Foundry Kitchen and Bar

Stopped in for a business lunch and was very pleased. Enjoyed their chicken tacos with chips, guacamole and salsa. My business partner had the taco salad. All good. Service was excellent, restaurant seemed clean. Will definitely return when in Elyria again.

We've eaten in the restaurant before, but carry-out this time. Foundry was jumping with a good vibes from guests and staff. I am hoping the Burger of the Month I had today joins the menu personally. We got the pretzels and a order of the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque...just crumbs and fond memories remain. Well done, all around!

I happened right be in the area while riding with a friend to get his lawnmower fixed and I found this restaurant. It was delicious. We tried the wasabi deviled eggs for the appetizer. I don’t eat pork so I got the pancetta removed which is like small pieces of bacon and I love how it came with the green onions on top and the crispy onions it was a nice mixture. Then I had the bang pasta with all shrimp and my friend had the creator own burger. I never order burgers, but I tried his and it was delicious and I love the fact that they allow you to add a fried egg onto it too, but he didn’t do that. I think this is definitely a place to stop by if you’re ever in Elyria. The atmosphere was nice and clean and our service was great ! I’ll definitely be back if ever in the area again.

This is a warehouse themed restaurant with tasty comfort food and a pleasant staff.

I love this place! The food is phenomenal as is the atmosphere. They have a nice selection of seasonal crafts beers and offer flights of beer if you are into taste testing. They also make their pizza in a dedicated pizza oven and they are fantastic.

I've come here 3 times. The first 2 times were great experiences, and the food is good. The most recent time, the restaurant was not that crowded, but they seemed very flustered. Drinks didn't get there until after food arrived. It's possible they were just having an off day or a few people called in sick. But good place overall!

Stopped in Elyria overnight and picked the Foundry Kitchen for dinner. Monday night burger is $8 and happy hour drink prices were great. Ok…. I forgot to take a pic of our burgers but they were big & delicious. If you are in the area, great restaurant. Atmosphere is awesome.

This place was over the top amazing! I highly recommend giving this place a try. Lots of options from food to drinks to seating 😂 I recommend the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich and any of there stouts. The pizza is also amazing. I really can't wait to come back and try more. I would say this is a family friendly spot. And I would definitely take a date here. Good prices for what they provide. Also nice and clean. The parking lot beside the building. So you don't have to park on street ✌️

We were so impressed we went twice in one day!! Everything we had there was phenomenal. Appetizers, burgers, pizza, dessert, cocktails. Service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend the juicy Lucy. Get the fries! Martinis were spectacular and everything very reasonably priced. I wish I lived closer because I'd be a regular.

Foundry Kitchen and Bar offers a great dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, you're greeted by a comfortable waiting foyer that leads into the main dining room and bar, where the ambiance blends modern bar style with a classic foundry twist. The seating options cater to all preferences, with high table tops and more intimate low-top seating at the rear, nicely juxtaposed against the foundry brickwork. The bar area is particularly impressive, featuring a tile back bar and a spacious bar top, perfect for enjoying their wide selection of drinks. We started with Caruso's Columbian Supremo Coffee and a Coke, both of which were excellent choices. We also tried the FKB Ich Trinke Hefeweisen, a traditional wheat beer with notes of banana and clove, which was particularly refreshing with its slightly cloudy appearance. For the meal, the Yum Bang Pasta was a highlight, with Andouille sausage and sautéed shrimp combined beautifully with Thai sweet chili and Sriracha sauce, creating a dish that was fresh-tasting with a perfect balance of sweet and spice. The Roasted Pancetta Brussel Sprouts, shredded and enhanced with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, were excellent! The service was pleasant, with our waitress being courteous and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, Foundry Kitchen and Bar is an enjoyable spot for a relaxed dining experience.

I had an urge for pizza and had seen this on the menu as pizza of the month. I made the 40 min round trip today and it was worth it! It was fresh & hot at pick up and full disclosure, I had a slice on my way home...couldn't help myself! The only request I'd make when ordering this pizza is to have the pesto drizzle added after baking, not before. Hope to get back there soon for dine in!

F is for Foundry. Either we got rather unlucky or most of their food is not great. Found ourselves here for a b-day party of 12. Split between 2 tables. Place was busy the whole time as it was Burger special Monday. The service was especially bad. Can't list all the issues but the highlights are.... - Made a Pizza wrong (oil instead sauce) so she asks if she can just bring a side of pizza sauce. Isn't it gonna taste like oil though? Of course, so after one bite we ask for a new one made correctly. The server huffs & takes away the pizza! Coulda left it and the kids woulda gobbled it anyway. By the way, the replacement came after all the entrees were ate & she kinda threw it in the table in front of the person who complained. - I ordered mayo & onion sauce w/ my burger & fries. The burger was good & fries were nice & crispy. Mayo never came so I shared w/ others but I asked second time for sauce. Was gonna add it to coleslaw since it was very dry. When I had only my slaw left I asked again. It finally came after we got our bill! - We only came here b/c bday mom wanted the pierogis - of course they ran out at start of dinner service!! - A Caprese salad was ordered w/ no balsamic glaze but got it all over anyway. Foundryn general the server was salty & not polite. Plus no apology for any of her or kitchen mishaps!! Also, orders were taken directly into mobile device & was difficult for her to find things presumably since each persons took like 30 sec. So she had us handcuffed for quite awhile entering orders. One thing worth noting tasty was the hush puppies. Cooked crunchy but were kinda small. 10 for almost $8. Unfortunately nobody said their food was delicious just mostly complaints. Server probably shoulda had help like a runner especially since they added gratuity at 20%. Pretty cool decor & rustic feel but doubt I'll be coming back here.

I had my mom's 70 birthday party here. This place was amazing! They were so accommodating. I needed a place that could host up to 25 people and they had a special room, off to the side. If I wanted it private, there were doors. They let us come in early to decorate and we were there a total of 4.5 hours. The service was amazing. I am so thankful for the hospitality we were shown! Thank you, to everyone that helped us, last night! You all rock!

The loaded grill cheese was amazing. Everyone had great food- and the app was great. Wasn't a fan of the queso with the pretzels- but the other 2 mustards were plenty for me to dip in. The sweet potato fries with garlic aioli would bring me back for aure

The decor and atmosphere is very comfy. Our server was amazing and attentive. We had the TJ burgers and the In Bacon we Trust burger. Both were very good with out being overwhelming with chorizo and bacon.

Service is so-so at times. Food is good. A bit high I thought. Good atmosphere. Looks like a great bar. I believe a foot rail is needed though

I love this place! They have an outstanding homemade black bean burger and their homemade chips and French onion dip are delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance is good, given it's a very large, very open room. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food, a great list of taps and time to take it all in.

Stopped in with two other couples for dinner today and it did not disappoint! Food was very good & service was too! The place got a bit busy but our server never missed a beat! Drinks were on point and we will definitely go back!

Good food and great service. We found parking right in front of the restaurant. We like the fact that there's a good place right downtown in Elyria.

This place is incredible! Angie took care of us, she was attentive and made some great recommendations. I got the carnivore pizza, it was a great pie! My wife got the grilled chicken fajitas which were very tasty as well. We shared the raspberry cheesecake for dessert and didn't leave a crumb. As a side note, unrelated to the food, the ambiance was very cool!

Amazing find for an I-80/I-90 traveller. Take a couple of minutes to go to revitalizing down Elyria. The Foundry is an outstanding restaurant and tavern. Awesome beer and bourbon list, great specials. Our meals (caprisi, wasabi deviled eggs, and spaghetti Asian were all delicious. Great, attentive service. Highly recommend for anyone passing thru, or staying at the courtyard or Hampton. Bonus: take an extra minute and go tourist the waterfall a block off the main drag. Beautiful!

Great ambiance! Pretty good food. Vegetarian friendly as well as meat eaters. I would def recommend if in DT Elyria.

Charming converted historic building with a proliferation of flat screen TVs (in case that's what you like); wide variety of food and drink items on the menu; the noise level was a bit excessive for us as we were hoping to talk easily with each other - we can see how it would be energizing if that's what you're looking for. We opted for this restaurant over the chains in town, seeking character and menu variety. We found these, but unfortunately the screens, the noise, and the seemingly understaffed waitstaff were challenging for us. The pizza was great, the day's special grilled chicken salad was on par with what Wendy's offers (and a bit smaller). If you're looking for a restaurant downtown, you don't have many options and this place works.

Great place. Casual but well executed menu. My sister had the salmon burger. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The home made chips were crisp, salty, and delicious. Friendly, attentive service was impressive. Definitely worth a return visit.

I was in the area for a meeting and 1/2 way through my meeting realized I skipped breakfast. I looked up nearest restaurants to find a place for lunch. Foundry was less than 10 mins away and the pictures looked promising. The interior is a bit dark but the staff was very friendly. I sat at the bar and started with the sweet Thai chili boneless wings. They were good but I didn't really taste any sweet Thai flavor. They taste like well seasoned chicken bites but no additional flavor. The southwest salad was full of flavor. I'm happy the bartender brought the salsa, sour cream and guac on the side because I think all mixed together would have taken away from the crispiness of the lettuce. The dressing is already on the salad so any additional moisture would have been too much. I have a meeting in the area about once a month and I will adding Foundry to my visit. I look forward to trying more things on the menu.

The waitress Autumn took care of us. I ordered the Monday special burger. Excellent. My wife ordered the quesadilla burger it was delicious also. I recommend it!

I always had good food before but today was the worst. The sweet potatoes were not much bigger than the ball of sweet butter on top. One was so small and had so little flesh that it looked like it was just the shell of one that was previously eaten. It was returned. My portabello sandwich was small, dismal and disappointing. Very little of anything between the bread and could have passed for buttered bread at first glance. It had one small slice of mushroom on each half. It should have been called an onion sandwich as it had a few stringy carmelized onions and not much else. The pork chops were also different and not served as they had been in the past. One had a sliver of apple and the others had nothing. The fact that the sweet potatoes and my sandwich made it to the table is concerning. Never should have left the kitchen.

My husband and I have always had a great time at the foundry. Food is great, service is always on Point and good vibes all around.

I want to give Foundry five stars because the food is consistently delicious and the space is inviting and lively. The service is also consistent - if you enjoy being treated like an annoyance and waiting far longer than necessary to get orders in and your check taken care of. Look, this place could be fantastic and clearly has some issues with staffing where there are sometimes not nearly enough servers working the bar and floor. But even on the best days, the servers - as a whole, it's not isolated to one or two, it's all of them - pull the most obvious tactics for ignoring tables by appearing busier than they are. I was a server, I know the game. They will do everything to avoid eye contact, with the quick head sweeps to look like they're checking on things as they move through too quickly to prevent you from catching their attention unless you are prepared to wave them down. They also have a habit of checking on only one table at a time and then heading back to the bar to chat and "pick up drinks" aka hang out til one set of drinks are made, then huffing and looking around when they do deign to check on you to give the appearance of being rushed and busy every time they choose to stop by your table - it's pretty clear they just don't give a crap about moving things along. I don't need them to treat me like their best friend, but damn sometimes I just want another drink after finishing my first. Let me spend more money! I have only once, after multiple visits to this spot, had a server who checked in on my table regularly and got us our drinks, food, and check within a reasonable amount of time without making me feel like I was a massive inconvenience. The staff needs some training. This can be a real sh*t job and I'm not asking for royal treatment by any means (I don't think anyone should kiss a** just for a tip), but I don't want to wait 15 minutes to get in an order, wait 15 minutes after finishing a drink to ask for another, and wait then another 15 minutes to get the check once I'm done with my food. I don't want to have to flag someone down every single time just for the basics of service to be fulfilled. Furthermore I have never once, after a year plus of coming here, encountered a manager or owner. No manager has ever introduced themselves or checked in, I never see anyone managing the floor to ensure things are moving along. Despite being relative regulars by this point, no one recognizes us, no one bothers to. Much as I want to love this place, it's increasingly difficult to justify going. When every night there feels like an off night, it gets pretty tiring. TLDR: could be great, it's worth a visit for the food, don't expect much from the service.

First time here and so good! Fantastic menu for all likes and great rustic atmosphere! Nice bourbon selection at $5 for a 2oz pour and full bar menu. The best part for me was the front dining room with fresh flowers on the table and garage doors that open to the street. Plenty of parking on the street or a private parking lot.

Once again, our party was impressed by Foundry Kitchen's awesome menu and excellent service! Shout out to Sarah, our server, who was friendly and attentive to our dining needs! The ambiance was spacious and comfortable with great music to entertain customers! Omg! The dill pickle pizza! I just didn't want the fun of this pizza to end! Get a side of ranch to dip each bit in. Casey the bartender was kind and super attentive...but truly, they all are. Now.. if only they would allow dogs, I'd be here every day!

Great food & service! Decor is fun too! We went early, about 3, with a group of eight. We did make reservations just in case. It got extremely busy later so we were glad we went early. I recommend you give it a try you wont regret it!

We grabbed take-out as the open air front part of the restaurant was closed, and we are not yet comfortable eating indoors, due to Covid. We were able to place an order at the bar and our meals were ready in about 15-20 minutes. We took a nice walk around the area while we waited. Our meals were great, nice and hot. The sweet potato fries were awesome!

We go here regularly and love the food, drinks and decor. We've had the pizza, appetizers, many burger specials and most recently the taco salad on Taco Tuesday. It was just as awesome as all Then other food we've had here. Servers are always friendly and attentive to food allergies. This is a regular spot on our dinner out rotation.

Kept hearing good things about this place so we decided to come. We ordered the salsa and guac to start with. The salsa had a gross flavor, we didn't bother eating it and the guac was salty. I ordered boneless wings which were good and my partner ordered the burger and he liked it. The French fries were weird. I think it was the fact that they didn't taste fresh. On top of that we were sitting indoors and yet we were swatting away little bugs that kept trying to fly to our food. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be here. Overall, not a place I want to experience again.

First and likely my last time here. Great concept, wonderful scratch menu with a large local selection. Specials Monday thru Friday, including 3 for $5 Taco Tuesday. The bar has a great craft beer selection with custom cocktails. We came out tonight as a party of 9 to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations for 6:30, arriving a few minutes early, we were sat immediately and then we just SAT. After a few inquiries a server finally made her way to our table, introduced herself and walked away. Once drink orders were taken, out server Christen disappeared again. Upon reappearance, she took food orders rather quickly, too quick for first time patrons. It looked like our food was finally coming out, one order at a time by servers from other stations, christen was not one of them. Plates were missing, condiments never brought and drink orders not refilled unless you asked quite a few times. The food was good, great even. We had pizza, tacos, chicken and waffles, crab cakes, pretzels and house made chip dip. Did I mention the food was great! The service was bad, really bad. It was a Tuesday night, approximately 10 or so other tables were occupied, not a busy night at all. I understand that as a party of 9 gratuity is automatically billed, even if the tabs are split into multiple checks. Unfortunate for us, the service was not 20% worthy. As a former bartender and server, I feel confident in posting a not so good review. I hope the service gets better, the Foundry is an eclectic funky discs with awesome food.

Food is good, service just depends on who you get.... The area around this place is still up and coming but the inside is pretty cool, very well updated and perfect for a night out or a quick bite.

Food was good, service was ok - but honestly this was the first time I have been asked to leave a restaurant to seat another group! From the time we sat down until the time we were asked to leave was 1 1/2 hours. We were winding down our visit with the couple that we were with but in the many years that I have dined out - this was a first!

Like EVERYTHING about The Foundry. Food is terrific and I love the great variety of bourbon!

Service always takes a really long time here, so don't go here if you're in a hurry. Food is always good, and service is always friendly; it just takes a long time for your order to come out.

Great place to eat in downtown Elyria. The decor captures some of the history of the town while creating an inviting atmosphere coupled with delicious food! We have eaten here multiple times and have found the service is always good. Definitely worth the trip downtown!

We often get this for my wife and I on a Friday or Saturday night. We often get as takeout, but also have dine in on occasion. I recently tried the Thai spicy meal. And I was excellent. I would recommend this to anybody who is looking for both ambience in restaurant, or takeout.

Went here to check out the food at a potential rehearsal dinner location and we were in LOVE!! Grilled cheese was perfect, we also got pizza, Mac and cheese and a few appetizers and everything was excellent. Cannot wait to come back!

. My husband and I went with our one-year old son. We sat by open windows and the staff was super accommodating. I had the FKB IPA and it was incredible. My husband got the fish and chips and loved it. We had a great experience and I wish I lived closer.
