I really enjoyed this venue. The inside and outside are just stunning. The high ceilings and ornate decorations and architecture truly make any visit special. The sound in the room is fantastic, and the lower level provides an excellent space to dance. There are plenty of bars to get drinks, a kitchen for those who arrive early, and a bathroom with more than enough urinals (not sure if I want to go back to back but that's what's possible in this bathroom 😂). The drinks are reasonably priced for the US (after going to concerts in Europe I will forever hold a grudge). I would definitely make the schlep out here again. I highly recommend taking advantage of BART to get here! It's across the street and incredibly convenient.

This was my first time at the Fox Theater. I went there to see Machine Head and some supporting bands. I didn't realize how much history this place has. It's an amazing venue. Its setup is like one I've never seen before, and I've been to quite a few venues in my life. When you enter, of course, you go through security and the metal detectors. The bar is off to the side out of the way of entering the actual seats and floor. That's the great part. You don't have to fight through the crowd to get where you need to go. The bar staff was super fast. Inside, I was in the fifth row on the balcony, and they were awesome seats. The floor was down below for all the youngsters to mosh. I'm too old for that these days, or I'd be right down there with them. I can't say anything about parking because I stayed at a hotel a few blocks away, and they had private valet parking, and my walk was 9 minutes. I can imagine, though parking is a hassle as it's downtown Chinatown and everyone walks. I would definitely go back and please go and experience this venue. There's not a bad seat and the sound is off the charts.

Saw Harry Mack and the sound was amazing! Fox Theater is beautiful and the Telegraph Room was worth the additional admission fee. Great staff, excellent bar tender, chill atmosphere and I met some really cool ppl. Overall it was the most memorable concert I’ve ever been to and Harry Mack is the best freestyle rapper on the planet. Shout out to the DJ as well!

Google
One of my favourite music venues in the Bay Area, certainly the best of its size. Fantastic access to the standing areas, friendly and efficient staff, and wonderful sound. Fun to look at too. Drinks overpriced as most places, but the bars are well positioned. Finally, the men’s facilities are big, well organised and clean - a bonus when needed!

Beautiful inside and outside venue. Was here for Harry Mack concert. Drinks reasonably priced at $15, staff friendly at bar and security. Restrooms clean is a plus! Sound system good too!

Google
The theatre is gorgeous, staff is friendly. Upper balcony seating is comfortable and a perfect view of your sitting in the front row (I have no idea what the viewing experience is like in the rest of the theater. Decent drink menu variety that wasn't breaking my budget. They have food that they allow you to take back to your seats in the theatre, at least before the show started, which was convenient. The options were slim pickings... One of the best options was a Polish dog for $14 but there was literally a lady selling bacon wrapped hotdogs on the sidewalk right in front of the theater for half that price. Besides that they had "nachos" that didn't include any cheese and was only salsa and sour cream. They need to rename that chips n dip, that ain't nachos... I ended up getting a salami "sub" sandwich 🙄 it tasted okay and filled me up but for $13 I wish I could have gotten something with more pizzazz. I mean you're at the legendary Fox theater, you would think they'd have a more memorable menu ...

Google
Great place to watch concerts. The building itself is beautiful and historical. There is a public parking in the back with a fee. Across the street, there are places to eat. They have a vip room inside the theatre, and they sometimes have great concerts or shows to watch.

Honestly, is there a better venue in the Bay Area? This place is so beautiful even the delinquents won’t vandalize it because they recognize how amazing it is. I’m not sure the acoustics are the best but I absolutely love the Fox Theater. It is truly art deco at its best. I also know the neighborhood around the Fox isn’t the best so getting a ride might work better than parking nearby. Haven’t been here yet? Quit what you are doing and buy tickets to a show. And then tell me this isn’t the top venue in the area. Michael Delehanty Compass Real Estate

Yelp
WONDERFUL experience at the Fox Theater in Oakland, and it was my first time! My talented niece attends the Oakland School of the Arts so I attended their student program called, "Metamorphosis" in the spring of 2024. Excellent performance by the students. The theater was nice - seating was good, sound and stage lighting was professional, production overall was great. I would definitely visit this place again.

Yelp
Ah, the iconic Fox Theater! Over the years, I've witnessed a variety of performances here -- from the unforgettable to the average. Artists ranging from MIA, with her infamous three-hour delay and intoxicated state, to Young the Giant, delivering an epic show, to the recent comedic and poetic sensation, Alok. Despite the diverse array of performers, the Fox Theater maintains its timeless opulence and charm. From its intricate ceilings to the imposing golden statues adorning each corner of the stage, it leaves a lasting impression. Although, at times, the abundance of gold feels reminiscent of my sixth-grade Egyptian papier-mâché mask project. Reflecting on my recent visit to see Alok, I couldn't help but notice the excessive use of plastic cups for serving water. It's a small but significant issue that could be addressed to reduce waste, perhaps by offering reusable cups or encouraging the use of water fountains. On the bright side, despite the seemingly daunting line outside, entry to the venue is swift, and street parking is readily available. Like many establishments, the overall experience hinges on both the performer and the audience. Nonetheless, the Fox Theater stands as a captivating destination!

Yelp
I've been to the venue 3 times. Epik high 2022- epik high is here tour with woosung Epik high 2023- all time high tour Eric Nam 2023- house on a hill tour with Jamie miller Each experience is very different. I have waited in line for 5+ hours for each show to get a good spot in standing GA. I don't have experience watching a show from the balcony. Location: it's in a great location. It's across the street from bart. It's convenient for those who don't want to bring a car. Plenty of car garages are available on the street. Plenty of resturants to eat from if you wish to eat in line. There is a clean public restroom near steak n shake. Most people dont have a problem getting an uber/ lyft after a show if they dont want to go on BART. Yes, you always have to stay precautious in downtown Oakland. If there are fans waiting in line at the venue, it's okay to stay there. You might see your favorite kpop stars walking around before show starts. I personally saw eric nam on a scooter across the street and jamie miller getting lunch near the venue. The artist vans and tour busses are located in the back of the venue that gives privacy for artists before show starts. Management: very good at checking fans in early before show starts. A security guard will walk around 2 hours early before show starts with wristbands to check people tickets before going through security. Somrone will walk around to pick up trash throughout the day. However, they are picky with signs. It will be taken away if you don't hide the signs in your bag. They provide free water on the floor so the crowd dosent get a heat stroke. Acoustics: i like how the floor is split into 3 different sections so more people can see the stage and performers without being super close to the stage. The sound is great inside with really pretty interior. There's giant gold statues on each side of the stage and a decorated roof. Overall, I give this place a four star because of the management issues I've experienced with signs at concerts. Sometimes, there are issues with vip benefits depending on tour managememt. I definetly like this venue alot more than the warfield in sf. I wish more kpop acts performed there.

Yelp
Location is a win, being steps from the 19th St station. Getting into the event was super fast & easy. Acoustics were on point. The decor is ornate & gorgeous. We had general admission tickets & there was standing room near the upper bar areas that afforded a great view of the stage & even room to dance. We spent some of our time down in the pit. When you are 5ft 2 in a massive crowd, it's definitely a disadvantage but that's life. Never had to wait to grab a drink. They're pricey but strong. My only real complaint was that I kept having to show my QR code to use the restroom.

Yelp
Beautiful venue! Love the architecture and decor of this old theater. Most importantly, the acoustics are great! Went to see Maisie Peters here, and other than trying to find parking, it was a fun experience. The lines to enter and security check moved quickly, and it's very clean inside. The staff and bartenders are kind as well. I was seated in the Loge section, and the view of the stage was clear. It seems like you'd get a good view anywhere on the upper level. I also like how the seats are spaced out a lot so there's room between you and strangers to stand up and dance a little bit! I'm looking forward to seeing more shows at this venue in the future!

Yelp
Visited the Fox Theater this past Thursday to see Ben Folds in concert. It's a pretty nice venue, classic theatre exterior colorfully lit at night, and some interesting decor in the auditorium... buddha-like statues at each side of the stage with eyes that light up, a little bit creepy, a little bit cool. We sat in the orchestra rear in the high seats, and the view was decent. This was my first time seeing bar height stools (with backs) in a theatre as part of the general auditorium seating. But it was fine. No cupholders though, so be ready to hold your beverages (they offer wine, strong cocktails, and light snacks like chips). Sound quality was great, listening to the vocals and musical talents of the artists on stage, we had no issues from our seats in the lower level. The lighting was okay, nothing too special. Workers were efficient, got us into the event quickly, and served us our drinks without problems, so wait time was almost non-existent. Ben Folds was fun and amazing. We had a good experience at this venue, even found free parking right outside down the street (after 7pm on a weekday).

Yelp
Lucky enough to have seen two recent shows here at the Fox Theater. First tip - if you are driving, take the theater's tip and park at the Franklin Plaza Parking - two blocks away and just over $5 for parking with security personnel. The floor seats are pretty solid - the seating is somewhat terraced so it is possible to see the stage, even if you are back 15+ rows. The restoration of the Fox Theater is really nice - cool to look at pre-show. I scored 2nd row seats for the G3 Tour (Satriani, Vai, and Johnson) and got some tickets on the right side, about 15 rows back for Brian Setzer. Sound system was solid and lighting was just right. For a reserved floor set-up, there are lots of people around to help you to your seats. Not a ton of bathrooms so pick your times to go (don't wait until after a show or you'll be waiting a while).

Yelp
A great place to see a favorite performer or concert band. The sound is always good and the staff is super friendly. Great bars for before and after right next door and getting in and out is super easy, way better than larger venues where there are lines for everything. Definitely a must visit for more intimate concerts in a great venue.

Yelp
As I was wandering around trying to find the Fox Theater, I spotted women decked out in cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and shimmery dresses. That's when I knew I was at the correct location. This past Wednesday, Kelsea Ballerini performed at the Fox Theater in Oakland. It was my first concert at this theater, so I wasn't sure what to expect. After attending the concert, this theater and Kelsea's performance exceeded all of my expectations. It was a small, intimate setting, so I had a clear view of the singer without looking at the screen projector. Out of all the concerts I've ever attended, this is my favorite venue. If I had attended this concert at Chase, Oracle, or Levi's, I wouldn't have had such a close-up view of Kelsea. Even though professional cameras aren't allowed inside, I was able to capture some OK videos with my old point-and-shoot camera. For about $160 (including fees), I was able to buy a seat in the lower Mezz section. Tickets were much cheaper in the general seating area in the front, but I didn't want to arrive 6 hours early to wait in line. The venue allows unopened water bottles, tablets, small bags, point-and-shoot cameras, and a small snack. It's also a block away from the 19th Bart Station. I was worried about leaving the theater at 10:30 pm, but it was fairly safe since everybody left at the same time to go to BART or to the parking structure. I highly recommend attending a concert at this venue!

Yelp
For our wedding anniversary, my husband and I came down to see Teddy Swims perform at the Fox theater. We had general admission standing room floor tickets that were $65 apiece. We got there shortly after the doors open and managed to get awesome spots not far from the stage. The theater itself had a very timeless feel to it. It was very clean and I thought the layout was very efficient. There were plenty of bars to serve beverages and the bathrooms were clean and easy to find. All in all, we had a wonderful experience here, and Teddy Swims was absolutely phenomenal.

Yelp
Excellent venue for music. Nice acoustics, well laid out seating. The theater is is in great shape and looks stunning. It's a venue that I follow in hopes of finding an opportunity to attend a show.

Yelp
Place was awesome. Loved the set up. Saw the cannons here on their first tour and it was great! Downtown Oakland isn't my favorite place to drive around or look for parking but besides that I loved everything about the trip. The theater was nice and felt very lowkey and the security and bartenders were super chill and nice and the layout of the theater was very pleasant and I'd come back again!
google avatar

Marcos L.

Yelp
Great great spacious venue! I arrived late for general admission tickets and was still able to end the show closest to the stage Kind workers and security who care a lot about safety!

Yelp
I can't believe after living 30+ years in the Bay, I had never been to the Fox Theater, and this past Sunday I finally found out why it was so special. We came for the Goth Babe concert and the lines to get in went smooth n quick. Quick security check and we were in there. We had GA Floor seats, and for being a sold out show, it was packed but it didn't feel that way when in the crowd. We got spot in the middle, which provided good sound quality and I was very impressed with the lighting. Drinks are what you'd expect, concert pricing. A 16oz beer or white claw will run you around $11-12. The have like 6 different draft options for beer and only mango flavored claws (wish they had a little more variety here) The aesthetic of the Fox makes you feel like you got transported back through time, the detail, the history, it's really hard to love this place. Definitely look forward to going to see more shows here in the future.

Yelp
First time here & our experience was pleasant! The lounge area was cool to hang out before your show. They have a small menu of food and a full bar. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful with directions, etc. I was most impressed with how clean the bathrooms were! I'm pregnant & for obvious reasons made frequent bathroom trips. Each time there was a nice lady cleaning & restocking the facilities. Definitely a well kept space! The details of the building inside & out were so intricate and beautiful too.

Yelp
Living in the Bay for all my life I never heard or been to Fox Theater, and I go to a lot to concerts. Besides that, I went to see JVKE and it was honestly a really nice venue, and the concert was great too. I really enjoyed the security staff who were handing out bottles of water to the crowd in the standing section. I paid around 200 for two tickets, with taxes, they were first entry merch packages. I do recommend it, because it guaranteed us a spot close to the front and we got a tote bag, bracelet and stickers. I do believe that the ticket prices will vary depending on the artist, but just giving some inside on my ticket prices :) The only thing I do recommended is to get someone to drop and pick you up, if possible, the parking isn't the best...Although it's Oakland, so kinda figures. Overall, I would definitely come back to Fox Theater for a concert, because it's definitely a gem.
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
I really don't have any major complaints about the Fox other than the drinks could taste a smidge better but that's no biggie. It's nice that you can get a pretty good view of the artist from anywhere in the theater since the floor is staggered and everyone isn't on the same level. Don't bother driving there, that would just make you suffer. Catch a ride instead because parking in downtown Oakland is heinous and they bust windows out the car. Make sure you arrive plenty early to your show and you'll be able to get right up front!
google avatar

Anna V.

Yelp
Beautiful venue, superb sound, such an Oakland icon, one block away from the 19th St BART station, so legendary... This place has been my long time favorite venue, and every show here is an amazing experience! If you want to do a moderate splurge, I recommend adding the Telegraph Room to your ticket if available!
google avatar

paula c.

Yelp
My favorite venue to see a show!! Perfect size to feel like you're close enough that you don't need a screen to see the performers. The performers are top-notch- I've seen The Pixies, Willie Nelson & Family, Deathcab for Cutie and more. The well-informed and trained staff are a bonus (ushers, security, bartenders, coat check, etc.). I hate to share this secret but I've been helped by other Yelp reviews so much, so I'll do it...do yourself a favor and get the upgrade to the Telegraph Room with your ticket. It's such a great place for your concert pre-party, they serve delicious paella, have a no-host bar with no line, clean bathrooms, free coat check, and you get access to the un-crowded middle section of the theater (next to the sound booth, which means the best sound). Don't tell anyone I told you about it!
google avatar

Betsy R.

Yelp
Such a beautifully restored theater from the era when movie houses were a grand event. The level of detail and the ornate ceilings are incredible. Seats have cup holders and are pretty comfortable with a decent amount of space between rows for others to walk through. And the acoustics are awesome. Really enjoyed this venue and the location was perfect. We parked at the Franklin Street Garage for a $5 flat rate which is a 2 minute walk to the theater and we ate at a restaurant next door so it was very easy. Tip: make sure to avoid the seats in the first balcony behind the mezzanine due to obstructed views. I included a photo to show you what I mean. They are directly behind the railings of the entrance. And the first 3-4 seats behind the railings are literally at the top of the stairs so those people constantly have to get up to let others pass bc they are in the walking path so whoever sits in back of that will also be annoyed. They def shouldn't have put seats there or they should at least be discounted.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite venues to see a show. The theater is beautiful. To me, it's just the right size; not so big that it's hard to see the stage but not so small that there's no seating. As you age, you really appreciate having a seat :) This time I decided to treat myself and include the Telegraph Room. Very cool. It's a really cozy, comfortable space. All the staff are really nice and personable. The cocktail menu's excellent. I had one called The After Party which includes gin, vermouth and chartreuse - very yummy. The complementary paella from Duende was also delicious. Even though I had purchased a good ticket in the Loge area, I ended up watching the whole show in the Telegraph Room Viewing Area. It's a really nice space with an excellent view of the stage plus it's convenient if you want to get another cocktail or use the restroom in the Telegraph Room. I'll definitely opt to do the Telegraph Room the next time I see a show here. I feel it was worth the money ($60).

Yelp
I attended the Epik High concert at the Fox Theater in April 2023 and it was my first time visiting this venue. I did not purchase any beverages, so this is purely based on my experience at the venue and the staff's lack of customer service. It was a packed house and it was hard to really see anything from the general admission floor. It's an interestingly designed venue, but visuals cannot distract from the less-than-stellar sound quality that one would expect. I noticed some concert-goers smoking in the middle of the crowded floor. Also, please note that the staff does not allow re-entry back into the venue. The staff was not helpful in managing crowd control or providing directions to restrooms. When compared to my experiences at other concert venues and music festivals, it's hard to say that a concert at the Fox Theater was worth the time and money spent. In my experience, I'd say that a venue like The Warfield in San Francisco is a better and more welcoming venue. I even prefer music festivals like Outside Lands and Coachella over the Fox Theater. It's a shame that my concert experience was less than spectacular.

Yelp
Fox Theater, in my book, is THE most beautiful venue to see a live concert in- period. I'll never not be in awe here. Not to mention, the restrooms are large and clean, with first aide stations nearby. There are also convenient great lil theater bars that provide quick and quality service and drinks. The seats are comfortable, clean and come with drink holders. How fortunate the Bay Area is to have such an awesome venue like Fox Theater.
google avatar

Lin B.

Yelp
Really love this theatre- so gorgeous. Saw Van Morrison last week & loved how easy it was to park downtown Oakland ( Franklin St Garage) & meet friends for dinner (Parlour)-both a 5 min walk to the theatre. And parking cost $5.30!!

Yelp
Went to Cigarettes after Sex in the Fox it was my first time being in the Fox and it was a really great time My girlfriend is a big fan of this band and they were really good live and enjoyed it.

Yelp
One of my favorite venues. FUN FACT: I watched my favorite band of all time here for the first time when I was 14 *tears* This beautiful venue is small and intimate. It has traditional decor and historic architecture but with a modern feel. The Fox is walking distance from the 19th street Bart station. There are plenty of bars in the area for the pregame or post-game, whatever you're into. Whether you enjoy sitting in your own seat on a higher level or balcony or standing in GA, it's truly a beautiful experience; you'll get prime views and sound. I prefer standing in general admission, this is a chill venue (well the shows I've been to), and no one is shoving or pushing. I can happily dance and drink my cocktail. The lines can seem intimidating when arriving at a show but don't fret. This security is on a mission! I've never waited in line longer than 10 minutes or so. The bartenders also work quickly downstairs and there's rarely a line for the restrooms. We love Fox Theater!
google avatar

Yelp
Morrissey 2022 concert. Loved the venue. Very small and intimate. The general admission section was perfectly spaced and the distance to the stage was awesome. He acoustics of the show were great too. I can't write about the drinks nor food cause I didn't have any. Parking was easy because I pre-paid for a spot on ParkWhiz. Would love to see another artist here in the near future.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
First time coming to this venue to watch a concert and I'm glad we came! The venue is very intimate and I love how they have the bar area on the side of the theater before you enter the venue. The bar tenders were very nice and sweet when we ordered our drinks. Would definitely come back to watch a show here if I had the chance again.

Brent J.

Yelp
Too many weird security experiences here, and it doesn't help that security people don't take their jobs seriously. Bad scene.
google avatar

Yelp
I've seen two major shows at the Fox recently. LCD soundsystem and Modest Mouse One thing I can say after seeing both these shows is , I don't think the Fox is the best venue. Maybe the view from upper seating is better. But from the pit your can't see much, your looking up at the bands feet the entire time. The drinks are overpriced and made with the worst alcohol possible so before your band comes on your already feeling crappy. If you go, don't buy GA seating , get drunk on good booze before getting their becouse nobody wants to pay $20 for a watered down G&T

Yelp
Review #1798 My husband and I were blessed to have attended the concert of one of my favorite pop/electronica music groups' Rüfüs Du Sol here at the Fox Theater, on Halloween weekend. I have visited this venue for other shows in the past, and I always look forward to my visits here because for the most part this venue clean and organized. The ultimate best thing about this venue is that wherever you sit, you will get a good view of the stage. We sat on the mezzanine level just above the walkway and I enjoyed every minute of the show! The lights were amazing and the sound was bumpin'! Honestly, if you are planning to attend a future show here at The Fox, done fo spending a shiny penny to sit close to the stage, if anything sit a bit back so you can enjoy the show. It will be worth it! P.s. They are requiring every person attending, to show proof of vaccinations to enter the facility.
google avatar

Yelp
We're pretty lucky to have so many beautiful venues in the Bay Area. Fox Theatre falls into this category and is a delight to attend. First, let's talk about location. You can't beat being a block away from BART. Even though getting to Oakland from the west side of SF can be a bit of a haul, I love having the venue only steps away from the BART exit. As for the venue itself, I've equally enjoyed being on the floor and in the seats up above. On the former, the venue and floor size is just small enough that you can get a good view, even if you didn't get there early enough to be close up to the stage. Up in the seats, you get to take in the beauty of the theatre itself. And as a bonus, if you really want to splurge, they offer an add-on purchase to get access to the Telegraph room. If you go that route, you get a separate entrance, bar, restroom, and viewing area on the main floor. Not a must for every show, but something worth experiencing at least once.

Yelp
One of my favorite music venues for rock/pop music. It's a beautiful and spacious venue. Many venues feel cramped, but this feels wide open. Rock shows tend to be loud and this venue handles it fairly well. When I saw Modest Mouse here, it was a bit loud for the sound handling abilities of the space. I saw OMD here last night and the acoustics were very good. It helped that they don't play too loud. There are so many other things to like about this place. It was a hot day in Oakland yesterday but they have air-conditioning coming out of vents in the floor in front of the stage. How cool! They have 3(?) bars on the first floor (stage-level). There may be a few seats on the first floor, but almost all of it is standing room. There seems to be sufficient availability of restrooms. The decor is unusual and stands out in downtown Oakland. There are many parking garages in the area but there is quite a bit of free parking on the surrounding streets (if you want to take a chance with that). If you are hungry, stop in at Senor Sisig on Webster for some Filipino burritos.

This is already a great venue all around. Great location, great inside setup, helpful staff, close bathrooms - I've been here a ton of times and they are consistently great. Now that I've become a wheelchair user, I had to leave a review. Their accessibility accommodations are fantastic. I've had really wonderful and really, really awful accessibility experiences at different venues, so I never know what I'm going to get. My companion and I were so pleased by the staff at The Fox' training and support. They knew exactly what their procedures are for someone in a wheelchair, they were kind and courteous, AND they listened to my unique needs and brainstormed with me about how to meet them. Sometimes when a venue has an accessibility procedure, they aren't interested in engaging with patrons about meeting an individual's needs - they assume their procedures are one-size-fits-all. The Fox was so helpful with making sure my companion and I had an accessible place to sit and my wheelchair could be parked close to us - and they even came back and checked to make sure our needs were still being met. There are two venues to which I will not be returning because of how me and my wheelchair were treated, so a venue can really make or break whether I can trust them to provide access to their shows - I'll be back to The Fox many times, I'm so grateful for their attention to wheelchair users and ADA compliance!

Yelp
It's Thursday March 23, 2023 and we're here for the Alt-J concert. It's my first time entering Fox theater and I'm blown away by the amazing architecture. It's a true immersive and artistic theater. There's a full bar upstairs and even though it's pricy as expected, the bartender was really sweet and she gave good recommendations. We got some beers that were cold and delightful! The most surprising part was how super clean the restrooms are, absolutely spotless throughout the entire duration of the whole concert. There's a bathroom attendant that keeps everything immaculate and it's the cleanest bathroom I've ever used in the Bay Area. Like wow. Can't wait to come back to this theater!

Yelp
What a fun concert! Special shout-out to the light technician and sound person for this show, the lights were especially well-done. We saw Caravan Palace and they truly put on a great show!! I appreciate how responsive Fox Theater was over email when I messaged with a question about booster status to meet their vaccination requirements. I also appreciated that they checked vaccination cards before tickets at the door. One star off because they sell drinks, so people just hold their drink the whole time to keep their mask off, so the mask "requirement" became unenforceable. Restrooms were clean and easily accessible and the experience was great. I particularly love the special air-vented floors that keeps it cool and airflow constant.

Yelp
What a cool venue! There isn't a bad seat in the house. Also - major props to the lady cleaning the bathrooms. She rushed into each stall after someone finished, making sure it was clean and fresh for the next person. I was impressed enough to give her a nice tip.

Yelp
Zero stars wasn't an option for this place. Ed Sheeran show. Wife ordered a polish dog. A freaking fancy hot dog. And it took 30 minutes to get. 30. Minutes. Screw this place.

Yelp
What a magnificent work of art venue. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it. Utterly amazingly stunning. Great sound as well, and many wonderful shows to choose from to suit all tastes. Fantastic staff for everything, custodial, security, box office, several bars, personalized staff for disabled guests, ...you name it, the Fox has it in hand. Take for example, Gary, in management, who is so committed and dedicated to the smoothly operational functions of the theater. You can tell that he really has such a high standard, and a keen sense of excellence in the maintaining of every aspect of this theater. One must honor and respect such a single minded sense of purpose and such strong work values. Choose a show, then, and give yourself a special night out at the Fox.

Yelp
The medics here are great I was having a huge panic attack and they helped me right away and got me water and sat me down and talked to me.

Yelp
Great parking, I parked right down the street for free. The bathrooms were really clean. I went to see tash sultana. She sounded great. The area was big . I went in the floor seating because I'd rather be close to the artist and in the crowd dancing then just sitting in a seat the whole time. I like the sculptures and artwork on the walls. The staff was great, they were really cool about telling me not to cut in line. I mean no one was in line so I figured no biggie but I get it there's procedures.

Yelp
Probably the best venue I've ever been to. I've been here twice- for Clairo and Omar Apollo & I love it here for these reasons: I passed out at Clairo due to dehydration and was treated by 2 EMTs who were so friendly and professional. They kindly took care of me, giving me food and water, and I was given free seats so I wouldn't have to return to the floor once I had recovered. (Not saying this is guaranteed- just my experience) MULTIPLE BATHROOMS WITH MULTIPLE STALLS!!! FREE!!! WATER!!! BOTTLES!!! It's a smaller venue with a pretty aesthetic and great performers. Parking is also not bad in the surrounding area, which I find is rare for venues. If an artist you like is performing here, get tickets!!

Yelp
Fox Theater cherry *popped!* Attended my first concert here and it was awesome! We arrived exactly when the show started so the line wasn't too bad. Security check was quick and friendly. Upon entering, we made our way upstairs to coat check, $3 per item *cashless. There's a bar upstairs as well as downstairs. Inside floor level was very spacious. Although we got front rows, nto sure how they regulate that, we were pretty content standing in the back. This allowed me to enjoy the full view of the stage, artists, loud music from afar, and appreciate the wooden carvings surrounding the stage. Overall, very pleased with my experience.

Yelp
What an amazing venue. It's easy to forget the difference a venue can make for a musical performance when you're used to cookie cutter stadiums and clubs. The architecture, the ambiance, the soul of that place, it made a huge difference. Blessed to see Ludovico Einaudi play a solo performance in the Fox Theater. I could feel the music rise into that ornate ceiling and fill the space. Ludovico played exquisitely and the space amplified that exponentially. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Where do I begin? Getting in was orderly and smooth. No hassles. It's a beautiful theater that must be seen and enjoyed. Great acoustics too! Echo and the Bunnymen rocked the house! Bathrooms: clean Parking: ez on the street, if you go 90 minutes early.

Yelp
The art deco architecture is absolutely stunning and the facilities are very well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. Even in the nosebleed seats in the balcony, I had a great view of the stage.

Yelp
Beautiful venue for live shows and conveniently close to 19th St BART. Couple of points make me reluctant to come back, though. First, the box office inexplicably adds $5 to posted ticket prices. Of course that's better than the $20+ that Ticketmaster will hit you for online, but it's annoying that tickets can't be purchased at face value. Seems deceptive. Second, they don't take cash. Not at the Box office and not at the bar. Maybe at the $3 coat check or for the $1 earplugs, but I don't know--I didn't partake. In any case, cashless establishments discriminate against the unbanked. And refusing legal tender should be illegal to begin with. In this regard, it'd be nice if the Fox showed more respect for its customers' privacy.
