"It’s hard not to love this place: not only are there outdoor movies, of course, but the food and drinks are far better than the typical popcorn and soda. For a main meal, there aretwo (equally stellar) options: the superb, gooey pizza at Four Brothers Pizza Inn, or the classic diner fare at The Grand Shack, like juicy double cheeseburgers or the TJ’s dog with bacon sauce. Save room for dessert: the Nutella milkshakes are famous for good reason." - Juliet Izon

Brings you back to 1960/70's. A lot of nostalgia. Great selection of food. Pizza restaurant and shake shack with a variety of foods. Music...fun times😀

A great time is always had by all at this fantastic family friendly Drive-in !! The mini golf is for little ones as are most of the attractions...

Very funky little place. I went on a week day and there weren’t many people so i cant speak to how full it gets or how it works in a crowd but the movie played without issue. The radio station to tune to was a tiny bit staticky on my radio so I downloaded the app and played it over Bluetooth and that worked perfectly. They also have speakers all around so you could listen with the windows down and hear fine too. Definitely a good choice if you aren’t ready to go back to theaters. Might want to being bug spray— its in a grassy and woody area.

We stayed in camper 2041. It was nice & clean, upon check in we were told meals are not allowed in camper. It's a cute little place but mini golf course was super mini, the movie was nice, as well as the food, & fire pit. I did have an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent they use & the apples that were left for breakfast were bruised so I didn't partake.

Fun little drive-in! Every employee was friendly, the whole place was terrific including their restaurant. Definitely going back, it's worth the beautiful drive!

The cutes, retro, modern, drive in movie theatre with everything you could want and more! How does this place not have 5 stars? I’m absolutely obsessed and mad that I hadn’t been here sooner. Ok the truth is there wasn’t anything playing that I really wanted to see but we finally got to come and it was the BEST. Easy process to drive in, purchase tickets (you can get them online too) taller cars in the back shorter in the front. The best part was taking our car with the rooftop tent and watching the movie right from the “stars”. So so fun! Perfect date night idea. They have finger food options and plenty of popcorn available. You can even order from the app and get it brought right to your car. Ok, also, they have frozen margaritas and they’re not even disappointing at all! So good! If you get here with time you can actually relax in the swinging benches, or catch the stars after your movie. Furry friends are welcome and accepted. That’s probably the BEST part. Such a great experience from start to finish. So cozy and dainty. Twinkle lights everywhere and the perfect mood. Would totally recommend coming here if you haven’t yet, you need to!

A slice of Americana if you ever saw one, this little single screen drive in is about two hours (give or take) outside NYC, but feels much further in all the right ways. Because of its size you need to get there early, luckily you don't have to just sit in your car. A variety of amenities like live bands, a full bar in the adjacent restaurant, a fire pit, and other activities make it worth a whole evening out of town. Pricing is very reasonable and the snack bar food is well made, freshly cooked and tasty. Movies are visually great, with a sharp and bright picture, and great stereo sound on the fm radio (they will even lend you a portable radio if your car stereo doesn't work. ) They even have an EV charger for those of you in the future with electric cars. They offer online ordering and car hop service if you phone a food order in. They are very dog friendly with dog treats, and a doggy dessert at the snack bar. There are a few drawbacks, at least from my recent (first, of many, hopefully) visits. Their website offers mini golf and a trailer you can rent to spend the night, but none were to be found. They also boast a nice craft cocktail menu, but we went on a Saturday night and the only bartender who knew how to make the cocktails was assigned to kitchen duty (which would seem ridiculous for a Saturday night), so we were stuck with some bottom shelf margaritas made with bottled mix by someone who actually claimed any other cocktail was "too complex" .. The online menu is not up to date, be sure to physically visit the snack bar to make sure if what they do and don't have. Overall, however, this place has all the heart and passion to overcome some of the negatives and is putting much more effort to keep the drive in culture alive than most.

What a great fun activity. Nothing like a good drive in movie, and the option to spend the night for the double feature. The caravana airstream hotel is so neat, and a unique twist on camping after the movie. There is a great, fun, family friendly atmosphere with the restaurant and shack for food, as well as the mini golf, fire pit, and swings. I would absolutely come back, great place for family and friends to get together.

Yelp
I stopped here for an early dinner with some friends and, quite frankly, I found it just mediocre. The atmosphere is jovial because of the fun surroundings. The actual drive in grounds are really cool. We sat outdoors on the patio. They did have plenty of seating and umbrellas for shade on warmer days. We were seated quickly as it wasn't very busy. Then we waited. We had plenty of time to look at the menu and decide on drinks and food. Finally the server came to get our order. After we gave our drink order, he walked away quickly before we could tell him our food order as well. We could not get his attention, so we waited for him to come back with drinks. . We ordered very simple drinks, and they took forever. when the server finally came back, we put in the food order, which came out much quicker. After our meal, we were not asked if we wanted anything additional, but the check was presented to us expeditiously. The food was good. We just ordered a pizza, which was tasty. We did not get refills on water, nor were we asked if we wanted additional drinks. Overall, the whole experience was quite disappointing. I probably would not go back there if I wasn't seeing a movie, or if I wasn't in the area for a particular reason.

Yelp
I have so much love for this place. It's one of the Hudson Valley's little treasures and an absolute must for locals and those visiting the area, especially in the summer. Admittedly it was a little unorganized the Monday evening that we went. The early movie started later and this meant a lot of cars were idling in the restaurant parking lot because no one really knew what was going on. In between movies on slower nights, they don't have anyone in the admissions booth, so you just wait. That's OK because you'll get a good spot on these slower nights. I do wish they allowed time for us to park before immediately starting the movie. Now let's talk about the darling concessions and amusements area. Talk about Instaworthy! But besides that, there's all kinds of refreshments and even margaritas happening and if it's during busier times, they will deliver to your car. We were too early for the movie so we just went up and ordered. I'd be beside myself if they had a vegan pizza option from the restaurant (you can order from there, too), but sadly they do not. They are vegan conscious, which is nice, but there aren't many options for us so plan ahead if you skip dinner. Bring vegan snacks. And wine (maybe that's just me). The movie watching experience was really good. I've been to a few other drive-ins where that wasn't the case due to crappy patrons not obeying drive-in etiquette, or lousy sound. This is a smaller drive-in and people seemed on better behavior. You can watch inside your car (we did, as it was raining) with your radio or outside. There's even tables and the coolest little trailer where you can actually stay for the night if you want! I think it would be so fun to have a sleepover here, harkening back to something I'd dream of doing as a kid. It's not cheap but it's a total experience like none other, right? I know that they show movies through the fall and I'm really excited to hit it up one more time for Halloween goodness. They do events in addition to movies so check out their calendar.

Yelp
Back again. If I could give 6 stars, I would. John has updated the place beautifully, great marketing. It rained again! Staff handled with aplomb, special shout out to our waiter, Kay. Food's great... don't expect thin crust, pizzas deep dish... pair it with a Greek salad or a burger and shake from the shack and you're set. Old fashioned transistor radio at my table for the movie... This is a special Hudson Valley night out... sshhh. Don't tell anyone!! Ok. Now it's 2020, and COVID is a thing, so here we are again at our favorite night out in Amenia. And it just keeps getting better. Tonight was a Broadway concert... a show bound for Broadway, that was derailed by the virus... so John brought them to the drive-in, in pickup trucks!!! Beautifully lit, voices that you'd pay over $100 / ticket to hear. And two great movies after... we stayed for the first, The Avengers. Food was better than ever, service even more so... more amenities, great social distancing guidelines. John and family... thank you guys so much, another memorable evening!!

Yelp
Great place for families and even a fun date night!! Staff is helpful and great. Food was wonderful. Area was beautiful!

Yelp
Super cute! Went for work and def would go back even if its an hour and half drive. You can also rent out airstream trailer for the night. Food was nice and fresh. Super cute areas for "Instagram pics"

Yelp
Please be aware........ Have been coming here at least 6-8 movies a season for over 15 years. During COVID they implemented an optional reservation policy to control the number of visitors. Was closed out today for the first time ever due to no reservation. Fourth time here this season, very disappointed to say the least. Feeling cheated on loyalty. Drove 45 minutes to get here. Sometimes movies are a last minute decision. LAGRANGEVILLE and Hyde Park will sadly be our future choices.

Yelp
Even in Jan I can tell this place is a gem! First off ...it's the only drive in open in NY NJ or CT. Why I have no idea...it's needed right now. We got pizza next store at their restaurant which was delightful for upstate NY. Since it is Jan nothing else was open. No snack shop (no popcorn). In the summer they have tons of cute touches including an air stream you can stay the night in. They have play stuff for kids, a fire pit and tons of cute lights. We have an electric car and were able to plug in during the movie which is an awesome perk. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

Yelp
Amenia location puts themselves out to be this amazing business and then The owners don't care for the other locations. They look abandoned, outdated and the workers seem to have given up. Personally speaking to some of them, they continuously ask for help and all the owners care for is how they can make a profit. I'm shocked some of the locations are still open. Food orders always wrong, shitty attitudes from the bad servers,.It's sad. I hope they see this and want to do better for the other locations they have. Some have the space to do just as much as Amenia does. Amenia has all these specials and food you'd never see at other locations. They get featured on NBC but little did those guys know about the frozen over priced food, made by workers who are underpaid and over worked. SAD. Spend your money somewheres else. This is not a business you should be supporting. Tip in cash, servers get charged on their credit card tips.

Yelp
I've been here twice and my only complaint is the food service being really slow. The first time I can understand a wait as I was in line with most of the other customers as everyone's seems to come and order 30 minutes or so before the movie. Food took about 45 minutes to come. My second time around I said I'm going to learn from the last time and beat the crowd. I ordered my food 45 minutes prior to movie and guess what. It took and hour to get my order, well at least half of my order. The other half of my order came to me 15 minutes before the end of the movie. Let's do some math. I ordered at 600pm, movie stated at 645pm, movie ended around 815pm. Yes I waited for over an hour and half for my food. Not acceptable. Not sure if I'll go here again or if I do in brining all of my food and drink and not order from the food stand.

Yelp
I have a goal to see movies at all of the drive-in theaters in NY. Out of 30, I have 11 to go, so I have a lot to compare it to at this point. If I were going to recommend a Drive-in to someone for their first time, this would be the type of theater I would send them to. It was such a polished experience, that I think most people would struggle to find a complaint about it. Let's start with the decor, I don't know that I have been to a more Instagram worthy theater to date. There are plenty of nods to Americana and cinema, all with a wonderful attention to detail. The grounds also have a fire pit open to all guests and an air stream that you can rent out if you want to stay the night. The snack bar has all of the snacks you know and love, plus plenty of other options. Some like the Nutella Milkshake are out of this world. If you can't find some thing on the snack shack menu(which I find hard to believe) they will even let you order off of the full restaurant menu. Can you beat that? Yes actually. If you are feeling really cozy, you don't even have to leave your car! They will deliver your food right to you if you'd like. My trip to Four Brothers was like no other theater I have been to. It's not just a movie, it's an experience. If you are in this part of the state, go and be blown away.

Yelp
Food took over fourty minutes at drive in and then was ice cold . Went inside for a drink and girl was so rude at bar and aggravated that she had to make a drink . It's def a cool vibe and great place to go with kids but be ready for rudeness and young kids working the food counter and not knowing how to run it. Could barely see movie either with the way they park the cars . Movie sound was lapsing .

Heather O.

Yelp
We love this place SO much and have shared a delightful night out with so many of our friends here! Always a great time, awesome food and most fellow attendees are polite and courteous- though you may get some douche who won't follow rules or be responsible/ respectful. Staff is downright delightful!

Erika Y.

Yelp
I am from the city, but I would say this is the best drive-in I've been to so far. The price is very reasonable - $10 per person for two movies, except on Thursdays where they offer a triple feature. According to the sign, the movies are played rain or shine. The place is very nicely decorated. It has swinging benches around a fire pit. There is a classic car parked, a telephone booth and a mock up of a statue of liberty that you can take tons of photos with. There are also a little play area for children. There are a variety of items to munch on at the concession. However, if you want something more filling, you can order from their restaurant next door. The best part is that they will deliver your food right to your car! My husband arrived early, so we decided to eat at the restaurant in their outdoor patio area which overlooks the drive-in. The bathroom is the cleanest I've ever seen for a drive-in. Perhaps it is because this drive-in is newer than the other ones I've been to. This is my favorite drive-in and I plan on coming back. I just wish it was a little closet to me. Perhaps the owners can build one in Long Island.

Linda G.

Yelp
Could you imagine going to a Movie and they get the time and movie wrong??? Horrible experience, and I couldn't speak to a manager because there's a bunch of children running the place!!!! I tried calling the owner. No answer!! I received a call the next morning from the owner, and instead of apologizing to me, and trying to rectify the problem, he basically told me it was my fault for getting the times wrong!!! Unbelievable.. I will never go back!!!!!

Lia J.

Yelp
We stayed in the camper (Hotel Caravana) and had the pleasure of trying out all the amenities on site. The open fire pit was a great place to meet people while still safely distancing. There was plenty of open space for young kids to run around. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Thomas took a special interest in helping to locate a beloved jacket that was left behind and offered to ship it back to me. Overall a great experience with lots of nostalgia and fun vibes.

Jacquie C.

Yelp
So many little touches to notice along the way, this drive-in has a lot of special touches! Very friendly, committed staff help you feel like family while you enjoy your night.

Kevin M.

Yelp
My favorite drive in because it's small and they deliver to your car whatever your heart and stomach desires. It's a dangerous combination that keeps me coming back. People are nice and friendly and the food is very good.

L L.

Yelp
Pretty cool place, something to do. Not far of a drive. It is also owned by the pizza restaurant. Food is good and staff friendly. Covid safety precautions followed.

Patsy P.

Yelp
Loved it here. Cute decor. Near the drive in and rides for the kids. Most of all we loved the chicken parm and the lasagna. The pizza is thick crusted. We like thin better.

C D.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, really comfortable and friendly, really hip digs, but still going through growing pains. They seem to be over their earlier projectionist errors, but this last visit seemed to have some audio problems. The audio broadcast just seemed to top out / get clipped during louder scenes, making even dialogue impossible to understand during action sequences. Definitely wasn't a car radio problem, since we don't have that issue with loud music. Tried multiple channels and it still sucked. The large popcorn here would be considered a small at any theater, and you won't find any butter at all, though we asked for extra. Sorry, we're fatties and are into the whole greasy-fingered experience. Allow us to indulge, please. We'll probably be bringing food in next time as it's been consistently meh. Hopefully this place finds their feet by the end of the summer, because it's really pretty nice! Oh, and while the drive-in doesn't get any deducted points for this, beware the locals. The lady next to us was letting her kid hang off her steering wheel during the entire film, and he must have laid on the horn at least four heart-stopping times. For real, lady, get ahold of your simple child so we can enjoy the film without having small coronaries throughout.

Greg J.

Yelp
We (and our 10-year old & his friend) had a blast and will be going back. The grounds are well kept, the snack bar is high-quality, the FM radio sound is good and the place is well managed. My only suggestion, at least on these super long early summer days when not dark enough to start 1st film till 8:30: don't try to pack in a full double feature. Get hold of an oscar nominated animated short or old Mickey Mouse and just show that before the feature.

Darlene M.

Yelp
Simply delightful. This is the most whimsical drive-in experience I've ever had. The screen and lot are not large, but the ambiance is lovely. There is a fire pit, strings of lights, adorable rest rooms, and you are surrounded by trees. Hungry? Eat on the patio of the connected restaurant and watch from there (Greek style pizza, milkshakes, and a bar!). I will definitely return to this place, even though it is over an hour drive away.

Daniel D.

Yelp
Current blockbusters and occasional classics shown. The nearly restaurant/pizzeria's menu is available, even with delivery to your car. Fair pricing, though ordering through the website could be smoother.

Jeanine S.

Yelp
We LOVE the Drive In movie! So nostalgic! And it's dog friendly...what more could you ask for? Oh yes, delicious Greek salad and a pizza, of course! Can't wait until next summer! Four Bros is awesome. Tonight I ordered a to go salad and pizza at the "wrong " Four Bros. I arrived and they did not have my order. Uh oh, I had called the one in Dover Plains instead of Amenia. They did not skip a beat, made my order, called the other location to let them know and I was on my way home to enjoy a large Greek salad and mushroom, pepperoni and feta pizza! Happy Friday! Thank you FOUR BROS!

Aimee L.

Yelp
Great custard soft serve ice cream! Fire pit with swings, patio, clean outdoor real restrooms. Will be back!

Amika B.

Yelp
What a fun experience! My husband and I got a night away to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Drive-In. First of all, the food at the concession stand is awesome! Next the quality of the movie and sound was far better than I expected. The whole area is so adorable with the fire pit and swings and sitting area. We didn't get a chance to order food straight to our car but I do recommend that you still order in first and pick it up yourself rather than waiting on the line. It's much faster! We will definitely be back. I just wish they were open year round!

Chandelle S.

Yelp
Atmosphere was very neat and unique! They had it decorated really cool! The food was unbelievably good, my entire family of 7 people loved their meals. The pizza was excellent! The staff was very attentive & nice. We had a wonderful experience

Amalie B.

Yelp
Food service is a bit chaotic but good itself is decent enough and Hello... a drive-in! Holy moly. I'll take that anytime.

Roberta G.

Yelp
Headed to the drive in with a bunch of friends and we had a grand old time! Highly recommend this wonderful outdoor excursion, appropriate for people of all ages! 10 dollars per person for the movie, it's two movies back to back if you want to stay! Food is brought to your car if you order. We brought out own beers and snacks! Radios to rent for free so you don't have to listen through your car radio and kill your battery
