"Experimentation is king at Four Quarters Brewing, a 10-barrel brewery in the hip city of Winooski, just outside Burlington. Here, they use oddball ingredients such as raspberries, pumpkin, and even locally made apple cider doughnuts to make rauchbiers, sours, stouts, and (of course) IPAs." - Jessie Beck

Great beer and DJs and a food truck and lawn games... On a Sunday night? And kid-friendly?! Sign me up! The beer is delicious and it's not all IPAs like so many other spots. Thanks for hosting such a fun event every week this summer.

The family stopped by on a Monday night after traveling all day, so we were hungry and ready to try a couple of beers. The beer selection was good and found they had a nice selection of their stuff in cans to go. They lost a star because they were out of several menu items that 3/4 of us were ordering. We ended up with burgers(both regular and vegan) that were ok and honestly when traveling, burgers are the last thing I want to order. ****UPDATE**** I revisited on May 7th(two weeks later) and I was able to order the Tofu Katsu sandwich and it was very good! My son is leaving the area, so that was likely my last visit and I’m glad I did. Thanks to 4Q for making my visits to the area enjoyable!

Since they changed leadership recently they lost all of their pizazz. Signage is bland. The beer selection is limited when one of the reasons we used to come here so often was because of the unique variety. The last time I came I ordered my favorite beer and it was not even available despite being listed on the sign. The food used to be great, but now the menu is smaller, the food is worse, but the prices are 20% more. Unfortunately this just does not seem like the brewery it used to be and it’s not for the better. Millennial burger joint vibes for sure. Amidst the cons with the changes, the space is still welcoming and warm. Great outdoor space and very kind staff. Service is always great.

Google
Great outdoor space! Good brewery to try out for sure. 4 stars just because of the limited selection that they had vs. other breweries around Burlington area. Other days may be better don’t get me wrong, but no flights were available when we came. They did have small pours to offer though.

Google
My "afternoon office" where I spent the last two hours of my workday. Quiet in the hours between lunch and dinner but they have wifi and there are some power outlets (near the stage). Huge selection of beers on tap and it's a great space. Outside seating also looked comfy but it was too hot this afternoon.

The rotating selection of beer is top notch and the cocktails are inspired. There’s a little something for everyone here. The lunar smash burger is a personal favorite, don’t sleep on the garlic aoli! The staff are welcoming and very efficient, also they offer excellent recommendations if you’re unsure what you want. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and I love the personality of the place, some bigger breweries lose their homegrown vibe, but not 4Q. Highly recommend the heated and covered patio if your looking to grab a pint with the pups. Also I will say as a service dog handler it is amazing dealing with a welcoming and knowledgeable staff that uphold the state and federal laws regarding service dogs accompanying their disabled handlers. Looking forward to a return trip soon.

Google
Good beer, great service. Limited food menu but it was very good.

Great bar tenders. Great atmosphere. Very chill vibe. Great place to come for one and chill or a large group. 1st time in and WILL be back for sure.

Yelp
Horrendous, avoid, and save your money: default tip is 20%+. They advertised oxtail sliders for 20$ (without tip). My buddy and I were astounded when we got a SINGULAR slider and some fries. Insane price gouging and poor advertisement. 10$ a pint for some average beers. I would not recommend to anyone

Yelp
With a great selection of brews, perfect pub menu, generous indoor and outdoor space, the friendliest staff and a good rotation of local musicians - 4QB have it ALL going on in Winooski!

Erin H.

Yelp
Great vibes! Love the indoor and outdoor seating areas. Lots of space so would be great for large gatherings. Have been told it has the best beer in Burly? I got a canned cider (and Mac and Maple), and it was really yummy. Was pretty low key (not crowded) on a Saturday night around 8:30 pm so got our drinks quickly. It's only a four because they don't have cider or seltzer on tap. Otherwise, it's a great place! And in a fun location near other cute shops and restaurants.

Yelp
As someone who likes beer but it isn't usually my drink of choice, this is probably my favorite brewery I've ever been to. They have tons of unique options (a tomato Basil sour!?) that even someone who isn't a big beer lover would be tempted to try. They also have cider, wine, and cocktails. The Bloody Mary was surprisingly well seasoned with what was clearly a fresh house mix. Both the inside (well stocked with games) and the outside have a fun brewery aesthetic. There's a stage and flyers for live music, though unfortunately we were not there during a performance. Another great spot in the tiny town of Winooski!

Josh S.

Yelp
Great Brewery! I enjoyed their beers and they had a very comfortable and cozy bar. When the weather is better, I would love to visit their patio/beer garden.

Justin C.

Yelp
Look, it's Vermont, and it's craft beer, you know it's going to be good. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, the inside has enough seating and there is outdoor space for nice weather days as well.

Mairi M.

Yelp
Super nice spot to come with friends or family--it has a very chill vibe with lots of vintage video and pinball games (very nostalgic for my parents). When my family went there were even some live performances. The space is big, with both indoor and outdoor seating and, for the outside, there are lit fire pits (which we took full advantage of whilst waiting for our food). Rather than ordering from a server, we were able to place the food orders online and have them brought to the table. The food menu is limited, but is classic American fare--everyone was able to find something they enjoyed. The drink menu is definitely where they shine more. Personally, I was a fan of the hard cider.

Kat B.

Yelp
Music was my style but excessively loud, making everyone yell to converse, making the atmosphere slightly overwhelming. Decor was cool. All 3 pinball machines were out of order in various ways, and when alerted, staff said they wouldn't get fixed until after they closed that day. My drinking companion who knows all about beer liked almost everything they tried. I liked the non-alcoholic ginger beer very much. Bathrooms were very fun to look at but very messy.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Great variety of beer friendly staff . .food options typical . Fries are good . Great patio .

Adam N.

Yelp
Been here two years in a row. It's a good brewery atmosphere with a really nice tap room. Some games, lots of tables, and dog friendly. The service both times has been weird. Met twice with unfriendly bartenders. Their sours both times have been meh, but the food was great. I'd recommend despite the drawbacks as it's a really cool spot and love that it is dog friendly.

John L.

Yelp
Always looking to try a new to me Brewery. Ended up in Wooniski Vt at this gem. Great selection of beers - had 2 porters and 3 IPAs all very good. Family of 4 all had sandwiches and burgers. Would recommend all from Rueben to Fungus Amongus Great atmosphere and super quick servise as all ordering in on your phone. Great selection of games and free pinball machines.

Rachel E.

Yelp
Another amazing brewery in Vermont. Four Quarters Brewing. Best Cheeseboard I've had during my whole stay, everything was fresh and delicious and great selection of beer. My favorites were Strawberry Shakedown IPA 7% & Smores Stout 9%. Four Quarters Brewing. Great set up, nice patio. My bartender Rob was really sweet and friendly.

Daneil P.

Yelp
Good selection of beers, but food leaves allot to be desired. Fries were cold, salty and stale. Guacamole had huge chunks of red onion in it, which is pre-made so no changes can be made. Asked for water and got straight tap, no ice nothing. The chips that came with the guacamole were mostly stuck together and somewhat burnt. This is on a Sunday lunch time with hardly anyone there. You'll need to keep walking to the bar to get service of any kind. The pretzel was the best thing I tasted. Would hate to think what this kitchen puts out when it's busy. Nice art and aesthetic, but nothing to write home about. How this place gets 5-star reviews is beyond me.

Amanda A.

Yelp
Fun place - the beers were okay, but the vibe was chill. Brought my kid and he was entertained while hubs and I had a few beers.

Tracey B.

Yelp
They have a great selection of beers, and the food is really good as well. We enjoy the vibe of this brewery, but we miss their old location

Ric N.

Yelp
An hour and 10 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich. Buffalo chicken sandwich on Pretzel roll that was so salty, I couldn't get past a bite. Irritatingly loud space. Won't be back.

Tom L.

Yelp
Huge fan of this space. It is fairly small once inside, but they have a heated patio out front and they are always more than happy to crank the heaters while you enjoy a beverage during the colder months. Reservations for inside only and they have tables well spread out and sanitizer everywhere. Super friendly service with different size pours to allow you to sample more of their extensive tap list. Many cans to go too, so be sure to ask what is available, as the list changes weekly. They offer sandwiches on site too. Inexpensive and tasty! Jalapeno popper grilled cheese is my favorite.

Christine G.

Yelp
The beer itself was nothing to remember and overall, not great. Tried a pilsner, smoothie style, IPA and sour, all 4 missed the mark. The food looked sizeable and good (although we didn't have any). Didn't see vegan food options. They have juice boxes for the kids. The ambiance was great, they played Kygo during our visit.

Troy M.

Yelp
I'm seriously concerned that they are going to start me rent at this place. I don't want to know what percentage of my paycheck goes to 4Q bi-weekly, but my financial advisor would not be happy... if I had one. The vibe and aesthetic of the taproom are spot-on. Imagine the coolest (and cleanest) basement party you've ever been to... minus the red Solo cups. I've never met a beer here that I didn't like. Today's libations included a German Chocolate Cake Stout that tastes like my grandma could pour it in a pan and bake it (I'd burn it) and a cherry-sour beer slushy. Yes, you read that correctly. If Slush Puppy integrated Four Quarters beer into their flavor rotations, AMC stock would've already squeezed. The staff is great, knowledgeable, friendly, and are basically walking billboards for the really cool 4Q merch... another "investment" I make weekly. No food this go-around, but the Maple Bacon Popper is a must-try.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I'm such a fan of checking out and supporting local breweries and I really wish I could say that this is one that I enjoy, but alas, I cannot. I came in by myself a couple weeks ago and tried their Piña Peño a sour ale w/ pineapple, jalapeño, and sea salt. It was a little flat and although the jalapeño came through quite nicely, I could not taste the pineapple. Undeterred, I came back with a friend to do a proper tasting. We ordered: Herbie - Watermelon wheat (Name I don't recall): Was mojito inspired Great Bear - Lightly smoked chocolate oatmeal brown ale Cookie Bear - Great Bear brown ale w/ raisins, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla beans The only one we both enjoyed was the Cookie Bear. Nothing else really tempted us. They didn't even seem properly carbonated. We couldn't even finish them. :( I love the ideas and creativity, but the beers just don't merit a return.

John H.

Yelp
This is a small brewery that have some good beers. I'm a really big fan of juicy NE style IPA's. They mostly have American style IPA's. I really liked the Phaze and Spectra. They have limited outdoor seating because of Covid 19.

Megan L.

Yelp
Great beer, average food, awesome vibes! The beer selection is extensive and reasonably priced. No flights of beer sadly, but they do offer 4-5oz pours instead which I appreciate as someone who likes to try them all :) The food is eh - the chicken tenders (from the kids menu, mind you) were 80% breading that was extremely greasy, not the kid-friendly standard chicken tenders I was expecting. Kettle chips were fine, French onion dip was pretty flavorless. The Cheeseburger in Paradise was decent, nothing special. Go for the beer, stop elsewhere for food - all around a great spot!

Monique A.

Yelp
Good beer, decent poutine.. nice comfortable place to hang out. They even have board games!

Joseph G.

Yelp
Oh my god. Brian, look at that beer garden. It's so big. It looks like one of those German beer gardens. Who understands those German beer gardens. I mean, the beer garden, it's just so big. I can't believe it's so rectangle. It's just out there. I mean, it's great. Look, it's just so cool. I like big beer gardens and I cannot lie... What's not to like about this place. Great micro brews, good food, friendly people and atmosphere, and your four legged friends are welcomed. I hope they bring back the mango lassi. That was amazing (as are their other flavors and concoctions). Definitely worth a visit if you are in and around Burlington.

Caroline H.

Yelp
Second time going to Four Quarters, first time at the new location. Planned to have beers and lunch and leave with some canned beer and merch. Never happened because we were told they don't take cash. Good luck with that business model!

Brian R.

Yelp
After we found the location (apparently their old location on Canal Street is now just used for brewing) we had a great experience. It was a bit confusing figuring out how to get to the entrance as you need to make your way around a large oddly shaped rotary in the center of town. Upon arrival we parked in a HP parking spot as my wife uses a wheelchair. It is a pay by plate lot. Navigating from the HP spot to the entrance was a bit dicey as the road and side walk was all uneven, but once we made it to the entrance it was all nice and level. The staff greeted us warmly and we asked if we could sit outside. They had some covered tables out on a porch/deck and then they had an uncovered area with hanging rope edison light bulbs and some vines of hops growing up the sides. The perimeter of this area was surrounded by wooden benches and low wooden tables in a garden type atmosphere with a fire pit. The bar was willing to let us try several samples. We ended up with the Silo Cider, Strubarb, Peach Izzes juice, Monkey King and we think it was called First Light or something like that. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the free retro pinball machine was a nice touch for our son and his pop-pop. Would recommend this place. We didn't get any food but what we saw coming out for others looked fantastic.

Arjun A.

Yelp
Unbelievably delicious beer! Im usually not a fan of IPAs but I found myself trying every single on on their menu. I started off with the Maple Syrup Creamer Ice Cream beer (don't quote me on the name but it's a ridiculously long name with Maple in it ) and boy was it good. So very smooth and a perfectly blended flavor of sweet and hoppityness. Also love the atmosphere and the outdoor seating as well. Definitely favorite brewery in Burlington

Sara R.

Yelp
This was just what I expected it to be and more! The star crossed was amazing and everything you could want from a sour. The merch is also really nice quality and they have a great variety. The place has an amazing vibe and I wanted to stay there all day! Another great beer is the dolla dolla pils.. worth every minute.

Ronica P.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere. Great hangout spot for people of all ages. I'm not a beer fan but there are a few wine options. I asked for a Shelburne vineyard wine, they only had iapetus which is sold at shelburne which is fine. The bartender was only able to get half a glass of wine out of the bottle and then they were out. He then said he couldn't charge me for half a glass of wine - I had already paid. So he gave me another glass of wine of a different variety. Thank you! This was really appreciated and a nice gesture. Definitely will be back.

Allegra C.

Yelp
This place is literally too cool for Vermont. Cannot recommend highly enough. They even have kombucha on Tap.

Kent R.

Yelp
Solid beers with ample IPA variants in a good hang. The beat up foosball table inserted enough randomness to keep it almost a game against Steve, but of course, I was crushed in the end Great fries, too.

Katelyn S.

Yelp
Great selection of brews from double IPAs to sours to wheat beer. The food was good too! We tried the pretzel and the Grace sandwich. Servers were friendly and they even have a free Foosball table along with other games. This was our favorite brewery we visited during our weekend in Burlington.

Carlos M.

Yelp
Great food, beers were also great. We really enjoyed the Honey Pilsner & the Dolla Dolla Pilz. The staff is really friendly and the whole place has a wonderful vibe, we sat in the patio area. I will definitely be returning to try more beers!

Jon S.

Yelp
Good beer selection with a unique vibe. Brings out the best of Winooski. They also always have some fun stuff planned throughout the week! Whenever I have friends coming in from out of town I bring them here.

Jessie W.

Yelp
They have great beer and DELICIOUS vegetarian options! The creature sandwich was so good!! I love the First Light IPA. Great service! They did a great job accommodating us! We came in as a walk in and they were able to give us a table for 45 minutes. They preference reservations which is understandable. They told us they weren't sure if we would have time for food but they accommodate us again with that! They gave us our sandwiches in to go boxes just in case but our food was ready in only 10 minutes! Would love to go again with reservations next time we visit

Samantha D.

Yelp
The new location of this brewery is stunning! Very cool setup, and a very comfortable atmosphere. It was pretty busy today since it was graduation weekend, so we had to get squeezed in for seating. There was a slight hiccup, but one of the employees, Mike gave us amazing service and just made the experience so great. I will definitely return often. Interesting beers with a lot of variety, and some yummy food!

Ron C.

Yelp
This place is great. I came here in the early afternoon yesterday to grab some beers. I ended up drinking 5 IPA/DIPA's. All the beers were great. I was surprised to hear you can't buy cans and drink them on-site. The service was great and the cost of around $7 per beer wasn't bad. I'd definitely return as I can see this being a fun place. The outdoor seating seating is limited so I recommend making a reservation and trying to get a seat with a back on it. The seats against the wall don't have backs and its rather uncomfortable to sit in that area.

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Four Quarters has a strong beer game. The IPAs and stout/porters were all very good. I was very impressed with the quality of the beer. The space is rustic and small and is also where the beer is brewed. They offer 750ml fills, cans and bottles for purchase. They didn't appear to have food. Lots of on street parking, so no worries there.

Victoria T.

Yelp
When I say this is the best beer I've ever had in my life, I'm not exaggerating. This place is a MUST if you're visiting the Winooski/Burlington area. You can even order beer to-go online.

Michael B.

Yelp
Place looked so cool, was very excited when we walked in. Downhill from there....Average burger on a below average bun for $15. Drinks were OK, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Also waited an hour for our meal today. Asked about it and got no apology, explanation, etc. How does it take an hour to put a basic burger on a flat top and serve it?

AJ B.

Yelp
Wow.. awkward service, long wait,a burger the size of a quarter, unfortunate could be a really cool place

Zach C.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. Service was slow and awkward, food was overpriced and disgustingly burnt.. I guess just go here for the overpriced drinks?

Naomi L.

Yelp
I've never been here before until today. My best friend said come over to this brewery it's close to where you stay let's have dinner . She and my man went to the rest rooms close to the same time and they decided to come over and kick us out after we bought our drinks. They were the only people of color and they accuse us of doing drugs. I don't think they like other Races. They legit laugh in our face. Didn't even let us finish our drinks we paid 12 bucks for.

Christy Y.

Yelp
RUDE staff, RUDE!! Cocktail choices are terrible and couldn't make 2 of 7 choices we requested, (yes, we get it's a brewery...but, don't offer if you can't make it)

Andrea P.

Yelp
Great craft beer in a great environment! They are also one of the most dog friendly places in the area--ours loves to go here because he's usually greeted at the door with a biscuit and pets!

Tamra M.

Yelp
Four Quarters is the diamond in the ruff as far as breweries go--where space meets earth! The fresh flowers are a nice touch. And I was totally impressed with the cleanliness of the entire place! Also, the best merch! I recommend the Cake Drop, an amazing milk stout that rivals my all time favorite, Sam Smith's organic chocolate stout from the UK. The Tomato Basil sour ale is also a hit, kind of reminding me of a tomato starburst! But can I just say something about the staff at Four Quarters? Amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, and ready to please! Kudos to Patty for making THE BEST sandwich, "mom's choice!" Other friendly faces: Ro, Alex, Mike, Casey, Lucy, Nicole, Megan, Dorothy! You guys are such a great team! It's so refreshing to see intelligent people with happy faces working so well together! One suggestion to make Four Quarters the PERFECT venue--LIVE MUSIC! What a great opportunity for local talent! And I'm pretty sure there's a qualified sound guy on your staff to make it happen!! Nice going, Four Quarters! Love you to the Moon!!

Nicole L.

Yelp
Very cool place, nice vibe! The beer was good, the people were nice along with good service. We weren't here long but we all had a great time. They even had a small selection of vinyl for sale so I couldn't resist.

Jen V.

Yelp
The beer was pretty good, and the servers were nice, but the comedy night was so cringey we had to leave. I was getting second hand embarrassed.
