Good location during the day, but be back before 9pm or you will have to pass groups of homeless people. The rooms were clean, the service nice and they had all the amenities you would expect from a Hotel in this price range. The rooms they offer are on the smaller side, that's what I would recommend you double check. The service isn't the best at turning off the tsunami alarm, but given that a tsunami warning happens like once every ten years, it's understandable.

Personal experience: Stayed here for 2 nights last year, and this place is a very good hotel. My family of 4 (including myself) got a room with 2 bunk beds. When we walked in, the room was on the smaller end, with everything feeling a little tight. However, it was all very clean, modern, and comfortable. The bunk beds were no different, and the bathroom was very nice too. Since we were in the bustling downtown core of the city, we expected a lot of noise. However, the walls are soundproof and the hotel is on a rather less busy street, making for a good night's sleep. This hotel also has the amenities that you would expect any other hotel to have, like ice machines, a kitchen, spaces to eat and relax, and bathrooms. The staff is also super friendly and nice. Best of all, prices are within the $100 dollar range per night no matter the room. Location: This hotel is in close proximity to many big SF places, like Union Square, the Powell Street cable car, various shopping centers and restaurants, the Ferry building, and more. It is also very close to the Powell St BART and MUNI station, which provides easy access to the rest of the city and a 15-20 minute ride to San Francisco International Airport. Overall I highly recommend FOUND Hotel as it is an affordable and clean place to stay.

Unpleasant stay & would not recommend. I was given a bunk bed instead of a twin room like I booked, which was uncomfortable. The room was unclean and had a bad smell that wouldn’t go. The bathroom had limescale and mould in the shower. It was very dark as the window was internal so there was no natural light - not like the pictures the hotel has posted at all. The sink was not in the bathroom but by the front door which was odd and unhygienic. It was very noisy as you could hear other residents making a racket for hours in the lounge due to the internal window which clearly wasn’t soundproofed. They took a $300 deposit which was excessive considering the abysmal quality of the room and the short length of the stay. There were homeless people everywhere in the area and it felt unsafe. Very overpriced for a shabby, dingy and dirty hotel. The only 2 positives I can think of are that the AC worked well and that the transport links nearby were convenient.

I had an amazing 2 nights stay at Found hotel. The room was clean, confortable, spacious. The hotel provides facilitiea as a locker room to store your luggage before check-in and after the check-out; shared kitchen to get coffee/tea, reheat your meals or store them in the fridge; self service laundry. Metro station is a one minute walk - you can get from and to the airport directly within 30 min. The staff, especially Asal, were all very helpful and kind.

Stayed here last night for one night. Never felt more unsafe at a hotel. The streets surrounding the hotel are full of homeless people who are shouting throughout the night. I couldn’t step out onto the street and feel safe in the area. I do understand this is not the hotels fault. The rooms are the size of a shoebox and i was given a room with a massive window facing the street which did not lock. At around 5pm a random pair of men were knocking on my door and trying to open it. They continued knocking and trying other people’s doors on the same level. as a younger women i felt super unsafe so i went down to reception to ask for a room change as it was too unsafe and too late to leave the hotel. I told her there was a pair of men trying to get into peoples rooms as well as the window making me feel unsafe. She was incredibly rude, offered no reassurance what so ever but did in fact change my room. Not that it mattered as at 10pm someone tried to break into my room again and also later into the evening. My friends I’m travelling with also stayed the night at the hotel but in a different room on the level below. They experienced the same thing with someone trying to get into their room at least 3 times throughout the night. Seems as though this is a regular thing and doesn’t raise concern to workers of the hotel. Extremely disappointing and traumatic experience. Do not stay here. If i could give it 0 stars i would.

In July 25 my family and I stayed at the Found Hotel as part of out trip in the USA. We stayed two nights and 3 days and the facilities themselves looked very clean and staff were friendly. Unfortunately there was an issue with both our rooms of " cold showers". I mentioned the issue after the first shower and was told it would be investigated and it continued the entire stay. At the end of our stay we were promised a 20% refund on our booking but nothing has been forthcoming. Also the sinks in the main room do not have a plug to hold water, which makes it harder to shave as a male. And one mattresses on the bottom bunk, as you enter the room on the left hand side had a distinct urine smell.|Things happen and we understand that. But as an ex-business owner if you are going to say you are going to do something about the issue you need to do it.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5–10 minute walk from the bus and metro stations. However, I didn’t find the surrounding streets very safe to walk at night, as there were many homeless people wandering around, and the area was quite dirty with a strong smell of urine. That being said, the room itself was nice and clean. There is also a common area on the second floor where guests can refill water, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and use the washing and drying machines, which is very convenient. The staff were very helpful—when we requested an extra blanket, they were happy to assist. Additionally, the hotel offers day luggage storage with a locker room, which is another convenient feature.

Had a very wonderful stay here rooms where unique and clean, shower was amazing. Location was very convenient. Staff was very nice and friendly. The gm helped us check in and answered every question we had. One and only bad thing is the parking situation. But its not really their faults.
