"The folks behind the eastside’s Lost River and Apartment Disco are opening a new spot called the Fourth Wall this week, offering visitors a chance to catch a film with the sound on at the bar. Opening at 15421 Mack Avenue, the bar’s cinema programming will include guest speakers, movies playing at all times, and Sunday double features offered in partnership with Cinema Lamont." - Serena Maria Daniels

Film nerds rejoice! I went to the Grand Opening, and while there are still a few kinks to work out, I already know this is my kind of place. Low-key and colorful, yet dark like a movie theater or your favorite dive. This is a bar where you can break the fourth wall and talk to your bartender about film, or whatever! It’s also a place to just catch some classic cinema for free. While I didn’t even get to the tasty treats this trip, I will definitely try next time. It smelled like heaven in there with fresh noodles and dumplings being made right beside the bar. I’m so excited to find a place for my kind of people, I can’t wait to meet new friends and talk movies. This feels like a bar where eventually everybody knows your name. Cheers!

Matt is cool. This place is awesome. A desperately needed watering hole for film enthusiasts in the area.
