Fox & Bear Lodge

When we were planning our fall wedding in Warwick, NY, one of the earliest and easiest decisions we made was directing our guests to stay at Fox & Bear. This place is incredibly charming and rustic where it counts (and modern and updated where it should be). The staff is very friendly, responsive and helpful, and the location is quiet without being remote or boring. We love it!

We had a wonderful time at the Fox&Bear Lodge. I cannot recommend it enough! The property is lovely, the owners are kind, responsive, and really hospitable. Best of all, our pup could come with us and even got a former dog cookie! We will definitely be back!

My family and I stayed at the Fox and Bear Lodge for 2 nights for a weekend get away. After reading so many favorable reviews and viewing so many beautiful pictures, we knew we needed to choose the Fox and Bear Lodge. The rooms are kept very clean, are very cozy, and decorated so nicely. The location is surrounded by farms, lakes, mountains, and charming towns. Most importantly, the hosts and owners, Dearrick and Brant make their Lodge feel like your home away from home. They provide excellent service, are helpful, and welcoming to their guests. We will certainly recommend the Fox and Bear Lodge to our family and friends! Thank you again Dearrick and Brant.

My room at the Fox & Bear was absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy. I could have slept for a week under the down comforter. I love the antique/vintage decor and the owners are both so friendly and helpful. Staying at the Fox & Bear is like being enveloped in a warm hug.

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience during our stay at Fox and Bear Lodge. Brant and Dearrick were so kind, hospitable, and really made us feel special as we celebrated our engagement. I can’t wait to come back and stay again in the future! :-)

I absolutely loved my stay here. Sipping coffee while watching both the sunrise and sunset from the beautiful second floor wraparound porch was exactly what I needed. The property is extremely dog-friendly! Great breakfast too. I truly can't wait to come back.

The location makes it very peaceful, but the some of the best things about this BnB was the fact, my mom and I could wake up in the morning and grab a blanket and sit on the porch with coffee or tea, it was beautiful and peaceful, with a very comfortable and cozy room. The bed was amazing, it was very clean, and the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion really make a difference. The staff was super friendly, they had a table with free drinks and a snack, the breakfast was very good and coffee was delicious. Overall, a fabulous BnB!

Absolutely amazing experience! Dearrick and Brant are so sweet and on top of it!! They will help you with anything you need! The house and rooms are so gorgeous and breakfast was yummy. Just down the road from stairway to heaven trail. So glad I stayed here!

Absolutely a treat! From the delicious breakfast to the adorable interior, I have to say, it's so lovely staying here. It is small and not super big. The staff is so friendly and provided us with recommendations. I walked in to find a personally written note welcoming us. The lodge was super quiet, and it had the best soap and lotion. Our room was perfect for a single or couple, since it is cozy. Picture, a studio. Yes, perfect. Like that. There were windows with sunlight pouring in, and beautiful planters and fresh flowers everywhere. I noticed when you walk in, there are boxes of water and tea available for us. I have to say that our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. I believe we were the only couple there, yet still, it was so wonderful. It is also located within driving distance of a lot of great farm-to-table restaurants and also cideries. The downstairs brunch location is right next to a cafe so you can buy pastries and coffee. I highly recommend it.

We had a reservation and last minute our kid got very sick. We tried to cancel and they would not budge on any kind of refund or ability to cancel. We were trying to save germs from coming into their hotel but clearly they care more about getting paid for nothing instead of health and safety of their guests. Their inability to be even a bit flexible will be a caution to anyone who ever wants to book there. The hotel was practically or fully unbooked for the night in question so this isn't like they gave up a room instead of another booking!

Beautiful lodge and welcoming, friendly innkeepers and staff. Would definitely go back again.

What a home away from home. I came here for some solitude, rest & relaxation. It was a snowy weekend & I couldn't have picked a better place! The owners are so charming & extremely hospitable!!! The extra touches are in each part of their lovely B & B! If you come here just for the Cafe ..... think about enjoying all of what Fox & Bear have to offer! I'll be back as soon as I can. Stayed at Fox & Bear Lodge this weekend and it was HEAVENLY. Full transparency, I do know the owners. They are absolutely lovely. And the lodge is no less lovely. There was so much attention to detail. The staff was attentive and helpful, especially Janice and Chuck. The breakfast was delicious. And the grounds were clean and well manicured. We enjoyed a curated music on Friday night followed by Saturday morning yoga session. I highly recommend a visit. 10 out of 10.

Everyone encountered involved in running this establishment was absolutely fantastic! Great accommodations, beautifully cozy room and grounds. Not a single complaint! Great getaway to reset.

If you come across this review STOP AND BOOK THIS PLACE. I stayed here for 5 days and was sad to leave when it was time to check out. The lodge stays true to its historic past. The rooms were super clean with their vintage touch. The owners Derek and Brent were extremely kind and treated me like family. There was so much attention to detail I was truly in awe. Some examples include fresh flowers in the room when you check in, a hand written welcome note, complimentary drinks upon check in - I can keep going! The properly is extremely beautiful with apple trees, rocking chairs, so many flowers, a campfire, a beautiful stream, walking bridge and even porch swings. I cannot wait to go back. It was an amazing experience I will never forget. Cell phone signal was great there as well as the WiFi ( I worked remotely without any issue).

Beautiful lodge. Very welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful scenery. Breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious. Upscale products included in bath and shower. Comfortable bed, slept great. Everything is locally sourced. Come support this local lodge and you too will feel like part of a family. It's like being at home!

We stayed here for a week. The owners Brant and Dearrick are very welcoming. The room is comfortable. Amenities are locally sourced, as are the breakfast offerings. We loved the wrap around porch to relax and enjoy the view and mountain air. Very relaxing stay.

Incredible stay at Fox & Bear lodge. The hospitality here is like no other. Felt so welcomed and taken care of. The breakfast is some of the best breakfast I've had and they even have home made yogurt. Run over and stay here!

This place is amazing I would definitely recommend going! I was not planning on staying here, but I was hiking the Appalachian trail and sprained my ankle and had to book a room last minute. Dearrick was super nice and he picked me up at the trailhead. Everyone I met there was so friendly and welcoming! The rooms and hotel are super cute, and the scenery is amazing. The breakfast was delicious. Overall you can tell they're doing everything to make sure that staying there is a great experience!
