A CBD hideaway with a leafy courtyard and shelves of books, pouring espresso from local roasters by day and hosting events at night. Listed by WWOZ and often recommended by locals, it’s a smart detour from the French Quarter crowds.

Absolutely love this place!! it is a true hidden gem! Hands down one of the best coffees I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is beautiful, with plenty of comfortable seating to relax in. The baked goods are delicious, and the burritos are absolutely incredible. Do not miss trying their locally made chili sauce, it is a game changer. Also, the coconut cream cake is a must-have treat. We actually discovered this spot while planning our NOLA trip and even chose our hotel nearby so we could walk here every morning, and we did. On the day we arrived, we went straight here at 7:30 AM, and the peaceful vibe was perfect to start our trip. Seriously, do not miss out on this place!

So the coffee was good. The draw to this coffee shop is the vibe. I was honestly distracted from my coffee and scone to just take in the artwork and NOLA ambiance. There is a front area that is typical of most cafes, but as you meander back, there is a nice bar area with seating and lovely decor. Then, there is an enchanting outdoor patio with a koi pond of sorts. Going deeper still is a private room of sorts with another bar area and several more conversation areas. The food was good, and the coffee was worth stopping for, but this is a place to enjoy friends with or have a contemplative cup. Paid parking only.

One of my favourite cafés in the world (and I travel a lot)! Café, living room, art gallery, study room, cocktail bar and courtyard in one fluid, spacious, organic, inviting space. Excellent coffee with latte art and helpful staff. Each piece of furniture or art has been thoughtfully curated to make this a cohesive space with character, paying homage to the vibrant city outside. A peaceful oasis to escape to!

Google
This was my favorite spot to get coffee and chill. The coffee was really good and slightly stronger than I am used to. The prices were fair. The staff were very helpful. The place was very cozy and has a courtyard oasis. Plenty of seating inside and limited seating in the courtyard. Parking is limited to street parking.

Google
5 stars all around! From the latte, the blueberry scone, the atmosphere…this place is such a gem. The courtyard was a peaceful and beautiful respite, which was entirely unexpected. I will most certainly be back over and over every time I come to NOLA.

Google
Cool little spot with an eclectic, kitschy vibe. The inside has mismatched vintage furniture that somehow works, and there’s a chill outdoor seating area too. I had the sausage croissant—super fluffy inside with a nice crispy edge. Simple but really well done. Good place to hang out, especially if you’re into laid-back, offbeat spots. Update: I’m finally back home and got to try the beans I picked up from Fourth Wall. They were from Pretty Coffee Roasting, which I think might be a local roaster. I’ve got to say—both the espressos and lattes I made were smooth, and you can definitely taste the flavor profile described on the packaging. A little on the pricy side for a 10oz bag but worth it.

Google
Stumbled across this place and it’s such a cool find. From the outside, it looks pretty low-key, but once you walk in, there’s this awesome open-air courtyard tucked in the back, full of plants, string lights, and a peaceful vibe. Great spot to grab coffee or, a pastry and just hang out. Super laid-back, friendly atmosphere, and perfect if you’re looking to escape the usual downtown buzz for a bit.

It was my first time visiting New Orleans and this was HANDS DOWN my favourite coffee place there. I tried a few other places but the coffee wasn’t even comparable to Fourth Wall. The barista was very friendly too and the decor was so unique.

Yelp
Fourth Wall Coffee is amazing! The outdoor sitting area is quintessential New Orleans--very cool! I regret not taking a snap of it. I had an iced latte with honey and cinnamon; it was the best drink I had while visiting NOLA. Although the line was fairly busy, the barista worked through it very quickly without sacrificing taste.

Yelp
I saw pictures that showed a vintage vibe so i immediately had to give this place a try. The cafe is kind of hidden so make sure to read the writing on the door/walls to help direct you to the entrance. This cafe is great for studying and there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy your food. There was a bit of a wait before I ordered and there were only two workers working during the time that I was there. I ordered the matcha latte and egg and cheese croissant. The matcha wasn't sweet, but I believe I had to ask for vanilla pumps. The egg and cheese croissant was the standard and it was a great food item to start off my day.

Yelp
The place is bigger than imagined for a coffee shop. Essentially it's two store spaces and one out back patio area. The decor can best be described as a writers paradise exuding creativity with every drop of coffee consumed. The outdoor corridor is whimsical while indoor gives an open mic unspoken words coffee shop feel. Service is alright. I stood there waiting for my drink and turns out it was on the other side of the bar. They could've told me that a little sooner than me awkwardly staring at them making endless drinks. Nevertheless, great place in the AM for a coffee break, getting work done or catching up with friends. The menu has all the necessities plus a splash of early happy hour in your cup. Pick up a pastry or two on your way out. Glad I stumbled upon this place to put a pause and enjoy a little calm in this city.

Yelp
Pretty good coffee. They gave a patio outside and looks aesthetic and there's seats in front of the store. Parking is a bit hard cause it's street parking only. Maybe some garages.

Yelp
During my week in NOLA, Fourth Wall Coffee made the greatest impression on me. Firstly, deep rich espresso drinks made with skill and care. Secondly, a wide assortment of pastries and quiche (veggie options) from the local Ayu Bakehouse, a must visit in itself. Fresh, creative, delicious options. Thirdly, the staff are grounded, chill, and clearly care about the service they provide to the public. And fourthly, a welcoming, refreshing , peaceful, physical environment with several large rooms to find your ideal spot. Plus, an outdoor oasis filled with tables/chairs with a few small trees, large leafy plants, open to the sky, with an earthy natural flagstone floor. This is one of those one of kind gems that make a deep impression.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee shop located right in the heart of NOLA. It's a bit hidden as the signage is fairly discreet but once you get inside, there's some nice decor, an amazing courtside seating area and some good coffee. Totally recommend!

Yelp
This coffee shop was a great find!! The coffee was delicious. And the space- very unique, eclectic. I cannot wait to go back

Yelp
Such a stunning coffee shop with a gorgeous courtyard and smooth cold brew. This was such a good break from the busyness and noise from bourbon street and downtown overall. Quick and friendly service, tons of seats and a great place to work or study from.

Yelp
Such a cute, cozy space. I can tell they really love coffee here. It has a simple menu. The staff was happy to take care of us. I liked they had random mugs for the coffee for here, made it feel extra homey. There is tons of space and even a charming courtyard. And I love all the art on the wall
google avatar

Yelp
cool spot. very good cold brew. lots of seating options spanning a huge amount of square footage.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the quick and friendly service and the beautiful environment. The coffee drinks are good and worth stopping by if you are nearby.

Yelp
Loved this coffee shop while visiting Nola that I stopped there 4 times. The coffee is great. They offer a good selection of pastries and other items for breakfast or brunch, as well as pre packed snacks. The space is just perfect. Indoor area and outdoor patio, and an additional room that they use for certain showcases sometimes. It's decorated with wood and vintage furniture. Just a great vibe and friendly staff too.
google avatar

Yelp
I was looking for a cafe nearby for a coffee fix and discovered this place! There were a lot of people waiting for their drinks as there was only one person making them, so make sure to be patient. Thankfully, the staff lets you know the estimated time you may have to wait before you place your order. I decided to get an iced coconut honey latte as it was one of their specials on the menu. The coconut flavor wasn't too overpowering and was the perfect treat on a warm day. In addition to the drinks, there were also some baked goods, as well as some sandwiches in the fridge. They have an indoor and outdoor seating, which is a plus. The outside area reminded me of a courtyard with the greenery against the brick wall. When I visit NOLA again, I would like to visit again to try out the other drinks they have.

Yelp
Randomly stopped in here and I was so pleasantly surprised. It is such a beautiful space and so much bigger than I anticipated. The coffee and tea was well loved by my group who all tried different drinks. I can't wait to come back and stay longer!!!
google avatar

Rishmithaa S.

Yelp
I should've known this place was going to be bad. Sure with crowd comes fast food and fast coffee. But it was just so bad. The food was barely heated up. Coffee was undrinkable.
google avatar

Yelp
A sweet spot with a garden and bar. The staff was nice and quality of coffee was good. Lots of good snacks amd the peaceful garden was the best little find.

Lindsey G.

Yelp
The most beautiful coffee shop! Hope and Kyle were incredibly kind and warm- immediately put a smile on my face at 8am on a Saturday- and the coffee was the best I have had in New Orleans.
google avatar

Anisya N.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is beautiful. It's so rustic, earthy and artsy. Got the iced matcha latte with oat milk and honey and I loved it. Matcha was smooth and tasted authentic. My friends got the salted caramel, matcha latte with whole milk and a warm matcha latte as well as a breakfast sandwich and croissant. The croissant wasn't warmed up but was decent. The whole milk matcha latte tasted just like whole milk. Overall though a nice place- will say their WiFi though is pretty slow.

Yelp
Another gem we found by exploring. My husband and I were taking a stroll and wanted coffee. We walked up in this place and it's the cutest, little quaintest place. We let the barista know it was our first time and she asked great questions to get an idea of what we like. My husband ordered a lavender and honey latte and I ordered a vanilla and lavender latte. There were only two options of milk: whole and oat. The oat was great because we try to be as diary free as we can. The coffee was hit and tasty. It's not noticeable and in a "duck off" but those are the best places to us. Definitely a five out of five

Yelp
As someone who works from home and lives in the neighborhood this is one of my favorite places to do work as long as no one is smoking in the courtyard which can be an issue. Otherwise it's a quiet little oasis from the chaos of the city with delicious matcha, chai and coffee some pastries and light food and overall a great vibe. The inside space is also very cozy but the courtyard is my favorite. The staff is always friendly and they offer a here option which as someone who drives to be environmentally friendly I really appreciate. They also sell cocktails which I have never had but based off of the coffee I am sure are great!
google avatar

Yelp
So grateful this glorious spot was around the corner from my hotel while in Nola for a work conference. The service was great, the coffee delish, and the atmosphere perfection. It has a good amount of seating plus an adorable little courtyard in the back that definitely looks old enough to have some stories to tell. All we had were lattes both to stay and go. Fair warning, the large latte has 4 shots... Just what you need for a full day event!
google avatar

Mansi S.

Yelp
This is the coolest coffee shop in town! Drinks are pretty standard but the coffee is delicious. Staff is friendly. If you want to try any of the pastries make sure you arrive early in the morning. We had a slow start and all they had left was banana bread- which was so good!! It was light and fluffy, which feels rare for banana bread. The inside and outside patio seating areas are beautiful and perfect for enjoying the nice weather. Patio does allow people to smoke, which we had a hard time with in Nola in general. Definitely check them out if you're searching for a cool coffee shop! It also looks like they have a bar for night time.

Yelp
Some of the best coffee in New Orleans with very comfortable atmosphere both inside and on their patio outback. The cold brew is consistently smooth and strong how I like it, with a wonderful selection of sweet and savory bites. It is the perfect weekend coffee shop to enjoy slower mornings and a great cup of coffee and a snack. Service has always been fast and helpful. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here during the Taylor Swift weekend because my friend and I needed breakfast and coffee. Fourth wall worked through the line so quickly and with great attention to detail and service. We were so impressed. I ordered a drip coffee with sugar free hazelnut and my friend got a cappuccino. We ordered the quiche and croissant sandwich. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor patio surrounded by greenery, and the entire ambiance reminded one of a cozy and intimate yet chic living room. So comfortable yet extremely fashionable. Really enjoyed this place and looking forward to breakfast tomorrow as well.

Yelp
Found a handful of amazing coffee spots in NOLA, this one was a little more "hidden." Great coffee, friendly service.

Maira M.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop near Canal St hotels. Beautiful interior and friendly baristas. Tried the iced americano, iced dirty chai with oat milk, and an iced matcha - all great!! Really nice shady patio, as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cool space and surprising large. I can tell they most host events in the shop. We stopped in on a work trip to grab a drink and loved looking at all the decor and exploring the space. Would definitely return and maybe attend an event.

Yelp
Great space & location! And, if that doesn't matter, the coffee drinks are spectacular!

Yelp
Wow! What's secret gym. I work a block away and never knew this little oasis existed. Nice people and a beautiful New Orleans courtyard and a good espresso shot!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
A great early morning spot. Beautiful "escape" from the qaurter, and high quality coffee. The quiche was good too! I really like the atmosphere and the bartender was friendly. It is kind of dark inside but it works there.

Yelp
Cute shop! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Super friendly and efficient baristas. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Very cute coffee shop with an outdoor area, WiFi, and plenty of seating. **Price & portion, 4/5** A small cup of coffee will run you about $5-6, which is a teeny bit high for the portion size (probably a 12 oz cup). I also purchased a bag of unground coffee beans here, and it was $21 for a 10 oz bag -- definitely the most expensive beans I've ever bought! **Taste, 4/5** The mocha latte I ordered was solid and I liked that I could really taste the cocoa. I tried some of my friend's decaf coffee though, and it was extremely sour/acidic, which was unpleasant.

Yelp
Hidden gem near the French quarter. Gourmet drinks, fresh quality pastries, quiet quaint courtyard. Attached to an art gallery. Perfect place to read, catch up with friends, meditate. A real sanctuary! Love it!!
google avatar

Anokhy D.

Yelp
In a city full of dark roast, this is THE place for a medium roast coffee. And they have plenty of seating in their artsy interior and their open air back patio. We got two lattes, a bag of beans, and a Kaya bun (which was so good, we came back at the end of our trip to grab another one for the road).
google avatar

Cindi M.

Yelp
Great place, with great coffee. The service was on point and I loved the eclectic decor.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, this place was great. I went after seeing locals post about it on Reddit saying it had one of the best Chai latte's they've had. That is my favorite drink so I had to try. I can attest that this is the best iced chai latte I've had in the city. It is so well balanced. I also tried one of their season drinks. An iced brown sugar oat milk latte. It was also so good. With how friendly the staff was, the amazing drinks, and beautiful space I will definitely be back. It seemed like a great place to get some work done. Try this one out!

Yelp
A secret spot in the middle of the CBD - Fourth Wall Coffee. A garden oasis provided a great escape for the day. Get over there for some relaxation and a great cup of coffee
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing coffee place with good food too. Lovely quaint setting and great service. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
So my beef with Fourth Wall is that they close early (3pm) but that's just because I love the environment so much that I want to stay longer!!! It's cute, it's homey, it's all the things great of a coffee shop. I could legit hang out here all day. They have beautiful outdoor seating on their patio in the back, good coffee, lots of seating for working or reading, great WiFi, very cool staff too. The coffee is very good. They also offer a great selection of teas, and service wine too! 100% recommend this coffee shop. Pics don't even do it justice. You have to feel the vibe! If they stayed open til 5 or 6, my review would be 10 stars!!

Yelp
Wow, this place is a GEM! I'm an avid remote worker, and I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop to fuel my productivity. Fourth Wall Coffee is hands-down one of the best I've found in New Orleans. It's got this chill, artsy vibe with a bit of an old-world feel and quiet comfort, that makes it super easy to focus and get shit done. Plus, the coffee is seriously delicious. I'm a big fan of their cappuccinos, but they also have a great selection of other coffee. The front of the coffee shop has a book nook with a couple of seats up there that make it feel very cozy. As you walk back you are introduced to a cool bar with plenty of seating and a few tables that are perfect for posting up at with your computer. There is an amazing courtyard in the back that is well worth sitting out there when it's nice. This is also an event space so there is extra seating in the back through a set of doors so there's no lack of space. I was there on a Friday morning and it got pretty busy. Overall, it's the perfect place to work, relax, and connect, all in one amazing location. Here are some of the things that make Fourth Wall Coffee so great: - Spacious and inviting atmosphere: Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to work or a lively spot to socialize, Fourth Wall Coffee has you covered. - Delicious coffee and drinks: From their signature lattes to their creative cocktails, Fourth Wall Coffee has something to quench every thirst. - Friendly and attentive staff: The staff at Fourth Wall Coffee is always happy to help you find the perfect drink or snack. - Convenient location: Located in the heart of New Orleans, Fourth Wall Coffee is easy to get to from anywhere in the city. Head to Fourth Wall Coffee and experience it for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I was so happy to find this place. It's a triple threat. Great drinks, great pastries and beautiful ambiance. It was so picturesque a total stranger snapped our pic.

Yelp
Pretty decent coffee. Black drip coffee that you might even want to taste. Not much food. Study hall/work vibe. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
I was searching for a nearby coffee shop to walk to before I had to head to my conference. It's kind of tucked away from the main busy streets. It seemed to be popular as there were a handful of people sitting in the back room down the hall. There were a few people ahead of me in line as well. And they also have regulars, which I saw the baristas make conversation with. I ordered a slice of the quiche and a latte with vanilla and oat milk. The baristas looked young. Probably younger than me, maybe students still in college or post grads in their mid to late twenties. They did warm the quiche for me which was nice. Unfortunately, as wonderful as it looked, it was bland. Maybe they forgot to add salt this time? It was a nice thick slice though. The latte was decent. Like most large cities, espresso tends to be lighter to fit the tastes of most any coffee drinker. Still, I'm giving 5 stars since I liked the ambience. Earthy tones and a chill vibe. It seemed like a cool place to have sat a while if I had had the time. I'll come back if I have the chance!

Yelp
When I think of coffee shops in it's entirety Fourth Wall Coffee is the prototype. When you're dining in, no 2 cups are the same. (Literally because they don't have the standard cup like most coffee shops/big name coffee shops do). I had ordered the vanilla latte and you know, it's a vanilla latte.. can't really mess that up (I'M LOOKING AT YOU ST*RBUCKS) Vanilla Latte - 5/5 very well balanced, if not, they had simple syrup in the front if you prefer it to be sweeter. The baristas? were very nice and sweet to my girlfriend when she had asked for her drink to be sweeter These New Orleans buildings can either be really small or big, Fourth Wall Coffee is huge! We didnt check out the entire establishment but they have this courtyard where you can sit and enjoy your coffee surrounded by "suburban nature". We would have sat outside had it not been raining the night prior and in the morning.
google avatar

Jeanette S.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! They sell really unique things here, I assume all New Orleans/local snacks. I see beignet mix, jams, spicy chips, etc. I didn't try any of their pastries but was very tempted by the jalapeno corn cookie. They also serve cocktails as well. I really enjoyed the cappuccino I had here. I highly recommend!

Dan L.

Yelp
The plug for all things morning bliss! Matcha is absolutely on point with ceremonial quality made to order no premade bs. You can literally taste the love in their pastries--flaky, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet. And don't even get me started on the breakfast burritos... straight fireeee! Packed with flavor, perfectly wrapped, and guaranteed to kickstart your day right. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, this place knows how to take care of you. 10/10 recommend--this is your new go-to! Fourth Wall isn't just a coffee and breakfast spot, it's a whole vibe.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
Such a fantastic coffee shop! The Fourth Wall had everything one needs in a neighborhood coffee shop. The baristas were super kind and helpful, the shop had beautiful art, eclectic furniture, loads of space to enjoy beverages or food, and an intimate outdoor space with a water feature and loads of plants. Beautiful! The first time I was there, I ordered a double espresso and a cortado. Both were delicious! I was so impressed that I came back twice for my espresso each day I was visiting the French Quarter. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this place feels like home. Forget Starbucks or hotel coffee, get to this gem of a shop and enjoy quality coffee while supporting a local business contributing to the local economy.
google avatar

Prerana C.

Yelp
The latte was delightfully rich, with a perfect balance of creamy goodness and a tropical hint of coconut. Every sip was amazing! The ambiance here is just as lovely--warm, cozy, and oh-so-cute, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Yelp
Come here to recoup your sanity. This is the best coffee shop to recharge. The atmosphere, if you're a fan of nature, is beautiful. Greenery everywhere, art work hanging to keep your mind occupied if your interested in taking a look at it. Natural lighting. It's easy to get a lot of work done here. Coffee isn't crazy special, but delicious nonetheless. Service is 5 star .

Yelp
My new favorite coffee place! They are sort of hidden on Gravier between St. Charles and Camp. They don't have an actual sign on the building, so look for their address instead. Most times they put out a small sandwich board with their name on it in front of the door. My go to drink there is an iced latte, and every time I've gotten it, it has been perfect. They have really good Spinach Quiche and Blueberry Muffins, too. I love to sit in the courtyard in back. It's very peaceful and you forget you are in the middle of the CBD. Their 2 other rooms have plenty of tables and free wi-fi if you need it, too. They also have a full bar in back. I only come in the mornings, so I have not tried their bar drinks yet. All of the staff I have encountered here are super friendly, too.
