starting to get impatient. However, the food did make up for it! We ordered their masman curry which was excellent along with the coconut chicken soup in the hot pot , pad se ew chicken and a Thai tea.

Great place! The yellow curried chicken is so good! It's a nice little place, seems to be a family owned business, the owner is super sweet and is always hustling making sure everything is running efficiently! 10/10 would recommend.

We just did take out today, 3/30. Service is good but the shrimp pad Thai is not. Actually has a fishy smell and after taste. Must be the oil that they use. Just had one bite then had to throw the whole order away.

If I could give zero stars I would. I did not visit this establishment for years because I felt the food was substandard. I recently revisited and found it to be very good. I called this evening to have a delivery, but they said they only deliver on certain nights. Unfortunately, that's not what their website says. Im under the weather but got into my car and went to pick up my food. When I got home, imagine my surprise when there was American broccoli and not Chinese broccoli in the Pad See Ewe. I called to let them know and the owner got on the phone and got very nasty and said listen to me! When I went back to take back my food she said I should've let them know I wanted Chinese broccoli and not American broccoli. If there is an option, they need to let you know. Every time I go, there's a nice older man there unfortunately he was not there tonight. From what I understand that's her brother and she says he is no owner just my brother. Needless to say, I will not be going back to the Fortune house. She really needs to get her act together because there was only one couple in there eating dinner and it was almost 7 PM.

This is one of our favorite local Thai spots! We get takeout from here all the time and we dine in sometimes too. We are vegetarian and they are super accommodating here to special requests. Our favorites are the yellow curry with vegetables and the pad Thai. The portions are also generous and shareable!

Best Thai food I've had period. I've ordered from here multiple times and have been ver my satisfied with the quality of their food. The pork jerky is out of this world amazing. Pad Thai was great also. I highly recommend.

Best Thai food in The San Fernando valley! The owners and staff are so friendly. It's always super clean, the big fish tank at the entrance is beautiful. My favorites are their pad see ew, drunken noodles, all the rolls, all the stir fried meals, their lemonade and Thai Tea. They also have fresh Coconuts!! This place is honestly the best! :) They have salad (spicy lime is my fav) and soup options also.
