Foundation Brewing Company - Review - Riverton - Portland, ME - The Infatuation

"Drinking a beer at Allagash Brewing Company while waiting in line for a fantastic lobster roll from the Bite Into Maine truck is basically a Portland rite of passage. But once you’ve finished your food more quickly than you hoped you would, head across the street to Foundation Brewing. We like the beers here more, especially when it’s nice enough to drink a flight outside." - Team Infatuation

9 Best Breweries in Portland, Maine | Condé Nast Traveler

"Foundation is rare in the crowded craft brewery space because its core set of beers really do have good options for everyone. IPA, pilsner, brown ale—Foundation succeeds with all of them. Try something from the barrel-aged cellar series if you really want to see the brewers get creative, though. If you have any questions, just ask the staff: Foundation was started by self-described brewing geeks focused on the science of beer, and they're happy to share their knowledge." - Noah Kaufman

Loved this brewery. Great vibe, friendly service and great beer options. The epiphany IPA and raspberry sour were two of our favorites but we enjoyed everything we tasted. The pizza is a must try. Thick crust with a mildly sweet sauce and super crunchy crust because it crusty cheese. Definitely worth a visit or two.

Google
Foundation is our favorite Portland brewery. The beer is wide ranging and excellent. On our visit December 28, Travis, Caitlin and Lindsay were a great in helping us choose beers and engaging in beer talk with us, a couple tourists from western Massachusetts. The music is upbeat but not overpowering and the pizza is really good! The locals at the bar also recommend the big pretzel. Did I mention how good and wide ranging the beer is?!?!

Melynda Antonucci

Google
The beer is top notch. Epiphany is my favorite ipa ever. Just tried the pizza today- will def be ordering that again! The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings so tasty

We did 2 flights. All 8 beers were outstanding! Were bummed with beers across the street, then wondered here. So glad we did. This brewery is now on my Mt Rushmore of New England Breweries. Staff & facility warm/friendly. Food avail as well. Love it & will be coming back next time in ME.

Google
What a great Detroit style pizza! We ordered a Pepperoni and a Mushroom Bacon. Both were outstanding. Cheese all the way to the edge and a crispy crust that's delicious. Nice cup pepperoni that's spicy, and the sauce is delicious...i enjoy that the edge of the crust is pure cheese crisped to the pan.

Google
Wonderful brewery with great staff and beer, the Detroit style square pizza is no gimmick, the crunchy cheesy edges are worth it alone but the rest of the pie is also delicious, also just over the road from Allagash and has it's own outdoor area when the sun shines. Excellent merch as well. All on ground level and easily accessible.

Google
Foundation is the best brewery around as they do it all. Their food is fantastic (I don’t even understand how their wings are THAT good), beers are tasty and worthwhile, and their staff has always been exceptionally kind and informative. Highly recommend!

Google
Foundation Brewing is a fantastic delight. We had the opportunity to meet one of the four owners tonight and she was so friendly. Tina runs the tasting room, if you see her while you're enjoying the beer or pizza... make sure to ask her some questions about her hometown (Detroit, MI) or how Foundation Brewing came to be a local micro-brew. The pizza is a light, fluffy and crunchy exploration in all the best ways you could imagine. I think this brewery is getting the absolute most out of what space they have to work with and their staff is so friendly/helpful/patient. I'm committing myself to returning over and over and being (hopefully) a regular :) 10/10 would recommend to anybody in and around the Portland/Westbrook city line.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorites but, with so many awesome breweries in Portland, I almost forgot about this little gem. The Wednesday night trivia brought me back and the delicious and large tap list to choose from keeps me coming back. Epiphany was my first favorite double IPA and it still tastes amazing! I also really fond of the Riverton Flyer, a German Pilsner style.

Yelp
Came in for a beer tasting and some Detroit style pizza. The front staff lady was super helpful and gave us some great suggestions. Indoor and outdoor seating and amazing pizza and cheesy bread- I need them to serve this stuff in VA. We liked the stout and some of the lagers. Also got a Rice Krispie and it was magical. This places food shines.

Yelp
First adventure into craft beer drinking with Foundation Brewing and it was okay. The Torte Spectacular was the beer I had. A Milk Sweet Stout which I normally like but this one was just too sweet. Flavors involved are raspberry and cocoa. Not as heavy as I was bracing myself for the body was thin compared to other beers of this style but as I said the beer was just too sweet and the raspberries too dominating. The touch of vanilla attempts to seize a balance but I'm not so sure that it does. Probably the best way for beer drinkers who don't want a sweet, sugary beer with this one is to have it in a taster flight or perhaps schooner size if possible.

Yelp
I went to Foundation Brewery last weekend located on 1 Industrial Way #7 in Portland, ME. I not only came here to try their awesome selection of beer but to try their detroit style pizza. Detroit style pizza is typically made in a rectangular pan and has a thick crispy crust. This pizza lived up to the hype as the crust on this was cooked to perfection. We ended up getting their hot buzz pizza and adding pepperoni. They have quite a number of different pizza options and you can customize to your liking. The hot buzz pizza had mushrooms, roasted garlic, gorgonzola and hot honey. The roasted garlic pieces were amazing! If you are a garlic fan like myself you'd be in heaven with this pizza 9/10. For beer we got a flight and my personal favorite was the raspberry my jam. I'm a sour lover when it comes to beer so that is all personal preference for me! Check out this spot next time you are visiting portland. Industrial way has a ton of great brewery options so don't skip out on foundation! Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 6/10 Affordability: 6/10

Yelp
We went to Foundation Brewing a while ago. We were visiting friends in Portland, ME. They are known for beer selection and their Detroit Pizza. Well, the Detroit Pizza was to die for absolutely delicious! There are other micro breweries in this area to eat and drink at. There is parking all over. We walked a little from where we parked. About a .25 mile. The beer was very good. I like lagers and darker beer. They had both. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There were many people there on a Saturday. It was not cheap but not overly expensive. What do they say? You have to pay to play! Seating areas inside and outside. They have heaters and fire tables outside. This brewery is an old industrial park. Unique area. We had a good time. Have fun.

Yelp
a great pizza!!! Atmosphere, friendliness, all kinds of beer. Definitely need to go here

Yelp
Wonderful visit here with my husband last weekend. The customer service was amazing! Alexis and Travis were so friendly. They helped us with selecting our beers and were very knowledgeable. We ordered tacos and chorizo pizza! So good! The beer was amazing!
google avatar

Janelle M.

Yelp
We were pointed in this direction since it's dog friendly & Bissell brothers is NOT. Boo. The beer was so-so. I really enjoyed the Jam Packed Blueberry Pie sour. We were also hungry so we got the clam chowder (GF) & hot dog w/potato salad & mustard side (additional $1) The chowder was great & my husband said the hotdog bun was especially delicious but halfway through he thought it was too rich & did away with the bun. The potato salad was kind of like cold mashed potatoes, and I typically do not like raw onion in potato salad, BLAH, but it tasted like they pickled red onion in this salad & that made it much more tolerable. We liked the atmosphere, picnic tables under a tent, the pizza looked really good so I think we'd come back to try new brews & the other varieties of food.

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries to get a sour. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge beer fan but I love a good sour and foundation does the best. They always have about 2-3 sours and they are great. They have a large outside searing area and an inside area. They recently started serving Detroit style pizza and it is amazing. Some of the best pizza I have had! This is a must stop!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Foundation is the home of my favorite beers in Portland! So many juicy, fruity killer beers here, I've never had one I didn't enjoy. This summer's blueberry sour was fantastic, but I dream about the peach one from last year. Have tried the pretzel (fab) but their pizzas look divine! Appreciate the large outdoor seating area with lots of shade. A fantastic option that feels a lot more low key than the craziness of Allagash down the street.

Yelp
Why don't more places make Detroit style pizza??? It's hard to mess one up (crispy, crunchy melted cheese around the edges?!?!), but they do a really good job here. The Cheeseburger one was the special, highly recommended by the super nice lady working the taps and she was 100% correct. They also have a buffalo style, the Greek which was also fantastic, along with cheesy bread, soft pretzel, hummus, etc. The pizzas were a hit for all ages. The beer is decent. We're insanely spoiled for breweries in the area so personally I can't say it's the very best but they have a TON on draft to choose from. The Epiphany DIPA is still one of the best DIPAs in my opinion, but at 8% it's not like you can sit around drinking those all day. Super casual atmosphere, really nice staff. I will keep coming back for the pizza first and foremost and happily have a couple beers while here. It would be nice if they were able to offer more non-beer options like wine. They had a couple of their own seltzers that were okay.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Really likes it here. The beer was scrumptious and the pizza was the real deal. Being from Detroit, we have some pretty high standards for Detroit pizza. This exceeded them. A welcome surprise.
google avatar

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
So light and delicious Hefeweizen. We got a couple beers, a square pepperoni pie, and chips n dip. All fabulous. Really chill vibe. Cool building and dining area. Friendly staff who cautioned us from ordering too much food -- thank you! We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Better than a 4. But you need to decide as their lemonade brew is excellent for a warm evening. Hard to say what to try. You decide. Well worth the visit. Next to Allagash and Definitive Brewery .
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to get a major selection of micro beers. I loved the Brown Ale. A very good beer. We ate 2-Detroit style pizzas. I like plain. I know...boring. This was an absolutely delicious pizza. I am picky about pizza. This pizza had a crunchy crust delicious sauce and cheese. Everyone loved their special. Many toppings with garlic. The place was busy celebrating Oktoberfest. Plenty of parking in lot and along the street. Take credit cards. Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you want a wide variety of beers then you're at right place. The Bocce pictured here is a excellent example of an Italian Pilsner.

Steven D.

Yelp
Incredible beer and their Detroit style Pizza is the bomb. Owners are very involved and extremely knowledgeable
google avatar

Yelp
Love their jam beers and the pizza. Seriously, get over there and try it. Delish! Customer service friendly, attentive, and efficient. Great place!

Yelp
Yawn, holy crap! Has it been 5 years!? That was a long nap, what have I missed? After waking up from my hibernation, I was thirsty and Hangry! So I jumped in the Slicemobile and headed north. First stop, @foundationbrew in Portland, ME. To be honest I went to this neck of the woods in #PorlandMaine to hit up the many breweries located on Industrial Way. Foundation's only food option is Detroit style pizza. Since I have never had Detroit style, and, you know, The Golden Rule, I ordered up a cheese with mushrooms. The pizza came out looking great, see photo below and the taste was excellent. The dough was light, airy and crispy on the sides and not oily at all which can happened with deep dish style pies. As with Detroit style, the cheese was out to the edge and, as advertised, created a crispy cheese wall. There were generous spoonfuls of sauce on top of the cheese and finished with parmesan. The sauce, cheese and mushrooms where all high quality. Hard to fairly rate this given I have nothing to compare it to, that being said, this is a solid 7 out of 8 on the slice-o-meter. Combine this excellent pizza with delicious made on site craft beer and you will find yourself in pizza nirvana.

Yelp
I've only been here during the COVID 19 pandemic so only outdoor seating was available. They go above and beyond to ensure safety guidelines are met. We had to give our name and number for contact tracing and also were encouraged to wear masks when our waiters were close by. I tried the Call of the North IPA and Epiphany DIPA. Both were fantastic. The Call of the North was a very juicy IPA and the different flavors blended in very well.
google avatar

Staci H.

Yelp
So you may come here for the beer, okay, I did too but I'll be back for the pizza (and beer). Foundation is amazing, great drink options and the pizza is drool worthy. If they had more comfortable seating this would be a five star review for sure. The pizza and beer specials are amazing, they have a little bit of something for everyone. They messed up an order but did the best they could to make it right. Living within two miles of this gem makes me so incredible lucky!
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
This is a cute and semi-hidden brewery near Allagash, and in my opinion, much better. They have a small outdoor space set up to hang out at, or you can take a favorite 4 pack to go. I loved the sour I tried so much that I ended up taking home a souvenir pack myself :) My only con is the lack of flights, I like to try multiple beers since I'm not a huge beer drinker and having to buy individual drinks every time (even the smaller pours) was expensive and filled me up quickly. I would love to come back and try a few more flavors next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Julio H.

Yelp
There is a serious party vibe going on here, it feels like if the Beasty Boys opened a brewery and have "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (to Party)" on a continuous loop. It is like a big family in here. The space is sparse inside, a few tables, and the action is outside, where you find more tables. There are lots of beers to choose from, and they are pretty good.
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
This place slapped! You must come here and try the Lemonade Seltzer! It exceeded my expectations- so refreshing and enjoyable!
google avatar

JC G.

Yelp
Service was good. They're much friendlier than the joint right next to them. They have a lemon-flavored gluten-free beer which was excellent. Also had a blueberry one which was good.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
My fiancé has dubbed me a beer snob. In my personal opinion Foundation has some of the best beer brewed in the state of Maine. This location has a tasting room. They have outdoor and indoor seating. A large list of of their beers offered in different capacities to drink in house. They also offer cans to take home with. I love about a 2 hour drive from this brewery and it is well worth a stop when I am in Portland. The beer tenders are super helpful and will assist you with picking out the right beer to try, depending on your personal taste.

Yelp
Foundation Brewing has a coolness factor to it that surely brings in a wide range of craft brewery drinkers. Being that it is conveniently located in an area surrounded with craft breweries, Foundation does enough to set it apart and provide a unique experience for visitors. Foundation sets itself apart for a variety of reasons. One of them being that they always have an abundance of cans for purchasing. When I say an abundance, they always have at least eight options to buy in cans, which is rare to find in the Portland brew scene. Another way that Foundation sets itself apart from other breweries is that they always have a variety of brews to choose from. Fancy a sour? They have a couple of options for you. Love an IPA? They will have juicy, earthy, or floral varietys to choose from. Stouts? Again, they provide a great amount of options. On a recent trip, I was able to try the Let's Do Brunch stout and the Method 6 Stout. Being someone that typically loves IPAs, I couldn't resist these stout options as they seemed too good to pass up. Let's Do Brunch is a french toast stout that is exploding with cinnamon flavor, while the Method 6 was more malty. I really enjoyed both. The Epiphany IPA is also a go-to of mine. When visiting the area for craft brews, Foundation is definitely a stop that people should go to, especially given it's options that will appeal to a wide range of tastes!
google avatar

Tiara F.

Yelp
This place is always great! The location is awesome as you can walk to 3 other breweries within the same parking lot, next door and one down the block. It's was our second time here since we are from NY. We make it to Portland every few years. IPA's are our favorite and theirs are always on point and very flavorful. The staff was really nice and willing to answer any questions we had on the flavors of the beers. Definitely check this place out if you're ever in Portland!

Yelp
beers were ok, nothing special Lemonade was good. the food here basically gave me dysentery. sad.
google avatar

Giselle R.

Yelp
Delicious beers and attractive servers (especially Caitlin and Travis :) ). We had an excellent time trying some of their sour offerings in their cozy tap room. Can't wait to return!
google avatar

Prianka S.

Yelp
Unfortunately a lot of breweries are closed due to COVID or only offering takeout but this brewery definitely is open. It's in an area where there are multiple breweries you can walk to. I'm personally more of a light beer/witbier person and there wasn't too much of a selection for my taste but my boyfriend loved the extensive selection of hoppy IPAS. I got the wild ride beer and it was good. My boyfriend got the New England IPA and he loved it. This place also followed all COVID regulations and even asked for your number for contact tracing. They also ask you to put your mask back on when the server reaches your table. Overall I'm happy with my experience here.

Yelp
I stopped by here a couple of Thursday ago with my wife for some evening drinks. We arrived at Foundation Brewing right around 6:35 which was about 25 minutes before they were set to close. Thankfully the bartender didn't bat an eye at that although with about 20 minutes until close he did stop serving drinks although he would still sell you cans or growlers fills. The inside of Foundation Brewing consists of a large oddly shaped bar and some seating. Our bartender was friendly with us through our time there and we talked about different beer styles and he talked a lot about how a bunch of Belgian beers were made. There was some special admiration for some of the beers and how they were "discovered" across the street at Allagash. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Foundation Brewing that consists of 4 different beers of your choosing and I went with the Raspberry's my Jam, Burnside, Epiphany and Vivid. The first beer that I tried was the Raspberry's my jam (Tart Fruit Ale) which had the bright flavor of raspberries with a little bit of tartness at the end and was absolutely delicious. Second was the Burnside (Brown Ale) which had some caramelly flavor up front before a little smokiness on the finish. Up third was the Epiphany (Maine IPA) and from that I got some carbonation at the front before the citrus and pine jumped in and there was a nice and light bitter finish. Last but certainly not least was the Vivid (DIPA) which had a nice and bright citrusy flavor up front with a smooth finish. Out of the bunch I think the Raspberry's My Jam was my favorite and that it also had the most fun name as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed all of the beers that I tried and also appreciated talking to the bartender about their beers and other breweries as well.
google avatar

Erica D.

Yelp
Good stop for a quick beer, only 4 stars because they don't offer flights. We really prefer to try more than one beer, while not getting too crazy, and not offering them or half pours makes that harder. That said S'more Love was awesome!
google avatar

Joanna R.

Yelp
LOVE: the beer, the merchandise, the newly renovated location LIKE: the people (I do love some of them) HATE: the parking I really do like Foundation a lot. I even take the time to stalk them on Social Media to find out when my favorite beers are being released. (I love Venture and Epiphany.) Parking - the lot...don't even try on a release day. Pretty much you have to park along the street at Industrial way or if you are shopping at Allagash - you can always walk over too. I don't mind in the summer - but Winter...parking is pretty annoying. (Hence the minus one star) Foundation continues to up their game. Newly renovated space at the end of 2016. New ticket system to keep things orderly and customers warm when there is a line for a new release. Space inside to wait, drink and shop. They always have fun music playing, that just makes you want to dance. If you want a taste or a few tasters you can walk right up to the counter to purchase some for immediate consumption - On busy days it may be hard to find a spot to set down a flight, so you might consider buying one glass at a time so you can stand and be mobile with your beer. There are a couple of picnic tables inside, but rarely have I gone in and seen them being efficiently used by customers. Share people...it's the nice thing to do. :) If you want to buy beer there is a separate line and process, especially on release day. You can buy cans, growlers and bottled beer pretty easily. They do take credit cards - so buy away! All in all - one of my top 5 favorite brewers in Maine - Yes, I will keep coming back.
google avatar

Jacqui C.

Yelp
After visiting Allagash Brewing up the street we decided to stop by this place. Though I don't remember the names of the beer I had on tap, they were all decent. They also have a 'to go' menu for growlers only, which is interesting. The music was a little loud, but decent. Foundation Brewing is one of the many breweries sitting on Industrial Way, like Allagash. I think this is turning I to a little Brewery District!
google avatar

Chanda R.

Yelp
The environment is very nice and the space is beautiful. However I didn't like any of the 8 samples that we tried. My Bf who usually loves anything "beer" only liked 2. But it's a nice place to try if you are in the area.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Fresh, YES. Canned & from the cooler, dated a month or more, OH NOOO. Great place and staff, fun place to have some freshness, but please don't push old cans at new fresh can prices.
google avatar

Caleb M.

Yelp
Another brewery review from me and another 5 star brewery review. Easy to keep them coming with all the quality breweries in Maine. I like to think of Foundation Brewing as kinda underrated/forgotten at times. Being in the location sometimes called Industri-ALE Way there is a lot of choice. While some of the other breweries nearby may be higher profile names or more hyped up, make sure to stop here. They brew a very wide variety of styles ranging from; stouts/porters to different lagers, to hazy and old school IPAs, to fruit forward sours, as well as barreled aged brews. While I have had a beer or two that were not my favorite from them, the majority of the time I have been happy with my purchased beers here. The staff is extremely friendly and there to help you pick out a beer to your liking if you need a recommendation. They have two different pour sizes with 4oz pours at $2.50 and 10oz for $5. If you haven't tried any of their beers though I recommend a flight which is four 4oz pours for $10 then pick your favorite for a full pour. Lastly they always have a nice variety of 4-pack cans and bottles available to take home. Another quality Portland brewery that is a must visit for anyone in the area.

Yelp
Sweet little brewery on beer row. Simple, friendly with tasty brews. The Dunkle was divine. There's a food truck on site.
google avatar

Joe C.

Yelp
The Pop Music Brewery I'll be honest my opinion might have been a little tainted coming over from across the street at the Allagash brewery!! Over all this brewery is fun a little expensive!! The beer was good but not great and the service was fair!! The location is great because it is in the middle of five other brewery's!!! Not a bad place to spend a little time!! Thanks
google avatar

Courtney C.

Yelp
I am loving me some Foundation Brewing Company. I actually enjoy drinking the beers here! (disclaimer: not the biggest beer fan) The variety and selection is great and even someone like me can find beers that taste good and are enjoyable. Even the staff aren't too shabby and friendly enough :) One of the biggest perks for me is the outdoor area and the proximity to all of the other breweries in walking distance. OH AND I CAN BRING MY DOG!!! It doesn't get better than this in Maine in the summer. Food trucks often frequent the parking lot as well. Keep the fun coming and so will the locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
I like to call Foundation a whoops, look what I found kind of place. We were heading to Bissell brothers and Allagash with some good friends (who are brewers in Knoxville, TN) and I had no idea that this little place was sitting right next to Bissell. I dove into the creamy and delicious stout here at Foundation and loved the fact that I sat amongst the huge drums that were brewing the nectar of the gods having great conversations and enjoying the craft beverages. All three of the people I was with were ecstatic about each different flavor that they were drinking. the only hard part of the situation was the fact that last call came in while the sun was still shining and we wanted to partake in more of this delicious amazingness. The good thing is that after we closed this brewery out, we walked over to Austin Street (was the last to stay open). If you are looking at having some tasty wares and play some games, they have a set of corn hole boards out front in the roped off area for you to chuck some bags. Even though I think I would much rather just sit and have good beer, good conversation and good times. Again, much like all three of the establishments sitting in inudstrial park, this place is a great inexpensive way to drink and support local business at the same time!!
google avatar

Becky D.

Yelp
LOVED THIS PLACE! We happen to stumble upon it while visiting Allagash. It sits in a building with a couple of other breweries and a couple of eateries. There's seating inside and out. The look of the place is awesome. They had quite a bit on tap and you can do flights. They have canned and bottled beer to go. There's a small souvenir spot to the left when you come in. The place was clean. There was an iPad to order food of some sort. The bartender was incredibly friendly! She was super nice and informative of the beers. I highly recommend checking them out while in town.
google avatar

Chone S.

Yelp
Foundation has some great beers and some average beers. The location is great, they allow dogs, cover from the sun, and food trucks. What else would you need from a brewery? The staff is friendly and helpful.
google avatar

B E.

Yelp
Good variety of beers. Nice interior and outdoor seating area. Definitely try the sours if you like that kind of beer!
google avatar

Jacey R.

Yelp
Great brews, great staff. Foundation Brewing Company has a lovely and large tasting room attached to it's brewery. They had some really interesting things on tap (a Brown Sour? Awesome!) and a nice variation of IPAs. The staff was knowledgable and quick - we got a 4 pack of canned Venture (a bright, hoppy, and citrusy IPA) to go. When we cracked them open at home the next week - they were incredibly fresh and tasted the same as on tap at the brewery.
google avatar

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Solid selection of IPAs and sours! The redesigned space allows for busy summer days while not feeling crowded. They have a huge outdoor seating area and typically have a food truck outside. They sell cans, bottles and growler fills to go and also have a big merch selection. Definitely check Foundation and the other nearby breweries out!
google avatar

Shanan G.

Yelp
We stumbled upon Foundation while visiting Allagash and I'm so glad we did! It's a smaller brewery but the beers pack a big flavor. It was really busy and there weren't many places to sit, but we stood at the counter and chatted with the guy behind who really seemed to enjoy being there. There was someone making empanadas while we were there but he had run out of everything but cheese. I don't recall the names, but we both enjoyed our beers a lot. I'll definitely be back this summer when they open up the big door to let some light in and add some space. Don't miss this brewery if you're hopping around to them all!
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
This place is soooooooo hipster. Think about a sea of Bean Boots, plaid shirts, beards and dogs. That is Foundation Brewing Company. They have the best craft beers in Maine. Their IPA Epiphany is sooo good. They always have a good variety of styles of beer including sours, ales, stouts and pilsners. They do a great tasting flight. Weekends can get extremely busy to the point where you can't sit down or find a place to stand outside... let alone park your car. Usually there are food trucks there on weekends so adds to the hipster experience!
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
The staff is really nice and friendly. The music is good and doesn't overpower conversations. Plenty of seating so good for a group. The beers are good. I had purple berry jam and fruit punch jam, both solid sours. Definitely stop in before or after Allagash for a more chill and quiet brewery.
