Fowey Hall Hotel

The hotel is beautiful with a gorgeous view down to the town. The room was very spacious. It’s a very steep 10 minute walk to town to the shops and restaurants, but well worth it. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed nice cocktails in the evenings at the bar. The restaurant was okay. There was a bin for laundry service but no price information provided. We should have asked but didn’t. When we checked out we learned it was £30 per load. Wish we’d known so we would have done more in a single load instead of two loads. Oh well.

Thank you Hannah and Alison for making my Spa day so special! Hannah was welcoming lovely and personable. Alison administered the most wonderful facial so expertly. The environment felt so luxurious. I felt so much better after my lovely morning enjoying all the facilities...with the most stunning views! Can't wait to come back! Thank you!

After looking like it was going to be the trip of dreams, it was far from it. The hotel company had obviously spent ALOT of money refurbishing the hotel, and it was beautifully decorated, however that was about all it had going for it. The lack of staff was noticeable, it was like a ghost town. We opted to have dinner in the hotel, which when we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm. We were taken to a table, which was right next to a table which was flithy dirty and hadn't been cleaned; with food all over the floor - why on earth they couldn't have taken us to a different table, when the whole restaurant was empty god alone knows!?! For a family hotel, I would say it was far from that. They have their kids club, which you could use, but not sure I personally would want to use that facility. Other than that, you are greeted with a deep pool (both indoor and outdoor!), with no shallow end. No floats for the kids and no atmosphere. PLEASE think twice before booking here. The staff are noticeably under trained, and just don't look like they want to be there! For the money - you could find something ALOT nicer, and a lot more accommodating.

We recently held our 20th anniversary event for Coast Communications at The Fowey Hall Hotel, and it was outstanding from start to finish.|Ellie White, the Event Manager, supported us throughout the planning process with professionalism, care, and attention to detail, making the entire experience seamless. On the night itself, the staff were exceptional; calm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Maddy, in particular, went above and beyond and was a real credit to the team.|Liz, the wider team, and our guests all had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious, the wine excellent, and the atmosphere faultless.|Thank you to everyone at Fowey Hall for helping us mark such an important milestone so memorably.

Lovely hotel! Great for families with young children. We very much appreciated their on-site Ofsted registered kids club - more / longer daily sessions there would have been great, as you could tell my son absolutely loved it there. The spa treatment at their spa was incredibly relaxing. We stayed in a Classic room but it was still very spacious, even with a travel cot, and our bathroom was extremely spacious, with a roll top bath and a walk-in shower. We did though feel that the food in the hotel could be better with perhaps more variance in menu choices. That said, we loved that they offered fresh purees for babies. The restaurant and other staff at the hotel that we'd come across were all incredibly friendly.

My friends and I have just had a lovely day at the spa, would highly recommend! ||Maria gave us an incredible facial and massage, if you can book a treatment with her you won’t be disappointed!||We’ll definitely be back 🤩

Spa is good but did have to ask for robes and slippers, they aren't provided on entry as an FYI!! Went across to the hotel for lunch and really disappointed with the food, ordered hummus and pittas and the pittas were toasted but really chewy, not at all fresh (tasted like they had been toasted in the morning type thing) and the hummus with pomegranite mollases was awful - plain chickpea hummus with literally no flavour. Ordered a sourdough and butter starter to share and u get a big wedge of sourdough not even sliced up, so quite interesting to eat!! 😄 Lunch for 2 came to £57 which was 3 croquettes, sourdough wedge and butter starter, soup and the pitta and hummus dish, coffee and a mockail - crime of a price for such awful bland food 😥 Despite all this the location is beautiful - could really put some effort into a better food offering 🤗

Spent the morning at the Spa here and what a fantastic treat. I opted for the Morning Spa 10am til 2pm with a treatment abd light lunch. My massage therapist Molly was absolutely fantastic. Molly didn't hold back and managed to make me feel relaxed and lose all my tension in my shoulders. Highly recommend.

This review is for the dining room only. Very expensive dining room and the food did not justify the price. Beautiful and unusual desserts, however.
