Pinky’s, a Late-Night Cocktail Bar, Opens on Newbury Street in Boston | Eater Boston

"I found a new, vibey cocktail bar on Newbury Street aiming to shake up the neighborhood’s sleepy late-night scene: Pinky’s combines late hours (open 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday) with a mix of date-night charm and nightlife energy, including patio seating and an interior of vibrant wallpaper prints and vintage-inspired chandeliers designed in-house. Co-owner Rich Sullivan — who runs the retro Miami-themed Flamingo and the quirky downtown bar Rock & Rye with partners Ty Di Stasi and Jairo Dominguez — is extremely hands-on and wants Pinky’s to feel like a neighborhood Cheers where everyone knows each other’s names. The bar is intentionally arranged for drinks (only bar seats and plentiful high tops) and offers modified classics such as an espresso martini shot and an apertivo spritz pitcher inspired by the Aperol spritz, while a small-plates menu led by Boston Chops and Post 390 alum Scott McCarthy pulls on global flavors: Argentinian empanadas with chimichurri crema, mushroom potstickers in a ginger-garlic sauce, and potato skins topped with osetra caviar; a brunch menu is in development with items like lobster eggs benedict and a spin using patatas bravas in place of home fries. I also noticed Pinky’s was already drawing neighborhood residents on opening night — some who discovered it on TikTok were planning weekly meet-ups — suggesting it’s succeeding as both a charming date spot and a happening late-night destination." - Celina Colby

I love this place! My friends and I love popping in - whether a quick afternoon cocktail or a nightcap. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the vibes always feel so good. I’ve only had a few of the snacks but enjoyed each bite. The music is always at a great level where you can enjoy but also catch up with a friend. Bri (I may not be spelling correctly) was lovely to chat with! Don’t forget to scope out the pretty wallpaper in the hall or the daily trivia. See ya soon!

This place is awesome. Take a short walk from the Boston Common or The Prudential for very cool drinks. The best bar tenders and servers. Isabella and Matty were so cool. FIND THIS PLACE!

Extremely disappointed with our experience here. We went as a small group of 3 people and were shocked to see a 20% service charge (around $52 on a $331 bill) automatically added to our check. I’ve eaten at plenty of restaurants, and service charges like that are usually only applied to large groups — not just three guests. What made it worse was the way the situation was handled. When we questioned the charge, the staff didn’t have any clear explanation at first. It took a long back-and-forth conversation before they finally agreed to remove it. If we hadn’t checked the bill carefully and spoken up, we would’ve been unfairly overcharged. This kind of practice feels misleading and dishonest. It gives the impression that the restaurant is trying to take advantage of customers who might not notice the extra fee. A restaurant’s reputation depends on transparency and trust — and this experience showed neither. The food itself was okay, but honestly, the whole thing left a bad taste. No matter how good the food is, it doesn’t make up for a lack of honesty. If you plan to dine here, double-check your bill before paying.

We strolled down into the Foxhole and did not expect to find our favorite Boston bar. The service, food, and atmosphere was a 10/10 🤩 We visited from out of town and our bartender (Figgy) made us feel completely at home, celebrating my sisters birthday like he was family! Shout out to the cook for the late night chips and guac 😌🤙🏼 We highly recommend the S’mores-tini and the P⭐️rn star Martini 🤌🏼🍸 Also, the burgers and sliders were delish! 😋 Much love, Your favorite New Jerseyans 🍀

Great new restaurant!! Super good food that was quick, great service and the vibes were awesome. The tacos were a good size at 2/14$ and flatbread (forgot to take a photo) was delish! Shrimp was also very yummy. Well priced in my opinion for Newbury! Will be recommending to others :)

Fun games, the vibes are fun, and the pretzel bites are amazing!! Cocktails are yummy too! The staff are super friendly and fun to chat with- we talked w a few servers and the manager and they were super cool and sweet! It’s a nice place to grab a drink and just chill, play a couple games.

What a fun bar. This one was recommended by the bar tender at Okeefes. Figgy and Cole were awesome and fun. They have games you can play. We didn’t eat here but the food looked really good. A fun place to hang and meet people

Came here for a few drinks and a light snack which we were glad we did because this spot is great. On the main street but tucked away nicely that you get to enjoy your food and drinks. The wait staff were great on recommendations and everything came out in a timely fashion. Would definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

Yelp
My friends and I ordered an old fashioned and it came out very smoky so inhaling the smoke while drinking it was an experience. They played Christmas music and the bar was decked out in Christmas decorations which was my vibe. Didn't stay long but overall had a great time!
