Zheng Cafe Collects Supplies for Those in China Affected by the Coronavirus | Eater Seattle

"I noted that the iconic Four Seas Restaurant closed in fall 2017 to make way for a new seven-story affordable housing building, and its former lounge space has since been used for other ventures such as the semi-permanent Dynasty Room." - Gabe Guarente

Tried a bunch of their breakfast items — some were great, some just okay. The congee and braised egg were super tasty and comforting, and I loved the peanut soy milk even though it was a bit sweet. The sticky rice ball and youtiao were too hard for my taste, but the egg pancake and buns were really good. Overall, a nice place for a traditional Chinese breakfast, just wish the texture of some items was softer.

Google
Solid Taiwan breakfast fare. I love coming here for salty soybean milk (though I wish they put more goodies inside), mantou, scallion pancakes, egg pancakes, radish cakes, rice rolls wth pork floss, and a variety of Taiwanese buns. The food quality doesn't come close to what you can get in Taiwan (obviously), but it certainly hits the spot when in the US. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, and maybe a bit gruff. The restaurant atmosphere is also very basic - like a cafeteria lacking in personality.

I was excited to have a Taiwanese breakfast, something we can't get in Bakersfield, but I was disappointed. We arrived around 10 am, and after ordering at the counter, we waited over 35 minutes to get our first items, a steamed bun and the salty soy pudding (鹹豆花). The soy pudding was barely even room temperature - I would have expected it to be hot, as it is at most other places. That was very disappointing. I waited another 10 minutes to finally get the vegetarian rice roll (鹹飯糰), which thankfully came out hot, but I don't know why it took 45 minutes for that to be ready. I also ordered a hojicha soy milk, which didn't really have much of a hojicha flavor. All in all, I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food and the very slow service.

Some of this dishes I had like the Taro and radish cakes for average but if you're the type of person to like taro and radish cakes you could enjoy them. Ironically I really liked the sandwiches here which use some sort of sesame bun and added to the flavor. Though the food was decent, would I like most about this restaurant was learning of its story on one of the walls--which overall made the experience much more enjoyable!

Service is good. Food is average and outrageously overpriced! Won’t come back

If you like Taiwanese breakfast and are in the area, come here! Of course Taiwan is better but this definitely scratches the itch. If you order from the machine it appears to go faster. I came early enough that there was no line.

Google
Friendly staff. We ordered assorted items and they missed an egg crepe. We didn’t notice until we drove away. They gladly made our crepe and had it ready at the counter. There’s a touchscreen ordering kiosk to the corner, very easy to use. Service was quick. We went in with at least 10 people waiting in line and more waiting for their orders in the dining area. We still got our takeout order in a reasonable time. Cost is to the higher end but food quality is good. Small price to pay when you’re missing some traditional Taiwanese breakfast.

Google
It never fails to satisfy my craving for a good Chinese breakfast when I visit this restaurant! A must-try for dine-in or take-out. In my experience, the staff was very friendly and I received excellent service.

Yelp
We visit here from time to time as we like their food. Unfortunately they get pricier as times go just like anywhere else. Always crowded during weekend mornings, dirty, and mediocre service. You can also hear loud Mandarin from the kitchen. It's a 3 stars with the breakdown below: Food: 4 stars Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars

Yelp
This used to crowded and had long queue. Now it's healthy empty. I know why now. Slamming front door was annoying. I understood why it's quite empty inside Half the food arrived cold My eye crepe never arrived and I had to remind the staff TWICE my order Definitely ask for a printed receipt since you can't reply on the staff for accuracy of the order My mom said the soy milk and food wasn't as good as 99 ranch even tho 99 isn't that good. This place DOES have more variety but not worth listening the SLAMMING door every 5 min. Would we come again ? Not eat in. Maybe order to go the radish cake. So disappointing. They literally don't have competition

Yelp
Came by for breakfast this morning and was able to get a table. Food took a long time to come out. 1) peanut milk with soy - interesting drink 2) pork sung rice roll with preserved veggies - this was tasty and rice was very chewy // would get again 3) beef roll - very dry and just ok // would not recommend getting again

Yelp
The food is great! If you have patience and love Taiwanese breakfast, then this place is for you! If you don't like to wait, then you should leave right away. The place is located in a plaza with Dunkin' Donuts and a duke's bakery, so you can get breakfast elsewhere. It is not a formal ambience but you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Yelp
There's typically a line queuing to order at the counter so I prefer using the self-ordering kiosk for faster service. Got the sweet rice roll and egg crepe, both decent portions and flavors. Ordered the warm sweet soy milk, which should be served in a bowl but they got lazy and put it in a plastic to-go cup in stead even for dining in...not a fan of warm drinks in plastic cups. Not the most inviting dining environment but okay for quick breakfast fix.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed by our most recent visit. The only thing that is still solid is their soy milk. Everything else was just meh both in terms of flavor and portion. Honestly Chinese breakfast we've gotten at 99 Ranch has been better. Mushroom pork sticky rice (3/5): rice wasn't mixed uniformly and some parts were much saltier than others. Flavor just tasted like soy sauce. Egg crepe (3/5): full disclosure, egg crepe is almost always 3/5 for me cause authentic Taiwanese crepe is always soggy by design and not very flavorful. It was about what you'd expect if you're Taiwanese. Salty soy pudding (3/5): too salty. Small portions for takeout. It seems like they made it in advance so the soy sauce just soaks into the tofu pudding. Pork & preserved egg porridge (4/5): flavor on point, but small portions. The fried crueller they give with it is stale. They don't bother to chop up the preserved eggs so it's just like chunks of half eggs in there that you have to break up yourself. Salty rice roll with pickled vegetables (3/5): Fried crueller stale. Pickled vegetables weren't chopped up small enough, so with every bite you'll have stringy bits hanging out of your mouth. The shape looks like they're bulk made like a huge long roll and chopped in the middle with a knife. They do give more pickled vegetables than other places though. I'd recommend ordering ahead online since ordering in person can be somewhat chaotic. They take phone and in person orders at the same time. Check your order before you leave- they left out one of our items and couldn't tell which one was missing. I also wonder if things were stale since we came earlier Saturday morning and they served us leftovers?

Yelp
I hope this place never closes! The food here screams childhood nostalgia for me and it's such a big comfort food place. The rice rolls has so many different options for fillings but my favorite is the picked vegetable one with fried egg. Don't sleep on the peanut milk too. It's so hard to find these now a days at restaurants. My favorite drink is actually getting a peanut drink and a non sweet soy milk and combining the two. So creamy and super yum!!

Yelp
Maybe it's just because SF has never had (and still doesn't have) all that many Taiwanese restaurants to offer, but growing up, I had never had Taiwanese breakfast (insert joke about it just being called "breakfast" in Taiwan). Even as a kid, I was super curious about the dan bing and and fan tuan, in particular, that I would see friends eat. As an adult, I have less of an excuse for not trying it sooner, though, it doesn't help that I ended up finding a lot of the Chinese equivalents. However, finding myself in Irvine, I knew that I had to take the opportunity to FINALLY try a legit Taiwanese breakfast joint! With four locations spread throughout SoCal (Hacienda Heights, Arcadia, and San Gabriel being the others), it's pretty obvious that Four Sea has a good thing going. Inside, the restaurant looks very simple, but don't let their unassuming appearance fool you - the food they put out is impressive! The menu is rather straightforward, offering pretty much all of the typical staples you'd expect to find in several varieties, including soy milk, crullers (you tiao), dan bing, porridge, buns, baos, dumplings, shao bing sandwiches, and, of course, fan tuan! In short, absolutely no shortage of enticing and appealing options to choose from! -- HOT SWEET SOY MILK...$3.45 Maybe it's just because it's been so long since I had some legit soy milk, but this was really. Part of me worried about how sweet it would be (I usually get this plain and sweeten it myself), but the sweetness was pretty light (didn't need to add anything) and the bowl for this was so big! -- PEANUT RICE MILK WITH SOY...$3.90 This was terrific! Essentially, it combined the best of the Peanut Rice Milk and the Hot Sweet Soy Milk - a nice, peanut(ty) flavor that was mellowed out by the slightly sweet soy milk. The bowl of this was already generously sized, but I still wish there was more! -- PEANUT RICE MILK...$4 Pretty good, though I probably would've like it more if I hadn't tried the Peanut Rice Milk with Soy first. That's not to say this was bad, though - it had a strong peanut flavor that wasn't too sweet, it's just that, between the other, the other one was better. -- EGG CREPE WITH CRULLER...$9.80 Kind of basic, for better or worse. The cruller wasn't too shabby (decently crispy, not oily) and I liked that neither the eggs nor the crepe were that thick, but the flavors were underwhelming. Some pork sung would've helped, though it then wouldn't be as vegetarian-friendly. -- MARINATED SOY PUDDING...$6.90 I'd never tried this dish before coming here (only had sweet versions), but this made quite the intro! The tofu was silky soft and I loved how there was a good amount of pork, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions. Plus, this wasn't nearly as salty as I feared it would be, given its coloring. SO GOOD! -- PICKLED VEGETABLE WITH PRESERVED EGG RICE ROLL...$8.30 I was super excited to try this and, thankfully, it didn't disappoint! The pickled vegetables and preserved egg complemented each other so well and the pork sung was such a delicious surprise! Ironically, a bit more rice would've been good (it was so packed), but either way, i could've eaten three of these! -- PORK & PRESERVED EGG PORRIDGE...$5.75 Not the best I've had, but still super comforting. While I do wish this had more of the preserved egg in it, the porridge itself had such a nice consistency. Also, as much as I appreciate that this came with a few pieces of their cruller, they were so hard, we couldn't eat it until we softened them in the porridge. -- GAO BAO - Pork Belly Buns...$6 Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this one. The cut of pork was nice and thick and I liked how there was a good (but not overwhelming) amount of veggies in this. However, while the pork was flavorful, there were portions of it that felt a bit dried out. As much as I enjoyed most of what I tried, the thing about Four Sea that I'm far less fond of is when it comes to getting a table. Presumably, the more efficient process would be to grab a table after you've ordered so that the folks ahead of you can sit, eat, and clear out by the time for you to get seated (when it's busy, it takes longer to order than it does for the food to come out). However, given their popularity and how this place can fill up during peak hours, especially on weekends, a lot of people will try to snag a table immediately. Understandable, particularly if you have a large group, but it doesn't cause any less anxiety if you've already ordered and are trying to get a table before your food comes out. Even with the potential struggle of finding a table (it's actually super easy when it's not busy), the food here is well worth the effort and there's always the option to order your food to-go (they do a lot of takeout). Either way, Four Sea is a great spot for some delicious Taiwanese breakfast!

Yelp
Wow! Can't believe I've lived close by this long and never tried this place. Mother MAY I. I loved everything. And pretty fair prices too. We got 2 rice rolls, a green onion pancake, sweet soy milk, Chinese donut (which they called fried cruller ) and an egg crepe with "pork floss" for about $50. It was a lot of food though. Service is quick. Ambiance is simple and clean.

Yelp
Road trips are fun thanks to Four Sea! On our way to LA and made a pit stop for some breakfast. Love that they open so early and I was beyond impressed with what I got. Not sure if we just came at the right time or this is the standard, but my daikon cake was cooked to PERFECTION. Their garlic soy sauce dip pairs so nicely with the daikon cake (it's slightly sweet too). Then I saw the options of customizing my soy milk ie. hot vs cold vs WARM and also savory vs sweet. I wanted that perfect not too hot not too cold temperature and they literally mastered it. It was the right amount of hot where I can sip it right away without burning my tongue but not luke warm level. This breakfast totally set me up for a perfect day cause I was in such a great mood!

Yelp
1 Star (deserves 0) This place truly deserves zero stars. The restaurant says it opens at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, so we went at 6:45 a.m. expecting breakfast. The order taker was rude and impatient, telling us the kitchen staff who prepares the food wasn't even there yet -- and that we'd need to wait 20-30 minutes. If you're a breakfast restaurant, your staff should be ready when you open! We left disappointed, but decided to give them another chance on a different morning. Big mistake. The food portions were small, everything was overly salty, and the Chinese pancake was hard as a rock. The hot soy milk had all the sugar sitting at the bottom and wasn't even mixed properly. Zero stars if I could -- I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
google avatar

Janzel M.

Yelp
This review is solely for the hot soy milk. I was in Taiwan in November and discovered the amazingness that is breakfast soy milk. A Taiwanese neighbor mentioned Four Sea was the best in Irvine for this and I have to agree. Extremely similar to the many good soy milks I had in Taiwan. Service was quick and nice. Will definitely go back when I have a craving!

Yelp
Quality has really gone to the drain. Even frozen 燒餅 is better than theirs that's highly priced at $3.80. Please do better!!
google avatar

Yelp
I was on a hunt for a fan tuan and this was one nearest me. Pretty busy place for Taiwanese breakfast. They had a pretty wide assortment with lots of soy milk options and different pastries. Some of the dumplings have a wait time on them but they were tasty and juicy. Ambiance is kind of bland and basic with just tables and a to go counter. Nothing fancy but the fan Tuan's were great. I wish I had gotten some to go cause they were good. I'll be back

Yelp
Food was nothing to brag about. Service is realllllly slow for a Monday at 9am. I ordered two dishes and it took half an hour. Not a place to visit during your lunch break. I ordered... 1) fried onion cake with egg - bland, but better with the unlabeled mystery sauce they have at the table. 2) vegetarian rice roll - hard pass! Lots of rice surrounding imitation pork thread and stale fried cruller (aka Chinese fried bread stick). The stale bread in the center was so tough to chew, making it unpleasant. As for atmosphere, there really wasn't much of it. It had a "get in and get out" feel. I might try it again if I'm in the area. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dishes.
google avatar

Juliana T.

Yelp
This is the place to come if you have a hankering for traditional Taiwanese breakfast. Nothing fancy about it but the offerings are reminiscent of Taiwan breakfast cuisine. I really wanted to love this place. I liked it purely for the reason above but it lacks in comparison to other breakfasts I've had. But, I'm a spoiled Chinese American where my family makes this sort of breakfast better. Homemade food is where it's at! So, my comparison is not totally fair. The pig hocks were not very tender. The daikon buns were lacking in flavor. BUT, I really enjoyed the savory soy bean milk and the donut wrapped in egg crepe. Oh, and too much MSG for my personal liking. All that said, it's still worthy the stop because this sort of food is hard to come by in the US. Still enjoyable, I'm just picky!
google avatar

C C.

Yelp
Good food, the grammar error in its name could be used positively in marketing. The place itself needs music to drown out the loud conversations coming from the kitchen.
google avatar

Ray G.

Yelp
On Instagram I saw a short reel where someone was featuring salty soy milk. I'd never heard of it. But, it looked interesting. So, I looked up a place that had it and I found Four Sea. I was so excited to try salty soy milk. It was as amazing as it appeared on IG. I added a little bit of soy sauce, vinegar and some chili oil to it and I just thought it was so delicious.
google avatar

Winny H.

Yelp
Great service. I come here quite often for their delicious hot breakfast. Their fried crueller and soy milk are made fresh daily. I often get their black sesame and taro past buns. Large indoor dining area as well. Very clean restaurant and also the restrooms.

S L.

Yelp
Portions are Toney for the price. Seems like size shrank. This is the congee. The bowls were much bigger before. Now it looks like a 10 oz cup. Very disappointing
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem for tasty Taiwanese breakfast. You order at the counter and they give you a number for dine in and a buzzer for takeout. Popular items include the sticky rice rolls which are sticky rice wrapped around a warm crispy Chinese donut covered in salty pork floss. You can also get fancier and get the ones with egg/pickled vegetables for a fuller meal. For today, I ordered a zongzi which is sticky rice with meat/egg covered in bamboo leaves in celebration of the dragon boat festival holiday. My personal favorite is their homemade warm soy milk beverage. Asian soy milk definitely hits different and I was able to get the $35 thermos which gives me warm soy milk for the rest of 2024! What a steal! There are plenty of tables and seats to dine in which i saw a lot of people enjoying their breakfasts. And parking is easy to find in this plaza full of other Asian businesses.

Yelp
This place can be hit or miss. Lately it has improved with food being fresher, hotter, and less oily so you don't end up with a coma after. They made an error with our pickled vegetable vegetarian rice roll, but re-made it and I was pleasantly surprised. Pro-tip: For the month of March, they have a QR code that saves you 10% when you order online, but it's for takeout orders. They should make that clear on the sign so there's no confusion as they will let you know if you eat takeout at the tables, lol

Yelp
Vegetarian review: - Cold Noodle (5/5): light peanut flavor with chili oil, very refreshing and sizable portion - Vegetable Bun (5/5): delicious filing and fluffy bun - Vegetarian rice roll (3/5): the 油条 (fried cruller) was too soft and stale - Egg Crepe with Cruller (4/5): again cruller was too stale but the egg crepe itself was good - Marinated (Spicy) cured tofu (5/5): not too spicy, very flavorful and yummy - good protein - Sweet Soy Milk (5/5): perfect side to round out our meal - Taro Pastry (3/5): a little too dry Would love to try other dishes but stay clear of the stale crullers yuck. No frills restaurant with fast service and reasonable prices.

Yelp
Easily our go to Chinese breakfast cafe! The rice rolls are what keep us coming back for more, oh and the egg crepes, gua bao, and fresh soymilk! The food is either a hit or miss. The rice roll could be perfect one day or it could be dry and chewy (thanks to the crullers) on another day. Same goes for the gua bao- it could be perfectly seasoned or super dry and unseasoned. Thank goodness for their garlic dipping sauce! That'll save any dish! The egg crepes have been the most consistent. Service is pretty quick. People eating here are also quick! The tables may be full but most parties eat as quickly as they arrive. Food comes out pretty quickly or slowly, depends on the day. lol the restaurant can definitely work on consistency! We go back for the food because there's no other place that serves this type of breakfast in Irvine anymore. Please share if you know of another cafe in OC! :)
google avatar

Kailee B.

Yelp
We like JJ salty soy soup better. Food here is overpriced and quality is sub par. I ordered an omelet pancake and it had a piece of egg shell in it, which kind of ruined the experience.
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
I haven't had a Taiwanese style breakfast in awhile so I was really happy to have ran into Four Sea Restaurant! Parking is a little rough in this complex due to lots of popular shops and restaurants - but people are always coming in and out of the lot. I got the thousand year egg and pork congee, fried taro cake with egg and a fried Chinese donut. There was not a long wait for my food and the Congee was very good to pair with the fried Chinese donut. I dipped the donut into the congee! The fried taro cake with egg was super good and I loved how crispy the outside was and how the inside was melting in my mouth. Overall would come back again when I'm craving Taiwanese breakfast
google avatar

Keegan F.

Yelp
$8 for this? Unbelievable. It doesn't even fill up the entire piece of bread. Doesn't matter what an egg costs right now, this is a joke.
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
Four Sea is not grammatically correct... They have a total of four restaurants, so they must be doing something right. We ordered at the counter and then sat down. I had the salty soy milk. When I first heard of it, I didn't know what to expect. I loved it when I had it in Taipei though. I was hoping for that same experience, but it was not as good in comparison. One reason may be because the deep-fried cruller could've been crispier. I didn't like the fact that the spoon was mostly buried under the milk when it was bought out either. The cold sweet soy milk was good, but nothing special. I also had the spicy pig ears, which were not spicy at all. What I did liked was my bf's fried daikon cake with the crispy edges. For me, I prefer dim sum for Chinese breakfast.
google avatar

Sandy A.

Yelp
Why do we not have one of these in San Jose? I'm actually super duper upset because I am always craving a good, proper Chinese breakfast and it's actually so hard to find in San Jose. It's so easy to order here either through their QR code, in person or at their kiosk. To go or dine in. Either way this place is amazing. We tried the sweet soy milk, veggie bao, shao bing jia dan, vegetarian rice roll, daikon cake with egg. Everything was delicious except for the veggie bun, it was decent but not to die for. We also ordered some of the pastries to go and ate it at home later. So flaky and flavorful and delicious. Again, so wish we had one in the South Bay. Hint. Hint.
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
Very good Chinese breakfast place with shaobing, dou jiang, and youtiao. Not sure where else you can get this in Irvine or anywhere nearby. They have other pastries as well but these are my go to orders. Can be a line sometimes but it moves relatively quickly. Prices are inexpensive.
google avatar

CJ C.

Yelp
Good Chinese brunch options with amazing prices! There aren't too many places like this in Irvine. Would definitely come back again!
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
In LA visiting my daughter- she( as well as I) love to eat fan tuan - Taiwanese rice rolls with youtiao, egg, pickled vegetables. Also picked up some bamboo leaf stick rice with mushroom and pork. My parents state the sticky rice was very tasty. I pre- ordered by call ahead. They were pretty busy. Will definitely go back for more when I go to LA. ( sorry- no pictures)
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
Was craving some sweet soy milk and so I saw this on Yelp and thought it try it out! I also tried their preserved egg porridge and it was nice how they packaged the the pickled veggies and the fried Chinese donut separately so it wouldn't get soggy when I bought it Togo. Both of these items were yummy
google avatar

Alexis L.

Yelp
Man this place has gone down hill! Used to be my favorite breakfast place, I craved their soymilk and Chinese donut. But when I visited last couple of times, the donut was super oily, the fan tuan so yucky, tasted old and hard. Had to throw it away after eating half of it. The rice dumpling tasted too much 5 spices that made it bitter. I will never go back. If I really craving Taiwanese breakfast I'll just go to 99 ranch.

J B.

Yelp
Inexpensive counter service with some limited indoor seating. Recommend the youtiao ("deep fried cruller") and sweet soy milk. The Marinated Beef in Flaky Oven Baked Bun is a good choice of sandwich. Service and the counter lines can sometimes seem a little slow or disorganized, but I've yet to have them get an order wrong.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
We stop Four Sea Restaurant every so often whenever we want one of their rice rolls. We stopped by again today and like before, the rice rolls did not disappoint. We also ordered their sweetened cold soy milk which tasted great and refreshing. We also tried their fried daikon cakes for the first time. The cakes were deep fried vs being pan friend like the dim sum version. The cakes were well seasoned and had god daikon flavor.
google avatar

Johnny C.

Yelp
Simple morning breakfast. Followed everyone's suggestion of a fan Tuan and the brown stick deep fried donut is all good. I'm a simple person and the breakfast was good. The cashier was nice and appreciated the kindness. The place is super clean. I'm super down with this place. I only wonder if they deliver?
google avatar

Yelp
Was craving fan tuan and this was the closest place besides 99 ranch in getting some around where I'm at (that I know of). Wanted to give this place a try since a friend went there and always down to try local spots. There was several tables being taken up and a few people ahead of me in line during the weekend morning. I opted to just order online via their QR code but honestly I think ordering in person would've been fine for me. Surprisingly the wait for the food was a bit long. It took over 30 minutes for an order of 2 fan tuans, hot sweetened soymilk, panfried radish cake. I'm not sure if this is normal but I was surprised. Fan tuan itself was ok. It didn't stand out to me that I'd go back sadly but it was nice that it had egg. The ones I used to eat growing up didn't have egg so it was a nice touch. Radish cake was yum and it came with this sweet soy sauce on the side. Probably my favorite of the two items I tried. Sweetened soymilk was as I remember. Great to be dipped with the chinese donut! I actually did not expect it to be in an actual drink cup LOL. I'm so used to it coming in a soup container haha. But still tasted good. Overall everything was ok. Nothing too memorable for me that I'd want to return. Worth a try if you're craving some Taiwanese breakfast.
google avatar

Iver N.

Yelp
Sticky rice rolls. Hear me out. It's sticky rice with salty pork floss with a chinese donut in the center. If you come early enough, the donut is fried fresh and is crispy! Get the pickled veggies with stewed egg. The salt, sweet, and pickled just goes so well. There's seating but not a lot. There isn't a server for tables, you will have to hunt one down and hold it if possible. They offer high chairs here for your little one.

Yelp
Food was tasty, service was great, Ambience was nice and traditional. Recommended for breakfast.

Yelp
Best breakfast spot ever! I am from Taiwan, and I can tell you this is exactly what you would find in Taiwan. If you don't like the food here, it's probably because you don't like Taiwanese food, not because the food is bad. Love it!

Liwen X.

Yelp
I ordered a brown sugar bun which was supposed to be very nice. Not even until I finished the half of it, it turned to be like rock hard. I can easily tell that it was heated/cooked by a microwave oven opposed to a steamer. After I told the waitress what happened to my bun and got her confirmation that they did use microwave oven to heat the bun, I didn't get anything as a compensation. They didn't even ask. The waitress just said that I can provide comment to their team by writing down the notes and drop it in the box, which tells me that the attitude is "we don't care"!

Yelp
Decent, authentic Chinese breakfast. The cold and hot soy milks were both good. The fried donut (you tiao) was cold, but tastes good dipped in the hot soy milk

Yelp
This is a great place for a traditional Taiwanese breakfast. The food is very authentic and the choices are just what you find on the streets of Taipei every day. The prices have slowly climbed up and up over the years which makes this place a once in a while fun thing to do. I hope they can keep the prices down because I sure do love this type of food.

Yelp
Do not serve expired Sesame Buns from days ago. What happen Four Sea Restaurant? We will never never return...

Yelp
Please don't waste your money here. Shaobing tastes like cardboard now. Quality of their food has definitely gone down to the drain, not worth any penny :(

Yelp
Great fantuans. The best one is the marinated egg sticky rice version. Food comes out quick. For what it is, it's a bit pricey though

Yelp
I recommend the Rice ball and egg pancakes. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of their cold noodle's hard consistency, but maybe some people will like that. Service is OK. Ambience is above average for a Chinese breakfast place, at least it feels clean and fresh enough.
