The Best Farm-to-Table Food on a Road Trip Along the Maine Coast, April 2021

"I sat in the sunny kitchen at Four Season Farm with Eliot Coleman and Barbara Damrosch and tasted Sun Gold cherry tomatoes while they described pioneering greenhouse-based, four-season organic growing on poor local soil; their methods helped seed Maine's farm-to-table movement, they sell produce at a Saturday farmstand, and their practical experimentation has shaped generations of local chefs and farmers." - Kevin West Kevin West Kevin West is a writer, food consultant, and “canning evangelist” (according to NPR). He’s the author of the cookbook “Saving the Season,” and his work has appeared in Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart Living, Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, and Food & Wine. Stunning flower bouquets, the tastiest produce around and our favorite place to visit in the summer. Happy we can still get their produce at Blue Hill Co-Op in the winter!

Four Season Farm is a truly special place! A coastside farm off a dirt road that produces some of the best tasting vegetables we've ever had. Most people look forward to eating lobsters when they vacation in Maine but we're fixated on the beets and carrots from Four Season! On our last visit we also got an amazing blue berry pie that was out of this world. The farm stand is only open for a few hours on Saturday....worth a visit if you love a good vegetable.
