Founding Farmers King of Prussia

I had a very disappointing experience at Founding Farmers with my family. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. First, there were no gluten-free options, which made dining very difficult. On top of that, there is no kids menu, which is surprising for a restaurant that appears family-oriented. The food quality was very poor. We ordered chips with guacamole, salsa, and cheese pepper, and the guacamole clearly wasn’t fresh—parts of it were dark. When I informed the waitress, instead of replacing the entire plate, they only brought a small side of guacamole on a smaller plate, which was disappointing. The replacement guacamole was even worse: extremely chunky, with very large pieces of onion and much spicier. Guacamole should be smooth and well-prepared, not full of chunks. The nachos were not good, the salsa tasted more like pasta sauce, and the fries were very dark, as if overcooked or old. I also ordered the shrimp fettuccine pasta, which was overpriced for the portion size, food quality, and level of service. The bathrooms were extremely dark and dirty. The lighting was so low it felt like being inside a cave. On top of that, the water to wash your hands was extremely cold and barely running, even when the faucet was turned all the way on. Overall, between the lack of menu options, poor food quality, high prices, and dirty, poorly maintained bathrooms, this was a very bad experience. I would not recommend this restaurant

This is a super cool place, with fresh, delicious goods. They do not have many gluten free options, but the staff is trained on what is cross contaminated and what is safe. Also that 2019 margarita is my new fav and I look forward to coming to the area again to have a few. I had the steak frites, they were cooked perfectly, no fat. Tender and juicy. And we went back before we left and I had the enchiladas. Chicken was tender, flavorful sauce and a great cold mixed veggie dish that was unique. I feel there is a great story behind the sign too...I have a few from work who could be behind this, but they claim they havent been in this area before lol

Our server was incredible, I believe his name was “Edison”. He was super knowledgeable of the expansive menu. The drinks were all hand crafted with homemade liquor and our cocktails were PERFECT. Presentation, taste and buzz was top tier. The food is on another level as well. Everything being farm raised, fresh from farm to table was true in each bite. The flavors and quality is worth every cent. As dramatic as it may sound it was one of my favorite meals I’ve had out to eat. I had the chicken enchiladas and Chimichurri skirt steak (medium rare). It came with some pickled veggies. My husband got the steak and potatoes with broccoli. He ate every last bite. We will be back to try brunch !

A great tavern with a very wide menu! A lot of different options, but I highly recommend to stick with the simple dishes; think home cooked and locally sourced. Trust in their sourcing! The tuna wontons were delicious and the tuna was pleasantly meaty and spiced nicely! The skirt steak was good, a bit stringy but had a lovely sweetness and was cooked perfectly to temperature. The chocolate experience was very silly but tasty! Basically it was their take on all of the main candy bars! All of which were much more tasty than their big box candy bar comparators! Definitely a great place to visit.

If I could give the service six stars, I would. Christopher, our server was genuinely friendly, attentive, and helptul without hovering which is rare and so appreciated. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the breakfast tacos and the Southwest pan scramble, and both were packed with flavor and came out lightning fast. You can tell everything is made with care hearty portions, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated. And let's talk about the brûléed grapefruit for a second. Because wow. It's one of those bites that makes you go quiet for a minute just to savor it. Sweet, tart, caramelized perfection. Between the cozy vibe, quick service, and food that actually lives up to the hype, this place has officially earned a permanent spot on my "must-return" list.

The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. I'm not from the area, but I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Rachel P. was amazing, so friendly and attentive & she made our dinner even more enjoyable. I had the chicken salad on the orange and cranberry bread with fries and it was honestly one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve ever had. We also tried the spicy tuna appetizer, 10/10! Before we left, I picked up some chocolate from the front for my boyfriend. The manager was super friendly and personable. He even let us sample one of the truffles to see what the filling was. Such a great experience from start to finish.

Their fries are the BEST shoestring with the right amount of salt as always! I tried the new chickpea veggie burger, and while I thought it was good, I'm not certain the tartar sauce was the right combo for it, or it was lacking in paprika - it needs more paprika for certain. I asked for a side of their Louie sauce, as the heat from the cumin wasn't truly my thing. You need to like cumin to enjoy this, as it's definitely different from their former veggie beet burger which was my all time favorite here! All their burgers here are good though, honestly! I wish they'd bring back the old veggie burger, as it reminded me of a big mac, but much, much nicer and better! Soft pretzels changed from sticks to the old school style, and while they were still good, I found they didn't taste exactly the same as before... I think they were slightly over done, but we LOVE the 3 varied sauces they come with, which make them unique. Hands down, they still make the BEST Arnold palmer here! Candace, our server, was FANTASTIC! She answered all our questions and helped us adjust to the new menu changes. I hope we have the pleasure of her service again, as she was truly kind!

Food was delicious as usual. Very busy on a Monday at lunch and I don't think they were anticipating it was going to be busy. Seems like they didn't have enough servers but overall, they were OK. The food was amazing as usual, fresh, so many choices, and delicious!

I've been here twice for work lunches and I like it. I appreciate that all the food is local, and there are plenty of plant based options. Service is always great, and it's a nice space - although not always friendly for larger patrons. I sat at a high top last time and felt like I was hanging out into the isle. I don't know if I would choose to go here on my own. I feel like for the price I'm paying, I want a fuller plate. The dessert is good though.

This was not my first time dining at Founding Farmers, but it was my first time here for lunch. We have celebrated a number of things here over the years with dinners and brunches and the food is consistently good. For lunch, I had the Pimento BBQ Burger, and a slice of key lime pie. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy. And full of a great balance of flavors. The cheese had a great bite and wasn't overwhelmed by the bbq sauce. The burger was served with fries, and they were some of the best I've ever had. The pie was delicious as well. Perfectly tart with a sweet crust, and a cloud-like whipped top. The service here is always good, but can be a bit slow. It's a very large restaurant with multiple rooms and I imagine the servers can get a bit bogged down. The restaurant itself has 2 floors with a bakery downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. The space is very well done and has multiple rooms with different design themes. It's clear that great care was taken with putting the space together

I had a business dinner there with a colleague and was seated at a small 2 person table. While I can understand them wanting to preserve the tables for larger groups, I was surprised to see that there were only couples at all the other tables of four. The restaurant was not very crowded with many empty tables. If I had had to do it all over again, I would've asked to be reseated. I have been to the one in DC, which was very good. This is a very good location, although it can be crowded in the parking lot. The service was good, but nothing distinctive. We did have one of the servers come by who could not understand when we had asked for more water. Not sure why anyone would have someone who cannot speak English in a customer facing role. The food was good. I have the mahi-mahi, which was a little dry and covered with sauce, which made up a difference in flavor. The deviled eggs were very bland and didn't taste like they were eggs. Probably too much mayonnaise although the bacon bits were notable. The raw tuna bites were very good however.

Very cool farm to table restaurant in the upscale King of Prussia Town Center. They had a great cocktail list, and tons of food options. I got the chicken pot pie, which was very unique with a very thick puff pastry topping crust. Seemed like everyone in our party enjoyed their food thoroughly. Service was attentive and pleasant. The interior is very modern and tasteful. Parking wasn't bad for us during the week night, but I heard it can get busy during the summer on weekend. This will be one of my go-to places in KoP going forward!

I have been to Founding Farmers on several occasions and like the food and ambiance a lot despite the high prices. My most recent experience was odd to say the least. I ordered the steak frites medium. When it arrived and I cut open the steak it was most definitely not medium. Ordering steak is always a gamble so I told the waiter (who was very kind) and I asked for a new steak. My waiter returned minutes later stating that the chef temped the steak and it was definitely medium. He asked if I wanted it. I said no as I have had steak several times before and it was not to my liking. Now a few minutes later a manager comes to my table and says that again the steak was medium. He even showed me a picture of a plate with steak on it (that certainly appeared medium), but was not the food I received. He went on to tell me the customer is always right (haha), but that the light in that part of the restaurant makes the steak look different. Again I reiterated that I wanted the food prepared again which it finally was. The whole incident was rather annoying, and the more I thought about it the angrier I felt. It wasn't that the steak was not cooked appropriately, it was that I was gaslit to think that I just don't know what medium steak is. Really disappointing. I have been to several Founding Farmers restaurants, but I think it's time we part ways. Below you will see a definitely medium steak that just can't be captured by the ambient light.

I thought this location of Founding was very good. Not unlike its DC brethren, I visited. I always wonder why such a unique eatery is so tightly sat. It is something you notice walking to and through the serving stations. There are plenty of delicious, fresh, colorful, well-paired choices. I love that they replenish the stations quickly. Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Herbivore, Carnivore, and Omnivore all have a seat at the table.

Besides the string that my mom found in her food, this place is good. The location is good and there's plenty of parking. The drinks had great quality liquor. If you like sweet drinks I recommend The Southside. The food is tasty for the most part and the silverware was clean. The server was attentive but not pushy. The lighting is good during the day and the seats were comfortable. I would come back again.

Food was delicious & we loved the inside! Sean was our server & he was great! Highly recommend for good vibes & good, healthy, farm to table food!

I wasn't expecting much from a veggie dish - mashed potatoes, cabbage side dish, and mushroom thing. But man was it tastyyyyy. Fingerlicious good!!!!! The onion rings that I was expecting a lot from ended up disappointing. And those two things together $40... and shareable by 2. Sooooo well worth the money!!!!

Founding Farmers is a restaurant I've been wanting to try for about a year now, let's go over the positives about this place: - the ambience is absolutely beautiful. Downstairs is their cafe which is set up nicely, and upstairs is the bar and restaurant. Upstairs the seating was gorgeous because of all the natural light that comes in from the big windows, plus they got a lot of really cool plants inside. - the food and drinks are good. The farmers daughter was my favorite cocktail, the scallops were cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy, the bread in the basket was fresh, and their house made potato chips were seasoned well and crunchy. Now here are the reasons why this place doesn't get a perfect rating: - this place is overpriced for what you get. Yes the food is good and I understand this is a restaurant that prides themselves with natural, organic, locally sourced ingredients, but $19.50 for a spicy fried chicken sandwich, $8.99 for the table bread basket, and $33.99 for the mid Atlantic scallops is a little insane. The spicy chicken sandwich barely had any of the hot sauce on it, I had to put more on it once I got home. I'm not saying they should give out free bread like other restaurants, but they can at least give us more bread for that price. And the scallops were amazing, but the meal also comes with risotto and crispy Brussels sprouts and there were hardly any Brussels sprouts on my plate. If anything, it was more like crispy Brussels sprouts shavings, I only got one whole Brussels sprout in my entire dish. - the service was just okay. Not over the top friendly like you would expect from this type of restaurant. From the server, host, and food runners, no one really seemed too happy to be there. Kinda makes me wonder what the management is like there. Founding Farmers isn't a place I'd say to stay away from necessarily, but in this area of KOP, there are so many other restaurants that have great food and drinks and much more reasonable when it comes to prices and portions.

Founding Farmers is ALWAYS a hit for everyone at the table. Make sure you snag a reservation as you may need to wait if not. Our table of 5 was seated right away on a holiday weekend. Every seat and every table was taken. When it wasn't, there were people ready to snag it a few moments later. What we snagged: -Bolognese (Fresh and flavorful) -Farmers Platter (Loads of food! BBQ ribs, brisket, fried chicken, and street corn) -Hot Honey Fried Chicken Their menu is super extensive so you're bound to find something on the menu. And similar to any restaurant/store in this shopping center, be patient with parking. It's a pain.

Fine, it's a Founding Farmer's. Our server was very nice, but a bit odd - he would frequently come over and stand and say nothing/ pause for a long time, alternating with either being impossible to find or prying. For instance, we paid with a gift card and he remarked that they only gave those out if you had a bad experience, then asked what the experience was (it was racism at another location, which was awkward to discuss). Food was pretty much as expected, except the corn bread was more crumbly than usual. It's comfort food. Location is huge and well maintained.

One of my favourite weekend brunch spots! Founding Farmers - King of Prussia offers an outstanding all-you-can-eat brunch featuring fresh, locally sourced food. Love the buffet and it's such a cute restaurant! I've been here three times for brunch and it was so fun! The drinks are great and the food is great. Only complaint I have is with their catering people. We loved the food and wanted to have them cater a shower. They gave us a quote and it was so affordable for what we wanted. Then when it came time to pay, they increased the price x2. No one could clarify why they gave us the original quote and why it changed. It wasn't worth the headache so we went with another caterer. We'll just stick to coming to the brunches because the food and service is great.

I've been to the DC location ages ago and was not very impressed with the fried chicken, which is what they're known for. I came back recently for a work dinner and was still not impressed. Our waitress was great, the ambiance was fantastic for a group dinner, my strawberry ginger margarita was excellent, the appetizers (corn bread, fried green tomatoes, spinach dip) were good but the main dishes were average at best. I got the simple style tuna with broccoli and lentils. The seared tuna was seasoned well, but overall nothing to write home about. I think they could've put a little more effort into the dish. My plate just looked sad. The menu stated that the broccoli was sautéed but it looked blanched and boring. There were 3 grape tomatoes on the plate, which was kind of random. My friend's food looked amazing but when I had a taste I wasn't impressed either (carbonara - too salty; pappardelle - too sweet; risotto - not much flavor). I guess I was expecting more given the price point. I'm curious if the brunch buffet would change my mind.

Our go-to spot for weekend and holiday brunch/dinner - Founding Farmers never disappoints. The impeccable food, inviting ambience, and the dedicated team make every visit memorable. Christmas dinner hosted by Keiavan became a cherished tradition, marking two years of escaping the chaos and savoring Founding Farmers' delightful homemade offerings. While Thanksgiving offers plated options, we prefer the buffet for its diverse choices, catering especially well to our young son with celiac. The family-friendly atmosphere is enhanced by accommodating hosts, allowing us to enjoy the buffet seamlessly with the help of tablets for our son. At Founding Farmers, it's not just a dining experience; it feels like home.

Wow, my last review was 5yrs ago. That means it has been 5yrs since I last ate at this restaurant. I'm not sure is it because I have my braces on but this visit made me feel the food is not as delicious as the first time I was there. But it could also be the dish I ordered since I tried something different this time. I still like the Scallops Meuniere that I ordered. It was pretty good. Also the Scratch Ginger Ale drink my husband ordered was pretty good too. Refreshing. I wish i have gotten their donut cause I remember they were freshly made and very soft. I also highly recommend reserving a table because walk in can be a long wait. Our party of 7 waited for about 2hrs.

We love the founding farmers. Always a nice cozy meal here and good portion sizes. I love the ambiance and vibe in here. Makes me feel happy. The food came is super big portions and came out fast. My favorite part was the bread pudding. I don't even like bread pudding but this was really something special.... So delicious. It's a MUST try for sure. Even my fiance who hates dessert and cakes loves it. It's truly magical. The carbonara was super satisfying on a cold night.

This place is really amazing! It's gonna cost you but worth the experience for a special occasion. I've had breakfast downstairs in their cafe several times, it's a coffee shop setup where you order at the bar and grab a seat. Great desserts and ice cream here too. Upstairs in the main dining room is a much more upscale experience. It's a really large space and they can can seat quite a crowd. Everything is pricey, I think I paid 4-5$ for a can of coke...my steak was cooked to perfection but I would have liked a pinch of salt...you'll need to ask for it because they don't have any salt or pepper on the table. We got the wings to start which were really good, apparently they sell a ton of them and we saw multiple tables enjoying them. I got a killer sundae for dessert. They make their own ice cream and it's fantastic. I got a brownie sundae but would just go with hot fudge next time, the ice cream is so good it doesn't need much else. Great experience give it a shot if you haven't been!

Had brunch for a baby shower celebration! The brunch buffet was plentiful and delicious! We had a nice semi private area for a large group. Service were attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend. Be aware parking can be very challenging especially on the weekends

we dined here for the first time and all 4 of us had an excellent meal. the fried chicken, and the fish and chips were standouts. Our Server Brianna was wonderful and we will definitely be back soon!

More like 3.5 stars. Good: Service! Our server is pretty awesome. Less than ideal part: 1) the restaurant is incredibly loud... 2) I had pot roast. Not only was the meat tough to chew, but also there's a hay/straw in my food, right on my beef. I could have said something, but that means I would wait and keep my husband wait. I don't want his steak to get cold, so I chose to pick it up and just ate as if it had never appeared. 3) one can of Coke costs $4.99 plus tax!!! This is absolutely ridiculous. 4) they are still charging so-called "wellness charge". Our wellness charge is $3.72-not a big amount but I find it hard to justify. Interestingly, I happened to have pot roast at Heritage Restaurant in Morgantown last night. I would say their pot roast is way better than Founding Farmer's and cost less.

Great service and vibe. The decor was really cute. We loved the different tile partners around the restaurant. The restaurant has multiple different sections. The food was either a bit too salty or too bland. For instance, the perogies were a bit bland (similar to the ones you can get from the frozen section of the supermarket). I got the southern fried chicken and glazed donut with mac&cheese and green beans. The friend chicken was a bit dry while there wasn't much flavor to the mac & cheese. The glaze donut was amazing though.

Our server Jeuen was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was very cozy, whimsical and fun. Definitely a place to stay awhile.

Founding Farmers is something else. It's super chic has a very interesting decor taste and design. You walk in and it's Bakery not a restaurant. You can take the elevator or climb two floors of stairs to get to the host stand. On the way, you can either admire or question design style of pink goats on a ladder and a topiary of a giant rooster. The theme here is everything is fresh and local. My fellow diner was excited about their breakfast offering specifically the Brioche French Toast. Imagine his displeasure when he reviewed the menu only to see lunch and dinner options. We missed breakfast by 25 mins or so. I ordered the avocado toast, and the disappointed diner ordered a pizza with strict instructions of no Parmesan. The other diner ordered the French Dip. While waiting for our order, I visited the darkest men's room ever. I felt like I was going to the bathroom during a power outage. There were candles and cutesy plaques near the urines. See the pictures as evidence. Upon my return, the avocado toast arrived as well as the French Dip and the pizza. Oh no! The pizza was garnished with Parmesan cheese. Our server removed the pizza, apologized, and said another pizza would be made. Another 10-15 mins passed and the floor manager brought over a new pizza and apologized again. We finished our meals and paid roughly 78 dollars for three before tip. While my avocado toast was good it was not deserving of 18 dollars. While the aesthetics are very hipster, I can't in good faith recommend Founding Fathers for lunch and neither would George Washington, James Madison, John Quincy, and Thomas Jefferson.

Jueun service was EXCELLENT!!!! And she was so Pleasant, with a great smile. The food was on point, and the ambiance was amazing.

Came here for the brunch buffet. Service was average. Interior was great with good amount of natural lights. Food was decent with a variety of options. Not just your usual pancake or eggs benny. The fried chicken was great. The soft serve ice cream was pretty bad and wasn't frozen. It was under $40 after tax per person. I would rate it 3.5/5 but rounded down for the disappointing ice cream.

The ambiance of this place is really charming. The dining room is a lot bigger than I expected from the entrance. The staff was really nice just a little slow getting to each table. I've recently had the scallops and risotto and the hot honey fried chicken. The scallops were really delicious. They were cooked perfectly. I think they could have used more seasoning. Same goes for the risotto that came with it - there was not much flavor to it. The hot honey fried chicken was a better experience. I really like the crispiness of the chicken and it was seasoned well. Same goes for the green beans - they still had a nice snap to them and they were seasoned well. The grits were cheesy but not too cheesy.

Still a fave, but the quality and service has really gone downhill. For starters, our server never brought us utensils. She also forgot my order. We added the bacon lollipops as an appetizer and this is what you get now apparently. This bacon was like packaged bacon from a grocery store and barely had any of the candied brown sugar. It was extremely hard and a waste of money. Everything else was good as usual.

I would rate this closer to a 4.5/5 I've been wanting to try the brunch buffet for a while since I've never heard of that type of concept before. I was worried it would be similar to resort food but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of options and quality of food. I think this is a great option if you're able to eat a lot. But as someone who doesn't eat the most, $33/person and not being able to take anything to go is a bit pricy in my opinion. My personal favorites were the crab and artichoke dip and candied bacon. The service was decent nothing too special. The restaurant looks aesthetic as well. The one thing that bothered me is that they add a wellness charge to every bill. It is not a gratuity but something that covers the workers sick leave. I think it's ridiculous to add that to every bill, I was aware of it through instagram and asked to have it removed but that's an expense the employers should be paying for not the customers as we're already paying for the food + tip.

The food was amazing. They have a great brunch. I got the crab cake Benedict's and OMG! Yes please. We also got a side of French toast and it was so yummy. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The server was fantastic and had great recommendations.

What a great way to start my Phila trip! My husband and I stopped here for breakfast. The restaurant itself is located on the 2nd floor while there is a small takeout cafe on the first floor. The restaurant is modern and sleek along with a full bar. Merchandise including their famous cookbook and candy are available for sale. There is also a private dining room. I had the egg white scrambler with veggies along with a side of hash browns and apple walnut toast. My husband had the buttermilk pancakes. We had a very friendly and helpful waitress. Food was served very quickly. Needless to say it was delicious!! My husband got 4 pancakes and they were indeed filling to say the least. Note they add a 5% recovery charge to your bill but this is noted on the menu. The coffee comes in a generous cup to enjoy and savor. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the fact that the toilets in the ladies room are situated so low! For a moment I thought it was made for children but afterwards when I asked about it I found out that's the way it is. I was told the handicapped stall sits higher. Outside of that I really enjoyed my visit here. Located in an outdoor mall with plenty of restaurants, free parking is available.

We went here for the brunch buffet! Soooo many options from fish, fried chicken, grits, carving board, to sweet breakfasts pancakes, banana fosters along with many pastries! Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, it gets pretty crowded on the weekends! But it's well worth it!!

I found my way here via a business meeting and was really glad that my business partner suggested this location. The restaurant is upstairs and very light and airy. I would come back for the atmosphere but would stay for the food. Our service was really good. Our waitress was always on time with our needs. Whether it was us wanting to order or needing refills on drinks, she did a great job. We came during lunch and I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. I ended up ordering the Roasted Prime Rib Dip. It was very different than any other French dip that I have had in the past. The bread was crusty and you needed to dip it in order to soften it up. The portion was really big but honestly it seem to have more bread than meat. I also had the potato salad as a side and that was really good.

TLDR: Brunch Buffet is straight slap yo momma good. (Golden Corral ain't got sh*t). Came here for the brunch buffet over Thanksgiving weekend, overall service was great, food was excellent for an all you can eat buffet, lovely ambiance. Food: -Eggs Benedict: 4/5 - Poached eggs were slightly overcooked. (My preference is runny) but overall seasoning and flavor profile was great. -Bacon Lollipop: 5/5 - Its a candied bacon on a stick...do I need to say anymore? -Mini Pancakes with Banana Fosters: 5/5 - I dunno if I was supposed to use the Banana Fosters as the 'syrup'. But this is what I would like to call a big brain move. - Spicy & Southern Fried Chicken: 5/5 (In the North); 4/5 (If you are from the South.) I was very weary of a Yankee Southern Fried chicken. But this was very well executed, sure I could go drive a thousand miles for better chicken. But this hit the spot. - Biscuits and Gravy: 3.5/5 - Decent gravy, but the biscuits could use a little help. - Normal Bacon: 5/5 - Its bacon...done right. - Ciabatta Bread w/Spinach Dip & Roasted tomato on top: 4.5/5 - You gotta build this yourself. But this combination was very good and made me feel "healthy". -Cinamon Rolls: 5/5 - These are provided at your table, warm and gooey. -Hashbrowns: 5/5 - The ones I had were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, what I would call the ideal hashbrown. Overall, a great experience, I am sure everything else I didn't get to eat was great as well but these food items were what stood out to me.

This is a cool spot to hit in the KOP area. They are known for their fresh ingredients and using local produce/products - including some of their wine (which I would recommend). The ambiance is really interesting here - it feels like you can dine in three separate experiences (they have a bar area, casual seating, and then a more elegant section with higher ceilings and skylights)...it's really interesting honestly. It all kind of anchors to a farm-rustic theme, which helps it feel cohesive. Service was great and the food was good. Their menu is ginormous - that was the hardest part for us...trying to figure out what to eat. On the plus side, if you are local, it is an easy place to go back to over and over again, and never feel like you have to get the same thing. Also, you can't pass up on their pastries and homemade ice cream!

Gorgeous decor inside. Loved the big windows in the upstairs dining area. The menu is very expansive, which made it tricky to decide what to order. Our group ordered an array of apps. My favorite was the flatbread, which had a buttery crust. Unfortunately my main dish, the turkey avocado sandwich was a letdown. The turkey was dry and difficult to hold. Looking back I would have ordered one of the grain bowls (unique veggie combos with hummus and nut butters). I was so happy to see all the desserts they offer. I had the Death by Chocolate (subbed peanut brownie ice cream for the chocolate ice cream). This was HUGE, 3 big scoops, which made it very sharable. Our table also ordered some chocolates/candy bars and cookies. Mmm, that chocolate chip cookie! Would recommend this place, but perhaps ask what dishes are the most popular/most loved.

This place is fantastic-I love the setup and how open it feels and the way it is laid out. It was super busy the day we went and we had to wait about 20 min although we had a reservation which was understandable. We were there for brunch which was amazing-so many options and what a variety of foods including dips, tacos, fish, meat, eggs, pancakes, french toast and so much more. They even had three different types of salads and an ice cream machine as well as tons of desserts. It is very affordable for the amount of food and variety you get, less than $40 and younger children eat for free and those a bit older 1/2 price. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming and our entire large family could not have been more happy with the food items including the little ones! I was also impressed with how fresh all the food seemed for a buffet-this was NOT the typical large hotel chain buffet I am accustomed to seeing, this was far superior. I look forward to returning again for lunch and/or dinner at some point in the future when I am visiting again from NY.

This location doesn't come close to the original in DC. I saw the 3.5 rating and had to call to see if it was the same company. The original is so incredible that I ate there 3 times on my trip because it was so good I wanted to try more dishes. As a contrast, we will never go back to this location. Despite the place having a 2 hour wait.. it's just not that great. The produce in the bar and on the salads was not to the quality expected. I had the Cobb Louie salad. The lettuce was not high quality and had brown areas and the worst part was it was wet. I wouldn't expect wet brown lettuce at Applebees. The seafood and dressing were good but the kitchen figured out how to butcher this dish. My wife had the tuna poke salad and said it was salty and not great. I had an ice tea and I really expected it to be fresh and exciting and it was also marginal. If you're going to charge $75 for 2 salads and 1 ice tea, you need to put quality out there every time. I am sorry to say this location deserves their 3.5 rating. I am sure the parent company loves the volume this store does on reputation, but if I were them I would pay attention to the reviews before they damage the brands reputation. A real bummer as I really wanted the same founding farmers experience as the original. As a side note. They seemed understaffed with no time but to heard customers through. Also not what you get in DC.

Came for KoP's restaurant week and got to try a variety of items. We had the blue cheese bacon dates, brie farm bread, and the prosciutto farm bread as appetizers. We liked the farm breads but the bread itself was pretty hard so that made it kind of unpleasant to eat when it cuts your mouth. The bacon dates were ok but I probably wouldn't get them again. The ratio of sweet to salty was a bit off and probably would have been better with more bacon. We tried the vodka pesto pasta with shrimp and crab since their pastas are made in house. The dish is on the smaller side compared to other dishes. It also tasted a bit "fishy". I wasn't terribly impressed with the dish and would not get it again. We also tried the farmhouse platter. It was a nice combo plate with fried chicken, chinese bbq pork ribs, brisket, coleslaw, and potatoes. I loved the variety and the pork ribs were my favorite. The fried chicken were the next best. For dessert, we tried the vanilla cheesecake, double chocolate cheesecake, and apple pie. The vanilla cheesecake was kind of runny and soft in the middle so I didn't really like it. The chocolate cheesecake has the typical consistency I expect in a cheesecake. The apple pie came with vanilla ice cream and the ice cream was the best part. Located in the KoP plaza with a free parking lot. Loved the ambience and the basis of the restaurant. Portions are generous, presentation of food is good, and prices are reasonable. The service is also great. The food itself is ok but a but a bit lacking in flavors. Overall, a good place to visit.

Great service and corporate cute: clean, comfy, and quaint. But the food could use some serious work... My partner order the Chicken Jambalaya, which I didn't bother taking a picture of because it looked like a plain salad, so much iceberg lettuce was heaped on top of it. Once she dug past the greens, there seemed to be a standard chicken and rice dish underneath. The problem was that both the chicken and rice were shockingly bland! Only the slight hint of herbs elevated the rice above plain white. This dish should NOT be called a jambalaya. I ordered the Braised Chicken Risotto, and when it was placed in front of me, I was seriously like: "Where's the rice?" Once I dug underneath the modest heap of shredded chicken, there was even LESS RICE than was visible before! What the hell? Is the entire plating aesthetic at this restaurant based on hiding the disappointing entree from the diner? I'm not the typical American diner that demands ginormous portions of everything so I can stuff myself to bursting and still take home leftovers, but let's just say I was glad we ordered the bread basket to start. Not to mention, the shredded chicken on top of my skimpy portion of risotto tasted suspiciously like enchilada filling. At least the flavor of the risotto was decent. And that leads me to the dessert, with which I hoped the restaurant would redeem itself...but no. A standard slice of COLD, DRY chocolate cake accompanied by a scoop of basic vanilla ice cream. Bread Basket: 3/5 Chicken Jambalaya: 2/5 Braised Chicken Risotto: 3/5 Chocolate Cake: 2/5 Unfortunately, an overall underwhelming experience. This place was a 2.5 rounded up to a 3 for good service and a cozy space. Maybe I'll return...but probably not.

Founding Farmers was a great choice for lunch! Delightful atrium-type room for seating and the food was delicious. We shared the falafel, crispy broccoli salad, and fries (beautifully crispy!). The service was very friendly and efficient. This restaurant really should have a gluten-free bread option - it's shocking that it doesn't. There is a coffee shop downstairs and then you walk upstairs for the restaurant. Overall modern decor, and the main restaurant area has a great feel, big comfy bar too. We were pleased with this choice!

I made reservations but was not seated right away and had to sit at a table (preferred the booth that was given to the couple that came 10min after us). However the place was packed and the ambiance was nice. The waitress was wonderful but the food wasn't really that great as expected. I ordered the crab ravioli, the texture of the ravioli was not great. I felt like it was undercooked. However, the crab and artichoke dip was good. I would give this place another try and order a different dish.

10/10. Our server was the sweetest, the atmosphere was busy but not overwhelming and the food was worth the hype.

My bf ordered pierogis and a tuna poke for me to-go, and I'm not sure what I was expecting but definitely not this. The food was pretty good, but without the formal plating and beautiful ambiance of the restaurant, the food does not taste the same! The pierogis were good, but did not seem worth the price--especially when they don't look appetizing in the to-go container. The tuna poke did not fill me up at all, so it was a great thing my bf ordered 2 dishes for me. The poke looked like it was thrown together into the box. Service was prompt and quick. But to reiterate, without the Founding Farmers restaurant ambiance and pleasant plating, the food is whatever. I definitely will not be getting to-go here again, but you bet I'll be eating in the restaurant soon :)

Brianna B. gave us wonderful service and was knowledgeable of all the menu items. Slay.

Food was just ok and for the price it was ridiculous. I got the chicken salad and it was a scoop of chicken salad, two lettuce leaves, 1/2 a beet, two teeny slices of avocado, and a cherry tomato cut in half. Dried blueberries were sprinkled on top when it said blueberries and almonds - no almonds at all and they didn't say the blueberries were dried. That meal was $20 which was ridiculous. The strawberry ginger margarita was good and worth the price but not the salad. And they were out of everything supposedly because of Mother's Day which was four days prior. They said everything was fresh but when I asked to have mango removed from a salad they told me it was prestossed so don't buy it.

Really decent food for a chain. Farm to fork on a big scale. Drinks are decent, apps are tasty and food is always flavorful. Menu has little variety, consist, across all locations. Space is well laid out. Make sure you get a reservation and they won't seat you without a full party. My go to around the office as everybody I bring enjoys themselves.

I guess they removed my last review it was so bad. Didn't know they could do that. My crew consisting of wife and a whole bunch of family insisted that I try it again. "I will really like it. " Not. Don't ever order the chicken pot pie. There's no chicken. There's no vegetables. There's no taste. I must've had two of the tiniest pieces of chicken - 1/2" - couldn't even fit on a spoon. Three peas. And a bunch of sweet cream. $23. Are you really kidding me. The soda was spoiled- kept in the heat. The last time was disappointing for both my wife and I. The others seem to think it's OK. Well I pay the bill! And I am hungry. I'm going to make myself some dinner at home. Because that was a bill for $350. And I'm starved. (And if this is from Farmer's. Why did my sons string beans look like they came from a can? Army gray/green is not an appropriate color. Please, know how to cook vegetables? )
