"Founders opened in the 90's and has grown to become one of the most recognized independent breweries in the U.S. One advantage of visiting is to try the three beers that are only available at the brewery. Stop by if you love great beer, giant sandwiches, and local live entertainment." - Carnevale

"The state’s largest brewery and the one that helped elevate Grand Rapids onto the world brewing stage, Founders is pretty widely known to beer drinkers. Founders is now one of the biggest breweries in the nation, thanks to All Day IPA, the best-selling craft can in America, and Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS). The company also has a taproom in Detroit’s midtown. Masks are no longer required in the taprooms." - Monica Williams

Founders is one of the best breweries in the state of Michigan and I think they have perfect the art of brewing. It is amazing to see how much work and research and development go into brewing high-quality beer. The taproom is pretty chill place to drink and have some good food. Definitely come check this place out and support your local breweries ❤️🙏

Second time visiting, and it's a nice spot for lunch. Tried their chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, just not for me. Everyone else enjoyed their burgers and salads. I recommend trying out their beers by ordering a flight. We went around 3 and didn't have to wait. Service is friendly, really no complaints

3.7/5 Star. Unfortunately, I remember when this was the place to be! My GF wanted to go there! So we did. We ordered 3 appetizers and two drinks. The server was absolutely excellent, and the drinks were cold, fresh, and outstanding! The problem came in when we ordered food. We ordered chicken wings, meatballs, and beer cheese dip! The meatballs and cheese dip went great and tasted great! The issue I had was the chicken wings. We had ate 3 of them and after the 3rd one (and something long stuck in her teeth) We looked at the wings... they had the feathers still in them. It wasn't like it was 1 or 2 there. It was ALOT ON 1 WING. then there were 2 or 3 in other wings... I said we are pretty full from the other food and 3 wings, and I was told the order is already being remade. And I didn't even have the option not to get the food again. (We had no way to get it home on the scooters). So we had to leave it outside the place and go home. Refunds didn't seem to be an option. We had no way to bring them home. Nor did it seem like they cared.

The beer was good, but the food was fairly average. Although the place is spacious with many open tables, we were seated outside despite the cool weather, and the heaters were not functioning. Our server was preoccupied with sweeping and not very attentive, so it took a while to get another drink.

First time here after being a fan of the brews for a long time. The store is great and has tons of cool swag! Brews on tap list is very robust, leaving you to decide how many you want before it’s time to go. Food was great… The best part, was the awesome customer service, the staff were top notch. Seated right away on a Saturday night. Short wait for order. Short wait for food. The store staff were super helpful answering questions. Great job Founders, your service matches your brew quality!

Stopped by here on our way home to Chicago. This place is massive and has lots of drink options. I ordered the Tropical Fate—a fruit beer with pineapple, lime, and coconut. It’s refreshing and delicious. I also ordered the Korean Gochujang wings and they are to die for. So glad we stopped by!

Great place to stop for lunch on our way Up North. We love the vibe (especially after the new renovations), the food (salads w/added protein are superb) and we always sample the new, seasonal brews with a flight. The new menu has some old favorites but lots of new choices including brewed cocktails that sound marvelous.
