Located inside Reading Terminal Market, this is a gluten free haven! They also have vegan options. The corn dogs are delicious and the funnel cake is amazing. Worth the trip to Philadelphia just to experience the yumminess. They also ship the funnel cake flour and corn dog mix so you can make it at home. It was just as tasty as the restaurant!

Google
As a gluten free person I was so extremely excited when I realized this place is 100% gluten free!! The line was quick and the food was made super quick! I got the funnel cake with cinnamon sugar and whipped crème:To die for!!! absolutely delicious!!! Garlic Knot cheese curds:With this being the first time i’ve had cheese curds, i’ve fallen in love!!! Classic corn dog: What i didn’t expect was the little bit of salt on top of the corn dog, and i LOVED it!! best combo i can think of. Chorizo fries: i didn’t eat this but my dad bought this item and he love it! super filling with a hint of spice! Overall i would recommend this place to anyone visiting! Thank you for having your facilities being 100% gluten-free and making my day!

Google
I saw a lot of recommendations online to try the korean style dog with cheese and the garlic knot cheese curds. Oh boy, they did not disappoint! I wasn’t completely sold on the korean style dog due to the sugar but I tried it anyway and I am so glad I did. The sugar wasn’t overwhelming at all. It added such a nice touch. The chipotle mayo with the cheese curds is a must try combinations! My best friend is not big on spicy but even he loved that sauce.

Google
Amazing fair food options. All Gluten Free! Thanks for making food fun again!!

Google
Check your food before you leave. We paid extra for strawberries and when we opened our box there was none. This was for my friend’s birthday and we came all the way from Maryland. This place charges for everything if you ask for a lil of barbecue sauce for your fries they charge $1. What happened to 50 cent or free. That’s the standard. We asked for whip cream on the side for the funnel and it was super tiny as well not bigger than a quarter—-very stingy. I never seen anything like it. The food is not good and they over charge eg. one funnel cake with missing sides was $15.24. If I’m in town, I would not come back here.

Google
Got some deep-fried cheese curds with marinara sauce. They were exceptionally crispy with a beer-like batter and you could stretch the cheese to the moon. One box probably exceeds your daily caloric intake. Next time I’ll try the truffle cacio e pepe curds.

Google
Have never not enjoyed my food from fox and sons, but their prices have gotten out of hand lately; for ex: $6 for lemonade (it is good lemonade) is a bit insane especially bc that’s almost double what they used to charge. I get it once in a blue moon now bc it’s hard to justify spending that on a drink

Google
Big, big kudos for being so dietary restrictions friendly. I love their mission which has made me repeat customer. They have both vegan and vegetarian options. As a lover of hot dogs it warms my heart that I can eat a vegan corn dog. With that said I do think their batter is a touch too sweet. I've had both the plain and Korean corn dog and each time found it a little sweet for my taste. Nevertheless it's still a decent vegetarian option in redding terminal.

Yelp
This place is completely gluten free and celiac safe. The Korean Corndogs are a must. Absolutely amazing, will be coming back

Yelp
I stumbled on this stall while looking for food in this market that would be both vegan and gluten-free - imagine my surprise when I discovered that everything here at Fox & Son Fair Foods is gluten-free and they had vegan cheese curds?! So, obviously, I got the vegan cheese curds. I could have easily gotten a couple other things on the menu that were vegan as well, but I decided to get some Fried Broccoli Bites so I could pretend that I was eating slightly healthier by eating some vegetables. It was a lot of food, and heavy considering both items were deep fried. I could only eat like a third of each, but it meant I got to take some home for my boyfriend to try and snacks for the next couple days. But they were delicious with the dipping sauces that I got with them - they were a little bland without the sauces. The staff taking my order was also very helpful in answering my questions, since I wanted to make sure the vegan cheese curds really were vegan and the recommended sauces were vegan as well. There was a bit of a wait to get the food, as it was close to lunch on a Sunday, so they were quite busy, but it wasn't unreasonable at all. Thank goodness I don't have access to something like this near me - I would be tempted to go too often!

Yelp
This was the first time I have ever had a fancy corned dog. I ordered a sweet potato battered spicy sausage with cilantro crème. It wasn't bad but the flavors were a-little overwhelming and the batter was slightly over cooked. Overall the customer service was really good. I will definitely try again with a different flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
How have I not reviewed them yet?! I don't eat much fair food, but by chance I got fries here and discovered what might possibly be the best French fries I've ever eaten. I've been back a few times with family. We tried the vegan poutine. They also had a corn dog, and it was so beautiful that someone stopped to admire it, left, and came back to find out where to get one. I'm not a fan of hot dogs or most deep-fried fair food so i skipped them. But those fries have won me over. Drinks are good too. The bubble drinks like lemonade are refreshing, and they carry good bottled soda. But seriously...get the fries.
google avatar

Yelp
I know this is a very popular spot in Philly. I ordered the cheese curds with the Parmesan sauce. They are delicious with the sauce but without the sauce they have no taste at all. I do recommend you try these but order extra sauce.

Yelp
If you are gluten-free and / or looking for a food corn dog, try Fox & Son Fair Foods! Fox & Son is located inside the Reading Terminal Market alongside other shops that sell food, beer, goods, etc. With the robust amount of options for corn dogs and fries, I couldn't decide what to get. Was recommended to try the classic corn dog since I had never been here before. As someone who enjoys corn dogs a lot, I was able to tell there was a slight difference in the batter; however, it was so slight and way better than I expected a gluten-free corn dog to be. The garlic knot cheese curds are definitely the way to go! They're so tasty! Miscellaneous: - Bathrooms are located around the marketplace - There aren't tables specific to Fox & Sons, but there are community areas with tables throughout the marketplace

Yelp
Going to entirely gluten free restaurants is one of my favorite things! I love being able to order anything on the menu! I haven't had a corn dog in years and when I heard there were gluten free corn dogs in Philly I had to stop by. Fox and Son Is entirely gluten free and there are so many options. The menu is labeled and the staff seems well versed in food allergies. There were vegan corn dog options, and dairy free batter options. I got the classic corn dog with dairy free batter and saw it being freshly fried after I ordered. It was SO good. Since gluten free onion rings are also a rarity I got some of those as well and I'm so glad I did. I would recommend this to anyone looking for fun fried food in the Philly area - regardless if they eat gluten free or not! The line moved super quickly and there is nearby seating that is first come first serve within the Reading Terminal. Next time I am at Fox & Son I'll be trying the gluten free funnel cake!

Yelp
I have waited so long to try this as when I was in Center City last time, their batter blender was down for the day and they closed early. I went for the Korean corn dog with the spicy pork/beef blend dog. I also ordered a medium homemade lemonade. I'm a lemonade snob and this lemonade was fire. It was so good, I instantly wished I went for the large size. The corn dog was really good. The sugar on the batter brought a sweetness. The ketchup and mustard was the right amount, enough to cover the dog but not enough to drown it and make it unnecessarily messy to eat. Because I had the drink, i definitely needed to find a table that I could put the dog and drink down to eat. The market does have tables, both with seats and high tops that you need to stand. You have to be a little proactive / aggressive in grabbing a spot, but it's the easiest way to have the dog and drink together. I was able to share a table with a nice out of towner, shared conversation with what we each bought and gave each other tourist tips, me for Philly and her for Baltimore. I would love to come back in the future and try one of the dogs covered in queso or other delicious smothery goodness. Bonus - the casher was so nice. He seemed generally excited by everyone's order, and answering any questions.

Yelp
It was a fantastic corn dog, a wise choice for the market where there's virtually never any seating. This corn dog was eaten debatably a bit too fast but the creativity of the batter made up for the albeit fairly mundane hot dog in the middle. If they experimented with some hot dogs that have a bit of snap to it, I think they could really be onto something good here. I absolutely will come back if I have a craving for corn dogs and not really anything else. Service is about normal for the marketplace. Can't really complain and the food came out piping hot so there's that.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times I've gotten the garlic knot cheese curds. They are so good and fresh!
google avatar

Ashley J.

Yelp
Fox & Sons in reading terminal. Fully gluten-free. Has planted based sausage, egg and dairy free batter and fried cheese curds. 3 vegan dipping sauces. Epic crunch! So tasty! Vegan funnel cake too. I heard about this place, but I never sought it out until today. Blew my expectations out of the water.
google avatar

Theresa M.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our food here. The Korean Hot Dog (Mozzarella, no hot dog) was nice and cheesy! I would forego the ketchup next time but that's just a personal preference. And, I look forward to trying it with a hot dog sometime soon., as well. The cheese curds were hot and tasty, too. And, I had to try the fries since they are freshly cut! I couldn't resist and was happy I didn't! We all enjoyed them as well. One of the best things about going to the Reading Terminal Market is all of the unique, and traditional, foods that are offered, and sharing yours with others in your group and trying all of theirs as well! Check them out when in Center City! The atmosphere can be really busy, or not at all. Depends on when you go! We weee lucky this time, not busy at all. The staff here worked hard to get our food out quickly and were all friendly, as well, Check them out!
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
Got the cheese curds from this stall. They were warm and fluffy, cheese just melted in our mouth. They came with a side of ranch as well!
google avatar

Alexander P.

Yelp
$43 for 2 small dogs and fries + soda + tip. I mean, the lack of value here is astonishing and overshadows any critique that can be made about the food itself (fries were greasy and mushy). Would not return unfortunately, even though they have a vast GF menu.
google avatar

Mackenzie C.

Yelp
This place is so good! First time coming to Philly and heard a lot about this place. Love markets like this because you can watch them prepare your food! Everything was fresh and super yummy. Like that they used fresh chopped jalapeños and their pomegranate lemonade was amazing. Everything is well priced so highly recommend!
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
I saw the words "funnel cake" and I thought, "yes please!" Unfortunately, it was underwhelming and not something I would order again. This wasn't even close to the fluffy, sweet, perfectly cooked pile of funnel cake we get in north east PA.

Melanie R.

Yelp
Got the chorizo fries....came with a tablespoon of chorizo on top.....$15....... :((( I mean the fries are good but not $15 good :(
google avatar

Spencer W.

Yelp
Corn dogs were standard, I'd skip. RTM places were busy, wasn't on my list but looked interesting. Cheese curds were amazing. I'll round up my rating here to 4 star.
google avatar

Courtney E.

Yelp
Idk. I feel kind of iffy after eating here. The corndog was good. I never opt for one because all of the ones I've had in the past were not good, but the hotdog was juicy and the batter was soft, yet crunchy. The fried Oreos were just OK/average. I was very disappointed with the funnel cake. It was very bland and had burnt remnants of who knows what stuck to it, I assume while it was cooking. I would return for a corndog, but that's about it.
google avatar

Janrose S.

Yelp
Corn dogs sounded AMAZING and so did fried cheese curds. My boyfriend and I were at Reading Terminal Market to get food and I was attracted to Fox & Son because of the short line and yummy looking photos. I ended up getting the spicy pork and beef blend with sweet potato, chorizo, and crema on top. I also ordered some habanero cheese curds and a hibiscus lemonade. The corn dog was delicious, though if cilantro tastes like soap to you too, make sure to order it without. The cheese curds with the ranch that came with it were my FAVORITE food of the day and not even that spicy, just super flavorful. I'm a total savory/salty tooth so to some, they might be a tad salty but to me they were perfect. The hibiscus lemonade was pretty tart but a nice complement to the salty and savory foods. I'd recommend it all!

Renee C.

Yelp
I love this place. Very cool concept. Fantastic service, food and atmosphere Always busy, Fresh and everything is made in house.
google avatar

August F.

Yelp
Stopped here after grabbing a cheesesteak elsewhere. A+ poutine. The fries were cooked perfectly. The cheese curds and gravy were flavorful and generously covered the fries. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
The corn dog was absolute perfection. I got the plain dog, and the breading was the ideal quantity and quality. Super flavorful, needing only a hint of mustard to make the dog pop. I would love to try some of their specialty dogs on my next visit!
google avatar

Anoushka P.

Yelp
This place fulfilled my childhood dreams! A vegan and gluten corn dog that tasted just as good as I remembered it! There's a bunch of varieties as well, such as cheesy corn dogs and korean dogs. They had plenty of other vegan and gluten free classics, which was so exciting.
google avatar

Tina B.

Yelp
Amazing gluten free choices. Habanero cheese curds and "fancy" jalapeño and cheese corndogs are where it's at.

Megan B.

Yelp
The customizations are endless! All gluten free. The service was helpful, precise on delivering a great experience, and accommodating for almost all allergies. Definitely recommend, especially if you haven't had any fun fair foods in a while.
google avatar

Kiran N.

Yelp
standard fair cheese curds. felt kind of heavy on the grease after consumption. previously had this and also the funnel cake on a different occasion and had a similar experience
google avatar

Khanh-Chau M.

Yelp
Pretty good corn dog - I've never had a chili/scallion covered corn dog so glad I was able to try it! The hot dog part itself was okay in my opinion, but the batter and the toppings outside were very crunchy and tasty! I wasn't full after one corn dog, but it's fine when there's a ton of other things you can eat here as well.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
As a lifelong vegetarian, I've never had a corn dog but always wanted to try. I was thrilled to see they offer a vegetarian or vegan option (different batters with a Beyond Beef veggie sausage). I got the vegan one topped with vegan Chipotle Mayo. Within two bites I said, ohhh, I'm going to be thinking about this meal for a while. It was perfectly done, so crispy and flavorful. I would absolutely come back next time we are in Philly. We also tried the vegan poutine French Fries. They didn't have a whole lot of flavor, and I'd pass next time.
google avatar

Taj T.

Yelp
Classy corn dogs without the CORNdescension! The vegan and vegetarian options are awesome. There's a lot of creativity and craft on display here, but I love that it's paired with a lot of humility: the staff are so kind! The Dante's Cheese Curds are a great side. They're perfectly cooked, not too rubbery or salty, and the deep frying isn't overdone to where it's mostly grease. You might want more than one order as no one's going to want to share these lovelies. Out of the Corndogs, I loved the Original the best. With some ketchup and mustard it brought back the best memories of childhood without any of the flavor or fondness faded. The sweet potato battered Corndog didn't taste too much like sweet potato but the texture was pristine. And what's not to love about the cheddar jalapeño dog doused in creamy cheese sauce?
google avatar

Ameena A.

Yelp
As a person with celiac...this is my HEAVEN!!! I have not had a funnel cake since receiving my diagnosis, and it was perfection. The corn dog was delicious, and I love the different types of batter you can choose from. Everything is dipped fresh right there too! Do yourself a favor and try this food, especially if you have celiac or are gluten free for any other reason!
google avatar

kristin c.

Yelp
The Chili scallion corndog looked good but the chili on it had a taste I didn't like, like a strong smoky flavor.

Dallas J.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's my top place to grab a quick bite. They have amazing Corndogs and other great options too! Service is great, and the ambiance is nice, welcoming and friendly :)
google avatar

Christian H.

Yelp
Make way to Reading Terminal! This place is amazing, and a 5 star review doesn't do it justice! This place goes above and beyond with service. The staff is amazing and friendly, they even go out of their way to cater to each guest's Dietary restrictions offering gluten free and vegan options. They are the only certified Gluten Free restaurant in the market, with gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options. But let's talk about the FOOD - they come up with the most creative food items like specialty corn dogs and my personal favorite Korean Corn Dogs!!! Did you know they make everything fresh and by hand !!! Yes even the fries are cut at the store !! Must have , and a must see!

Katie M.

Yelp
What a treat! I was at a conference in Philly and lucked out finding this place. As someone with gluten and soy allergies, corn dogs have been a no-go for almost 15 years... Got the regular corn dog, and it was worth the wait! D E L I C I O U S!
google avatar

Marlyn V.

Yelp
So this was my second experience with Korean hot dogs, and realized quickly that I had either failed at ordering or there are many flairs to this thing. Hubby and I went to the Reading Terminal on a Saturday afternoon and naturally there were lines everywhere, so we divided to conquer. He grabbed a hot dog and I got some Thai food (yes, we have complicated needs) and off we went to search for a table. We ordered just the all beef hot dog, and realized it was the most basic corndog. Nothing fun about it, no cheese or fun sauces. We previously had a Korean dog it was stuffed with cheese and had fancy sauces. We went back to see where we failed in our order and the regular beef hot dogs don't come with anything. They do have other variations, (like an all cheese one, but no meat and others) just not what we had in mind. We paid $5 for the regular corn dog with no cheese and no flair. Was this a bad corn dog? No! If you like corn dogs, this one is very crispy and tasty. But it was not mind blowing. I will have to go back and try one of their other combinations to see what the hype is about.
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
"Dear Fox and Sons, I've contacted my realtor. I'll be moving to Philly soon. Expect to see me daily for my gluten free fried food fix. Many thanks. " But really... I haven't had fried food in ten months since my celiac diagnosis ... and I never thought I would really just WANT a corn dog, but when you can't eat fried food, it is really nice to have a dedicated spot. We also got some cheese curds which were equally delicious. I only wish I had room for some more of the treats. Thanks again. See you next time we're in town!
google avatar

Shuk C.

Yelp
We came here for a quick bite before catching the Macy's Light Show. This is a great place for snack at the Terminal Market. We loved the Fried Cheese Curd, it's lightly seasoned and the cheese is stringy and soft. We tried both the chili scallion corn dog and the Korean style corn dog. Both were really good but I like the Korean Style slightly better because the breading makes it crunchy vs the Chili one makes the corn dog soft after they put the chili on top. However the flavors of both are really good, and we were really satisfied with our quick snack.
google avatar

JJ D.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Fox & Son Fancy Corn Dogs is a fun and welcoming stand at Reading Terminal Market. Their menu is simple and easy to navigate! Service: Great service - ordering was a breeze, and our corn dog came out relatively quickly! Food: We ordered the Sweet Potato Battered Corn Dog topped with pork chorizo and cilantro lime sour cream. This was definitely a quality corn dog. We loved the unique sweet potato batter, and the flavors of the toppings perfectly complemented the rest of the corn dog! Overall: A very solid corn dog, though a bit on the pricier side. We enjoyed our experience at Fox & Son and loved how they elevated a simple dish. We'd definitely be interested in trying some of their other corn dogs if we're in the area!
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
If you've got food preferences or allergies but miss fried food...this is the place to go! I got everything gluten free AND vegan (a beyond meat corn dog and onion rings). This is the first time I've had onion rings since I went gluten free, and I can testify that they are the best onion rings I can ever remember having. I ate a few, but reheated a few at home in my air fryer and they were just as good. I DEVOURED the corn dog, and immediately wished I'd gotten another (but was too lazy to wait in line). This is the only really good fried food I've had (except my yeast donut at Okey Dokey donuts) since I went gluten free.
google avatar

Gloria E.

Yelp
While I had heard about this place a few years back, had no idea it was still open in Reading Terminal! They are the only certified Gluten Free restaurant in the market, with gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options for all. The breading on the corn dogs was a great texture and flavor, and it went well with the chili on top. The dogs come in long boxes with big sticks, making them easy to eat. The poutine was nice and packaged well, with flavorful curds and alright vegetarian gravy. The french fries themselves were also delicious, a bit smaller than your typical poutine fry though and could use a little extra salt. The worker recommended us a few things and made the ordering process really easy. With such a fast and bustling environment at Reading Terminal, it was nice to take my time ordering and try out a spot. Overall very fresh, made to order, and an easy food to grab and eat if you're looking for simple and laidback.
google avatar

Riya P.

Yelp
Saw vegetarian poutine on the menu and knew I had to try! Honestly paid a fair price for so much food! I had never tried poutine before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I ate was super tasty. The gravy tasted slightly tomato-y but complimented the fries very well. The cheese curds were a surprise, I fully expected them to be bits of potato. The fries were cooked to perfection and had a nice crisp to them. Overall a very filling and interesting meal. They also had a variety of other options like vegan corn dogs, funnel cakes, and more! 10/10 recommend, service was quick and efficient too with lovely workers!
google avatar

Lexi R.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered the sweet potato corn dog and the cheddar jalapeño one as well. While I enjoyed the sweet potato corn dog overall, I honestly couldn't taste the sweet potato LOL so I kind of just tasted like a really good corndog. The cheddar jalapeño was doused in melted cheese and was pretty good too though I wish the jalapeño flavor did stand out a little bit more. Their batter is really yummy here and the corn dogs have a nice crispiness on the surface.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
If you love cheese & corn dog, you definitely need to try their "Korean style mozzarella corn dog"! The only downside for this was they didn't have actual hot dog inside the corn dog, it was purely only mozzarella cheese inside the corn dog. But the skin was so crispy and we loved it! Perfect combination of crispy outside & soft inside! We will comeback to try their other corn dog that actually has hot dog inside.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
Located in reading terminal. They have all kinds of snacks to choose from. I had the chili cheese scallion top with spicy pork sausage. The sausage was not spicy and the coating was a bit falling off the sausage. Flavor was good just wish it was a bit more spicy, there was a lot of chili on top but can't get it on the corndog.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
5/5 Best corn dog I've ever had. I wish I could have tried all the offerings they had- definitely coming back the next time I'm in Philadelphia. A must visit/eat when coming to Reading Terminal Market.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Delicious! Love that they have turkey dogs for those of us who don't dig on swine or beef. My girls had the plain turkey corn dogs. My husband and I had the queso and jalapeño turkey corn dogs. The fried cheese curds were soooooooo good. We got them with the ranch seasoning and dipping sauce. We could've used a little more sauce. The fries were good. We are excited to return to try the Poutine with vegan gravy. The only issue we had was with ordering drinks and the quality of said drinks. That being said, it isn't a drink place. So, who cares? Excited to go back and try more things on the menu. Hit this place up if you're in Reading Terminal Market.
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
Reading terminal is such a joy to explore. My newest stop was Fox and Sons to try their vegetarian corn dog. The stall is pretty close to Iovine brothers, just one row over. I was splitting my meal with my husband so we got one beyond corn dog, one beyond jalapeno cheese corn dog, and a large order of fries. Everything came out super hot so we let it sit before we dug in. I tried the plain corn dog with mustard and it was delicious. The reason why I took one star off is because I think the beyond sausage is just not the perfect vegan dog. It's too sausagey when I want that hot dogy feel. The batter is amazing though!! Nice and crispy. I tried the jalapeno cheese one the way it came and had the same feeling about the beyond sausage being too sausagey. To the owners, I really appreciate that you offer a vegetarian option and it was so good! Please continue to offer something vegetarian but maybe something more hot dogish. The fries were crispy but just not my preferred style. I think when I come back, I would just get the standard beyond corn dog and skip a side. Glad this place exists!
google avatar

Tamika B.

Yelp
It's hard to find great fried cheese curds! This is the place! Second time trying out their fried cheese curds and it's definitely one of my favorites! It's freshly made and delicious. I ordered the regular cheese curds and ate it plain (and it's still great)! They also have other flavors! Delicious!!!!
google avatar

Penelope M.

Yelp
I have eaten here a handful of times and it's finally time to write a review. Everything I have eaten here has been hot, fresh and delicious every single time. Literally never had a bad experience! I also love that they have new foods in the rotation frequently, it keeps things exciting and gets me into the store a lot more often. I cannot have gluten and I eat here without any worry which is such a sense of relief.
