14 Things to See and Do in Detroit (Updated 2025)

"I try to catch a performance at the Fox Theatre when possible — the largest surviving movie palace of the 1920s with over 5,000 seats and a National Historic Landmark building — and if I can’t make a show I stop by in the evening to see it lit up because it looks gorgeous." - Matthew Kepnes

Review of the Fox Theatre – Downtown Detroit The Fox Theatre is always a stunning place to spend an evening. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—historic, elegant, and full of character. The crowd was wonderfully diverse, with all ages represented and everything from jeans to full formalwear, which gave the night a very open, inclusive, and hip energy. The performance overall was great, and most of the sound throughout the show was solid. However, the acoustics were unexpectedly off during a few songs, which was surprising for a venue of this quality. Aside from those moments, the sound was good and the experience was well worth it. A lovely landmark and a great place to enjoy live entertainment in the heart of Detroit. Would definitely return.

Wife and I saw the red clay Strays there last week. I've seen about 200 + concerts in my life. In venues across a dozen states and I have to say this is the best concert venue I've ever been to. Absolutely amazing, 5 stars, we highly recommend it.

Google
Such a beautiful venue and classic building.... if youre ever available to go to a show there I highly recommend it. Christmas time or anytime.

Google
Glad my father dragged me here to see this relic. The ornate architecture and sculptures alone are worth going for. I am glad the city put so much time and effort into preserving this and is still doing work.

Google
Always a great experience no matter what show we are there to see. Staff and ushers very professional and friendly. The building is amazing.

Google
Have seen multiple shows here and always love the venue... easy to get to, beautiful renovations, simply iconic theater.

It's her first time to the fox theater, and we couldn't believe the breathtaking beauty of this concert. All of the personnel, every single person that we ran into that was there, volunteering are working where all absolutely amazing!+

Google
One of the coolest theatres you'll ever go to. Amazing sound and sightlines from anywhere in the venue. We just saw Earth, Wind & Fire there on the weekend and it was awesome! I hope to be back for another show soon. 10/10.

Yelp
Wow, the Fox Theatre is a true Detroit gem! We attended the Jim Gaffigan show and had a marvelous time. From the second you enter the building you are transported back to another time, the facade is so ornate! The ushers are super friendly and you can get concessions for market prices. The seating is a little cramped but that is to be expected, but the seats were comfortable. And that evening the city was buzzing with excitement so it was nice to get out and see the city in its new glory. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
I've been to the Fox many times before but this trip was especially special! My grandson loves Grinchy, as he calls him, so I took him to see the Grinch musical. He loved all of it. I'll never forget his smiles watching the show.

Yelp
We had such an amazing time today. We really got into the Christmas spirit . The atmosphere was so great !! We saw cirque du soleil

Yelp
The Fox Theatre is one of the gems of Detroit. From the amazing neon facade to the extravagant interior, The Fox is the crown jewel of remaining movie palaces not just in Detroit, but across the entire country. I could spend an hour in this building just exploring the details around every corner, on every inch of the interior. I absolutely love attending shows here. The acoustics are wonderful. The sightlines are great. There's really nothing to complain about if you consider it's almost 100 years old and won't have some amenities that a new facility would have. A visit to the Fox is like travelling back in time. It's a truly magical place.

Yelp
Security guard near our seats pulled my daughter's 12 year old friend that was with us out of the dark theatre by herself without having her get an adult , I finally saw what was going on and went out to lobby to see what the deal was , this guard has my daughter's 12 year old friend opening her phone so he could see her pics and videos , come to find out he was accusing her of recording the musical which was the Grinch. . this was something different I did for my family and I let them take a friend to see the show and to be honest after that encounter with this security guard there and the way he pulled her out and didnt even ask her to get an adult she was with had me very angry , he had a responsibility to notify an adult and his excuse was it was dark in there he couldn't tell she was a kid .....well buddy you had her in a well lit lobby after you pulled her out and demanded to go through her phone like you were the FBI .....I doubt I will return to the FOX if this is the way we're treated as customers

Yelp
Another place that I can't believe I have never reviewed before given the countless times I have come to shows and events at Fox Theatre! I love this place. It is so epic and historic and is one of the jewels of Detroit. Located directly on Woodward, right at the edge of the downtown district bordering the highway and directly across Woodward from Comerica Park, the Fox Theatre stands next to the Fillmore as the two historic buildings that house a ton of shows, concerts, and other events. I've been to Fox Theater to see musical artists, stand up comedians, live shows, plays, and so much more! It's such a beautiful venue and so well maintained given how long it has been around. Truly everything about the Fox Theater is wonderful. I actually love being on the mezzanine as my personal favorite and best view because then you get to check out a higher floor and go up the fancy staircase in the middle of the lobby at Fox Theater and also have a wonderful view of the stage from there! There are bars and food vendors located at every level throughout the theater and the kind often just depends on the kind of show you're attending here. All in all, you haven't gotten the full Detroit experience until you've attended an event at Fox Theatre! Whatever you see here, just know it's going to be a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Astounded every time I step into the Fox. It is simply a beautiful theatre and a nod to old world craftsmanship Only wish there were more events hosted there and really wish they bring back playing some movies here on occasion.

Yelp
The Fox Theatre is a pretty cool venue in Downtown Detroit. It is right next to the Fillmore and close by Comerica Park and Ford Field. There is quite a few parking lot options within a short walk though I do recommend booking parking ahead of time on ParkWhiz or SpotHero. I have grown up going to Fox Theatre for shows and it's a cool venue but it's not my preference of venues in the area. This recent event I attended was for a comedy show and lobby doors opened at 6, theatre doors at 6:30, and the show was scheduled to start at 7:30. It was seriously chaotic in there! We arrived at 7 and the lobby was absolutely jam packed, it was hard to move! They had security/ushers checking everyone's ticket (at multiple different checkpoints), one by one. I am all for safety first but it felt like overkill especially with time ticking down to the show starting and people continuously packing in. The show started about 15-20 minutes past 7:30 which was fine but it just seemed like the whole process could have been way more efficient. The theatre is really beautiful and ornate. Definitely worth taking a step out from under the balcony and looking up at the ceiling. There is usually pretty good acoustics/sound in this building as well. Another thing that was a little strange was the security guards walking up and down the aisles the entirety of the show, at some points stopping in the aisle and blocking people's view of the stage. Not sure what was going on there. Luckily, it was easy to exit and the end of the sold out show with side doors opened up!

Yelp
We attended the Al Green concert with 80 Seniors from ten different Villages. Parking is not so good and the prices are extremely high to park, it was very busy that night with a game going on at Ford Field. Police everywhere and certain streets blocked off, making it more difficult for dropping off our seniors, Police were not a big help, they just wanted traffic to keep moving, no consideration that we had seniors with walkers and the fact that is was very cold that night. The ushers and staff at the Fox were very helpful and nice. We will return but will also verify that no other games are going on as well.

Yelp
Had tickets here recently to see Riverdance. It was my first time at this venue, and overall I really enjoyed it! We came over from Grand Rapids, and don't visit Detroit often, so I was a little nervous on where to park. Fortunately, a few days before the event we received an email from the venue on where to park, and some pre-pay parking options. There is a lot on the street to the side of the theater that was very easy in and out! I'm glad we pre-booked since the weather was terrible and we were running late. Since we knew where we were parking we were able to go right there without having to drive around looking for a lot. It definitely saved time! When we walked into the theater we were blown away by how ornate it is! So much detail, and a really nice, historic feel. The main room is large, and has a large staircase up to seating, restrooms, and concessions. We didn't have time to stop anywhere for lunch, but were pleasantly surprised that they had food available. My husband had a hot dog and I had a personal pizza. It was plenty of food to hold us over for the show! They also had a pretty full bar set up. I had a beer and my husband had a whiskey cocktail. They were a little pricey, but not higher than expected. The inside of the theater is just as incredible as the lobby area! So much detail to look at! Our seats were pretty high up in the upper balcony, but we could still see the stage quite clearly (thank goodness there wasn't anyone super tall in front of us!) The seats were comfortable enough, but there is certainly not a lot of leg room, and there are no cup holders for beverages. There was some confusion at intermission as there wasn't an announcement of whether it was an intermission or if the show was over, but we figured it out. The lines to the restrooms were LONG. There are a decent number of stalls, but only 2 sinks, so there is a line to wash your hands as well as a line to get into the restroom. At least that's how it was in the ladies room. So if there is an intermission try to get in line early! They were clean, at least. It might not be the same for every show, but there was only one small merchandise section located in the front lobby. So everyone after the show who wanted to look at or buy any merch had to wait in a long, kind of confusing line. It worked out, but felt a little haphazard. Other than that the experience was wonderful! I will definitely consider going to another event at the Fox!

Yelp
We tried to enter and one of the 4 of us exceeded purse size by an inch and a half. We could walk back to the car or use purse check. We chose the latter. Then we entered the theater. The line for spirits was separate from beer and wine. That was not apparent until we were at the head of the line. Prices were ridiculous, $5 Dasani water that was not cold? Line for restroom was stupid. Men's rooms should be coverted during chick shows like this, Legally Blonde. The show was awesome. Ushers were not super busy and hovered right next to us, so we had them snap a photo. Exiting was easy.

Yelp
Love the Fox Theatre, beautifully restored in the 80's it is one of Detroits jewels. Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent from Ted Lasso) was the comedian on stage and he had the crowd in his hands from the beginning to the end Special thanks to the volunteer ushers. Peg seated us and refused our tip. Chatting with them, they informed us the theatre was replacing ALL on the seating in August... can't wait to see the new look.

Yelp
The theater is gorgeous and the staff is super helpful! The architecture alone had such a historic impact! The only reason I've deducted a star is the habit of staff, both male and female, to congregate in the ladies room atrium for staff meetings. It's more than a bit off-putting to go to the toilet and see that many men and a few scattered women when I'll be the single person peeing. I worked an event at this location and aside from this repetitive habit, everything else has been a dream. To clad, this would be creepy in either bathroom. There's clear communication, expectations, and follow up. The staff is also partially the same as it was last year did it was nice seeing and catching up with everyone. I hope I'll get to see them next year too

Yelp
Beautiful theater located in downtown Detroit. The pictures do not do it justice! We came here for a comedy show and we're impressed with the level of detail in this historic building. If you have a chance to check out this theater for a show, I highly recommend it! It's so gorgeous!

Yelp
This is the premier event venue in Detroit. Built in the time of wealth in the city you can quickly see upon entering the ode to opulence that once made Detroit the "Paris of the Midwest" this fabulous venue has been tastefully restored and maintained and ushers still guide you to your seats harkening back to the days when showing out for the show was as important as the show itself. All I can say is if you've never been it's a magnificent building you won't ever forget

Yelp
We love shows at the Fox Theatre Detroit. It is located in the heart of Detroit on Woodward across from Comerica Park & Ford Field. The decor in the fox is ornate, beautiful, & historic. It's hard to focus on the shows sitting in such a gorgeous venue. Get a ticket and check it out!

Yelp
Very kind and helpful ushers when my child fell ill during a show. Beautiful architecture as always and they keep people traffic moving through the entrance pretty quickly.

Yelp
Fox theatre is beautiful. It is very artistic. It seems clean. Everything was well but their sound system can use an upgrade. I saw Jill Scott perform march 30. She was/is amazing but i feel like they need better surround sound or more speakers. Or the audio engineer needs to do a better job lol. They didn't sell food and I wasn't happy about that.

Yelp
If you're handicapped or older, this isn't the place for you. They have ONE handicapped accessible restroom that had two stalls. We waited in line for 20 plus minutes AFTER THE SHOW to use the bathroom. I'm 62 and was on a walker. The red jacket workers were so busy forcing people out the door say they could go home, till they were off no use to us at all. They each had walkie talkies with volume maxed out, while their "boss" kept screaming that they had to get us out of there so they could go home. I spent $100 for my ticket and I feel like I was not welcomed. Had I been welcome, there would have been another bathroom, so that I wouldn't have stood in the line so long I wet myself. Then after being rushed off the door, I stood outside where it was 23 degrees in wet pants wall waiting on my ride. I wanted to speak with management. But I didn't want to go to jail because I was (and still am) LIVID and I know I would have showed my entire ass. I've never I'm my life been more humiliated OR disrespected. I'm think long and hard before The Fox EVER gets another penny of my money. Oh and don't think I won't report this to the ADA. THE FOX THEATRE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST HANDICAPPED PEOPLE!!

Yelp
I saw lauryn hill here in 1999 but haven't went back because I live 600 miles north of Detroit but would love to go back to see just about any show

Yelp
I had to rate this place on two levels: 1. This is a beautiful building. It has all of the opulence of those old fashioned theaters with all the bronze faces on the walls. The outdoor neon lights are attractive and hypnotic and put you in the mood for a night on the town 2. This is an old place and really doesn't have the space to accommodate large groups of people. I was very irritated at how I was bumped into constantly. If The Who ever played here it could lead to danger (obscure historical reference). Buuut....in the end it was a great show. They have jumbo Trons that allow you to see the action on the stage. In the end I decided to reward its virtues rather than penalize for its vices.

Yelp
This theatre is like taking a step back in time, it's absolutely beautiful. I could've spent hours just walking around looking at everything. Seats are very comfortable, bathrooms super clean. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This review is for a concert. The building is pretty much the same as any other theatre building. Don't flame me, I'm not a Detroit native. Fox Theatre may have some history, but I don't know. I've been a Blondie fan since 1978. There is very little else I can say other than this concert was AWESOME!!! My camera isn't the best but I'll post what i managed to take. They started with X Offender and ended the show (before the encores) with Heart of Glass. The fact that Debbie can still hit some of these notes is amazing. Nothing beats a live performance. I could feel every note, and my boy Clem pounded out every note on the drums with aplomb. He was my inspiration to pick up a set of drumsticks in 1979. Best show I've been to!!

Yelp
Been to this theater many times and we have NEVER HAD THIS EXPERIENCE! We were there December 29 to see John Oliver, an adult stand up comedian, very liberal in politics and well known to not be afraid to share a few spicy words. We were sitting in the balcony and in front of us was a couple in their 30's who brought their, we later learned, was their 3 1/2 yr old son. My husband and I both looked at each other in shock like who would bring a child to an event like this. They then went and pulled out an iPad and headphones and put on a kids movie to occupy him, which was still pretty distracting to us. The warm up comedian was on and he was also quite spicy. After about ten minutes the kid started to get antsy and the parents were talking to him and each other in regular volume not whispers. After a minute my husband wanted to go get an usher but I said I would just ask them to speak quietly. So I did and the husband turned around and in a very defiant tone grunted "FINE" Fast forward 15 minutes and many drinks of water and several disruptive outbursts from the child the father takes the child out and the mother takes her stuff and they leave. We both think they have left and think we can now enjoy the rest of the show. 10 minutes later they return, the kid gets put on the mother's lap. I thought he might fall asleep so we kept our fingers crossed. Not 5 minutes later he starts screaming. My husband, frustrated says"c'mon man". The man takes exception to this. A minor back and forth happens my husband gets the usher. By the time he returns the wife has taken the child and left, the husband is still sitting there, I assume he is figuring out what he is going to say to us and then he gets up, turns around and loudly "I hope you both die!" Everyone around us is shocked, we think he's going to throw a punch, I told him to grow the ***k up before he stormed out. We spoke with ushers after the show and they told us to call the theater. Tuesday morning my husband called the theater and left a message bc he could other security on the phone and they gave him voicemail. VERY DISAPPOINTED NO RESPONSE! How does any theater allow a 3 year old into an adult performance at night? When you get a complaint, why did they have to get a supervisor? We have been seeing shows at the FOX forever and NO RETURN CALL? UNACCEPTABLE!

Yelp
Date night for New Years Eve concert with Charlie Wilson, Tank and Ro james was Awsome great seats, good ushers. only thing that dulled the event was the weed smokers and cigar smokers. paid to much money for a night with my beautiful lady to have to endure that mess

Yelp
Great night out at the beautiful historical iconic gem on Woodward. This place had been a part of my entire life. It's always a thrill to go here. On this night I saw Dave Mason and The Marshall Tucker Band. Being a fan of the band Traffic I had to see Dave Mason. He was fantastic and didn't let me know playing several Traffic classics. Marshall Tucker Band was entertaining. I sat main floor the seat are comfortable for a tall guy like me. The sound was great. The ushers super cool and friendly. The theatre itself was majestic as always. Never get tired of walking around and taking in the history. The rest room was clean. Just a great night out.

Yelp
Stunning, gorgeous and a true Detroit must see! Nice and polite staff. Love when shows are here as we always enjoy ourselves.

Yelp
I went here to see the 70s soul jam. The parking is convenient when you pay ahead. It was located directly across the street. It was easy to enter. We only had to scan the tickets on the phone. Staff were very helpful with finding our seats. This place has some great architecture. Its a gem. The acoustics were great. No complaints there. Buying liquor is always expensive at these venues. It goes with the territory. Overall great venue, great concert. It was good to get to the Fox again.

Yelp
Nice clean and beautiful my son had a performance here and then we watched a show recommend coming here for dinner one night

Yelp
I went down to the beautiful Fox Theatre for a wonderful production of Annie. It was during the matinee that I had my tickets. As I said, the production was magnificent, but I think the Fox staff has a little housekeeping to do. 1) In the ladies room I was singing to myself THE SUN WILL COME UP TOMORROW, but the there was hardly any lighting in the bathroom stalls. Kind of had to guess where you were sitting in the stall. Come on guys, do we have to bring our own flashlights. 2. The continual seating of people thru the first half of the show was so totally annoying. Have the old rules of audience went out the windows? I was blocked by so many people getting seated by ushers I probably missed half of the first 4 songs. Really? Can't we get this seating down properly. 3. Does the snack bar have to run 24/7? The audience also got up continually to get a snack bar favorite. Fox you are probably making more off the snack bar than the show. So, will I go again to the Fox? Probably. And if I can, I'll bring a flashlight

Yelp
My experience at the Fox was a first time experience. Me and my husband went to the Tour experience with KEM, we arrive about 45 min early to avoid traffic. the traffic was heavy and parking was zero to 60 dollars which was ridiculous for parking. we then got in line and stood in line for an hour, the staff was not letting people inside, (they were very disorganize) and were not letting people in. we miss the first two acts and we finally got in with the end of the comedian which was good (calming the madness) and then Kem, in which the sound was exquisite. This experience should have never went this way with your staff. I am also disappointed with the lack of staff and the direction control . Please redirect your staff in the ability in having crowd control. Disappointed customer

Yelp
Visited for a concert. Beautiful architecture and decor. Accessible. Sensory kits with noise canceling headphones and fidget devices available. They had a large stash of earplugs at the information desk. Overall we had a fun night.

Yelp
Everyone should experience a show in this historic theater...period. It's just such a gem. We have been multiple times and look forward to the next visit. My one wish is that they could find some way to have more comfortable seats. But I'm sure they wrangle with that, and all kinds of historic preservation issues. Such great shows book here, it's always fun to see who's coming. There's great snack and beverage vendors to round out the evening. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Best venue to See Jeff Dunham, Clean great attendants. The food was reasonably priced.

Yelp
This historic building is breathtaking. It is a very intimate venue for any type of show our concert I highly recommend.

Yelp
Fox Theatre has always been beautiful and Carrie's so many great memories for me whether it's concerts, shows, or plays. Love the popcorn and atmosphere every time I go there, it never disappoints. It does lose a star because the staff could use a crash course on customer service. I get that they have to manage large crowds but they can do it without being rude or saying sarcastic remarks. At the Demi concert last night we just got out of the line after paying $11 for our alcoholic beverages and we're waiting for two staff members to walk between the crowded merch area and food stands before we were going to head into the concert area but they took it upon themselves to yell at us and say we can buy merch all night and it's not going anywhere. Super annoying because we weren't waiting for merch we were waiting for them and honestly, no one wants to miss the concert that they paid to see when they can do it then. Maybe if they were nicer about it I would understand but they weren't so my understanding for their situation goes out the window.

Donna B.

Yelp
I was very upset my boyfriend and I was in the Balcony section way up top seats 111 P and when the show started for Katt Williams all we could hear is Mumble jumbo, it was awful!! For the price you pay, I believe everyone that is there should be able to hear it! As they do on the floor seatings
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
I can't believe I've lived near Detroit most of my adult life and hadn't been here! Whatever event you are attending, I recommend going an hour early just to walk around and see everything. It's beautiful!

Yelp
I was so happy the concert we went to see was here. The last time I was here was about 15 years ago when I've seen Nickelback. I was seated on the 2nd floor That time. This time I seen Ludacris Nelly and Trina and we had pretty much front row seats... I mean the concert was amazing but 1st let me tell you about the architecture of this Historic architectural masterpace. (I'll attach some photos I took) If you look around this place there's not at inch of this building that doesn't have intricate detail and and intricate designs throughout. I almost felt like i should not of been enjoying a rap concert in such a pretty place, and it should of been Andrea butchelli there or something lol. I never thought of looking for concerts based off of what establishment they're held at but I am from now on.. No matter what seat you have in the house here you're gonna have a great view, you're gonna be close enough to see the stage and feel like you're a part of the performance. I would it took the 2nd floor even! Although... don't get me wrong front row seats are great :) I'm just saying any seat in this place is amazing... Cocktails are a little pricey but it's to be expected, we paid 16 bucks and split a drink and it was a double. Oh and they also had those cinnamon roasted almonds which of course they had them baking right when you walk in which is like when you smell that cooking you almost are obligated to purchase them and eat them lol... And that's exactly what I did. The sound system in this place is immaculate and crisp. The the employees are so friendly there was a really older gentleman with his little flashlight guiding us to our seats in a crowd of rap loving crazies lol... And then there was a gentleman who had to be 7' tall who I looked up to and asked him where the restrooms were and as he towered over me he was nice enough to direct me and guide me exactly where they were. There was police presence known inside and out which made it feel super secure and safe!!! If you're coming in from out of town or a local of Detroit and already know of this place or don't be sure to check it out!!! I will put my name and my stamp up approval AND give it 5 stars. This is a TRULY a gem in Detroit. Such a terrific experience.

Yelp
I mean what can I say, I love the Fox. It is beautiful, I love seeing anything and everything here. It truly is a gem in the city of Detroit. My most recent visit was a night with the Clinton's. My daughter and I have been a couple of times in recent months, 2 Cello's, The Nutcracker, and we were admiring the details in the ceiling and debating the material used for the tassels. I thought they might actually be fabric and she was thinking they were carved from plaster. We were both wrong. The usher explained it was carved wood. She told us that when the theatre was originally built it cost about $12 million to build in the 1920's and when it was restored in it cost over $40 million. I did not fact check her but it was clear that she loves the Fox very much. It is a true piece of grand history.

Yelp
Bought tickets. Found out family is unable to attend. Tried to cancel less than 17 hours later and can't!

Yelp
Gorgeous in person. Not crazy about the bathroom situation, you have to go down in the basement. Had my 82 yr old mother with me, and was praying she didn't have to use the restroom while at the show. Thankfully she didn't, so it worked out well. Found out there are a set of handicap restrooms on the first floor, but the were on the opposite of the venue, which still would've been quite a walk for my mom. Too bad they don't have a set on either side.

Yelp
Fox Theatre is one of those venues where words like splendor, grandeur, and majestic are completely applicable and not an exaggeration. I was recently reminded of this fact while attending Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical. Once we passed through security, we were treated to Christmas carols by young voices, lined up on the grand staircase. The ornate lobby, flanked by large columns topped with golden motifs, was decorated with wreaths for the holidays. It is spacious but as it filled up with theatre-goers, became crowded and a bit hot. The staircase itself was guarded by carved lions and other beasts adding to the overall opulence. The show itself followed the book and 60s cartoon faithfully. The set design retains the bold and simple illustrations of the children's book. However, what really made the musical was how the main character was able to draw empathy for its' character from the audience. In all, it is a great venue for musicals (I already have tickets for 2018 performances), as well as private parties. For the latter, you get to roam the public parts of the theater unrestricted.

Yelp
We attended Hassan Minhaj's event in September 2021. The ticket clearly said, doors open at 7 pm. We showed up at 7 Pm sharp. The line was very long to get in, which is usual at these events. What's unusual is that by the time we got to our seats not only had the opening act finished, but Hasan was already approximately 10 minutes into his act, around 8:15 pm. This is unacceptable. We were not instructed to arrive earlier than 7 Pm. They were not performing covid tests at the door, or anything else that should have slowed down the line. We were certainly far from the last people to get to our seats in the theatre. So far, the fox theatre and the seller (ticket master) have refused to accept responsibility of any kind for this costly mistake. If that changes, I'm open to modifying this review.

Yelp
The foxx theater is nice and very well maintained. They even have an elevator operator. I've never seen one in my life until I came here. (Side note: the elevators are basically hidden on the first floor. There's no sign or direction to tell you where they are. So if you're seated on the 3rd floor, the elevators are between the pillars to the right when you enter the building). The food prices were affordable. The seats were comfy. The one thing I did not like was how there's one stage BUT no side screens. Usually theaters have a gigantic screen on each side of the stage so that everybody that didn't get front row seats can see the person on stage too. Nope, not here. That was a huge disappointment because we couldn't see!

Yelp
Seats are super tight and they allow vapes inside! Almost choked all night in the fumes and left with a horrible headache from all the smells of the vapes. Mgmt does nothing to assist! And let's not talk about how nasty and dirty and uncomfortable the seats are..yuck! Wear clothes you don't care about! The staff are not friendly, the pizza was cold & nachos come in a bag with a small cup of tepid cheese, no plate ti put nachos on, just try to dip in the small cup! Popcorn was old and the screen on stage really needs to be larger! I'm not ever going back!

Yelp
I've been the Fox many many times. It's is a gorgeous venue. The shows are always amazing. However after yesterday I have to say that the Fox Theater has some of the surliest, grumpiest, most unfriendly staff this side of Hell. The overall atmosphere is one of annoyance that they're even at work and patrons are all just pains in the their proverbial backsides. Hence 3 stars. Get an attitude adjustment.
