FOUND Hotel Chicago, River North

Location : 10/10 - a short walk to a huge selection of destinations Bed: 20/10 - like sleeping on coziness itself. Be ready for that DEEP sleep. Cleanliness : 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 - you immediately feel like you've discovered something. Price : 9/10 This hotel is a hidden treasure. I got the twin bunkbed room with my daughter. The room was very cost-effective. The room was small but does not have a microwave or fridge, which was a bit frustrating once noticed. The bathroom was luxurious in space and positioning. The blinds do a great job at blocking out light, which is fabulous. The AC was super powerful and kept us so comfortable. The Room was very clean. The bed was fabulously soft. It was the best night sleep I had had in a long time. The pillows were soft, and the mattress was a hidden luxury I had not expected, it's comfort was hard to escape. We did not have much interaction with the staff, but what we did was pleasant and swift.

Southwest Airlines recommended this hotel.|I do not recommend The Found Hotel in Chicago at this time, mostly because of upper management and investors above the hotel manager.||How do I describe the Found? A step up from a hostel/dorm, but a step below even a basic hotel like Motel 8 or Hilton. It lacks identity, it does not know what it wants to be. The owners just want money, coin op laundry has a higher rate of return and lower start-up cost. The marketing on their website is far from reality.||They are repurposing old buildings great. However, since for-profits want to recoup investments asap I feel like I am in an incomplete renovation and being charged as if it is brand new and complete. For a few bucks more one could stay at a Hilton.|||The website has no details on accommodations|No cups for water|No hand soap|Views are non-existent|The AC unit has a really bad coil whine|Everything next to the hotel is closed|Room service clearly isn’t done every day, second day here as of writing this, and could clearly tell my room had not been touched by the cleaning staff. Bath towels were not replaced. I know they have cleaning staff I’ve seen them.||The Found is more of a hostel or a dorm, and it needs to market itself as such and charge like one too.||Staff and general manager are friendly and accommodating and in tight spot with what seems little to no support from national. I feel like the Found is in a soft opening phase, as they are willing to hear feedback. I’d like this to succeed but they got to set the expectations and value for money right at the webpage. If one can’t get a sense of the accommodations walk away.||If you smoke pot there is a dispensary across the street |They don’t charge for Wi-fi|I don’t watch TV, so I didn’t check that||I may amend the review at the end of my trip, if things improve that is only fair. The photos by others don't lie it really does feel like a dorm.

The staff it's awesome. They're always with a good attitude and happy to help. I appreciate their service so much. Accomodations are also clean and nice. Bed it's comfortable. Loved the kitchen that it's really well organized and guests can share their food if they want. There's also a laundry and a living room to rest. Definitely recommend!

The rooms in the photos looked much better. The actual room was extremely small. There were not enough shelves in the bathroom. There was no toilet lid and no shower door—just a curtain that was falling down. The furniture arrangement in the room was not reasonable. And air conditioning was dripping and sheets wasn’t looking clean either. There was very little space for two people. We paid $650 for two nights.

The hotel is great. Room is comfortable, clean and spacious. The service is excellent, I got all the help and information I needed, all my requests were handled promptly and professionally. Nothing else to say, really, my stay was very pleasant and the location provided me with great opportunities to explore the heart of the city while having a great place to relax and wind off.

My first time here , excellent service my room was airy lots of light from windows, super clean n tidy bunk beds were very comfortable sheets are clean . Courtney and Brian and Tanisha delivered an excellent customer service, they all made sure I was pleased with my room n asked if I needed anything, Courtney she even walked me up to my room n made sure I was satisfied with the view The hotel surpassed all my expectations, all staff were friendly and accommodating Hotel has fully equipped kitchen Totally I recommend found hotel to Chicago guests.

Let me start off by saying I never leave reviews in hotels but this place was not as marketed. The room did not look like any of the pics online, everything dirty and outdated. The sheets were dirty and the mattress was smaller than the frame so you saw dirt and dust all along the headboard bed frame. There was a bug flying around in the room that I couldn’t tell what exactly it was. The front desk was horrible when I asked for clarification on instructions the person said that other people understand how he’s explained it before. They don’t have somebody up front consistently to ask questions. You are suppose you to text any questions or concerns back to the number they sent you messages from. I stayed there less than an hour deciding if I could just make the room work for me for the night and I was not comfortable with the state of the room. I texted the number I leaving and did not need the room and I never received a response back. When I left nobody was at the desk anymore and people were waiting to be check in. In the morning I was sent a message as to when I wanted to check out which told me the messaging system clearly did not work. Update: I was able to talk to the general manager and he cleared things up for me. He was wonderful to talk to and completely understood my experience. I appreciate him reaching out and trying to make it right. He let me know the room I received and my front desk experience is not one that reflects their brand.

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at. Cost us about $80 for two nights and honestly just found this place through Google hotels. The communal kitchen with all supplies stocked is a great asset to this building. The bar/lounge areas were also well decorated and curated. Could see this being a great work-from-home spot as well if you need the space. Location is excellent, we were walking distance to a lot of the places we planned to go to. This was such a memorable experience and the details of this stay are imprinted in my mind. What a beautifully done place! And our room was clean with no complaints
