Have ridden past this pub many times over the years but this time we called in for a refreshing pint and were treated as if we were old friends. The beers were as lovely as the staff. Will definitely be back soon.

Booked a table for 4, nice atmosphere, table by yhe sliding doors on a beautiful day, staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, complements to the kitchen team.

We dined at the Fox & Hounds on Halloween 🎃. We had a booking in the bar and brought our dog with us. We had some unwelcome comments about our dog from the next table who had encroached on our table space. The excellent staff swiftly dealt with the situation. We had superb food and exemplary service from the staff who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much to both our waitress and the duty manager. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will returning the future 😀

True gem of a place! Food is exceptional, cocktails are delicious and service is wonderful!

The food was nice service friendly but painfully slow but what really got me was the sneaky £9 service charge which we didn't spot until after I'd already left a cash tip and driven home and checked the receipt because we couldn't figure out why it was so expensive! It's a pub and we're not in France! Service charge is a rip off and a disgraceful way of sneaking more cash out of you if you don't read the small print! I normally have it removed if I spot it but I wasn't paying. We will definitely NOT be returning having felt robbed!

We chose to host our wedding reception at the Fox and Hounds as the food is so fantastic and we’ve had always had a great dining experience there. The process was stress free and simple and the staff worked with us every step of the way. We met with the head chef Brett who curated a menu with us for exactly what we wanted. He gave creative suggestions to make the menu as delicious as possible. The front of house manager Ricky helped us with sorting out all the fine details of the day including table plans, decorations, timings, and speeches. He always communicated with us and made things so simple and stress free. We couldn’t have been happier with the food on the day, it was incredible. Many of our guests commented it was the best food they had ever had. And the service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond. The space of the pub worked really well for our wedding. The overall effect with the decorations gave a cosy and atmospheric ambiance. There was also space for the DJ to set up with a dance floor area. Everyone had such a good time. I can’t thank the staff enough. If you are looking to host a wedding or event I absolutely recommend the fox and hounds.

Wonderful country pub with excellent food + warm and welcoming service. I was still thinking about that Burger a week later. The dishes are so well considered. Real thought has gone into each element. Will definitely be back and very much looking forward to it!

Service, food and atmosphere exemplary as usual - this is my second visit and we will definitely be back. Millie is a lovely member of staff and we always manage to have a nice chat, and a bit of banter! The only reason I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere is that it wasn't very busy (lunchtime), I like a bustling place... Lastly the food is pricey - BUT it is very nice! Highly recommended
