Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q Opens at Brookhaven Station for Brisket By the Pound, Brunswick Stew, and Frito Pie | Eater Atlanta

"Located in Brookhaven, I found Fox Brothers Barbecue’s Brookhaven Station embraces the Texas icehouse aesthetic the brothers grew up around in Fort Worth, with counter-service (almost cafeteria-style) ordering, a focus on outdoor seating in a 40-seat patio, and a dining room equipped with four large televisions for watching sports. The Brookhaven location features a meat counter where brisket, turkey, sausage, and pork ribs come sliced to order by the pound; meats are smoked on-site in three 1,000-gallon off-set smokers. The restaurant is noted as being open every day except Monday (listed hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 11 a.m. until sold out) and offers new takes on Fox Bros. side dishes such as sautéed green beans topped with fried shallots, white cheddar mac and broccoli salad with green goddess dressing, and brisket chili topped with crema, diced onions, and cheese." - Beth McKibben

Atlanta Barbecue Restaurant Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q Is Opening in Brookhaven at Brookhaven Station | Eater Atlanta

"Originally launched as a catering operation born from backyard barbecues in Fort Worth and Atlanta, the brothers opened a Candler Park restaurant 14 years ago serving Texas-style barbecue and signature dishes like Frito pie, hickory-smoked wings and the Tominator tater tots smothered in Brunswick stew. The operation has since expanded to include a walk-up window called the Que’Osk at Armour Yards and barbecue stalls at Mercedes‑Benz Stadium and Truist Park; after a year of counter service in Candler Park they reinstated table service (seating is still limited and masks are required when not seated). They confirmed plans to open a third full-service location next year in the former Hudson FC International Sports Pub space at Brookhaven Station on Peachtree Road, with a design inspired by Texas icehouses that emphasizes outdoor spaces, includes a pick-up window, and highlights the flavors the brothers grew up with. Earlier plans for a Bolton location were scrapped due to issues housing smokers on the premises." - Beth McKibben

First time at this location. Multiple visits to other locations. So this location is different than others. It is counter ordered and they have a reduced menu compared to the sit down locations. They have the core BBQ items but the sit down locations have some great apps and seems like more sides. The food here was great as expected. This was 1st time I had their ribs. I loved them. They don't need sauce, but it's good with it. I had half with and half with. The rub is very sweet. The sauce will smooth that out. Again I loved it. But those used to a salt and pepper rub it may be a little sweet. Mac and cheese was excellent Fries have a good seasonings Collards were good. Had the banana pudding. I loved it and so did my son. The texture was thin which my sister didn't prefer. If you are not sensitive to texture then definitely receive it. Personally I prefer the sit down locations because the apps are great. If you prefer counter serve not getting apps this may be a better location.

The ribs, customer service, & cleanliness were the saving grace items for this restaurant. We went here for my dad's 70th birthday. The staff did sing happy birthday (Stevie Wonder version) to my dad after we sung the original version. The food looked good, but the looks were misleading. The spicy and traditional sauces were vinegar based; they negatively altered the taste of the pulled pork & brisket. The meat was served cold to lukewarm. My wife told me not to get the mac-n-cheese because it looked visually unappealing; she was right because it tasted like it was store bought with American cheese. The collards greens tasted bland, but did have appropriate amounts of pork in them. The ribs were outstanding! They were soft and sweet, without any sauce. Do not try the fried ribs, it tasted like flour was caked onto them; they did not have any crunchiness or any semblance of being fried -- so please just stick to the ribs, brisket, & pulled pork sans any sauces.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical of just how good the BBQ would be here, as GA is not normally know for BBQ. I've been to TX many time specifically for Brisket, and I have to admit I was really impressed. First of all, given the choice of fatty or lean brisket......who is picking lean???? You should Always be going with fatty in my opinion. And they did an excellent job with their product. From the salt and pepper crust, to the fall apart chucks of juicy brisket. The jelapano sausage was amazing, lots of cheese and jelapanos for a decent heat level. The ribs we a fantastic flavor. Maybe not As fall off the bone as I would have liked, but I may just be being overly picky as I ate every bite and would 100% order the ribs from them again. Highly recommend this spot.

I came in for the combo with 3 meats but, this location didn’t have the option. I still decided to dine in! The service was excellent and the food was slamming like I remember my first time trying it! I will be back for sure! P.s. try the banana pudding

So, today I made this awesome decision to treat my team to a scrumptious lunch, and guess what? We all unanimously decided to go for BBQ! Oh man, let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic! We were a group of six, and we had so many options to choose from. Personally, I went for the smoked turkey, and it was it delicious! But you know what really took it to the next level? The spice sauce! It just added that perfect kick of flavor that I absolutely loved. Now, my team, they went all out and loaded themselves up with all these amazing side dishes. Of course, being the curious foodie that I am, I had to try them all, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Although, I have to admit, the green beans were a tad bit heavy on the salt. But hey, overall, it was a fantastic experience and we all had a great time together!

BBQ was great, brisket was tasty and most with that crisp edge, the sides were good, only thing is thought could've been better was the sausage, but overall good BBQ definitely worth checking out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fox Bros BBQ — My Forever Go-To! I’ve been to a few Fox Bros locations and let me tell you — they never disappoint. This was my first time at this specific location and it had a slightly different vibe, more cafeteria-style ordering, but the food still hit like always. The staff was incredibly kind and even gave me some advice for my recent wisdom tooth removal (real Southern hospitality, okay?!). This was my first real meal post-surgery and baybeeee… Fox Bros came through. Things you should NEVER skip: 1. FRIED RIBS. YOU HEAR ME?! (Get the extra pink sauce. You’re welcome.) 2. Banana pudding — One for here, two to-go. No questions. 3. Chili Mac — comfort in a bowl. Honestly, I’ve never had a single thing here I didn’t love. This is my go-to BBQ spot and the first place I bring people when they visit me in Atlanta. Fox Bros = consistent, flavorful, soul-hugging food. 10/10 every time. Special thanks to Darren & Jaqerrius for all their help!!

The place is easy to locate in the market. The place is medium size, but plenty of seats so no worries there. The restaurant is more of a “fast food” approach of going down the line instead of having a server, different from the one around midtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great, I recommend getting the fatty brisket and the half chicken. Overall, would recommend coming for a quick bbq.
