Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh – Family Stay in October Half Term|We stayed at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh between 27/10/2025-3/11/2025 as a family of five on a bed and breakfast basis, and overall it was a really special stay. |The resort itself is undeniably luxurious and set on a huge plot of land – you’re reliant on golf buggies to get around. The hotel never felt overcrowded and we never had to fight for sun beds, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy.|Breakfast was good and whilst the selection wasn’t as broad as we’ve seen in other high-end hotels, the quality of the food was good and the service in Arabesque was excellent – staff were attentive and friendly. One downside, however, was the number of birds flying around the food hall, and we did sometimes find bird droppings on the table or have birds directly above us while we ate, which isn’t ideal at this level.|The beaches were a real highlight. There are two, both with lovely soft sand and a short jetty leading out to a beautiful coral reef. Snorkelling there was a fantastic experience and a big plus, the reef and variety of underwater life is breathtaking. |Staff are attentive throughout, without being overbearing.|Unlike some other resorts in Egypt, the entertainment here is more toned down, which for us was actually quite nice – it felt calmer in the evenings rather than loud and hectic. However it was also quite hard to navigate where the various activities/entertainment was taking place without asking someone. |The kids’ club offers activities during the day and the staff were quite good at switching off the PlayStation/TV during activities and actually engaging the children, rather than just parking them in front of a screen.|My son had an accident on one of the golf cars, staff immediately came to help. Management were proactive too which was reassuring. ||For dinner, there are plenty of on-site options and the variety is good, but prices are on the expensive side. However, Soho Square with lots of alternative restaurants is very easy to reach from just outside the hotel, which provides flexibility and slightly more wallet-friendly choices.|In terms of accommodation, some of the rooms are clearly older and feel a bit dated in style, although they’re still finished to a decent standard and well maintained. There are also much newer rooms which are noticeably more modern, so it’s worth being aware of that distinction when booking.|We visit Egypt and the Sharm El Sheikh area quite often, and this stay at the Four Seasons, whilst being considerably more expensive than other options, largely lives up to expectations and is up there as one of our favourites. With a few tweaks – particularly around the breakfast environment – it would be close to perfect for a luxury, family-friendly beach break.
