Brothers Restaurant Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"A night at Brothers Restaurant in the Richmond is all about meat. The Korean barbecue spot uses charcoal rather than gas grills, which lends a deep smokiness to the already-flavorful meats. Expect to clear multiple mountains of marinated spicy pork or just-sweet-enough bulgogi (which you can order a la carte or as part of a two-, four-, or six-person set), plus endless banchan and heaps of japchae. Hood fans are firing overhead at all times, and sizzling is a constant backtrack, so don’t be surprised if you have to use your outside voice to be heard from across the table. It’s all part of the experience at this lively group spot, as is clinking frosty glasses of Cass to ring in a birthday or toast to a last night in the city. photo credit: Melissa Zink Food Rundown photo credit: Melissa Zink Bulgogi You’ll easily polish off this mound of beef—the thinly sliced meat stays juicy even after being charred on the grill and leans on the sweeter side. photo credit: Melissa Zink Spicy Pork Another hit in the meat department. The house-marinated pork isn’t too spicy but leaves a mild lingering heat. photo credit: Melissa Zink Japchae Noodles Creamy and packed with tender bits of beef, this is a great option if you’re trying to round out the meat-heavy meal. Seafood Pancake This shrimp-and-squid-loaded stunner could be an entrée on its own, but you should order one for the table. It’s got the light, crispy edges we look for in a Korean pancake and doesn’t feel heavy." - Julia Chen

Food was so bland and gross. The philly had rubbery meat with zero flavor. It was honestly the worst philly I have ever had. The fries were ok but didn't have any seasoning either. I took a bite of my husband's burger and spit it out. It was so freaking dry and overcooked I'm not sure how he even ate it. He ordered it medium well but that thing was burned. Absolutely zero flavor or seasoning. The wings were also overcooked without and juices left. There was no seasoning, it was just covered in cold sauce. Don't waist your time. There are tones of better options close by.

By far the best club sandwich I've had. Food was fresh and flavorful. Bread toasted just right. Manager Josh customer service was super!! Will definitely be back

Google
Friendly staff and amazing food! Me and my boyfriend got carry out our first time trying earlier this week and the cheesesteaks are the best we’ve had in a while! We then went again our (2nd time this week) and once again did not disappoint I knew it was a smash hit when there was a lady dancing while eating when we arrived😂

Four Brothers Bistro & Grill is a well-kept secret on Lombardy Street in Richmond, VA, on the corner of a brick mall not too far from Maymont Park. Four Brothers used to have a Food Truck, but now they’re proud to serve you from their brick and mortar establishment seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. My husband and I were greeted warmly by Josh, the manager, as soon as we entered the restaurant. Josh welcomed us by telling us all about the menu, featured on the left when you enter, and the daily special, the loaded Texas Jack Burger. We soaked up all the tasty details about this diverse menu, which included gyro pita wraps, black and bleu burger, turkey cheddar bacon sub, Reuben sandwiches, chicken Caesar Wrap, Greek salad, and Cobb salad, in addition to sides such as potato salad and Volcano fries. We had made up our minds that we wanted to order the Philly cheesesteak and the bacon cheese fries, as I had thoroughly enjoyed this meal previously at the sadly now-closed Virginia Center Common location a few years back with a friend. A victim of the Pandemic, this location of Four Brothers was the sole reason that we decided to make the trip to Four Brothers on Lombardy. When our orders came up so quickly, we were dazzled by how inviting and scrumptious our melting cheese looked all over our subs and fries! Steaming hot cheese dancing with sauteed onions and thinly sliced, sauteed steak, between two toasted sub rolls, made this cheesesteak a delight. I chose mozzarella (that’s the classic choice for a Philly cheesesteak, or so I thought?) and my husband enjoyed American cheese (the *other* standard cheese choice for Philly cheesesteaks). Whose steak sub was better? It was impossible to decide! There’s nothing I enjoy more than potato skins on French fries, so these cheese fries did not disappoint. Leaving the skin on the fries not only makes them more attractive to look at - ah, brown ridges and bumps, there you are - but more flavorful as well. These fries were fried perfectly, so that they remained crisp under the melted cheese and chopped bacon. Let’s talk about that bacon - it was rendered flawlessly to give it that crispy crunch, that thick texture, that salty, meaty flavor. It’s time to return to Four Brothers to try their burgers, as many people mentioned in their Google reviews how much they enjoyed them. When do you plan to go to Four Brothers?

Google
The food here is amazing. But what good is amazing food without an amazing staff behind the counter!! Very friendly people and a great atmosphere. Fast service and a clean seating area. I got an 8" supreme cheese steak and it's a huge 8 inches. A guy obviously measured this one!! 🤪 👍 Greatfresh cut fries too!!

Google
This place was empty for some strange reason. The food was awesome. Fresh cut fries were the highlight, but the burger was also great.

Google
This was my first time trying this place. It was good. The cheese fries were awesome. I had an original Philly, and it was good. I didn't like the fact that when I swallowed my food, some of it was still in my mouth. Like I couldn't swallow the whole bite at one time. I couldn't tell if it was cheese or meat 🤔. Other than that, it was delicious.

Google
This place is AWESOME! The folks on the grill were amazingly friendly. I ordered 2 Chicago Dogs, which was a mistake because they were huge! This is also the first place outside of Seattle that I saw Seattle Dogs on the menu. My daughter got the Texas burger...perfectly cooked. The fries were on point. We will most definitely be back.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for a standard burger or cheesesteak, you've come to the right place. Located on the corner of Broad & Lombardy, they cater to the VCU crowd and often have Ram-related specials. Every Tuesday, they have burgers and fries for like $9. And they don't skimp on the portions! Standard fast food environment, yet with a small business vibe. I'm not sure if this is a chain or not. Spanish speaking (Latino-owned?) and super friendly. I got the black and bleu burger and was not disappointed, thoughtfully cooked to the temperature if your choice. The fries are, I believe, Russet potatoes w/ skin-on. Not my fry-of-choice, but still good. The burger was perfect. Definitely will be back here routinely when in the mood for this fare. They also have gyros, which I look forward to trying.

Yelp
Came for a mid-day snack on my frequent travels to Richmond. First time here and really enjoyed it. Polite staff and fairly diverse spins of classics. Absolutely loved my volcano fries which had bacon, cheddar, hot peppers, and Buffalo sauce. Fresh cut and delicious. The gyro was filled nicely but just a bit basic. Solid value though. I'd come back for the burger over the gyro next time

Yelp
Perfect place for a quick, casual, hot bite. They have plenty of options and their pita is always delicious. You can also get a student discount, as well as many various other specials!

Yelp
One of my favorite sandwich shops in Richmond. The food is absolutely delicious, everything freshly made and comes out QUICK!

Yelp
I needed a quick lunch before driving home to Norfolk from Richmond and a quick Yelp search led me to Four Brothers. It's located near VCU, so I totally get the fast-casual vibe they got going on to appeal to the nearby college students. They have pretty reasonable prices; for a Greek Burger & French Fries combo, I spent a little over $10 and got a decent amount of food. It was on the greasier side (about what you'd expect from a burger place), but pretty tasty nonetheless. Overall, I definitely recommend a meal from Four Brothers if you're looking for an alternative to drive-through fast-food joints.

Yelp
This place is a gem. They're serving up delicious sandwiches and wraps. This was my first visit and I got the gyro - excellent combination of well-seasoned lamb and creamy tzatziki sauce. My beau has been eating here for a while and is a huge fan of the Chicago Dog - if you're familiar, this is like your traditional Chicago-style hotdog, only on steroids. Next time I want to try the Reuben Dog.

Yelp
Soon as I walked through the door my order was taken after I was greeted. Menu to your left. Delicious aroma in the air. Not a long wait. The black bean burger is so delicious.

Yelp
Chef Candra reviews Four Brothers Bistro and Grill 711 N. Lombardy St, Richmond, VA, 23220 1080 Virginia Center Pkwy, Glen Allen, VA 23059 I had a Falafel wrap, Black bean burger with fries and a Greek salad. The falafel was delicate yet full of flavor. And the pita it was wrapped in was soft to the touch. The bean burger was a great alternative to meat. They seasoned the ingredients to perfection. Once I tasted the fries, it's hard to imagine eating frozen ones ever again. They were slightly salted and had a touch of a vinegar like flavor on the finish. Lastly, I tasted the Greek salad. Oh was it Devine. All the peppers, feta cheese, tomatoes, red onion, etc was filling to say the least. I had plenty for lunch the next day. This Bistro has been known for making the BEST Cheesesteaks outside of Philly! It is their #1 seller I've been told. Mr. Nader Hagen left his hometown to not only get his culinary degree but pursue his culinary dreams too. I can tell you first hand the menu is made of the freshest ingredients! Additionally, all items are appealing to the eye from the fresh hand cut French fries to the Gyros. Every plate sure is great. Keep an eye out as you're on the road because they have a food truck too. All College students receive 10% off daily with a valid student I.D. Mondays from 5pm-9pm is College night. Receive 10% off with student I.D. Tuesday's is burger night. They also offer catering services. My rating is a 4.0 out of 5. I with they had a location in Maryland. I truly enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning the next time I am in Richmond, Virginia. #FourBrothersBistro #FourBrothersBistroAndGrill #FourBrothers #ChefCandraApproves Amazon Prime Bon Appétit Magazine #Delish #EducatedEater #NeighborhoodGem #Cheesesteaks #Burgers #Fries #Subs #Bistro #RichmondVA #Richmond #Virginia #Commonwealth #RichmondVA #ComfortFood #Everyplateisgreat #Catering #CateringServices #Falafel #Wraps #Gyros

Yelp
Such a great place! I put off trying this place for way too long and totally regret it, I could've been eating here all this time! Burgers are really big, pretty greasy but sometimes thats just what I need. (More often than sometimes tbh.) They also have super good fries comparable to five guys fries but better and they give you way more. I respect that they have a bottle of buffalo sauce near the drink machine and ketchup dispenser. More places should do that. I had their texas jack burger I think, it was a special variation of a burger they already have but a little spicier, more fun stuff on it. Absolutely loved it. Brought my picker eater brother here too and he liked it as well. Service was chill, friendly, and flexible. Accessibility is alright here too. Handicap parking and ramp are close to the front door and there was a good amount of space for my brother's wheelchair to move around. I don't think we had to move any chairs or tables to get him comfortable at the table, which is rare. The place was empty though because we went right as a thunderstorm was rolling in, so I'm not sure if a full house would decrease accessibility or not.

Yelp
Per the recommendations from one of my social media foodie groups, my daughter and I paid a visit to this spot! In 2023 I'm going right in on a 5 point scale, so here it goes: Customer Service: 5/5 (very friendly and helpful), Food: deluxe steak and cheese sub (onions, peppers and mushrooms with provolone, $12.99): 2.5/5, lacked seasoning, the steak wasn't very tender and the veggies could have been sautéed a bit more. The toasted roll was amazing and toppings were very fresh! Bacon cheeseburger and fries ($11.99): 4.5/ 5; the burger was well seasoned and cooked medium well and was still very juicy! Bun to burger ratio was perfect as well as all the topping being plentiful and fresh! The boardwalk fries were super hot but needed that good double fry to become crispy but the malt vinegar mixed with ketchup sealed the deal! The bbq wings fried hard 4/5 (my daughter's rating $13.99 a dozen), sauced perfectly, cooked to order and overall a good wing, varied in size but most were meaty! We're definitely going back for the burger and wings!

Yelp
First time here the food was ok.... I wouldn't go out of my way to get some... The portions was good on the fries but besides that didn't care much for it. Cheese steak was just ok. Food court Philly taste better. Reuben was small wasn't worth jt

Yelp
Just had a damn fine gyro. Double protein. Guy at counter was awesome, glad I followed his recommendation. Hardworking crew. 10/10

Yelp
What a great spot. It remind me of the Five Guys Burger chain, but with many more options. The staff was friendly and knew the menu well. We waited less than 10 minutes for our food after ordering. Everything was fresh and delicious. My sons ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken wrap, both were good but the chicken was amazing. I had the falafel wrap, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked crisp. Ordering falafel is risky but this time it was worth it. Overall this place gets five stars for originality, great food, and good service.

Yelp
Finally got to try four brothers bistro. Was able to get both the burger and the cheesesteak with fries. Reminded me of five guys. All were prepared pretty well. Friendly staff and a decent sized place inside to eat. Would go back again!

Yelp
I have been to Four Brothers several times throughout the past 2 years and I can say without a doubt they have delicious burgers, subs, and fries. The restaurant staff provides very good customer service and you can tell they appreciate their customers.

Yelp
November 3, 2020 4:59pm Lombardy location I ended up at Four Brothers Bistro Grill Grill on Lombardy because the one in Glen Allen has shut down. That was very disappointing because it was closer to my house. However, the food was so good that I definitely wanted to go to Lombardy to see if it's just as good. I was greeted immediately and there was no one in the restaurant, but we are in the middle of a pandemic. The gentleman that greeted me was very nice and took my order. I asked if I could eat in the restaurant and he told me yes. I wasn't sure because there were chairs on top of tables but I guess for social distancing. I ordered the steak and cheese with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, cheese whiz and mozzarella cheese. And of course the home fries. Did I mention they have cheese whiz?! Yummy Can I just tell you that this by far has been the best steak and cheese I've ever eaten. As a matter fact I am on my way back. Because the food is so good it really is disappointing that they had to shut down one location. Do I recommend this restaurant, absolutely! I recommend that y'all advertise more and I recommend that you put more cheese whiz on the sandwich. Otherwise, perfection!

Yelp
This is more of a 3.5 rating. After a lovely stroll through Maymont Park, hubby and I had a hankering for a proper burger. It was such a beautiful day, I pictured us sitting outside a neighborhood restaurant - somewhere like Beauvine Burger Concept - and enjoy the scene. Turned out, Beauvine didn't open until 4PM (temporary COVID hours, according to their website) so we searched for burgers elsewhere. Four Brothers popped up the top of our Yelp search with great reviews, so we called and placed an order for pick-up: the Texas burger for hubs and a falafel wrap (I had a change of heart when I saw the picture on the website), both with French fries and a drink for an extra dollar. When we arrived, I was glad we had ordered in advance. Located in a strip mall facing a gas station, it didn't exactly match the romantic lunch I had pictured in my head nor the idyllic end to our day date. There was no outside seating - not from what I could see anyway - and while indoor dining was available, we opted to enjoy our food in the car. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Texas burger, made medium-well and topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions and BBQ sauce. What's not to like. My falafel on the other hand was...let's say, "womp womp". The wrap comes with two huge, slightly-smashed patties and a whole lot of iceberg lettuce. Oh, so much iceberg lettuce. And then there was the overpowering taste of cumin after one bite. Now, I'm a fan of cumin; but as with any spice, there is a limit to how much you should use before it takes over your dish. In this case, it was all I could taste. Not garlic, not onions, or parsley. Just cumin, iceberg lettuce, and pita bread. The silver lining was the generous helping of hand-cut French fries that came with my meal. While I didn't finish my wrap, I devoured those fries and could have ordered more. They were perfect. I struggled with this rating because, while I didn't enjoy my meal, my husband very much enjoyed his. The service was also very friendly and it's clear this is a beloved fixture in Richmond. If I am every in town again and Four Brothers pops up on my radar, I would give them another shot - but maybe order the Texas Burger instead.

Yelp
Four Brothers is such a great choice for delivery in downtown Richmond. I discovered them recently while Uber Eats was promoting a "Summer Friday" free delivery special. I had never heard of the restaurant nor knowingly driven past it, so it was exciting to see a menu so reasonable and extensive. For my first order (which arrived promptly), I ordered the club sandwich, a cheesesteak with wiz, and chicken fingers with fries and honey mustard as the sauce. Both the chicken and the steak were delicious! I would absolutely order both again, and I love that they didn't skimp on the honey mustard. They actually provided enough for the whole tenders platter, which seems pretty rare these days. The fries were nicely cut as well. The steak was loaded with delicious cheese, which made me so happy. I've had some sad steaks since moving to Richmond, and this was much better made. I wasn't a fan of the club. It immediately started getting soggy, likely due to being hot. I feel like a club should be cold, or at least have the option while ordering (from another review it seems that's a point of contention?). I couldn't save the sandwich for the next day, as I originally planned, due to the sogginess. I'm looking forward to trying more options from their menu, but I know the cheesesteak, for one, will be a repeat order!

Yelp
I saw the food truck before when they had the food trucks festival at the mall once. I think they only sell cheesesteaks when the food truck is around. Anyways, when I found out they actually had a local restaurant I decided to stop by and grab a quick lunch before going to Kroger, which is literally across from the parking lot! I walked in a bit confused and the guy greeted me and asked what I wanted and I told him I'm new here and he just said, "Okay," to me. I skimmed the menu briefly and notice they made cheesesteaks, gyros and burgers. I opted for their Texas burgers and got it well done. It comes with fries and for one dollar more you can get a drink. I saw they have many deals like burger nights, collage students, and military discounts too! It wasn't too busy, but I liked how you can see the chef throwing down in the back making my patties and burger and whatnot. I waited for like 15 minutes until my food was called with the number of my receipt to be picked up. The burger was alright, not the best I've ever had, but okay. It had beef patty (of course), bacon, cheese, onions and barbeque sauces inside. The patty was overcooked and a bit dry to me. The fries were good, they have black peppers and salt on the tables. They do have saracha sauce and ketchup, mustard near the drink sections. Overall: The service and food was okay. The burgers are huge, hence why I couldn't finish it and ended up taking the leftovers home. They gave a reasonable amount and the price seems reasonable for the burgers.

Yelp
I ate lunch here with some friends and they all loved their food. They ordered sandwich type items. I think this is one of those places where you have to just order whatever they specialize in. So I (being different) ordered wings (teriyaki) and a pasta salad. I was not pleased. My friends like it here so I will try again and update my review.

Yelp
I had brunch yesterday with BFF. It was my second time in this store; BFF said she has been there several times. At the counter, I ordered a small Philly Cheesesteak and a side of Onion Rings. Water to drink. We took our seats, and perhaps 10 minutes later, the food was delivered to our table in 2 wire baskets. Onion Rings first. Very hot. Had to go slowly. They were quite good; I ate half and brought half home. Next, the Philly Cheesesteak. Now, I eat Cheesesteaks, Subs, and Gyros with a knife and fork. And I usually bring my own steak knife and fork. But yesterday I forgot them:( It's nearly impossible to carve up food that's in a wire basket! Especially with the plastic flatware supplied by the bistro. So I transfer my PCS, in it's paper wrapper, to the 2-top. With the plastic utensils, I made an abomination of it. It was still good, just very sloppy. Half there, and half taken home. The ride home did not improve it one bit! But I ate that half earlier today, and it was still good. I'll be back. Armed with my own utensils, I want to try their BLT, French Fries, and Carrot Cake. The store was clean, both men I interacted with were very pleasant. Parking was easy in the shared lot. Bonus! Chatting in the parking lot after we left, the waiter comes out the door and yells, "Hey!" I noticed he had a tote in his hand. My tote, containing my MacBook. I totally left it in the restaurant. I don't recall how much tip I left, but next time I'll be sure to tip generously.

John D.

Yelp
Great burgers and onion rings. Subs are also pretty good. Staff is polite and bright.

Yelp
Great cheese steaks and great hosts! My daughter moved across the street to ascend apartments as a VCU student and we ate here after her move in. Now we know she will have a good meal across the street. The chicken Cesar wrap was also fantastic. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Yaaammyyy! We tried Gyro and chicken pita I guess. Fast and fresh! Veryr friendly staff! Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch with babe! We both got steak and cheese subs, 8". I requested no mayonnaise and my boyfriend requested no mushrooms. Instead of fries, we chose an alternative which was a salad. It was $1 extra. We also ordered a drink. My order came without tomatoes and the salad wasn't worth it. It was in a pre-made plastic container that looked like it had been sitting for a day or two and it was full of cheese, other veggies (onion, olives, banana peppers) and ice burg lettuce. Everyone says how good they were but I was a little disappointed. The sandwich didn't taste "special". My bf didn't eat the salad or finish his sandwich. It was $30 for not fulfilling meal.
google avatar

Jojo W.

Yelp
What can I say...I really enjoyed this burger. With the exception the lack of mayo. I will ask for more especially fornthe amount of meat on the Havoc Burger. It also came with fries which were natural cut. Im not much into natural cut fries but these were good. I also got cheese on the side and wasn't a fan of it. I will be back.

Yelp
This place is great. Good portions and the onion rings are amazing!!!! Best steak sandwich I've had in Virginia so far
google avatar

Liberty D.

Yelp
I can't complain about this place at all. I had a really late lunch and ordered a cheeseburger. It was served on a brioche bun and a side of hand it fries. It also came with a fountain drink. The burger was flavorful and I would definitely order it again. The fries were seasoned as I prefer and I generally enjoy hand-cut fries. Next time I am going to try a wrap.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped here late after work and glad I did. I had the chicken philly and I have to say it was the best I ever had. I would definitely recommend this place. Not only are they fast at preparing your food, they were friendly. The price was not bad at all.
google avatar

Nic R.

Yelp
Oh man, food was borderline inedible. If you LOVE salt, get the cheesesteak. Hard pass

Morgan F.

Yelp
We love this place! The workers are always so kind and the food never fails to be delicious. Also, the building is really clean.

Yelp
Four Brothers is known for their tasty Burgers and Philly Cheesesteaks. But if you want a close to perfect authentic Lamb Gyro from Greece, this is the place you need to go to!!! The best Lamb Gyro Richmond has to offer a foodie or anyone for that matter.

Yelp
I stopped in here with my good girlfriend on her lunch break. It was my first time here and I must say it was a great choice. My friend ordered this tuna melt sandwich thingy with onion rings which looked amazing. She totally enjoyed her meal. I had the medium size supreme philly with steak, white American cheese, no mushrooms, and a small cheese fry. It was absolutely amazing. The location was clean and the guys behind the counter was nice and pleasant. The food was hot, fresh, and cooked to order. I truly enjoyed and will definitely return in the near future. I been looking for a good spot with my kind of what I call a good and greasy meal. So many more things I wanna try on the menu.
google avatar

Caleb Y.

Yelp
Been coming here for about 4 years and today was the first time I was let down. I ordered the falafel wrap just to try something different with no tomatoes. Clearly heard the man on the phone tell the chef no tomatoes yet they were still on the wrap. As for the falafel its 2 pieces on top of a very soggy lettuce bottom. It was so soggy before I even took a bite the pitas started to fall apart.

Yelp
A really nice bistro with good quality food for an affordable price. I would take burgers at this place over Five Guys. It's also located in a convenient location with plenty of seating.

Yelp
Long wait for horrible service and mediocre philly cheesesteak. One star is too good for this restaurant!

Michayla M.

Yelp
Great food at this little strip mall establishment, I've had a sub, burger and pita wrap and they've all knocked it out of the park. Coming here and not getting the fries would be a MISTAKE. Great service from Bill, and fast, hot of the grill eats. 10/10.

Yelp
How do you screw up a club sandwich? Four Brothers obviously knows how! Knowing that The Black Sheep would be busy for lunch at this time of day, I decided to try Four Brothers Bistro and Grill. The shop looked like it had its act together as I ordered an 8" Club sub and opted for the fries and drink for an additional $2.99. I heard the manager guiding the cooks behind the counter on the proper way to do things, again thinking "they've got this." I was mistaken. When I got back to my office I found a sorry-looking sandwich and very tired fries. Having only been out of the shop for 5 minutes to get back to the office, the exterior of the bun was soggy and could be wrung out. The turkey and ham tasted like they sat out overnight and the mayo had that oily feel to it. The fries looked like they had been sitting out, neglected, for hours and tasted as if that were the case. Ketchup was no help to improve the flavor. I can't believe that I paid $12 (sandwich, fries, drink + tax) for this sorry meal. I won't give it another chance but will drive past and wait at a better venue even if around the lunchtime hour. Lesson learned, that even Four Brothers can screw up a simple club sandwich and do disservice to a side of fries. ----- post script: I wound up throwing away the rest of the meal after the picture was taken

Yelp
Burgers are good an greasy. The fries are not bad and make you think of 5 Guys fries. It could use a good cleaning in there.

Yelp
Since my sad update, the restaurant contacted me directly. They apologized for the conduct of that particular staff member and has let me know that this is NOT the way they do business, as well that staff member is no longer with them. Not only that, they offered my husband and I a gift card, and asked that we please come back. My response to this is OF COURSE we will come back! We realize that the owners feel terrible about what happened, however what I said is this: "We can only control what we ourselves do, and we are only responsible for our own actions. We cannot control the actions of others." We truly love this restaurant, we love the food, and this was simply a case of one bad apple apparently. I want to thank the Owners and Mr. Kirkpatrick for coming to me and telling me how they had solved the issue and how important they felt it was TO solve the issue. This made both my husband and me feel valued by their company and THAT is TRUE customer service, to the highest caliber. Good for you Four Brothers! Thank you so much for caring about your customers!!

Yelp
Burger deliciousness! Four brothers is a small, unassuming spot at the end of a strip mall. There's nothing flashy about it, no hipster outdoor seating area, it's not an adaptive-reuse building... all of the things that most burger joints in Richmond look like. The burger speaks for itself, it doesn't need flash and glam. There is a large menu board with straightforward selections. I decided on the bacon burger and my bf chose the Philly cheesesteak. Both were absolutely delicious! My burger was cooked perfectly. The burger was juicy and tasty. I didn't have to put any condiments on it at all. The fries were fresh cut and the perfect balance of crispy and soft. My bf's Philly cheesesteak was delicious as well. I didn't get too much of a review from him because his mouth was full of cheesesteak The cost was very reasonable as well. For both of us, it was a little over $20 and we were completely stuffed. All in all, that was the best burger that I've had in Richmond. We will definitely be returning!

Yelp
So disappointed with our recent visit. We've come several times and had juicy steak and cheese subs with extra Mayo and fresh rolls. Unfortunately, today was not the same at all!!! All 3 steak and cheeses were dry. The bread was not fresh and there was no extra Mayo! The service was definitely not as good either. Won't be rushing back

Yelp
I saw Their BLT, and that was all she wrote. So, it arrived on time, I received a text letting me know it had been delivered, and I opened the delivery box. A beautiful thick Texas Toast BLT was sitting there, and let me tell you, it was delicious. The fries were great and so was the brownie. I will be ordering from here again soon. Thank you!!

Yelp
Had the best burger and philly cheesesteak here that i've ever had in my life. The customer service and charm of this little restaurant fits the ambiance of richmond perfectly. Definitely will be returning.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Quaint, quiet, located in the Kroger Shopping Center directly behind the Dollar Tree on the corner of Broad and Lombardy. Seating for about 25-30 people comfortably with clean, well-maintained eating areas. As for the food, I've visited on lunch a few times and have been happy with all of my meals. The portions are large, very fairly priced, and made to order. Can't go wrong with a stomach full of food with some leftovers at $10. My most recent visit was all about a burger; my mushroom and swiss cooked perfectly medium was A1. Fresh, NOT CANNED OR FROZEN mushrooms were a bonus for the price point... Most of the time you end up with rubbery, thinly sliced mushrooms. Not here. The extra steps for buttering and toasting their brioche buns add an additional level of texture and flavor that I have to commend. Seriously, try this place!

Yelp
I ordered a medium rare-slightly well done burger, and at first I took a couple bites and thought it might be ok, but as I started getting further into the burger I noticed the meat got significantly darker and more red. Between the 2 patties there is a total of about an inch of uncooked meat and as you can see, it seems as though the raw patty was literally on the grill for maybe 1-2 min. Each side. I have been a chef for 14 years and I've never seen someone mess up a medium rare/ slightly more well done THIS bad. When I went in to ask if this was done, the owner/boss just shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know what you want from me, THATS medium rare, there's going to be a lot of blood". I wasn't even asked if I wanted it remade, not that I necessarily wanted another one made by someone who clearly didn't even care for the consistency or quality of their food. Just would have been a nice gesture.
