"It’s going to take some time to get used to this Las Colinas outpost under a different resort umbrella after years of the beloved property being a Four Seasons. However, a $55 million transformation project is breathing fresh, luxurious life into the property just outside of Dallas. Don’t worry, TPC Las Colinas is still right outside of your suite’s window, however, now you have the option of club level access to amp your amenities. For locals who fancy themselves foodies, the dining debut of Knife Italian by Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur John Tesar is being met with rave reviews." - Diana Oates

"Why book? The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas is a beloved blending of burb life and the big city. Set the scene: You'll see just about everyone here—a high end wedding party, a young family headed to the pool, or a group of golfers. The pool is pleasantly packed but not in an annoying way and the lawn is full of loved ones lingering for one last drink because the laughs are coming easy. The 400-acre property gets great sunsets and somehow seems miles away from Dallas Despite being just outside the city limits. The backstory For more than 38 years, this property was known as The Four Seasons Resort at Las Colinas. It is now being managed by the Ritz Carlton after a $55 million transformation that wraps up in Spring 2024. Led by design firms Jeffrey Beers International and Leo A Daly, the 427 guest rooms got a refresh to reflect the property’s new brand and chapter. The major change in the room selection is that club level access is now an option which gets guests a dedicated concierge, gourmet culinary and a gorgeous lounge that has a great view of the resort pool. Food and drink Michelin starred chef John Tesar has finally opened his beloved Knife Italian after teasing it for years to the Dallas foodie faithful. Bar Juniper is also a new addition post renovation and name change. The Outlaw Taproom is still around for those who just can’t bear the thought of not drinking a beer by the firepit. Cheers to great food in a beautiful, new space. The spa: The spa not only has a full typical treatment menu with massages and facials, but also a full hair and nail salon for getting glam from head to toe. Although there are plenty of over the top spa offerings in Dallas, locals come here to get away from it all and relax for a bit. The neighborhood/area - Las Colinas is a 12,000-acre master planned community that is home to a lot of businesses, families and entertainment venues. Step just outside the hotel to hit a luxurious neighborhood with golf views and go a little bit farther and you’ll hit the Irving Arts Center for all your entertainment needs. For families From the pool to the golf course and even the spa, there is something for everyone in the family. Kids are top of mine here with events like movie night on the lawn, s’mores by the fire, and even a meet and greet event with the Dallas Zoo. During the summer, kids can take part in the golf , tennis and swim summer camps. Anything left to mention? This is a very popular place to have a wedding in North Texas. If you’re recently engaged, it is perhaps worth a tour." - Diana Oates

"Though technically in Irving, midway betweenDallasand Fort Worth, this Four Seasons outpost has honorary Big D status: Opened in 1986, it was a pioneer in the city’s luxury hotel scene, with Spanish Colonial–style vaulted walkways leading to 12 tennis courts, three pools, and two 18-hole golf courses (the resort’s Hall of Champions displays memorabilia from pro player Byron Nelson’s private collection). The 16-room Well & Being Spa was the first in a Four Seasons hotel and lives up to the honor with standout facilities, including wet and dry saunas, an eight-head Vichy shower, and a thermal area with hot and cold pools. If you’re feeling more active, the 6,000-square-foot gym features indoor–outdoor jogging tracks, AntiGravity yoga, a half-court for basketball, and a schedule of more than 40 fitness classes every week, from barre boot camps to TRX. After all the fun, retire to one of the 431 rooms and suites, which are located in both the main tower and a series of low-rise villas. Each one is outfitted in a residential style and has the perks you’d expect from the brand, but villa options kick it up a notch with fire pits or gas fireplaces, deep-soaking tubs, and views of the pool or golf courses. Come dinner time, savor refined Texas-inspired cuisine at LAW (Land, Air, Water), which highlights the best regional produce, or enjoy drinks and casual fare at OUTLAW Taproom, where you can also play pool on an heirloom 1891 table inlaid with mother-of-pearl."

"How did it strike you on arrival?Driving up to the property in Las Colinas northwest of Dallas, I'm taken by the Spanish colonial-style architecture and the beautiful grounds. When you're in Dallas proper, it is easy to forget how lovely large stretches of impeccably maintained grass can be. Here that grass is part of two 18-hole golf courses—TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas and Cottonwood Valley. What’s the crowd like?Despite the Four Seasons label, this hotel feel laid back, so you'll find a great mix of people. While sitting in the lobby for any extended amount of time you are likely to see a guys golfing group, a wedding party, and a young family headed to the pool. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.I stayed in a premiere villa suite, which has quite a bit more going on than the entry level rooms, and it was well worth it. There was a lovely living area complete with a fireplace that was perfect for entertaining. There was a full bathroom in addition to a powder room and the large dining table was perfect for enjoying meals as a family. My favorite area was the wraparound terrace and its views of the TPC course. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention?Don't underrate a good turndown service. Here it helped to keep the room clean and zen. What do they have for food?Lovers of locally sourced meats will go nuts for LAW, which stands for "Land, Air and Water." Executive chef Christof Syré serves up Akaushi beef from Beeman Ranch in Harwood and scrumptious redfish from Copper Shoals Farms in Port O’Connor. The quail and chicken are also locally sourced. LAW's master sommelier, James Tidwell, will help you select the perfect pairing for your dish of choice. In-room dining here is also an absolute luxury. My meal of choice? Breakfast! Start with a large pot of La Colombe coffee and ease into things with a Texas pecan twist or a piece of banana bread. For your main meal, I would suggest Huevos Las Colinas, with two eggs, tortilla, avocado, black beans, queso fresco, and ranchero sauce. So good (and so Texas). Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The driver of the mini shuttle who transported us from check-in at the main resort to our villa suite was helpful, personable, and offered us some tips and tricks to score the best seats at the two outdoor pools. Anything we forgot to ask about? Those who enjoy staying active on vacation will love this resort and its fitness facilities. Think jogging tracks, an indoor lap pool, group exercise studio (more than 40 classes a week), 12 tennis courts, and two golf courses. My favorite class? AntiGravity aerial yoga for the win. What's the bottom line? The Four Seasons feels like home, and to me, that is priceless. This hotel is warm and welcoming to the entire family. And the golf alone is enough to make it worth it for the athlete in your life." - Diana Oates

5/10/25: We stayed for Mother's Day weekend. Prior to our visit, I spoke with Nadya to ask questions about dinner and the Mothers' Day Brunch. She was very nice. Kris, at the front desk, was friendly and professional during the check in process. He was able to provide an upgrade since I'm a Diamond member. The suite he selected was very nice. Andrea, from housekeeping, was very nice in providing additional coffee condiments and water. Maria delivered the items, and she was very pleasant. We met Chef Austin Fullerton, and he was very pleasant, as he led us out the gate towards a sports bar. The property was very nice, the valets were helpful in providing parking information, and the staff overall were very pleasant and responsive. Our shower had great water pressure. The only downside was that the toilet in our room was very low, definitely not chair height. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Delightful stay after early morning flight cancellation. We were happily checked into a corner room at 8am. Ron was very nice, refreshed, nice bed and sheets. We sprung for club level since it was pouring outside. It was worth every penny- great food and coffee, lovely staff. Large fitness center, and nice spa. I had an amazing massage with Brad. The only minor disappointment was that the Outlaw Taproom was being used for a private event. Perfect stay.

My twin boys, who just graduated from Texas Tech, and I celebrated graduation and Mother’s Day this weekend at the Ritz Carlton in Las Colinas. It was an absolutely fabulous and amazing weekend!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful hotel!! From start to finish our stay was amazing. | The customer service is awesome and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous with all of the new renovations. |Clayton at reception was so kind, patient and helpful when I couldn’t find the exact room I was looking for online. The suite he found for me and my boys was perfect and it was so beautiful! |Shortly after my boys and I arrived, a very sweet & kind lady named Judith knocked on our door and brought my boys a cake to congratulate them on their graduation!! |I upgraded us to the Club Lounge and it was worth every penny!! The food, snacks, desserts, cocktails, and wine selections were top notch!!! Every single thing was fabulous!! And the people that work in the Club lounge are so very nice and helpful. |They had a Mother’s Day brunch in the club lounge and had a an omelette station, mimosas and so many delicious foods to choose from! My boys’s favorite was the espresso, latte machine where they could make whatever delicious coffee drink they wanted and the 8-10pm nightly dessert showcase!! |I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. My boys and I had an amazing weekend and will definitely be back next time we are in the DFW area.

I surprised my husband with a Father’s Day stay. Needless to say we are extremely disappointed. While, the grounds and room are beautiful the pool service and pool bar service is essentially none existent. It took over an hour to get a drink and almost as long for someone to clean up the mess at near by lounge chairs. At one point, an attendant asked if I was at a cabana when I said no she walked away. We spoke to 3 different managers without a resolution. This was only the tip of the iceberg with our issues. Save yourself the trouble this is far from the luxury stay one would expect at the Ritz.

We had a great stay over Easter weekend. The service here is excellent, friendly, and attentive. The food offerings in the Club Lounge are delicious and we hung out there most of the day when it wasn’t sunny otherwise we relaxed poolside or were working out in the extensive and feature rich athletic facility. To call it a gym is a serious understatement.

This is a nice property with refreshed interiors and plenty of outdoor space. The rooms do not have black out window treatments. The plantation shutters let in far too much light for my preference. Also the noise from outside filtered up to the 6th floor. There were multiple business groups in the hotel and their events could be heard in my room when I was trying to sleep. There was rowdy behavior on my floor in the middle of the night which was intolerable but not the hotel’s fault. I was not impressed with the food and beverage. Hotel food is rarely exceptional but this felt below standard especially for the Ritz Carlton brand. The property only offers Pepsi products and selections in the honor bar and at the restaurant are extremely limited for non alcoholic beverages. Room service was particularly awful with high fees, poor selection, and inadequate service. The spa is large and although I did not take advantage of it, it looks quite nice. I think if you come to enjoy the golf, spa and pool it’s probably great. Just wasn’t for me as a business traveler.

This Ritz property is absolutely lovely, nestled in a beautiful location. It’s conveniently close to everything, yet surrounded by serene scenery and a lush golf course that feels worlds away from the hustle of big buildings. My check-in experience with Jason was truly exceptional. His sincerity, outstanding customer service, and attention to detail were top-notch. I kindly ask that management commend Jason for making the start of my trip so special—it’s a memory I will cherish for a very long time. Thank you Ritz Carlton and a special thank you to Jason, front desk representative.

Google
RC Las Colinas has top notch service and great facilities (adjacent to Las Colinas country club with classes, golf and tennis). This hotel represents RC service from beginning to end. It started with Murad, their house manager, who worked magic to accommodate a last minute change for us, followed by the front desk upgrading us upon early check-in (which nowadays rarely happens) and having a beautiful birthday cake waiting for me. The Club level staff was lovely, attentive and anticipatory. The food was healthy and delicious and their double chocolate chip cookie was to die for. The concierge was super helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations. Finally, there was an issue with a charge after we left and Aaron from the front desk quickly resolved over the phone. All in all, RC Las Colinas and its staff made our stay welcoming and relaxing. Will be back!

Yelp
Phenomenal is the one word I would use to describe this place. Stayed here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and from the moment I booked it, the customer service was above and beyond my expectations. I called ahead of time to see if they could help me surprise my husband for our anniversary and Aaron was so helpful in getting something to the room before we arrived. Our Villa was spectacular and spacious. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and cheerfully by both the valet attendants and the front desk staff. When we arrived to our room, it was clean, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked. The property grounds were gorgeous with an on-site golf course and Sports club (with membership). They have slight renovations happening as Marriott took over this property (previously Four Seasons). Guests have the option to valet or self-park, but it's a bit of a walk for self-parking. However, shuttle carts are available. We had two drivers that were very pleasant during our stay, Nahim & Alex. They were helpful and told us a bit about the property. We also enjoyed a delicious meal at Knife Italian and Victoria, the greeter, was kind enough to take a picture of us. Our server, Bruce, was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like royalty. Wonderful job by the management!

Yelp
The rooms are fine but this is a hotel in obvious decline. I am staying for two nights and the hotel gym is unavailable. something about staffing problems. staff are pleasant but this is obviously not a four seasons or even close.

Tonya K.

Yelp
Attended for a conference and very impressed with the staff, service, and quality of food. From breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner it was all very fresh, tasty, and good quality. Definitely a step above the usual conference food. Comfortable lecture room and extremely comfortable chairs made all day sessions much more pleasant. Definitely a quality location for business and pleasure.

Yelp
Sunday afternoon of Dec 22nd and the absolute rudest bartender at the juniper bar at the lobby. Complained about everything and made ordering the over expensive drinks absolutely miserable. It is like this bartender was out to make your entire experience miserable. Also not up to ritz Carlton standards or Marriott - staff is poorly trained and doesn't care and when checking in Marriott/ritz status means nothing in terms of an upgrade or anything for that matter - whereas the ritz downtown is the epitome of status and service honored. This hotel could learn a LOT by another Rtiz Carlton that Is within 15 miles.

Yelp
We stayed here for Hub's seminar. I stayed in the room or walked the grounds. Tip: Upon arriving ask for a map of the grounds for facilities and paths. A beautiful athletic facility has all kinds of exercise machines, classes and indoor tennis courts. I walked the indoor track above all of these. Outside are tennis and pickleball courts. The tournament golf course is amazing. Hubs enjoyed playing it. The pro shop has a lot of merchandise. Everyone is kind and helpful. The rooms are very nice. The espresso machine was my favorite. The housekeeping staff was thorough, since I saw them every day. The food was delicious. Valet and free parking available.

Yelp
This is not even up to Marriott standards let alone a Ritz Carlton. The only thing worse than the facade of the building is the service in each of the restaurants. Arrive and order your dinner by 5:00pm if you hope to eat your disappointing, poorly cooked, prison quality meal by 8:00pm. The flourless chocolate cake taste like a dirty sponge and extracted all of the moisture from my body. Ordered the chicken from room service only to find it had been mummified and dated back to the Regan administration. The only thing moving with earnest anywhere near their restaurants or the pool were the roaches. Yes, there were roaches. The rooms are slightly below average at best. I stayed in one of their "villas". It was nice to be away from the main building that resembles an insane asylum from an horror movie. Unfortunately, they resembled the foyer of building that housed my Dentist, Chiropractor and Therapist (who I will now need to see after this painful visit). Please do yourself and the Ritz Carlton brand a favor and avoid this place with everything you have. You would be doing them a favor by expediting the removal of this property from their storied brand. The only positive was the team that checked us in. I hope they find new employment soon.

Laura P.

Yelp
They are still finishing their renovations. Plus, we arrived the day that a HUGE storm had blown through in the morning. Lots of limbs down, debris, etc. All that is understandable. We definitely had some glitches, and the staff was overwhelmed. But when we expressed our disappointed, the staff went above and beyond to make it up to us. This is exactly what we expect and appreciate from the Ritz. As they are still recovering from the renovations, I recommend you wait until they are fully functional. And then this should be fantastic resort.

Yelp
I was here last week for a conference. I have also stayed here when it was the Four Seasons so I'm able to compare the two. The property looks much the same as before - the beds are very comfy, showers are great (good flow, hot hot water - though some of my cohort in the villas said they may not have gotten water as hot as they liked) and well appointed roomy rooms. The catering services were pretty good - I'm vegan so there were some things I was pleased with and some things not so much. For example: quinoa isn't a great choice in my opinion because it so easily gets stuck in your teeth which is not something I want at a business function, they surprised at breakfast with an omelette using some kind of vegan egg (didn't taste like a Just Egg but maybe something made in house which was a nice touch), they even had a delicious vegan dessert one night (though just the one night). Overall the meals were hit or miss so I think there's room for improvement there. Service, though, was great - anytime I had to find someone to ask about a vegan option, they were very helpful. Service in the lobby bar is very good as well. The Outlaw bar is also a fun place. I don't know how they make their French fries but they're clearly sprinkled in fairy magic because they're the best damn fries I've ever had in my life. The pool is still under construction so the view from my window wasn't great (though the night skyline view is nice) but hopefully they have it finished by summer. I think the spa is also closed right now.

Lezlee L.

Yelp
On hold for 10 minutes with a resort-seriously? I just had one question. Is your spa open? Called from a different phone. "Can I put you on a brief hold?" No! A brief hold is not 10 minutes and then he was rude to me for being bothered that I want to book three nights and spa but he is tooooo busy with people checking in. I have a $250 spa gift card. Are you going to even honor it? I cant ask the reservation desk because bless their hearts too busy and not enough help and they probably are not sure any way. I get being understaffed and overwhelmed but rude and poor attitude is not the Ritz Carlton way Or maybe it is now. So sad!
