A New Portland Pop-Up Is Recreating Food From Ancient Rome | Eater Portland

"A food-cart pod returning to the same lot on SE Foster Road and 52nd Avenue after the previous iteration (Carts on Foster) closed in 2023; it is reopening under new ownership, has room for 20 carts, and will include a covered stage for music, stand-up, and other performances (Bridgetown Bites reports)." - Harry Cheadle

Foster Food Carts they just did open a couple weeks ago very nice place with a lot of room I heard more updates coming. We went with my family this week and we had the fish and chips and also Mexican food, both of them were delicious. They do have sitting area with covered area and heaters as well. For sure, we will be back.

So happy the food cart pod is back. And it feels even better. 2 heated tent areas with a bar truck in one of them. Good food options and it seems more are coming. Excited to have this in the neighborhood.

I hope you have plans for the fence, obviously the parameter fence has nothing to do with the quality of food coming from the carts, however it does impact the vibe. Right now it kind of feels a little prison-y, especially with the tent camps nearby. I really like Heist over on Woodstock, that’s a model to replicate.

Foster Food Carts, now under new owner and management, has a great family centric atmosphere and even has its own children's play area! At least 4 of the carts are on Portland's best carts lists. Live music is provided on Saturday evenings and a local artisans Saturday market is on the first Saturday of each month (weather providing). We are quickly becoming a Foster Powell neighborhood favorite. Come join the fun and follow the Foster Food Cart Instagram page for up coming events! Dog (pet) friendly!

So happy to see the Foster food carts open again! Love seeing the improvements made every time I go. There’s a kid play structure now that my daughter loves.

Dang, it's near impossible to approach this place. If you actually are arriving in a four wheeled vehicle, I tried three different angles, and I was prevented by weird signs and roadblocks. I just kept driving by finding out more easily accessible place. I can't be the only one trying to approach with the vehicle where in the world am I supposed to park

Yelp
When I found out the foster cart pods were making a come back, I shedded a few tears of joy. My best friend organized a Sunday lunch gathering since they lived close by. I parked in my usual spot in the neighborhood and checked out the latest offerings. The only cart I recognized was the egg cart. I was tempted but also wanted to try something new. There is plenty of seating spread out and I loved that. They still serve beer and it's inside a tented area with additional seating. I felt at ease and not claustrophobic like some other pods that have opened recently. The food we had and the service delivered was stellar. I loved what I had and I cannot wait to return, cheers!

Yelp
This is a soft opening of the food cards. The grand opening is May 17th which is coming up fast. Don't miss it. They have a different variety of food carts, and they are nicely spaced apart. There are also a couple of heated tents that you can sit inside and plenty of tables outside. Parking is not an issue as there is plenty of street parking around the area. We came in a bit late so many of the carts were closed.

Yelp
They're back and they're even better! Great selection of great good. Great tap-tent with great beer selection. If you are trying to figure out what to eat tonight, come here. You won't be disappointed!
