Fox Loves Taco Closes Taqueria and Coffee Shop by Brookland Metro - Eater DC
"Fox Loves Taco has closed after less than two years of business near the Brookland-CUA Metro station, depriving the neighborhood near Catholic University of a place to sample a variety of vegetarian fillings from the owners of the popular Little Red Fox market in Chevy Chase." - Gabe Hiatt
"This all-day taqueria from the founders of Chevy Chase cafe Little Red Fox features mostly vegetarian tacos (there is a pork-filled offering) laced with everything from smoked tofu and zesty cauliflower to poached eggs and pureed sweet potatoes. Java junkies can partake in free weekly coffee cuppings each Sunday." - Warren Rojas
Bicycles & craft coffee ❤️

Wham! poached egg blue corn soft taco 👍

I'm not a huge coffee drinker so I came here and tried their tumeric latte! So delicious! There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They also offer water cups for guests that are not single use plastic cups (which I appreciate SO much!). Very nice spot to chill with friends, drink coffee and other beverages, and sit and work away from home.

I got an iced coffee and 2 tacos. The Jerk and the Wham. Both were super delicious, but I personally prefer the Wham. Photo included. (PS The coffee came black. I added the creamer in the photo.)
As far as the atmosphere goes, the workers were friendly and helpful! Food was made quickly. I'll definitely return and recommend. It's a small space and it's not ideal for camping out to study.

I have nothing to say but oh.my.god. Freshly made tortillas. Vegetarian and vegan options galore. Super friendly staff. Adorable decor. Connected to a coffee shop and bike shop. Indoor and patio seating. Just, go.

Great spot for a light brunch/lunch, awesome coffee selection, and a plenty of options for vegetarians.

Solid low key hole in the wall looking joint in the updated Brookland metro area. Doubles with an attached bike shop. Taco options were solid and def above average. The coffee is really good. Price is reasonable. Love me some breakfast tacos so will come back at some point.

The tacos are excellent. They advertise as vegetarian but have had one meat option when I've been there. Fair warning, though: the avowed carnivore I went with said the pork one was good but admitted he liked the veggie ones he tried even better. Four stars instead of five because it's fairly pricey and because the lattes we got were a little weak and underwhelming.

Totally yummy. I only wanted 2...but the thried one was free for taco Tuesday!!
Had one with smoked tofu- outstanding!
One with pork mole- yes, will eat that again
One with poached eggs and black beans- everyday, as in I could eat one every day.
Coffee is also excellent.
