"Hidden on the seventh floor of Bloomingdales, back in the bedding department, Forty Carrots is still serving the best frozen yogurt in the city. An early pioneer of the fro-yo movement (it opened back in the ‘80s), they have all the classic toppings, from gummy bears to Butterfingers, and you can ask for more than one flavor swirled."

By far the best frozen yogurt in town! Delicious flavors, perfect texture, and they’re very generous with portions.

I went to 40 carrots today to take away A carrot cake. They had no more available to go but they told me that if I ordered at the restaurant they would give me one. They charge me twice as much $12 for a piece of carrot cake while it was listed for six dollars outside when asking they told me that it was twice as big as the one to go. When I got the cake it was the exact same size as the six dollar slice. Do not order here unless you want to be charged twice as much for to go orders because of the lack of service that they have.

I have upgraded Forty Carrots from 1 to 3 Stars because the menu is almost back to its original version. The "Story" was, since I inquired. They had lost, fired or eliminated the old chef 👨‍🍳 ! Apparently he's back. Some of the original offerings, still not on this menu, are available if you ask! I guess this is the "INSIDER" menu for now 😉. I should give them 4 Stars because I got a pretzel roll with my meal and wasn't expecting it !!! The Staff was also on point, doing a fantastic job ! Whatever the cause, whatever the case, very happy things are back as they should be !!! Good Job PRIOR REVIEW: BRING THE MENU BACK 😡 !!! What "genius" came up with this brainstorm... Where is ownership?!? Also, your reviews, even before this debacle, were all over the place. That in itself is a sign of POOR MANAGEMENT! Time to Clean House !!! Except for the few who have been there for years and actually know many of the customers. Hello, also to Bloomingdale's... Even though you likely lease out 40 Karats to an independent, this still TOTALLY reflects on the store as many of your MOST LOYAL customers hit 40 K as a tradition when there. Bloomingdale's is one of the last bastions of what made living, shopping, or visiting NYC great. Know your place and your responsibilities to this city as the institution you are and guard it ! P.S. It's also time to update the bathrooms on the 7th fl. Get your act together....

This location is a charming getaway, ideal for relaxing after a shopping adventure at one of the globe's most famous boutiques. I've treasured visits here since my youth, and it still amazes me as an adult. The yogurt is unmatched, and the savory meals are just as delicious. It's a fantastic spot to unwind and savor a meal in the lively city. The environment is inviting, offering a necessary respite from the chaos and activity. Whether you're treating yourself to their renowned yogurt or enjoying a flavorful dish, this spot is a must-visit for anyone wanting to relish a delightful meal in a warm atmosphere.

Terrible service! Went around 3:00 sat at table , restaurant wasn’t too busy but servers still walked by many times without acknowledging. Had to flag someone to place my order. Never checked on me, never refilled my empty water glass never offered dessert or brought a check . Server was chatting whole time with an employee that was dining. He even refilled their water while I sat with empty glass 2 tables over. Retrain staff.

Google
One of the best frozen yogurt place. When you r too tired of shopping this is the right place to go to cool you down. Love their coffee flavor and the portion is pretty big. They carry sandwiches and salads too. Nice little sitting area to relax n enjoy your food.

Google
Bad experience from tourists who visit !! The server was arguing with us regarding the tip which we kindly explained that this is what we’ve got. Then it was impossible for her to accept the &2 tip we gave her. Bread was very bad for my tuna and honestly we will not come back here

Yelp
I just had the HOMEMADE, real deal, delicious "chicken noodle soup"-Fantastic!! Served with a hot, long, pretzel cigar roll. See my photos of the chicken soup--inside the soup: chicken, fresh carrots, fresh celery, pasta. Very nice seasonings. Rather than a long noodle, we have round little tubes of pasta, reminiscent of bead-making pieces for jewelry, but I just can't think of the name of the pasta. THE SOUP IS DELICIOUS AND WONDERFUL. I love carrots in my chicken soup. Totally great!!!! And then, I almost ordered a second bowl of soup, but decided to try the French fries. My friendly, HARD-WORKING SERVER recommended them, so ...the fries were very, very good. Served piping hot, as they should be, and they were great. I sat at "the bar" area, which has a nice, wide-topped, white tabletop, placemats in a woven, carrot-color, and it's a pleasant place to eat, with --LOVE THIS--HOOKS UNDER THE COUNTER TO KEEP YOUR BAGS CLOSE. Today, I'm not going to indulge in the yummy, famous, frozen yogurt, but that's a nice treat anytime. Summer is coming, so I'll be here for that. I'm just so happy to know that a GREAT HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP is available here!! Over the last several decades, yes, I said decades, I've seen the changes at 40 Carrots. And today's visit, May 2025, was just great!! Everything was delicious. Service was nice and friendly. 7th FLOOR, inside Bloomingdale's. Enter on Lexington Ave OR 3rd Ave . There are elevators to the 7th floor. Escalators too.

Yelp
An iconic gem at Bloomies. Had no idea how popular this place is & couldn't recall my last visit. It's lighter fare and fro-yo are famous and I loved my ladies lunch. The bunched lunch is what we both had. Are: Carrot soup plus salad & fro-yo $23 The soup was good & came with pretzel bread. The fro-yo is famous, I had chocolate & coffee and it was delicious. For a classic ladies lunch, cannot be beat!

Yelp
For those that know, on the 7th floor of Bloomingdale's flagship store, is a hidden oasis, Forty Carats. I've been coming to Forty Carats for years. I used to come for lunch as my office was nearby. Now, I go for a dependable, delicious and satisfyingly delicious brunch/lunch when shopping at Bloomies. I also must call out Hope, our amazing server who was super-attentive and an all-around great part of our meal. She anticipated our every need and even knew my husband needed a to-go cup of iced tea at the end of our meal. Yeah, even their iced tea is very good and fresh. Typically my go-to are their great salads...chicken salad, tuna and egg salad trio. But yesterday i opted for the Turkey Eastsider, Boars Head Turkey & Swiss. My husband had a delish Chicken Caesar salad that came with a pretzel stick. I passed on the famous frozen yogurt and I'm still sad I did. Maybe it was because it's still cold outside, but I will be back. Sorry no photos ! We ate our food too quickly this time. And, if you're looking for a rest room, there's a great one nearby on the 7th floor as well.

Yelp
I walked to downtown Bloomingdale's and got to sample new perfume on 1st floor. Forty Carrots on 2nd floor is a fabulous experience after shopping. Frozen yogurt and fresh squeezed juice make a tired shopper spring back to life. I purchased a carrot, apple and beet juice. I feel so good I wrote this review. Yummy! And fun.

Yelp
Forty Carrots in Bloomingdale's flagship store on 59th Street at the start of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NYC, 7th Floor Luggage, has the BEST frozen yogurt in the Tri-State area! The perfectly tart and creamy taste of Forty Carrots is if there was a Frozen Yogurt Mega-Merger of Pinkberry (Pomegranate flavor is my fave) and Red Mango and a small hint of Chobani without its smell but fresher taste. I always load my Plain Forty Carrots Frozen Yogurt with carob chips (less sweet than chocolate chips), and love a pop of fruitiness with mangoes (a must in yogurts) and strawberries, and spooning in Wildflower Honey.

Yelp
When I'm at Bloomies I like to stop by Forty Carrots for lunch or a frozen yogurt treat. Today we had both! I ordered the chopped salad and it came with a soft and delicious pretzel. The carrot soup was hearty and tasty, and the frozen yogurt (vanilla) made a great ending to the meal. Our secret, Freeba, was wonderful - very friendly and efficient. The place itself is like a cute sandwich shop meets ice cream parlor - very cute and usually busy. Definitely a must if you're in the building!

Yelp
A true NYC secret shhhh. This gem is hidden on the 7th floor of the Bloomingdale's on 59th and Lexington. It is the perfect lunch spot. They have a delicious half a sandwich and soup with their famous soft serve yogurt. I opted to sit at the bar. I had the bowl of chicken soup with tuna on multigrain bread. I substituted the yogurt for lemonade. The soup was delicious warm and filled with a lot of tasty chicken. The sandwich was the perfect size. It came with a sweet but healthy carrot slaw and pickle. They have free WiFi. The service is fast. The ambiance is low key but classy. There are many families, older women gathering to chat and kids are welcome. It is one of my favorite spots to come get away from it all and truly have one of the most perfect and satisfying lunches in NYC. Thank you and I will be back soon!

Yelp
Forty Carrots frozen yogurt is truly one of a kind. I've been coming here since I was little, and the yogurt still tastes the same--not too sweet nor bland. I know that I can trust Forty Carrots yogurt as a healthier alternative to ice cream because of the freshness and quality of their ingredients. The plain yogurt, which tastes tart, is the best flavor and tastes even better when you pair it with another flavor and fresh fruit as a topping. I also go for the granola :) Not only does the 7th floor of Bloomingdales serve yogurt, but also freshly squeezed juices along with sandwhiches, salads and specialty dishes. The servers are always friendly and always ask me how I'm doing. Although the line can be long during busier hours, it moves quickly. Even though it can be a bit pricey, they definitely don't skimp on the portions. A small seems like it should be a medium. The green, white, and orange palette makes the atmosphere fun and inviting. Come to Forty Carrots you won't regret it!!

Yelp
Accessible location tucked away on the 7th floor of Bloomies. Ended up here, getting of the tram, after a hot day in Roosevelt island. Would probably not return. There are so many delicious froyo and icecream spots in the city--this really isn't worth a second try. Pretty basic flavors without much variety. As for the quality of froyo itself, I was not feeling it. The choco was especially dreadful. Ended up throwing away half of it :(

Yelp
Slow, inefficient service. Paltry portions in their special sandwiches. Don't understand the meaning of 'toasted'. People like this place for the absurd mountains of frozen yogurt - 'highly overrated' is an understatement. Tried to contact 'Management' before posting this, to no avail.

Yelp
We recently ate at Bloomingdale's Forty Carrots restaurants at E. 59th & Lexington. We noticed a change--the ambiance was buzzy with a newly- updated decor. I had the chicken sandwich with grapes and nuts...the bread was very fresh multi-grain. My husband had his usual--3 different salads--egg, tuna, and chicken salads, accompanied by the pretzel bread stick. He noticed the difference too in the taste, and asked our Server what happened---things are excellent--which had been previously missed. She confirmed that several changes happened, and brought back the taste everyone so liked. We rate Bloomie's 40 Carrots 5 Stars for Food, Service, and Ambiance. It's back!

Yelp
Tucked away in the back corner on the 7th floor of Macy's, this spot is great for quick pick me up. Known for the froyo, they also have quick breakfast and lunch options as well, with sit down seating in the back. The froyo at first glance seems expensive but when I saw the portion size, I understood a bit better. The server was very kind and filled up our medium cup until it was well larger than the size of my hand. The toppings are placed in the middle of the cup, not the top to prevent spilling/ falling out. Froyo only customers can sit at the front of the shop where there are many benches and tables.
google avatar

Yelp
Confusing pricing - TOPPING is 3 dollar EACH I got a small froyo and a water for 18 dollars cause I thought it's the same model as pink berry (base yogurt + topping price) Also confusing as nowhere on the menu it says it's 3 dollar each lol you can easily end up with a twenty dollar froyo if you don't know Although I have to admit portion is quite generous for froyo for one person, might not be back again unless I'm sharing with someone cause I couldn't finish mine

Yelp
Shopping at Bloomingdale's just got a whole lot better! Fort carrots has the best salad, they are fresh, packed with protein, veggies and more. The portion sizes are gigantic and worth the price. I ordered the forty carrots chopped salad and love it but couldn't finish it . The chicken was grilled to perfection and the balsamic dressing tied the salad together. My fiancé ordered the mango salad which he was able to finished and loved how fresh it was. The kids menu is also really tasty my daughter ordered the Mac and cheese and my son the nuggets and both were extremely pleased with their dishes. For the freshly squeezed drinks we went with the energizer and immune booster (again the portion size for this restaurant is huge, the small cup was the size of my face). Froyo was the cherry on top. The kids loved decorating their yogurts and we all got to try their amazing creations. I'm so glad we came here.

Yelp
I love restaurants inside department stores or boutiques. I enjoy people watching and being a "lady who snacks" inside the likes of Bloomingdales, as glamorous New York ladies always seemed to be eating in department stores in the books I read as a kid about NYC. Sometimes these stores even have some surprisingly good items like Forty Carrots like the frozen yogurt. The service is really mediocre at Forty Carrots but the frozen yogurt is worth it. If you're someone who is nostalgic for TCBY or frozen yogurt that doesn't have cultures in it, this is your spot. A small is so large that I've ruined dinner twice with fro yo from here by coming right after work. The flavors are also very good. I highly recommend the coffee and vanilla swirl. What's more, the flavors I recommended are both nonfat or low-fat. You can have your ice cream without feeling a beached whale afterward. A small frozen yogurt is 8 or 9 bucks without toppings but you get about a pound of it so price wise, it's not bad. Toppings are very expensive here and not worth it to me personally, as I think the fro yo doesn't need adornment here (and you lose that feeling of being slightly healthy while eating it). Next time you're in the mood for a treat in Midtown or want a pick-me-up while buying winter boots like me, head to Forty Carrots. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Went to forty carrots last month with my mom while we were in the city. We have always loved their frozen yogurt! The only complaint I have is how rude one of the workers behind the counter was. There was a customer who had been waiting like 20 minutes for them to make her simple order of 1 small and one large frozen yogurt correctly since they made it wrong the first time and she was SO rude to her. She specifically told the customer that she was "doing her a favor" by making her order and that she needed to wait because she was waiting on customers in line behind her who were waiting to check out. I couldn't believe how she acted toward a customer who had been waiting patiently for so long. The food is really good though and I wouldn't hold that one employee's behavior against the restaurant as a whole.

Yelp
Forty Carrots feels like the quintessential Manhattan spot, hidden upstairs and away from the public eye but barely a stone throw away from plenty of shopping and high-end luxury items in a multi-story department store. Living just blocks away, I don't reach Forty Carrots as often as I would like. Their smoothies and ice cream are top notch - certainly more valuable than the small sandwiches and salads tucked in their mini-fridge adjacent to the cash register. The place is extremely clean and pre-COVID, had a series of tables with plenty of excited patrons treating themselves to fudge-drenched soft serve ice cream. A word to the wise: their portions are MASSIVE. You won't leave this place feeling hungry. But their prices match the portion sizes, just like everything else in Manhattan. Overall solid, dependable, and tasty. They're mostly famous for their FroYo (as one reviewer mentioned, it's "creamy and delicious with a texture of frozen custard."
google avatar

Sara Y.

Yelp
cashier is unfriendly. while I was asking a question, I was told "miss, there are other ppl waiting!" She didn't answer my questions at all. I needed to ask a person who makes the ice cream if it's a small size or not. + toppings are expensive it's inside and very little! Cost $2! nothing on top. I don't mind buying at the supermarket and bring it very little in my bag. small side is big, if you have a kids, ask extra 2cups - this is enough. actually for adults too. I didn't like the service at all. "no smile's unfriendly. " Yogurt ice cream is yum but it's too big for considering small size and changing $8! I hope they make $4.50 or $5 for much more small sizes. Please consider.

Yelp
Forty Carrots is famous for their FroYo for a reason, because it's really, really good! Creamy and delicious with a texture of frozen custard, there are several low-fat and non-fat flavors, and a plethora of toppings, so make sure to save room! Conveniently located inside of Bloomingdales, it's the perfect spot for a late lunch after a few hours of shopping. The menu has lots of fresh, healthy salads, soups and sandwiches. Everything is wonderful! For me, Forty Carrots is more than just food. It's a place that holds so many mother-daughter memories. From the time I was a pre-teen, my Mom would take me into the City to explore, shop, eat, go to the theatre, take in the sights, see a concert, and experience various cultures. It is because of her that I have a tremendous love for NYC, and now that I live on the West Coast, I miss the City the same way I miss a dear and fabulous friend. During our many excursions, Forty Carrots was the place of many, many lunches and conversations. My mom had scouted it out in her own, and being super health conscious, she determined this restaurant was both healthy and decadent, the perfect treat for our excursions. I had shared this story with a friend years ago and in a recent trip "home," which included an epic day of shopping at Bloomingdales, my friend suggested lunch. Without paying attention, I followed her lead and into the restaurant. When I looked up and saw the Forty Carrots signage on the wall and the bright colors and cafeteria style tables, the memories and emotions literally washed over me. It was so unexpected and out of my control; it felt like my mom's presence, her energy was with me. Memories flooded my brain and I was in tears. Uncontrollable tears. See my mom passed away almost 3 years ago after a long battle with Alzheimer's. My friend looked panicked until I explained they were good tears! Happy tears! I thanked her for being so thoughtful to remember the memory I had shared and for incorporating it into our Girls Weekend in NYC. Now that's a Bestie! The carrot salad topped with vanilla Froyo that we always ordered was no longer on the menu, so I ordered a side of their famous carrot salad and a scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt with walnuts, and put it together myself. From the first bite to the last, it was pure Heaven. Appropriate since that's where my Mom is, watching and smiling over me.

Mandy N.

Yelp
Literally the worst service ever. These people are incompetent and don't communicate with you or each other behind the counter. They make your smoothie then just let it sit on a counter and melt for 10 minutes rather than hand it to me or call my name... why is that hard? I waited almost 20 minutes for a smoothie, almost passed out, and never had it offered to me at all. Had to beg someone to hand it to be behind the counter, then she gives me attitude as if I'm crazy, instead of giving me an apology. Should be called Frozen Yogurt if you're lucky!

Yelp
Love this place! I come every time my friend is in the city visiting. Delish, healthy food at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Yelp
Try: Frozen yogurt with toppings of your choice! I tried strawberry and vanilla in a small cup with strawberries and granola - yum! Why: Delicious and massive! A small is enough for 2-3 people to share. I appreciate that they put the topping in layers, in between the froyo. Notes: Froyo is massive so make sure you get enough napkins or it will melt on your hands! It's on the 8th floor of Bloomingdales. Bathroom is part of the mall around the corner from restaurant. Clean restaurant with a dine-in area.
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
Forty Carrots is the best frozen yogurt that I have ever had. The small is very filling. I had vanilla topped with shredded coconut.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
This place is somewhat hidden upstairs in Bloomingdale's, but it is worth tracking down if you are in the area. Their peanut butter frozen yogurt is my top favorite and is so delicious! You can get your choice of many different toppings to combine with a basic but rotating selection of flavors. This is not the sort of place that has 50 different flavors of yogurt--it is more about having 4 or 5 really perfect ones that taste just right and can combine with all sorts of toppings if you want to. They have "regular food" as well (not just dessert), but I always come here for a sweet treat rather than their entrees. Also keep in mind that the portion sizes for the frozen yogurt are fairly generous, so a Small is actually fairly large. With the current COVID situation, they are of course takeout only, so you would need to take your treats out of the store to eat as a to-go dessert. However, this works well for walk-and-eat, whether you get your yogurt in a cup or cone.

Yelp
I love this place so much!! Their froyo is the best! I especially love their plain and chocolate flavors a lot. It tastes healthy and their topping options are great too. The froyo portions are huge though just keep that in mind (look at the photo I attached for reference :) ) For lunch/dinner, I love their grain bowl. It is very hearty and filling and delicious. The service is always quick and very friendly. This is one of my favorite restaurants!

Yelp
I LOVE this place omg, the frozen yogurt selections are so good ! i got the coffee flavored one with oreo topping and they provide such a good serving of frozen yogurt ! i definitely enjoyed every bite :)

Yelp
Frozen yogurt: 5 star The frozen yogurt is really delicious, not water down like the some other places. The creamy thick texture towards a sweeter side. Even a small cup is full and they fill the cup really high. Service: 0 star The service is awful during the pandemic, instruction is unclear. I wanted to take a cup and sit down, so they took my info for contact tracing and took me to the table with the menu. I told them that I only wanted frozen yogurt and they acknowledged but we were only given the food and drink menu. Went up and asked again was given the frozen yogurt menu but only partial. In the end we had to walk up to the counter because the menu doesn't show everything they have. But after we ordered from the counter they refused us to sit down, told us that we can't bring food in even we have never left the restaurant space and was already left the info for contact tracing. It's just a super bad experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Five stars for their legendary frozen yogurt. Walking in, the crowd is mostly older, fashionable women who have been coming here for decades to catch up and treat themselves. So have I! Follow our lead! Get a lunch (the chicken salad sandwich and salmon burger are solid), get the fro-yo (chocolate and coffee with honey are divine), and enjoy what's been a lovable tradition for so many New York women.

Yelp
I came here with my family over Labor Day weekend. We were looking for a place to eat, and Yelp sent us this way! Unfortunately my review is coming a bit delayed - but I remember not being able to finish my fish tacos. They were very good, but I just didn't crave to each more with every bite. I did however order their chicken noodle soup and let me tell you, it blew my mind! I wanted to order another bowl! I would've ordered a large bowl instead of the tacos I had bought. And last but not least of course, the frozen yogurt! It truly is unlike any other frozen yogurt i've ever had in my life. You must try their frozen yogurt!! I'm typically a chocolate fan, but their vanilla was amazing! I would come back to this place for their soup and frozen yogurt.
google avatar

John I.

Yelp
Their froyo is heavenly and while it was tempting to try vanilla or coffee, I am still stuck on chocolate. The staff at the coffee/yogurt bar area are friendly and efficient. I also visited the dining room one day for lunch and enjoyed a delicious East-sider turkey sandwich with russian dressing and a bit of their carrot salad. It was delicious and for dessert I ordered a small frozen yogurt. Betty is a great waitress!

Yelp
I don't get why they put all the chips on the bottom and none on top ? Especially fir what they charge. The yogurt itself is good

Yelp
I was hiding out in Bloomingdales after an eye appointment. I think Forty Carrots is an example of what I call high/low cuisine that I think is trendy in New York these days. By high/low I mean the extremes of super healthy and super junky. I mean where else can you eat avocado toast and ice cream for breakfast, together? That's 40 carrots' shtick. Indeed, I ordered the avocado toast and while it was healthy and tasty I was super impressed by it because the avocado was more like guacamole than fresh avocado. I chose the cranberry bread because I like sweet/savory combos and enjoyed my poached eggs. I got the soft serve add-on and the peanut butter was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that it stayed wonderful all the way down to the last lick. I'd say go here for the ice cream, not the food. And then, I got hungry again not long after I ate here.
google avatar

Daria D.

Yelp
I love Forty Carrots ice cream. My fiancé and I stopped in for ice cream after our registry appointment in Bloomingdales. The flavor of the day was butter pecan and it was delicious. For the price you're paying you get SOOO much! Everything was great except for that the lady at the register had a nasty attitude and told me I am not allowed to take pictures of my ice cream. Uhm, what?
google avatar

Jiaming L.

Yelp
This was my first experience eating frozen yogurt! As someone with a food allergy, I typically stayed away from froyo places due to the possibility of cross contamination when machines are filled with other flavours. The server was so sweet and understanding, even taking extra precautions to wipe down the outer lip of the soft serve and changing his gloves, which I really appreciated. I've been back a few times since that first taste and it doesn't disappoint!
google avatar

Elyse S.

Yelp
Just ate here. Social distancing was observed. I didn't take pics but the hot pasta with vegetables was terrific. The branzino also great! I LOVE The food here. No ambience. Good accommodating service! Can't wait to return when I'm ready for pasta again. YUM!!!

Yelp
My regular go to. A big plus for Bloomingdales. They are very smart building it on the 7th floor so it's almost impossible to not shop before you reach the cafe First. The service provided by waitress Betty is impeccable. My family and friends that I have brought here will not sit at a table unless she is available to serve them. Then the pièce resistance is the dairy free, 100% natural Carrot soup with the the best ever! The Frozen yogurt is World famous and my favorite is the plain one with fresh blueberries. Nothing better! Salads are great and roast salmon and chicken dishes and one with vegetables are terrific. Tourists love it and I'm lucky I live only 5 blocks away! You will never be disappointed here! ;-)

Yelp
Been going there for 30 years and have never had such a terrible lunch . The quality of their food has gone down hill. Spinach in the quesadillas wasn't chopped and was bitter . Yogurt was watery . Soup had huge pieces of celery in it that wasn't cooked . Their pretzel was hard as a rock . The coffee was bitter you couldn't even drink it .
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is great for eating at when at Bloomingdales. Their sandwiches and salads are delicious. For dessert, their frozen yogurt (frogurt) is the best. Prices are moderate, also, and dishes all contain some carrots, of course.

Yelp
I made a special effort to try an ice cream. My daughter behind me who was mad that I'm Yelping! I'm taking pictures while waiting for the customer ahead of me. The girl looked up and hollered at me that I'm not allowed to take pictures. With our tails between our legs we turned, embarrassed and left. Maybe I'll try another day! I got pictures though!

Yelp
The large frozen plain yogurt from Forty Carrots is THEE best frozen yogurt in the city. It is thicker then the rest has more of a yogurt flavor then the rest. Just better.

Yelp
So the price can get pretty ridiculous once you start adding toppings cuz depending on what you order it could either be $1 per topping or $2. I ended up getting just the small yogurt in a cup for $5.50 (not including tax). It was $5.99 with tax. The lady in front of me bought 2 with toppings and her order came out to around $18. They give you a very generous about of yogurt. It is in fact not small at all but actually quite a large serving. Seriously so much that you'll struggle to finish it. I felt so sick by the time I got near the bottom of the cup. My coworker had to throw his out cuz he couldn't finish it either. In terms of the taste, I wasn't too fond of the mango flavor. They let me try whichever flavors so I got to try mango, plain and coffee. Of the three, coffee was my favorite. It tasted just like coffee ice cream. The plain was a bit tangy as per usual at any yogurt place. The chocolate was quite good. However, after you scrape through the melting mountain of froyo, you realize that it's extremely sweet. Too sweet. Not sure if I'd go back. Service was good but a little slow probably because they take good care of each customer. There are 2 lines. One for if you want to be seated and another line if you're just taking it to go. You just go up to the counter if you're ordering to go. The ladies working there was very friendly as well as helpful. They helped me decide what flavors to pick and when I couldn't decide, she told me that she could swirl the flavors for me. They give you a punch card so after you buy a certain number of froyos, you get a free one. Personally, I probably will not go back there but it was an overall good experience. Maybe next time I would opt for the cone rather than cup since they give you less yogurt in that.

Yelp
Located on Bloomingdales' 7th floor is the frozen yogurt New York is known for. I dined in for dinner on a Wednesday night. The place wasn't very full, only a couple of tables were occupied. The fresh & clean interior reminded me of LYFE Kitchen, white walls with bright orange and light green trim. Marco seemed a bit rushed when taking our orders but obliged when asked to take a photo of our table. I ordered a chicken noodle soup and chicken Caesar salad. How did I not expect all the carrots in the soup. Normally I avoid chicken noodle with lots of carrots because it results in sweet instead of savory broth. Well, that's exactly what happened. The pretzel bread was good to dip though. The soup itself had a sufficient amount of chicken. My chicken Caesar salad was exactly what I wanted: chilled crisp greens with grilled chicken, except tossed in a slightly more sour than creamy dressing. I ate all the croutons because I was so hungry. My parents enjoyed their grilled salmon with a dark green sauce. Avocado BLT sandwich was a hit because the bacon barely had any fat-- lean protein. I decided to order yogurt at the counter instead of dining in because they only serve a small size ($4 supplement/meal). I got a regular size and they really fill it up. It was $6 and each topping ranges from $1-2. Surprisingly, they put the toppings in the middle; yogurt is dispensed until almost full, toppings added, then topped off with more swirl. I got the low fat Peanut Butter flavor with mochi $1 and sliced almonds $2. After a while it got too creamy and indulgent. My sis didn't like the chocolate, too dark like ganache. Maybe I should've tried original? Overall, a healthy bite to eat with famous yogurt.

Yelp
As a FroYo aficionado, this place is on my list of top 3 places in NYC. I always get plain flavored froyo, sometimes with fruit toppings. I come here when I am craving something with a little less tart than Pinkberry's original and less creamy than soft serve ice cream. It falls perfectly in the middle. Their serving sizes are great also! I wish they were open 24/7 and had a store front.

Yelp
If you're ever surrounded by lots of retail and want a break with some nourishment, go here. The staff are helpful. The ambience is neutral. The food is alright. Of their eats I've tasted here's my review: There signature side is shredded carrots with yellow and dark raisins. It goes well with just about every sandwich and salad they serve. The froyo is yumm. If you order one, even a small one, it's huge! You can ask for a taste if you're uncertain about which flavor or if you're uncertain about trying some. The salads are pretty good except for the cold meats. Usually I wind up with a fatty or cartilage piece that makes my mouth go yuck! The sandwiches are alright too. Same as the salads, beware of the meats! The tunafish is your safest bet always. The narrow pretzel tunafish sandwiches are the best if you have a slight hankering for a salty taste as opposed to bland pita or wraps. Their coffee is really tasty. Sometimes it's so good, I drink it black. The hot cocoa is pretty good. Most of their drinks are good, even the ones sold in the refrigerated section. The tables are only as clean as the person who left it before you. Usually, I don't find anything disgusting. Sometimes crumbs or moisture from a cold drink. The chairs are alright. Comfy enough for up to 1.5hrs. Bathrooms you'll find back in retail... Ughhhh! Happy eats!

Yelp
Any restaurant that lets you sit for 10 minutes without even acknowledging you or providing a glass of water is not worth going to

Yelp
The frozen yogurt here is so good it's worth putting up with the miserable, spoiled gossip girl types that are whining loudly on the often long line here. You pretty much know what you are getting into though since this place is located on the 7th floor of Bloomingdale's. It's all miserable white families that don't talk to each other throughout their whole meals and stick-thin girls who think they can eat these massive cups of frozen yogurt since they're supposedly low fat. But I think it's like that Seinfeld episode though - there's no way this stuff can be non or low fat, it's too good. You should definitely get the small size, which is already huge, and I say that as someone that can easily put away a pint of ice cream in one sitting. The flavors are all excellent (except for the medicine-like Blueberry), but the Peanut Butter and Caribbean Coffee are definitely the best. Luckily they're so good, since there isn't much variety in flavors (Chocolate and Vanilla are the only other ones). The toppings selection and application is also pretty weak - there are limited choices, and they only put them in one layer in the middle of the yogurt, and none actually on top, hence making them a misnomer. They definitely some more nut options since all they currently have are whole walnuts and no kind of crushed nuts of any kind. The food in the restaurant is also pretty good, and there's a lunch deal that includes a nice healthy portion of the yogurt for dessert, though it is a bit overpriced and not worth putting up with the aforementioned people for the long waits on the weekends. I would highly recommend stopping in just for some yogurt though and taking it to go and getting out of there as fast as possible to eat it in peace.

Yelp
This is my first time eating at Forty Carrots. This place also offers desserts/snacks such as Frozen Yogurt. I have coffee flavor and original flavor. I love the original flavor, it tangy but has a bit of sweetness in it. For dinner we had: Duet Avocado and Crab - delicious starter and the best part of the dinner. The portion is big enough for sharing, it was light and tasty. Chicken Quesadillas - it was good, but nothing special. Chicken Mango Salad - our least favorite. The chicken was too dry and the salad was a bit bland. We also ordered raspberry smoothie. It was a bit sour but alright.

Yelp
Forty Carrots you are my weakness! Hands down my favorite fro-yo in The city. I recommend going with a friend and sharing so you dont feel AS gulity shoveling down all that frozen goodness.. even though you STILL might not want to share. The portions are EXTRA EXTRA LARGE, so even the most gluttonous among us wont be seeing red everytime their friend goes in for a spoonful! i might or might not be speaking about myself there... To do: ASK for a forty carrots yogurt club card! Every 7th frozen yogurt, you get one FREE! Flavors to Try: -Their Tart orginal flavor: nicely light and sweet with the perfect amount of tang, exactly how good frozen yogurt should be. - Peanut Butter- when they have this falvor option- go for it! Always a save bet - Coffee- SO creamy! one of my favorites! Mixing two flavors when you go here is also a must, i dont usually get any toppings because you simply dont need them. Why take away from the main act, right? My only problem with this location is that there is such limited seating, sometimes you have to stand which really takes away from the fro-yo eating experience. Forty Carrots is still 5-stars all the way though, even if there was no seating ever.

Yelp
Had a quick lunch while shopping. Tried the beet salad, chicken noodle soup. Service was great and the server refilled the hot water for tea so I could have an extra cup. Pleasant, clean, 2020 socially distant space and great lunch.
