First things first. There is nothing around this hotel. The hotel is basically the attraction of the surrounding area. So if you're not prepared to spend $100 per person for dinner at the hotel restaurant, make sure to buy groceries prior to arrival. Despite this, the hotel is wonderful, and I understand why people love it so dearly. Our room was not ready upon our check-in time, and there was a stain on one of the blankets when we entered our room. The bathroom was gorgeous, and the room had a lot of space, but my travel partner and I had some opposing opinions on the beds. The breakfast was pretty superb and even catered a bit toward American tourists with the addition of eggs, bacon, and sausage. Also loved the walking trail to the waterfall nearby. I'd recommend 100%, but just make sure to prepare yourself. We didn't.
