"The farmer-owned chain’s Tysons Corner (and MoCo) locations pulls from various departments — a prepared foods market, bakery/pastry, butcher and deli, ice cream, and produce — to debut a new online marketplace taking 24/7 orders for curbside pick-up and delivery (10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily). Along with basic groceries and household staples, there’s specialty roasted coffee from Bellwether Coffee. Founding Spirits distillery’s new FDA-approved hand sanitizer is also for sale, along with natural remedies from Every Day Optimal CBD and D.C.’s Apothékary." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy, Tierney Plumb

My friend and I came here for lunch. The wait was about 10 mins. Food was okay, I had a Caesar salad with salmon. The salad portion isn’t that big and unless you order the dressing in the side it’s more like salad soup. The salmon was good and the portion of the salmon was good. My friend had the shrimp and grits she said it was good she didn’t think the portion was good so she added a side of salon as well. Her salmon portion was good. We did get the skillet corn bread it was good, it didn’t come with honey. However there was butter, we didn’t really see the waiter again so we couldn’t even ask for honey. Service, I for got the guys name but he wasn’t that good, we finished our water jug and he never came over to get us another one, different people brought our food out and the waiter never came over to see how we were doing and if everything tasted good. Plus when my friend was ordering her shrimp and grits she was asking him about the portion size and he said it small and the the grits are real gritty (um sounds yummy)😂 she wanted a side of salmon but he was like just wait to see when the shrimp and grits come out. Like just add the salmon already. Well when the dish came out guess what she said I would like to add the salmon. So then she had to wait for the salmon. This is the first time I’ve ever been to a restaurant where they didn’t just bring what you asked for. The establishment is nice and clean and the restrooms were clean as well.

We stopped in for breakfast. Since it was a holiday they were only offering the buffet. Service was great from the hostess to the server. Food options were not scarce, we were pleasantly surprised about the variety of cuisines to choose from. Only disappointment is not being able to eat it all :).

I had a very nice time here! The food was on time and it was delicious as well! We had some cornbread and chicken wings for our appetizers! They were perfect! I asked all my friends about their food and they mention that it was really good. I loved what I had which was the lamb chops. The salmon was moist and flavorful. That’s important I appreciated the brightness the restaurant had. I wish I could’ve taken pictures of the bar, it had this yellow background that was gravitating!💕 I’ll do that another time!😊 What I also like is the parking garage! Overall, I will highly recommend.

Google
Great weekend buffet at FF! There is a parking garage next to the entrance and they provide free validation. Reservations are a must. When we arrived there was nobody at the hostess stand for at least 15 minutes so the lobby got really full. Food wise, I enjoyed their offerings. The eggs, hash browns. Roast beef, fried chicken, bacon, salmon and crab dip were my favorite. My daughters really enjoyed their pancakes and French toast. Save room for their huge dessert station! Service was good. It's worth the $35 pp. Kids under 12 are $15.50. Drinks aren't included.

Google
Service and food was astounding! Highly recommend the seafood risotto, fried chicken burger, Peruvian chicken and their chocolate cheesecake. Their coffee is also amazing & underrated. My partner claims it’s some of the best chicken he’s had. Hector was great and Chris the manager phenomenal. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we could possibly want ✨

Google
It is a decent breakfast place. I had egg white scrambled with avocado toast. The eggs were pleasantly tasty but the avo toast were junks on cut up pieces of bread which was not toasted. One thing is that the salt was empty and I could not get the waiters attention so after about 3 min I had to get up and get it myself.

It was a great experience! Our waiter, Jose Vera was the nicest, most attentive server I have had in a very long time. He represents the restaurant with excellence.

Google
One of my favorite places to eat when I’m in Tysons. Justin provided excellent service and made a great recommendation on the Chicken and Spinach Enchiladas with Skirt Steak. Also some great chocolates you can buy on the way out, I always grab some to bring home.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Happy hour had some great choices. The wings were good, I was not in love with the Brie appetizer. The cornbread was good.

Yelp
We recently celebrated my daughter's graduation at Founding Farmers in Tysons Corner, and it was a memorable experience. I went with my daughter, son, and her mom for lunch, and from the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our waiter was amazing--upon learning about the graduation, he surprised my daughter with a candle at the end of our meal, adding a special touch to our celebration. Although the restaurant can be a bit loud, I always admire the beautiful decoration and thoughtful design. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for special occasions. As always, the food was five-star quality, delicious, and beautifully presented. Founding Farmers continues to impress with its outstanding food and top-notch service. It's a favorite spot of ours, and this visit reinforced why we love coming here. Highly recommended for any celebration or simply a fantastic meal!

Yelp
We made a reservation here for a team meal and we had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. I'm not sure if it was a busy night or if that's normal but just FYI if you have a reservation. I kicked the meal off with a spicy margarita. I'm an avid margarita drinker, and I am a custom to ordering them spicy. This was not a drink that was listed on their menu, but they were willing to make spicy wasn't spicy at all. For my entrée, I opted for the chicken and waffles and elected to the chicken Cajun spicy style. Again this chicken was not spicy. I'm not sure if we have different degrees of what constitutes something being spicy but that was not it. The waffles were cooked well and I really enjoyed the gravy that came with the meal, their chicken and waffles come with gravy and a syrup both were really good! The star of this meal without a doubt was the cronut! I'm not sure if with the official name is on the menu, but essentially it's a croissant and doughnut put together. I opted to get mine filled with a banana foster cream! I am not kidding you when I say this cronut was one of the best items I've ever eaten in my life! Literal flavor, bomb status! Overall, my experience here was mixed.I'm not sure I'll be back for dinner but I will without a doubt be back for my cronuts!!

Yelp
Made a reservation for Easter dinner for 6.mostly had a good experience thought the food was a little long bc it was busy. Good selection of foods for a group that has varied taste. Portions are healthy and after cornbread and two orders of biscuits, everyone with their own entrees, definitely had leftovers. Didn't take pictures of the craft sodas, but enjoyed the ginger and hibiscus versions.

Yelp
Came here for a team breakfast and really enjoyed it. I got the iced mocha and french toast and both were amazing. I was NOT expecting to have three mini bricks haha on the outside they looked like they would be dry but once I cut into them they were super fluffy and not dry at all. Highly recommend getting them and the berry compote if you go. Wasn't thrilled that the berry compote was extra but that's just my opinion.

Yelp
Came here for their Sunday Brunch Presidents' Day weekend. When I called I was told the wait was - hour for 2 ppl. So we decided that wasn't too bad so we headed over. When I went to check in I then was told it was currently a 3-3.5 hour wait. I said NEVERMIND but the host said I could try the bar. Luckily for me when I walked to the bar there was another couple getting up and offered me their seats. So I'd like to say that's a win! They offer a buffet which had LOTS of options including desserts, carving station salad bar. They do NOT Have an omelette station which I wasn't upset about. The carving station had beef and ham. I got the beef and it was flavorless and tough, outside of that everything else I ate was pretty tasty. Even the hash browns were super seasoned and good, I had to go back for seconds. I tried the eggs, salmon, hashbrowns, artichoke dip, shrimp and grits, French toast, pancakes, cheesecake, trifle and more. All were good. The grits could have been cooked a little more but all in all it was good and I would return.

Yelp
I was really disappointed in this visit. I had a Founding Farmers in Tysons. We went out to dinner here for my brothers birthday. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. But the food was subpar. My mom ended up ordering the risotto, but it was severely under cooked and very crunchy. I always order the gnocchi, but at this location it just didn't taste, right. I prefer going to the Location in Potomac.

Lena A.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! It offers a cute and classy ambiance that immediately sets a positive tone for the dining experience. The service is consistently good, attentive without being intrusive. As for the food, the seafood is remarkably fresh and the wings are delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I come here mainly for the shrimp salad and the wings, it's always a hit. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the mood for great food in a lovely setting.

Yelp
Took a little trip up to Tysons to do some Christmas shopping and stopped in at @foundingfarmers Tysons. I got the shrimp and crab risotto . The dish featured a generous heaping of large chunks of crab meat sprinkled atop several large and flavorful shrimp. Underneath it all lay a perfectly cooked mound of creamy risotto with wild mushrooms and lemon herb cream. Highly recommend for a great comfort food meal on a cold day .

Yelp
I had a very enjoyable experience at Founding Farmers in Tyson's II! Located very close to the fancy mall, this restaurant was absolute packed at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Our server Emily was THE BEST. She was incredible and truly became a friend to us during the dinner. Literally the absolute perfect waitress... what else is there to say? The food rocked, as it always does! My pot roast was so tasty, although I wish it had been warmer and a little thicker gravy. The seared tuna was good too. The Mac n cheese is so flavorful but also could have been warmer. Our coconut cream pie was the sweetest ending to a very good meal! Emily you are the best!!!

Yelp
We enjoyed this fun and funky restaurant. Food is a solid 3.75-4 out of 5: I had the Brunswick stew. It was warm with a great broth on a very cold and snowy day, but a bit thin. Also note, if you are ordering for your entree- it's in a very small bowl and comes with a small side salad in a cup. So order a side dish, perhaps. My spouse enjoyed the crab and shrimp risotto -- the flavors were complex and the seafood fresh. I tasted it and it was one of my favorite risottos ever! Not runny or too creamy or dry. Perfect flavor. Only downside is that it was served lukewarm. Otherwise, I'd definitely order again. Service- our waitress was slammed, so we can't really brag on the service category. It took almost 25 minutes to place our order, and she took orders of tables that arrived after us before she meandered back to our table. Also, my sweet potato never arrived. Only after we received the rest of our order did she inform us that the restaurant was out of sweet potatoes. The Affogato and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert were wonderful. All in all, we enjoyed our experience. If the service were better and food served warm, we would have no reservations about returning. This is definitely a popular spot.

Yelp
The bacon mushroom tart was pretty good in the sense that it was mushroom and bacon baked with cheese on top. The crust was flaky and crispy--perfect for the winter. The fried chicken, however was pretty disappointing because the chicken was pretty dry. The skin was pretty yummy and crunchy, but I wouldn't order it again. The collard greens were a bit overcooked, but the mashed potatoes were pretty tasty. The interior is very cozy and it is a nice place to visit when it is snowing outside and it's cold. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
I decided to check out Founding Farmers for lunch. This location looks like it wouldn't be very crowded at the time, but it was pretty busy when I arrived. There is a parking garage that is located right next to the restaurant and they will validate your parking which is nice. I wanted to get a table for one but the hostess suggested to sit at the bar. I'm guessing it had to do with the amount of tables and servers available. Sometimes I am just not in the mood to sit at a bar. I decided to go with the fried chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles was served with a waffle, green beans, Mac and cheese and two pieces of chicken. There was also a side of a gravy but it did not make a difference in taste for me so I left it alone. The waffle was tasty it just wasn't as hot as I would have liked. The chicken was seasoned but I think I could have done with just the chicken breast and not the thigh. I could have done without the green beans. They were your typical green beans that you get at a restaurant cooked but without any seasoning or flavor. As much as I like chicken and waffles this was not my favorite. Thankfully the desserts I saw on my way out changed my mind. The Jefferson donut is a must. The cinnamon roll was soft and not overly sweet:

Yelp
What a special delicious treat. The brunch buffet is a tasty array of southern style dishes. Everything from fried chicken, home made biscuits with smothered gravy to eggs Benedict. You are sure to enjoy the warm French toast with add your own topping and don't miss out on the honey ham or juicy roast beef. After all that and you're stuffed you are sure to enjoy homemade churned ice cream with desserts made with Love. And a fun fact, the restaurant supports sustainable American farmers with nothing going to waste. I am Impressed with the service, the food and the connection to the community

Liyang S.

Yelp
Fantastic modern American buffet with a huge variety of food choices and ultra decadent selection of desserts. I love how they portion their food into small sizes; perfect for tasting all they have to offer and promoting sustainability and minimizing food waste. And you'll want to taste everything they have. Almost all of the food I ate looked and tasted great. Some of the dishes were a little cold (e.g. bacon loli, roast beef), but still tasty. Service was good; our plates were quietly and efficiently taken away, and our waitress brought 2 water jugs at the start of our meal which was enough for our entire meal. Ambiance is hip and modern, with a feel that emphasized the farm-to-table approach Founding Farmers is known for. Price is also decent for the amount of quality food you're getting, and kids 6 and under are free! Ask for the optional 5% automatic wellness charge to be taken off if you are not interested in paying extra. Be sure to save room for dessert; they absolutely take the entire meal to another level. My favorites are the bread pudding (warm and goey which crunchy on top), cream filled donuts (the best cream enveloped by a perfectly textured donut exterior), and the chocolate covered cream puffs (words cannot describe how awesome this is).

Yelp
I decided to come back here and bring some friends as I raved about the food here. I made reservations for 3 @8pm and we checked in at 7:30. The guy at the front told me that they were behind and just seated the 7pm reservations. He told me that he would text me and confirmed my cell number and text it when my table would be ready. I said "no problem". I asked if we could go to the bar and get some drinks while we were waiting and he said that was fine.......Well we were all damn patient. We ordered some drinks and by 8 ordered appetizers. Since we were patiently waiting for the text and I remember that they were behind in seating guests we waited patiently . It was already past 8:30 and we just ordered food at the bar. I went to the front to find out what's going on and why we never received a text. The excuse I got was that my party was "not complete"???!!!! Excuse me, I told them that " my party " was all here when I checked in, that we knew we were early. and that we were getting drinks at the bar while waiting. The hostess area needs help not dropping the ball and treating guests better!!! It happened already to me with my first experience that I waited and they gave someone else my table who just walked in while I was standing there in front of them because they assumed the other person was me!!! And they served me a dish with tomatoes when I requested no tomatoes because of allergies on my last visit. Now that was patient and generous... I let that pass but today is NOT A PASS. We should have spent our $125 elsewhere. I'd rather be treated like I'm welcome instead of being invisible. By the way, the bartenders were nice and they worked extra hard. ( They get a 5) We ordered the following ... *Hot Crab & Artichoke Dip *Brie -onion jam, crisp apple *Big Crispy Tenders -street corn, thick-cut onion rings * chicken salad sandwich *BLT sandwich And beverages. The appetizers were good but A LOT of bread. The Brie was probably my favorite out of everything. The rest of our meals were ok. Sandwiches definitely are not their highlights and the tenders were ok. But overall this experience was totally not what I was expecting from a place I had originally bragged about. I expected better but I am fully embarrassed I even took my friends here for their first experience and they ended up dining at the bar with reservations!!! Ultimate FAIL.

Yelp
Have heard about this place many times but only tried it for the first time today. Overall, I have to say I was disappointed. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. Similarly, food was not bad, but poorly cooked. I ordered steak frites at the suggestion of our server. I ordered it medium thinking I would get a nice piece of meat (one of the reasons it was recomended) and what I got was a thin overcooked slab of beef that get more like something you could get in a sandwich. I couldn't have been more than half an inch thick, a therefor was grey all the way through. The veggie sides were really good, and the fries were ok, but again, the steak was a huge letdown. Cafeteria quality.... It was a work lunch so I choose not to ask to send it back, but honestly, if the steak frite is always that thin a cut, I doubt it is ever gonna be that great.

Yelp
I finally go toto check out Founding Farmers and it was meh. The menu was American but the combinations were somewhat different. The greens could use some seasoning but individually the items were delicious. Overall would I make another reservation, no, there's too many other good options nearby. A few weeks to the menu and they have potential. The service was great, the reservations weren't hard to get and the location is perfect. I hope they stick around but I wouldn't rush to go back anytime soon. Donuts, salmon and fried chicken were delicious.

Yelp
I regret having to leave a negative review, but my recent visit was quite disappointing. I had made a reservation in advance for a party of 7 to celebrate my dad's birthday. We arrived at 3 PM, and it took approximately 15-20 minutes for our waiter to attend to us (we had to ask where our waiter was), which he attributed to the transition from the brunch/lunch staff to the dinner staff - a reasonable delay. However, what baffled me was the excessive wait of over 30 minutes for our appetizers. In addition, there was an unfortunate incident where I discovered a LIVE gnat in the Deviled Eggs, cleverly disguised as black pepper. To top it off, my sister ordered the Shrimp & Eggplant Linguine, but the pasta was all clumped together. Overall, every dish that came out was room temperature, not hot and fresh (the plate wasn't even hot). Furthermore, it felt like our waiter (his name was Kyle) wasn't as attentive as one would expect. I appreciated him telling us about the transition between the lunch/brunch staff to dinner staff but he was unapologetic with the overall long wait time and barely came to our table even though we could see him clearly standing there across from us. This added to our overall dissatisfaction with the dining experience.

Yelp
Over 8 years ago I dined at the original Founding Farmers. It was fantastic, and I wrote a stellar review. Then, over the years, I had two "not-so-great" experiences that forced me to shy away from my DC go-to. That changed today when we stopped in at FF Tysons. Melvin provided excellent service and made my cocktail ti my liking. We ordered the wings (which were terrible on my two previous visits). This time they were A++, ahi bites were good, and we all LOVED the Kettle Corn. The real star though was Melvin. THANK YOU

D'Jillisser K.

Yelp
Indulge in the delightful endless brunch experience at Founding Farmers, conveniently situated near Tysons Corner Center. The ambiance exudes coziness featuring multiple levels that enhanced my dinning experience. However, the true highlight is the farm-to-table endless breakfast, which proves to be a delectable treat. There's so much options to satisfy every palate. The quality of the foods remains consistently excellent, whether you're savoring the meats, pastries, or other delectable dishes. To complement my meal, I requested a gingerale, which was homemade! Soooo refreshing! Also, they provided a complimentary cinnamon roll. Overall, Founding Farmers offers an outstanding brunch experience that combines a welcoming atmosphere with a diverse menu of high quality dishes.

Calvin S.

Yelp
The girls at the front are clueless and keep seating people in front of us. Their incompetence is especially annoying.

Marisa M.

Yelp
We were at a conference nearby so it was great to have a good sit down place with fresh food that we could walk to. Service was efficient and friendly, and they sat us for our reservation time right away even though we were a few minutes late. It's a busy place but doesn't feel overcrowded. Would definitely go back next time I'm in the area!

Emma E.

Yelp
Really disappointing experience at Founding Farmers this morning - I would not be back. First of all, our expectations were set for a good experience, 2 stars for me indicated it fell short of expectations. With the type of food on the menu, the price point, and the reviews combined, we felt very mislead. We expected a lot more. I will walk through our morning and give an itemized run down of the items I think they did well and not so well. First the ambiance is a 5/5. The restaurant is very clean, the chairs and booths are comfortable, the light fixtures are all new looking. Inside is beautifully curated and very comfy. Very appropriate for a business lunch, a casual lunch, breakfast, etc. It has a really nice stained glass hanging piece and the decor is really beautiful. A lot of money went into the ambiance. The food menu is 5/5. I think they offer a great variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, entrees, etc. The choices were consistent with what you would expect from southern inspired American fare, the combinations made sense, the sides and entrees were well curated. Great menu with lots of options. Lots of desserts, there is a mini bakery in the front so definitely check that out Drink and bar menu 4/5. They have about 5-10 cocktail options for each type of liquor - there are so many cocktail options. I wish they had beefed up their non alcoholic selection a bit, but the variety for the regular section was astounding. It seems like many of the liquors are made in house. Now we run into all of the problems. Service 2/5. The only thing I can really say was our server wasn't rude and he helped answer questions but that's about all. I requested Mac and cheese instead of potatos for my side and he was able to do that but then my collared greens got replaced with green beans without notifying me. It took a long time for him to come back for me to even let him know, and then he quickly let me know they were out and ran off again. We were out of two different sauces and could not flag him down until 20-30 mins later. He passed our table multiple times and walked right by us. By then I gave up on most of my food it had already gone cold. We were going to order a dessert but passed since we had to travel today and couldn't spend more time here. If our server had showed up earlier during service I probably would've brought the quality of the food to his attention - unfortunately he was absent. Food 2/5. The biggest kicker for the review is the fact that the food and service, the two biggest points for a review, were far below expectations. I outlined above the problems with the service and the food was just as bad. We had a southern fried chicken with Mac and cheese, green beans and a biscuit. My boyfriend ordered a turkey and avocado BLT with fries. Everything looked amazing when it came out, but the presentation was misleading. The fried chicken was the skimpiest portion I've ever had. I may have gotten a bad piece but the breast was literally nonexistent, I cut through the fried part and the entire piece was bone and skin, no meat. HALF of the chicken went to waste because it was such a bad piece. The second piece had meat on it but it was so insanely dry and bland. Some of the worst fried chicken I've had. The Mac and cheese was delicious but felt more like a cream pasta than a mac. The green beans were inedible - no flavor at all and they were shredded (supposed to be fancier I guess?) but they were literally so undercooked they were crunchy. Biscuit was good, Im sure their baked stuff is fine. Over half of my meal went to waste because the green beans were inedible and the chicken was half skin and bone. My boyfriends sandwich was the same deal. Fries on the side were boring and under seasoned and the sandwich itself the bread was too soggy and the turkey was extremely dry and bland. The produce (tomato, lettuce and avocado) was fresh, but for soggy bread, dry turkey and the SKIMPIEST bacon portion I've ever seen? Not worth it. On the menu it also specifies there is a 5% optional charge for a mental health/healthcare fund for the workers... if this is such a big priority for Founding Farmers, why is this optional? I am disappointed that the cost of this is put on the customer not the business especially considering the food is already overpriced and they have multiple locations in dc. It feels like a marketing ploy to advertise they care about their employees mental health on the menu when they aren't including this in their normal operating budget. Do better. Overall this seems like a really popular spot for serving overpriced under seasoned food on a fancy plate. Great ambiance and presentation, but if you want to enjoy your food I'd look elsewhere.

Yelp
I wanted to enjoy my experience, I really did. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow and there were several times despite asking, our table was neglected as the poor server was either new or covering too many tables. My husbands drink had a dead fly in his ice cube and although the did re make the drink, they charged us for it. The cornbread was fantastic and came out hot. However, that was the only highlight. My husband ordered the prime rib which came out 20 minutes before my dinner salad that I had ordered (how?!) AND his prime rib even though it came out early, it was very cold and the mashed potatoes were cold and coagulated on the plate. He didn't even get a steak knife to cut it with. After finally getting our servers attention she apologized and took it to the back the. Came out and said the manager was going to come talk with us since there had been several hiccups with our meal thus far. The manager did come out, but he didn't even say anything, he just dropped off my husbands reheated, now over cooked prime rib and ran off without even talking to us. At the end, when we got the check we needed to request the server to ask the manager to take the prime rib off the check even though she had told us he was going to after he spoke with us earlier (which never happened). For the price, you would think you would get a much better experience. I would not recommend going here as there were too many issues and not enough cares from management.

Yelp
My husband and I were in the area for my birthday. This is the best buffet brunch spot I have been to. We sat at the bar and the service was great!! The food was over the top. They had shrimp and grits, made to order omelette station, crab dip, pastries, and lunch options. Everything was over the top fresh and delicious. The next time I am in the area we will definitely return. Must try you will not be disappointed. It was a bit crowded but that's to be expected because the food and service was great.

E. J.

Yelp
We dine here often for the all you can eat brunch, and the service is always exceptional! However, this time, was especially exceptional due to our waiter Allie. She was very attentive to our needs, often coming by our table for refills and going above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. She provided comfort and relief to my wife, as she is pregnant and felt nauseous upon sitting down. Because of her quick actions, my wife overcame her nausea and was able to enjoy several plates!!! Whenever we are in the area, we will always come here for the all you can eat brunch buffet. It is the best experience in the DMV!!!

Martha S.

Yelp
Great brunch spot! I met some friends here for a goodbye brunch on a Saturday morning, and the food was great, seating was spacious, even with it being very busy during weekend brunch. The buffet area wasn't very big, though, and you walk through it right to left, which was a little confusing at first. Not my favorite of the chain's restaurants, but it was still a pretty good experience nonetheless. Great staff, too!

Heba E.

Yelp
Surprisingly great for breakfast! Wide variety of food. Open early if you need to meet before work. The bathrooms are shared with the building but still nice

Zeliha K.

Yelp
I recently savored a delightful brunch experience at Founding Farmers, where the array of options truly impressed me. I am a fan of their salmon dish and various appetizers, each bursting with flavor and freshness. The must-try item for me is their delectable doughnut, a heavenly treat that should not be missed. Their pancakes and toasts are also exceptional choices for a satisfying brunch. The drinks menu offers a variety of refreshing beverages to complement the meal perfectly. The only downside is the typical 60-minute wait, but trust me, it's well worth it. Founding Farmers offers a brunch experience that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this spot for a fulfilling and enjoyable dining experience

Yelp
Great place. Huge menu. Great service. I had fish with red sauce and fried capers over risotto. It was delicious. I've been here several times. Great for groups.

Yelp
The service automatically was amazing!! It was our first time there and it felt like home walking in! The atmosphere was so warm and cozy, I love how you have all the fresh bakery items to the right when you walk in! If I could buy one of each I would everything looked DELICIOUS!!! Speaking of the food!! Our waiter informed us how everything was made from scratch! I didn't think it was going to taste so fresh!! Everything that came out was appetizing! I would say the fried chicken could use a tad bit more flavor but was still pretty decent. The dessert was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend the vanilla bean cheesecake! I was upset I forgot to try their cinnamon roll.

Yelp
This restaurant goes out of its way to be environmentally sustainable and offers delicious, healthy meals with ingredients sourced directly from farmers. In fact, we learned that the restaurant is owned by farmers in the Midwest. Most items, such as sauces, are made fresh, in-house. There are three of these restaurants in the DC area. The one near Tysons Corner is fairly large. On weekends, it can be hard to get a reservation. When full, in my experience, background noise can be loud and service can get slow. Try going during the week and ask for a quiet location.

Yelp
Sorely disappointed with the latest from Founding Farmers - Tysons. Not sure whether they are just too busy, or perhaps the post-COVID world, but the food isn't quite hitting the mark as it used to. We were there to celebrate a family member's birthday and the ambiance was quite loud/noisy, almost like you would find at a busy bar. It was hard to chat/talk as we had to raise our voices sitting around the large round table booth. Perhaps if we were in a smaller table it would have been better. We had a couple members in our party with dairy allergies and other dietary restrictions, and the server did do a good job with helping us navigate the dairy allergy and what entrees might work, and what substitutes could happen. That said, we were still served one entree (Pan-seared market fish of the day) that had dairy in it. The server that brought out the food said there was no dairy in the entree because "Dairy Allergy" was at the bottom of their order receipt for our table, but alas we asked her to double check because we thought it was mashed potatoes served under the fish (it was actually the creamy parsnip horseradish puree); but even with our mistake, we caught their mistake with the creamy parsnip puree. We eventually had it remade with just some steamed vegetables, which worked out fine. However, other issues with the food abounded - cold dishes, lukewarm prime rib, and a super thin ribeye (looked like the type of ribeye you would get at a run-of-the-mill college cafeteria). All things that you would not find at a bangin' 5 star Founding Farmers dinner. While the 5% wellness charge they add on the receipt is well-intended, it does leave a sore spot when you have a sub-par experience at Founding Farmers. They state the wellness charge helps maintain "the value and standards our guests have come to know and love." Unfortunately, we certainly didn't find the value and the appropriate standard of Founding Farmers dining that we've known for many years.

Yelp
Very interesting take on food preparation.., some stuff was good but other stuff was eh. I wasn't impressed. This place is overrated and service was very blah especially for Tyson's corner. Been hearing about this place forever and finally tried it... I was overall disappointed and I may give them one more shot but eh. If you want tasty and savory food, go somewhere else. I did like the desserts though.

Yelp
Visited this location for dinner with my friends on a Friday evening. We had a reservation for 7 people, although the table we got was quite small. The food is ok. I ordered the Fried Chicken & Jefferson Donut platter -- spicy fried chicken, mac and cheese, green beans and a croissant-donut filled with vanilla pastry cream. The star of the show for me was the spicy fried chicken. It was crispy and flavorful. I've tried the southern one as well, but definitely recommend getting the spicy fried one because it's juicier and has more flavor in my opinion. The mac and cheese was bland though, so you may need to add some hot sauce to it. Green beans were overcooked as well, and I felt like they didn't really add much to the dish. The donut was basically like a Krispy Kreme donut with filling inside. The service at this location was great despite it being a busy Friday evening. The food is not cheap ($20.50 for the platter I got), but you do get big portions. Although I wish the food had more seasoning, I would come back here again to try the brunch buffet or their drinks.

Yelp
Food was outstanding tons of choices great experience for us farmer owned reflects the culinary traditions of Virginia Feels authentic and will recommend to my friends

Yelp
In general I don't love founding farmers. It's a menu for a specific dishes and not everything is as good. Like you cannot go wrong with the chicken and waffles but the roast turkey was 1 star. And it's a great place for combined sweet and savory foot opinions (the donuts are great and the cheese dips crackers rings plate is fun!). The service is good though and the location is nice though loud. And the sharing parking garage works and is close. But why I love this place... the PEANUT BUTTER PIE! You have to get this. It's the best thing ever. I don't like pie or peanut butter desserts but I dream of this pie. Will be back for it

Yelp
The food is awful and the service I received wasn't any better. A friend of mine and I had brunch today. We sampled several of the buffet options. In short, everything sucked. Not a single thing tasted good. Whether it was the scrambled eggs, Eggs Benedict, mac and cheese, hash browns, bacon, green beans, or fried chicken, it was ALL TERRIBLE. Yet, the place was full and they had an hour long wait for anyone who didn't make reservations. I don't get it. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who says the food is good is either a straight up liar or just hasn't tasted good food. If you're good with mass trash, it may work for you. Everyone else: go elsewhere.

Yelp
Maybe my expectations were too high! We did not enjoy our dining experience at all Food was sub par nothing special at all service was poor 2 of us got our food first.. it was 15-20 minutes before our other friends food came out and it was cold! We told the manager and she truly sounded like she could care less! You win some you lose some This was a lost.

Yelp

Yelp
I came here on Saturday night to celebrate my Aunt's birthday. Luckily we had made a reservation ahead of time because they were pretty busy. I really liked the atmosphere of this place and the big booth that we were seated in. We started with ordering some drinks. My cousin had ordered the regular Paloma and my sister ordered the Spicy Paloma. Both of them ended up coming out as a regular Paloma, and one of the drinks was filled noticeably less. As a server myself, I would have never brought out two of the same drinks looking noticeably different. Our server was nice, apologized, and offered to get her another one after she had finished the first one. For the table we ordered the buttermilk biscuits and the Chips, rings, crisps, dips & Ciabatta appetizer. The biscuits were absolutely amazing! They were a great size, flaky, and fresh and the jam and butter went perfectly with them. I was less impressed by the other appetizer we got. The cheese crisps weren't very good, and the chips weren't crunchy at all and kinda soft when biting into it. I also ordered a small caesar salad to come out first, but it never made it to the table. For my meal I ordered the chicken bolognese bucatini which I thought was flavorful and tasty. They were also accommodating to my cousin who has a dairy allergy and were able to make the shrimp & eggplant linguine without the butter in the sauce and she really enjoyed it. The other people in my party also enjoyed all of their meals. We were too full for any dessert, but the waiter brought out one of the Jefferson donuts with a candle in it for my aunt's birthday. I tried some of it and it was really good. Also to note, they offer garage parking and you can get your parking ticket vouchered for up to 2 hours free.

Yelp
Modern American spot I came here for brunch on a weekend, little did I know that they only offer a (33$) AYCE buffet for their weekend brunch The buffet had a very solid selection, some items better than others, but my consensus was that the food was fine. Not fantastic, not awful, but fine I also got a mocha latte, and felt similarly Both indoor and outdoor seating Validate parking

Yelp
Food was literally tasteless. Ordered the pomodoro with herb chicken, when I tell you it had no salt or pepper whatsoever (the chicken and the sauce). Chicken was beyond dry as well. I had to add salt pepper and other things just to be able to eat it. Not sure if the person cooking today doesn't believe in flavor, but this was beyond disappointing. The pastries were great.

Yelp
This is a famous chain and has a few branches in the DC metro area. I've been to the Tysons one many times. The menu often changes a bit and there are a good number of vegetarian options available. There is no kids menu here. They can give you a couple of options from the main menu, but nothing kid specific. I got the following items: - Buttermilk Biscuits: so so good. Love it. - Roasted Tomato Soup: it's delicious. Very flavorful and comes with a toast. - Farro Arugula Salad: love this salad. It's delicious. - Cornbread: this tastes amazing as well. Overall, great place to chill with friends and family with a variety of great options for vegetarians.

Yelp
Amazing for brunch! This chain has a few Founding Farmers locations but also has two sister restaurants that also offer a brunch buffet. I've also been to the one in DC along with the sister restaurant by Georgetown (Farmers Fishers and Bakers). If you plan on going I would highly recommend making a reservation. Either way though they were able to seat pretty quickly. Atmosphere is great and makes for a great personal meal or a bigger party get together. Love all the foods, each location has a slightly different menu so look in advance. I will say if you have dietary resurrections, these probably won't be your best option. Service was a little spotty at the Tyson's location but the server at Georgetown was amazing!

Yelp
2.5 stars TL;DR: Dinner was disappointing; may need to try their brunch buffet again It's been a few years since I last visited this location. I have done dinner/lunch, as well as the brunch buffet. Unfortunately, it seems like the quality of their entrees has gone down quite a bit. Came here on a Tuesday night with a couple of friends who had come in town, and it was BUSY! So I recommend making reservations regardless of when you plan to visit. Service was friendly enough, but not overly attentive, which is fine. Drink and food service was a little slow, but like I said, it was very busy, so that was not surprising. FOOD: ~Crab and Artichoke Dip (3.5/5): This was very tasty, but there wasn't much crab or even crab flavor ~Cornbread (4/5): very crumby, but good flavor and actual pieces of corn in it ~Country Fried Steak (2/5): This thing was as dry and tough as a tire. Breading flavor was decent, but my teeth hurt ~Spicy Fried Chicken (2/5): The dark meat piece was small but flavor was okay. The white meat piece was so dry and dense and even hard to bite into. ~Mac and Cheese (2/5): Flavorless ~Collard Greens (2/5): texture was okay, but the flavor was overly vinegary ~Jefferson Donut (3/5): donut is a donut, but the size of this over the years has gotten significantly smaller May need to come back for the brunch, just order a bunch of appetizers, or just try something new from their regular menu, but was a little disappointing, especially for the price.

Yelp
First time here, we arrived for the lunch service however, we were in the mood for breakfast! I started with a dirty chai! The chai was probably one of the best I've had so far. Perfect combination of spice! I had a starter as my meal which was the Ham & Biscuits, three hams, tart jelly, churned butter, whole grain mustard, and pimento cheese! ($18.50) the biscuits were cooked perfectly and so tasty! Very large meal (I know... starter) but I'm loving the leftovers I got to take home! Definitely want to return to try the breakfast menu and the weekend brunch AND the desserts!

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with stellar service. Very friendly and attentive. Such a beautiful and tasteful ambiance with intriguing decor. The sausage and mushroom gnocchi was delicious. And Founding Farmers makes its own spirits and chocolates which are both quite tasty.

Yelp
Slow service, bland food, and food poisoning! We went for Restaurant Week. We had to request the Restaurant Week menu as it was not offered! We had a show to attend @9:30PM nearby and thought with a 7:15PM reservation we would have PLENTY of time. However, due to the SLOW service we didn't leave until 9PM, having to get our desserts to go as there was not enough time to eat them in the restaurant. At 2:30AM the next morning, one of our party became very ill with food poisoning. As soon as she vomited she felt better so we KNOW it was the food she ate and not a virus. The food itself was so bland we requested salt and pepper but it never came. Can't recommend.
