Even with new owners, they've still got it. When you step into the place you're stepping back in time. True Cape Cod feel to the place. It's a small place with big flavor ice cream. I had chocolate and another family member had peach. Both flavors we're just as we remembered. Plenty of parking. You'll know you're at the right place when you see kids sitting on the SUV tailgate eating ice cream.

Google
Delicious as always. Bright my daughter - fourth generation Four Seas customer. Hot fudge is still the best I've ever had anywhere. So glad to see the new owners continuing the legacy of great hot fudge and ice cream. Good luck to them. I hope Four Seas will be around for my great grandkids if I have them.

Google
This is one of the best ice cream places around. When we arrived there was a very long line but it did move quickly. The staff were great and the taste of the ice cream was fantastic. They have the best black raspberry I have ever had and they do not skimp on the toppings. I would highly recommend Four Seas Ice Cream.

Google
Oldest ice cream store in MA. Classic high fat New England ice cream. All the flavors are terrific but for a really hot day try the lemon crisp..like lemon merange on the tongue..delicious and refreshing. Mocha chip has a great range and all the berry flavors are wonderful. Cape Cod favorite!

New ownership—same heart and soul! This past May was my grandfather’s 88th birthday. He’s been a loyal Four Seas customer for over 30 years. When we couldn’t celebrate together in years past, we live 15+ hours away from one another, I used to DoorDash him his favorite ice cream. This year, I noticed the store was offline, so I called to check in. Unbeknownst to me, the new owner answered. She explained they were still working out delivery services—then offered to personally deliver my grandfather’s ice cream to him. And that’s exactly what she did. I’ve been a Four Seas fan for life, and I’ll continue to be—until I’m 88 too.

Google
I’ve been going here since I was a kid and there is nothing as magical as walking through the screen door every summer. There is something about the familiar blue and white building and the list of familiar and timeless flavors that signals the summer is finally on its way. I love stopping by during the off-season for a pint or a quart and had another great experience today. The new owners seem delightful and the staff are friendly and efficient. Shout out to Emmy who grabbed us our pints in record time. If you are visiting the Cape or are a local, you will never go wrong with a trip to Four Seas.

Google
The Ice cream was amazing and the staff were really nice. This is the best Ice Cream we have ever tried. If you’re looking for unique flavors to try you should try the fresh cantaloupe ice cream it is the best

Google
It's still the best ice cream on the Cape. Shocked to fund no lines on Memorial Day.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Boston for a long weekend getaway and decided to stop by Four Seas Ice Cream during our trip. What a treat! The ice cream was fantastic--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put care into every scoop. We loved the classic, charming vibe of the place, too. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

Dawn P.

Yelp
It was my first time here, and I ordered a banana split, but it was missing toppings, nuts, and other cherries. It seems like the location was on the decline.

Justin S.

Yelp
I was skeptical- if I had a dollar for every time someone said they knew of "the best" ice cream place... I'd be rich. This was the best scoop of chocolate chip ice cream I've ever had. Ever. And I've had quite a few... just ask my doctor. Creamy, speckled with little delicious pieces of chocolate throughout. Almost like magical sparkling chocolate stardust. YUM! 10/10 would go again.

Natalie G.

Yelp
The BEST ice cream you'll ever have in your life! This is MUST visit the next time you're in Cape Cod. The flavors are always 10/10. The service is top notch too. It can get pretty busy, but don't let that deter you from ordering as the line usually moves pretty fast. They offer some other food options and there's a small seating area inside, but we usually ate outside to enjoy the fresh air.

Peter M.

Yelp
Compliments on food service and an historic location. One of the best ice cream shops on the Cape

Michael G.

Yelp
Four Seas has been around for generations, so they tell me. All kind of ice cream options. Walk up service, they take your order, you wait, they deliver. It's so crowded in the summer the lot is full and there are plenty of people milling around to talk to. Great summer ice cream event!

Fatboy S.

Yelp
Came here because of the hype - left disappointed. Only open Saturdays during the off season. Everything is prepackaged. Got a cup of ice cream. Had a layer of ice on it which defiantly took away from the taste. Wouldn't avoid - but not rushing back. Wouldn't wait in line for it.

Dan G.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream and the best bang for your buck lobster roll I've ever had! Love the old school vibe inside!

Jen B.

Yelp
Was just okay, but the price is what shocked us. These two little cups cost $15. A small sundae and a pre-packed dairy free cup. Good thing there are tourists because it's not something locals could afford on a regular basis. The handful of people in line proves that point. Other ice cream places have lines 30-40 people long.

Noelene C.

Yelp
Drove a 1/2 an hour each way to get what I think is the best ice cream on the cape. Got home sat down and found I was given the wrong flavors of quart ice cream Called the store and explained the predicament to the manager. I drove back to exchange. No compensation not even an offer to keep the quart that was given in error. Isn't it illegal for them to resell ??? It's not like tie old days when service was superb !!!

Colleen L.

Yelp
I picked up a premade ice cream cake from four seas. I loved the design on the cake. It had a pretty orange and yellow frosting on the outside, with vanilla and chocolate ice cream on the inside with fudge. Would definitely get it again, but would customize with fun flavors.

Dena L.

Yelp
This Ice Cream parlor is the best thing going! We went in and I ordered my cone, not realizing that they made their own waffle cones. My husband ordered his in a waffle cone, and I exclaimed out loud"You Lucky!! The Owner heard me and without turning around, told his wife(?) to tell me to stay right where I was. He then made me a fresh waffle, cut it into 4 pieces and gave it to me in a side cup...no charge !! The product was delicious!

S L.

Yelp
Ice cream is okay, but they REALLY need to get organized. It's chaotic to get to the point of placing your order, as there is no real system for moving people through the place. When I finally got my turn, I ordered a sundae with caramel, and it seemed to take forever for them to actually add the caramel. Once they did, there was so little caramel that I asked if they could add more. I won't be back.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
2nd time getting ice cream here. Really delicious, extremely creamy ice cream. They've got quite a selection of flavors and you can't go wrong with the classics. The shop however was in disarray, dark and looked in need of some serious cleaning and organizing. Service was ok.

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Oh Four Seas, I just adore you and all your homemade ice creamy goodness. You haven't changed much in the last twenty years and I'm so very thankful for that. Your sorbet continues to be my favorite on the Cape, or really anywhere. Last week I had ordered the Lemon Sorbet and ohmygosh it was good. So good. But I have to say, and I'm sure many others would agree, your prices have gone up considerably and your portions are a bit small... and inconsistent. Two of us ordered medium dishes of ice cream and they were definitely not the same size. This may be Covid related, or it may just be the teenagers behind the counter that spend their summer scoopin' -- but I do wish I had a bit more sorbet for a little less $$. Until next time, Alyssa R.

Rob C.

Yelp
Just NO! Too many good ice cream shops on the cape to come here. The ice cream itself is ok. The idiots working there makes it a hard pass for me. When the young man can't take a simple order for two sundaes I can't imagine a group coming in. Complete incompetence. Do yourself a favor and drive five minutes down the road to the Polar Cave or Smittys. You'll be much happier you did!

Alexandra C.

Yelp
How can this be? My favorite childhood ice cream shop still looks the same. For 30 years it was always good. But our last visit... The worker didn't exaclty know how to make a black and white soda.. so he asked. Fine. But I knew this wasn't a good sign. I've taken people here for so many years.. Everyone said they never had an b&w soda so good. Our ice cream sodas we left with we pretty much couldn't drink! Whatever liquid they used to make tasted like something terrible. The always delicious vanilla ice cream wasn't the same-- hardly any scoops given in the soda at all, but what there was was full of ice chunks, not creamy and no more that good vanilla flavor. The price for 3 was insane. I should have gone back to tell them but didn't have the heart. I hope they do see this though and get their act back together for next season.

Kylea G.

Yelp
Great ice cream great people serving it, good old time vibes all around! Tons of flavor concoctions & all delicious. Seriously though the workers make it fun, they are sweet & kind & helpful in making your perfect choice. Shout out the girl with the blue nails!

Matt B.

Yelp
"A bad day with ice cream is better than a good day without ice cream." ~Someone wise, possibly a dentist. That said, I've never been disappointed by any of our awesome local ice cream parlours. Today we got to have a few servings from Four Seas Ice Cream while our kids watched the winter wonderland display being set up by Douglas Warren. Always a great time here, and we look forward to our next visit!

Mimi M.

Yelp
Skip it! Had ice cream at this place recently because I watched a review by two foodies about Cape Cod. Man did they get it wrong about this ice cream. All sugar and no flavor. The pecan ice cream should have pecans right? The peppermint was disgusting. Everything tasted old and stale.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Very fun & pleasant place to get ice cream! Great atmosphere, very polite employees. The ice cream tastes great! Definitely stop by.

Owen C.

Yelp
It took very long for my frappe. The frappe was half full. Good atmosphere. My frappe tasted good, my friends was terrible

Mary B.

Yelp
They have INCREDIBLE ice cream and fantastic hot fudge. It's worth the wait, no matter how long the line is. If you happen to be there on the rare day that there ISN'T a line, the chair out front means they are open. Apparently the building was a blacksmith shop and horses were shoed right in front!

Teri W.

Yelp
Serving up mom's favorites at her celebration of life. Peppermint stick, butter crunch and black raspberry always her favorites!

Todd C.

Yelp
This place is sooooo overrated. The ice cream is meh at best. Ordered a banana split, and it was banana soup by the time they handed it to me. The chocolate is faintly brown and has little flavor. Teens who have no stake in the business - and it shows - staff the place. Idk how this is a local institution. It sucks frankly.

Julie M.

Yelp
I mean...ice cream is good no matter what, right? That's for the extra star. Ice cream was melted and my first choice unavailable. We don't serve cantaloupe on Wednesdays. What? I won't go out of my way for 4 Seas in the future. Shipwreck in Sandwich is better.

Marissa B.

Yelp
Best ice cream in the entire world in my personal opinion - and I'm pretty obsessed with ice cream. I grew up coming here every summer and it's still as good. The cantaloupe ice cream is insanely delicious and very special, as is every flavor that they make.

Corbster S.

Yelp
We had a very disappointing visit to Four Seas Ice Cream today. My Black Raspberry ice cream was so tasteless and sooo small! They charge over $5. for a small cup (NOT a kiddie cup) and it doesn't even fill 2/3 of the cup! This shoppe has always been a favorite trip during our family's Cape vacation--but will give our business to another ice cream shoppe after this visit.

Rich S.

Yelp
This used to be our go-to at least once or twice every summer vacation. Ordered a small mint chocolate chip. No chocolate chips in it and it is pink. So basically a peppermint ice cream. Portion was smaller than a kids scoop at most places on the Cape. Portion was so small you could see the bottom of the cup. Black raspberry was bland. And don't ask for Jimmies (sprinkles). They don't have them. Big disappointment. Had to drive somewhere else after to get the rest of my ice cream.

Semra E.

Yelp
This is a place my husband used to go to as a kid, and it feels like it hasn't changed since he last was there for all the right reasons. It's charming and takes you back in time. The flavors of ice cream they create is so delicious. I had Blackberry with chocolate and it hit the spot for me. How can I tell it's good you ask, because every kid there had to get pulled away crying with their parents because they'd rather stay there forever. But in all seriousness, this is a place in the Cape that is not to be missed. I would have taken a picture of my ice cream, but I ate it too quickly, I'm certain you'll experience the same thing. Treat YOURSELF & come here for a scoop (or 2...3...maybe 4) of some delectable flavors & options when you come, your taste buds will thank you for it.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
AMAZING ice cream, tons of flavors and exactly what you think of when it comes to an amazing small business ice cream shop. Great service, amazing quality and friendly staff.

Peter B.

Yelp
Opening day might not be the best day to go here. The girl who helped us was rude but she was a younger girl. So I will chalk it up to opening day and possibly her first job. I got a medium mocha chip in a cup. It was one small scoop for a medium? I would be hard pressed to call it a small size. It was packed full of chips which was the best part. The ice cream was creamy but there wasn't a lot of flavor. Then I had to bring home a coffee frappe and that was only 75% full. Help is hard to find these days and I am sympathetic to small business owners. Service goes a long way and the service wasn't great. My overall experience wasn't great.

Food Man ..

Yelp
Maybe it was all the hype that surrounds this landmark establishment. Or maybe it was just an off day. Regardless of the reason, my first experience at Four Seas today can best be summed up in one word: average. The high school girl who waited on me was disengaged and sounded almost dismissive when I asked for two different flavors which, apparently, were not available. The ice cream was also overpriced in my opinion, and was already melting all over the cone (and my hand) before I even walked out the door. Overall, not a great experience at all. Is this really the same place that I've heard so much history about? Don't think I'll be back.

Becki B.

Yelp
My favorite ice cream on the planet. Seriously. First of all, adorable and charming old feel to the place. Cash only! And the best and most unique flavors. Cantaloupe ice cream?Yes, please. But my absolute favorite is the cranberry sherbet. Unfreakingreal. We smartened up after a couple years, and starting buying the pints. They always have every flavor in pints every day. They don't always have them available for scooping. And a pint is $.25 more than a small dish or cone! We split the pint between two of us. Or take the extra back to the house. It is seriously the best ice cream. We stop every day we are on the cape!

Emily A.

Yelp
This was recommended by so many in the area so we had to try and it did not disappoint! The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. We loved the mint chip (pink!!) and maple walnut. Very pleased with the covid precautions as well. They had an easy order and pick up window instead of going inside.

Adam C.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and its always been great. I grew up locally and love all the flavors. Super disappointed today to take my family only to find out that all the ice cream was "pre-scooped"....I'm sorry what? Is this even an ice cream shop? Not only was it "pre-scooped" in tiny little to-go cups (cup is a generous term) but the flavors available were very limited. You would think if they were pre-scooping ice cream they would at least be able to offer all of the flavors seeing as there is nothing else going on when you order it and they could better manage inventory. Not the case. I got the mocha brownie dough and it was all frozen and icy, all the parts had separated. The texture was not appetizing and it was generally not enjoyable to eat. Very disappointing as I was very much looking forward to our visit. They are charging $3.50 for these "cups" and they should be ashamed. People who want ice cream packed away can buy that at a grocery store, they come to a local shop for the local experience and, theoretically, the higher quality. I'm sorry Four Seas but this is not quality. I'd like to blame it on Covid but we came earlier in the summer and we were able to get cones/dishes and it was great. So my question is what is going on?! As far as this off season goes, I'd recommend going somewhere else or just getting the ice cream at the store.

Stephen Z.

Yelp
AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO WHEN VISITING CAPE COD! DELICIOSSSSS HOME MADE ICE CREAM!!!! SO YOU WANNA ROLL LIKE THE RICH & FAMOUS, JUST ONE PROBLEM YOU DON'T HAVE THE CASH! No Problem. Stop on down here to where the president's wife - Jackie Kennedy would have a scoop of ice cream from her favorite ice cream shop. Jackie used to always come here & get her Famous Peach Ice Cream. This place is an Institution on Cape Cod & hasn't changed since the 1960s. They've kept it the exact same way. Hey if it was good enough for the former First Lady Jackie Kennedy then it's good enough for you. Yup, you get to experience what it exactly was like when Jackie Kennedy came in here for ice cream. Very Cool! This place is only open seasonally when the weather starts to get nice until it gets cool. They have tables & chairs inside or you can eat @ the counter or get it to go. They have a small Free Parking lot on the side. In the summer it is packed with people, so try & go the off time. Cash Only, but there's a ATM out back. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Melissa K.

Yelp
Four seas used to be the place to go but seems like when the next generation took over it became more expensive. (Smaller portions but more money) this go around our root beer float was only filled half way! Also they do not serve sprinkles because thats not homemade. I get it but you're an ice cream place.

Brock H.

Yelp
I had heard good things about Four Seas, but unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. Ice cream flavor was fine, but the portions were ridiculously small by any normal standard and it was served to us less than completely cold. I honestly thought they must have run out of the flavor I'd ordered when they pass back the toddler-sized cup that was supposedly my regular sized ice cream order (the actual kids size was practically a thimble). Most ice cream places go to the other extreme - serving up a small ice cream that is ridiculously large. Four Seas has corrected too far in the other direction. With pedestrian flavors and small sizing this place feels like one to avoid when there are so many other great options nearby.

Graham V.

Yelp
Our family comes to Four Seas every time we come to the Cape, which is usually once a year. We absolutely love this place. Tonight, however, we were really surprised and disappointed to pay more than $10 for two orders, a medium cone and a small dish, and in each case we got the *tiniest* of scoops--charitably, what you might expect in a kiddie cone. I don't think I've written a Yelp review in my life--and certainly not a negative one!--but we won't be coming back as long as this is the policy. There are other good ice cream shops on the Cape.

Audra B.

Yelp
It' was absolutely worth the long wait! Yes we have tried multiple times to get our hands on this IceCream everyone who we talked about it to, had nothing but, Big eyes as they said best icecream we've ever had. Creamy, Silky and better than anyone can describe it. So fourseas has become apart of our Fridays girls day out.

Beth C.

Yelp
We have spent summers in Centerville for over 25 years. Four Seas was our favorite destination. Not anymore. The Lobster sandwich which was was once loaded and delicious is now grossly overpriced and served on smaller bread. As for the bread, it fell apart while eating it and the wait staff was indifferent to our complaints. Now about their cream. It's good but not outstanding and my biggest complaint is that its not frozen enough to servive the cone. If you like your ice cream soft and in a bowl then by all means go to Four Sees. They are plenty of ice cream shops in Hyannis with great ice cream that can be served in a cone!

Dan R.

Yelp
The third oldest ice cream place in New England? The best ice ceam on the Cape for how many years in a row? There's a reason Caroline Kennedy served Four Seas at her rehearsal dinner! After a long hot day at the beach, we popped in for some frozen goodness. They offer around 30 flavors (I wanted to try pistachio pineapple but it wasn't available). In addition to the Ice cream, they sell yogurts, sherberts and sorbets, shakes and sandwiches. This was a quintessential New England jewel. I had a dish of very hard to find cantaloupe ice cream. It was so good, so flavorful, so refreshing, and not too sweet. Just perfection!!!

James G.

Yelp
A Classic Cape tradition ! My wife has been going to Fours Seas since childhood and loves their cantaloupe ice cream. That should say something. The building may appear older, and it is. However, the recipes and tradition fit. This family owned homemade ice cream location is a gem. There may be lines at high volume times, but the wait is worth it. As you wait scour the list of favors. Lemon crisp is one of my son's favorites. As my wife would say, "Four Seas is the only exception to 'no dessert before dinner.'" Fours Seas is a family tradition!

Amy K.

Yelp
Best Ice cream ever. Great staff and amazing ice cream. Endless Flavours (Banana, Caramel Cream, Peanut Butter Chip are the favourites) as well a great sandwiches.

Sherry M.

Yelp
Wow four seas is going down hill alright. I asked for a cup of chili's they gave me a chili dog i couldn't even eat it bc it was a literally brown hot dog and grossed me out. I feel like the manager is so worried about his staff being these perfect straight A yuppies when in general they can't even get the difference between a hot dog and a regular cup of chili. Stick to the math equations kids, clearly customer service isn't your forte.

Tim L.

Yelp
A little confusing when you first go in - small, crowded and a line that seems out of control - but they make it work and they make it work quickly. They have your traditional flavors and other not so traditional - like pink mint chocolate chip - but it was all very yummy and the staff was awesome.

Kate T.

Yelp
Been going here since I was a kid and the long lines are always worth it. Ice cream is always delicious and the abundance of choices makes each visit different!

Maddie M.

Yelp
Had to throw away the ice cream it was so bad. My mom ordered a peanut butter chip chocolate ice cream and the artificial peanut butter flavor was too intense to eat more than 2 bites. I got the grasshopper sundae, and literally had to spit it out, the crème de minthe was poured on top of chocolate ice cream a little too heavily, and the chocolate ice cream underneath was also just bad. The staff were extremely nice and diligent, but I was worried the overly-crowded conditions they were working in could have been violating some sort of workers rights laws, or at least capacity ones.
