Four Star Mushrooms

We came here for the open house tour and we are so glad we discovered this spot. Looking at the racks of mushroom growing in the cells was amazing. We also tried their mushroom home with recommended recipes and we loved it!

I actually ordered mushrooms as a unique gift for my boyfriends birthday because he always looks for interesting ingredients at the grocery store. I ordered one pound of each type of mushroom and he was SO excited!! They looked beautiful and tasted even better. Plus, they lasted for almost a month! They’re all gone now but we definitely miss the texture and flavor they added to our meals. I can’t wait to buy again and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested in supporting a delicious & local business.

Great first experience! I was looking for local Lion’s Mane mushrooms. Four Star Mushrooms did not disappoint. Joe was very fast responding to my questions through email. He directed me exactly where I needed to go to find my Lion’s Mane powder. I pulled up to the store front and my order was ready to go. I highly recommend Four Star Mushrooms. Their products and customer service is outstanding. It is an added bonus that is in Chicago. I will definitely go back!

Four Star Mushrooms produce the best gourmet mushrooms available in the Chicagoland area. I was introduced to the brand through various restaurants where their mushrooms are featured across the city and have recently been purchasing my own to experiment with and cook at home in my free time. The Lion's Mane have been my go to. Although intimidating at first, once you're able to cook them to perfection, they're not only delicious but full of nutrients and various health benefits.

Four Star is an urban mushroom farm. You can find their mushrooms at some Jewel and Mariano locations. If you see them, they're worth every penny! Most flavorful mushrooms I've ever had, short of foraging them myself.

I have ordered from Joe and Four Star Mushrooms twice so far. Both times, my week was made. I love mushrooms and enjoy River Valley Ranch mushrooms as well, but, having these delivered to my house, is even better. I am vegan and have used these mushrooms to make mapo tofu, fried rice, and fried mushrooms that were some of the best dishes I have ever made. A very valuable resource nearby!

I have ordered mushrooms here twice, and they are AMAZING! I don't know where else I could find mushrooms like this, this fresh and intact for this price. The one in the pic is as big as my dog. Ive tried the lion's mane, blue oyster and the chestnut, and all were phenomenal. Customer service is out of this world, and I usually have my mushrooms within a day or two of placing the order online. I also am pretty close to his location, so that might have something to do with it! The selection seems to change, so i follow on Instagram for the inside scoop! This is a great way to support small business, treat yourself in these crazy times, and eat healthy all at the same darn time. So happy I found them!
