The sushi is excellent but the portions are very small. The owner is not very social and doesn't seem to appreciate having any customers at all. I've been here a number of times and each time I wen't home feeling like I was disrespected in some way. Never a smile from the owner, never a sign of any appreciation or even passion for his work. The food is great, no doubt about it. I would not recommend this place as the experience is less than perfect.

I read the reviews of this restaurant before going and it was one of the best rated. I have to agree. The sushi here is SUBLIME! The chef is shy and serious but really charming to talk to when he warms up to his favorite subject: Jazz. (He named his restaurant after a jazz piece of the same name). The portions are the same as any other sushi place. It's small but really a gem of a find. One of the best sushi places in Los Angeles!

I personally know the owner, Chef Saito. He is quiet but a great person once you get to know him through small talk and frequent visits. As far as quality, the sushi is phenomenally good. Worth the money.
