Foxhole Bar

I had a really good experience at this bar. The music was great, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The bartenders were very helpful and attentive. Plus, the place looks new and didn’t give off that old, worn-out vibe. I recommend coming here — it’s cheaper than Twist.

The musical performance was really uncomfortable to watch. The artist was clearly not in a condition to perform, and the act was off-key and disorganized. Additionally, some visibly intoxicated behavior doesn’t reflect well in a bar trying to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The place has potential, but it needs to take much better care of the quality of its shows and the experience it offers to guests.

What a pleasure to find a super cool nightclub lounge. Feels like old times yet fresh. Reminds me of the old Crobar, but on a smaller scale. 5 stars, will go again.

Not a fan, the dancer are no good at all. Really are not put to part or have no sort of rhythm. It would be better if they remove the dancers - no one wants a dancer dancing over you while you are trying to have a drink at the bar. And in top of that the dancers are not cute.

I love hanging there: grown & sexy, in early evening you can enjoy some drinks and listen to music from the jukebox, after 10-11pm, there’s a DJ & it gets packed & loud like a club - I luvvv it - You can enjoy the view of the lower floor from the second level, yessss, you can go upstairs and there’s a bar upstairs. Lovely place, great crowd, drinks are reasonably priced, happy hour I think ends at 9 or 10 pm - Definitely worth checking out if you’re in South Beach area. I love the entrance, lol, everyone I take there gets amazed, especially when they open the “door” & see the pool table, the lights & hear the music - lol

Websites says it’s open on Thursdays, google too. Came here and it’s closed. Do better.

#AntiHuman They want to charge $7.00 for a water bottle, and refuse to give glasses of tap waters. There has to be a law against not giving water. Maybe give small cups instead of a huge glass, goodness…. Shrimp tacos were okay.

Love this speakeasy spot on the beach. Hidden behind a restaurant, you enter in two ways, through the restaurant or through the back door in the alley. No sign or indications it's their, just a red light over the door in the alley. In fact it's so hidden, I've seen the heat players and coches there often. It's a 2 story lounge with a pool table (top floor over looks the first) great vibe, smoke free, normal Miami Beach drink prices and the music turns up about midnight. 21 and over and they do check IDs. Highly suggest you check it out for bday or chill night out!

Holy hell this place was a pain in the butt to find. There is no sign outside to show you that you're there. I asked people in the area if they knew where Foxhole was and they looked at me like I was crazy. Finally I asked some dapper looking man who managed to tell me to go in the back alley and look for a door with a red lamp over it. BINGO! FOUND IT! It was pretty dead when I was there (Thursday night) but this place looked like it'd be packed on weekends. One of the bartenders (super duper hot, btw) said that on weekends they'd have a DJ and the place would get super packed. Only downside during my visit? There was this couple who was super busy making out with each other by the bar. It's cool, I don't usually care for people who like to make out or whatever, right? However, when me and my friend were checking out the upstairs area (they have pretty cool guns on display), this same couple came up and went to the corner and started making out over there while occasionally looking at us. Yeah, we get the hint dude. We walked down letting the couple to have the whole upstairs area for themselves doing you know what up there. I hope the seats get cleaned frequently!! If I'd ever come back to Miami, I wouldn't mind coming back here on the weekend. Especially know that I already know how to get here. But hopefully, next time there would be people who could actually afford to get a room.

Hole-in-the-wall type of place but not what you are thinking. It was different and fun. Two stories, different bars and a pool table! We went to celebrate a friend's birthday, party of 30+ people, and we all seemed to have a blast.

I used to go to Foxhole all.the.time. And everyone else did too apparently. But not anymore? where has everyone gone?!! The last several times I've been there has been ZERO other souls in the place. Whats up? Where is the love for Foxhole? Are the bartenders supplied with enough attitude to fill the room? Well... yes but that's a bartender on the beach for you! Drinks are good (word of warning do not order wine) but where is everyone? Maybe its time Foxhole gets back in the game and offers some specials, local deals, event nights??? Something? I love this venue and really the for a good thing to disappear... please come back!!

Reliable, throwback fun for the grown and lovers of multi-genre, period club hits. Photo does no justice of this spot spinning best and favorite hip hop, R & B and dance music of 90s, 80s, and late 70s along with current bangers. Touches of retro vibe are interspersed like arcade games off left of the walk-in foyer, then an inconspicuous selfie camera inset in wall. There are rustic dining booths along one side of first floor, then center of the space is a shift to modern with an LED back bar tower. Along other side is stairway to second floor with a modern club layout of sparse modular seats, dope ceiling mounted art of iconic entertainers, a small bar outpost and 270 railing designed to look over first floor. Literally get your whole life dancing the night away to tunes from back when to now. Enter this hidden, nightlife bar through an unmarked door in alley way (kind of nod to Studio 54). Pretty cool hidden gem in SoBe. I arrived via Lyft around 11 pm and the entrance was in a back door in an alley. There was no sign that this was the bar; it just had a red light near the door. While walking in, it wasn't super packed. I was able to go upstairs without bumping into a ton of people, which is nice for those who don't like big crowds and busy bars. The music was great, but nobody was dancing. There are two levels - the bottom level has a pool table, a selfie machine, and a semi-large bar. The upstairs was for the VIP booths and larger groups. I had a booth upstairs so I didn't pay for any of the drinks so I'm unsure of the prices but the bartender who came around to pour drinks was friendly. The upstairs wallpaper was guns and the wall decor was a gun showcase. It was different to see that, although I'm curious why it was all about guns? I'm giving one less star for having only one bathroom upstairs. It was so dirty inside and people have to wait right next to the door for their turn.

The most exciting part of the venue was the sign that greets you. But by the looks of it, not a lot of people found Foxhole. Perhaps it was the day I went on, but it was dead. Or the night was still young, which is a possibility for any given weekday in Miami. They had giant screens that were playing the NBA playoffs, so it doubles up as a good sports bar for those kinds of events. The music was also blaring, so the party was just missing people. Just don't come here if you don't plan to shell out the big bucks. A simple rum and coke runs about 17$. If it was a special drink, let's say, a Moscow Mule, then I think that price would be warranted. That being said, that's the kind of luxury you walk into when your on Miami Beach. Welcome to Miami.

I liked this place, but was expecting something a little more lively. There's an upstairs which is nice to sit with friends and look over everyone. You walk into a room with a pool table. It is cute, but more for a calmer type of night not so much dancing. One thing I really didn't like though were the drinks were $17, DEFINITELY too much. The bar, neon light, and photo booth do make it a cute spot though.

The infamous foxhole. Now the only reason I give this place four stars is because of nonetheless size. The place is very small hardly any room to dance unless you are planning to grind on someone all night or get a vip table. Now I get it hole in the wall and everything but it can get pretty crowded in this hole in the wall. So if you are here, try to get with a promoter or ready to grind. The drinks were good no specials on a Saturday night but the drinks were good and music was definitely popping. Everyone was dancing and feeling the music. Don't know who was the DJ that night but it was good. I use to come to foxhole religiously when Flyguy would DJ I believe it was Monday nights and those nights closed out foxhole.

Sometimes in Miami Beach you will be walking by a back alleyway and miss out on the fact that a bar is nearby. Foxhole is located near Alton but the entrance is behind an alley where customers enter to find a surprisingly cool decorative bar with the aesthetic of a nightclub. They have seating and table service, as well as a nice second floor looking down at the bar. Bathrooms appeared to be clean and very modern. Now you may be wondering why did I give it a low rating. Basically it was because it came down to service and quality of drinks. I came in with 3 friends on a random slow weeknight and the blonde girl attending us at the bar seemed very annoyed and frustrated before we even ordered our drinks which were a round of tequila shots and a round of vodka cranberries. Total bill was very pricey given the fact that the pour wasn't very stiff, mostly chaser. Then this bartender gave one of my friends attitude because her card declined when we split the bill. Not very professional. In the end we only spent 1 hour here and I don't plan on returning in the near future.

Finishing up dinner at Drunken Dragon, our waiter made us an offer that sounded too good to pass up..."hey want to check out our secret bar?" A trip through the kitchen, a few steps down an alley to an unmarked door, and there we were. We had arrived at Foxhole. Now first off, I'm not sure how "secret" this spot truly is if the waiter brings it up along with your bill (and it is a place I've heard about it quite a few times from others), but also- yes Foxhole really is a thing. That being said, just because the marketing wants you to believe you in a cool local hangout, does not necessarily make it so. TVs blaring the latest sports games, a pool table, and a practically dead two story venue are not exactly what I'd call the latest innovation in entertainment on the weekend. That being said if you are looking for a quiet sports bar to catch the game, this could be just the ticket. However, in spite of what I had hoped would be a dim and sultry speakeasy reminiscent of those underground spots nestled behind bookcases and through doors in the alleys of New York or London was just another South Beach bar. Hard to find, with kind of rude staff and a bottle service menu on par with any joint in town. What really blew my mind was that despite having one other patron present, when we asked to see a normal non-VIP bottle service menu (assuming there would at least be a solid and unique craft cocktail list offering what they had at Drunken Dragon, and hopefully a few other concoctions to kick off the evening) she looked at us like we had two heads. Now while by definition a speakeasy was merely a secret club for illegal booze to be offered during the Prohibition era of the 20s and early 20s, most modern speakeasies definitely embody the spirit of the clandestine drinking while actually offering drinks beyond what most people can rattle off the top of their head. Although ideally I could get a Blood and Sand or a Sidecar, retro cocktails from that era, I usually hope a bar can push the envelope a little bit further and create some innovative concoctions all their own. However, having no menu whatsoever, is just plain lazy. I'm sure this is likely some ploy to charge exorbitant amounts for a fairly basic rum and coke without fielding complaints constantly, but also...please try just a little... While the Foxhole may have once had potential, the currently dead venue leaves a lot to be desired. Moreover, if you're expecting a quality drink, Foxhole is not the place to go. As someone who lived on Miami Beach for many years, and that still makes frequent visits, there are plenty of more enjoyable options- whether you want trendy nightclub or quality libations or even if you're looking for a sport bar. This confusing mix just isn't it and when the highlight of your adventure is finding the entrance, you can do better.

Always a great local bar in Miami Beach on the bay side of the island. You have to go through a small alley in the back of a plaza. Once you get inside it's a two story bar. Lighting is very dim. There's a DJ, seating/vip, and drinks. No food at this location. We watched the IFC fight there. Was a fun time. After the fight ended the DJ played some hip hop/reggaeton. Foxhole never disappoints.

So this spot is a speakeasy bar. With speakeasy bar, you have to find the bar in order to enter. And in order to enter, we came across a red light at the top of the door, in an alleyway, looking really sketchy. Otherwise, when we walked in, we were greeted by loud music, 2 floors with top floor being a lounge/seating and bottom being a regular stand around bar (bar in the middle) with seats on the side, and some bar/pool hall games. Drinks were a bit pricey, but they were really delicious. If they still have it there, a free GIF maker/photobooth is on the side next to the arcade games. The ambiance of the bar is pretty cool with guns on the wall, almost kinda Wild Wild West vibe. *Check in for a free drink!

Our bartender, Gabby, was so fun and helpful. We found Foxhole off a list online of Saturday happy hours in Miami Beach. They have happy hour daily until 8 pm offering half priced drinks on everything except the super premium tequilas. It was quiet when we were there and close to our dinner reservation. Both positives. One member of our party got locked in the bathroom. There was a problem with the door knob and she couldn't get it open and inevitably screamed so loud that we heard her and the owner came and kicked the door open. He said he was going to call a locksmith and bought us a shot and a cocktail for the inconvenience. Great happy hour spot in a dark alley way...go to the ladies room in pairs, ladies.

I guess I went a little early because it was dead inside. It started to get busier by the time I left but the men to woman ratio was very one sided. The bartender was very nice and friendly. It was not what I was expecting though. I found the place by a dim red light on top of a decent sized door. When I walked in there was a pool table on my left and dim lighting. The ambient l lighting was nice but the music was horrible. It was loud and "hip" (I guess), which isn't what I was expecting. I could barely hear people talking to me and for me, I was expecting a prohibition style everything. The look was kind of what I was expecting but with a traditional style bar look sprinkled in the mix. It was the music and how loud it was that did it for me. The last reason in me giving this place 3 stars was the drink I ordered. I may just be spoiled with the different speakeasies I've been to but I always get an old fashioned when I go to speakeasies and more times then not it's at least made pretty good. However, after I ordered it and it was placed in front of me I instantly noticed parts were missing. It was the wrong color and there was no garnish (orange peel). No problem. I took the first sip and instantly realized it was one of the worst I've ordered. It was WAY too sweet like there was a gallon of simple syrup in it. I couldn't taste the bourbon. If it wasn't for the fact that I saw the bartender pour bourbon in it I would have thought there wasn't any.

Pretty cool speakeasy lounge. The drinks are decent and obviously overpriced for a Miami speakeasy. But, it's a very cool place to lounge if you don't want to go the crazy clubs of Miami. It's difficult to find, as the entrance is in the alley, but that adds to the mystique. Each time I've been to this place it hasn't been very crowded, and I've gone on a week night and a weekend. So it seems that either they aren't doing so well or it's just a very secretive place. Either way, good place to go to get away from the crowds and still have a fun/cool atmosphere.

Miami is a city that loves exclusivity - and what can be more exclusive than a "secret" bar? Walking into the alley behind the subway is certainly shady - but behind the unmarked steel door is the entrance to the Foxhole. But once you enter that steel door, all illusions of this being an underground speakeasy go away. The inside of the Foxhole definitely shows the owners spent a significant investment in this venue. There is an area to play pool, a large modern bar, digital jukebox, and couches and several flat screen TVs upstairs. The decor is very modern chic even featuring several antique guns mounted on the walls upstairs. Unfortunately the owners have to pay for this great interior somehow and typical beach drink prices reign inside. Still, we had a great time here on a Friday night - the DJ was cranking some old school classics and the place was packed with talent. This is definitely a cool spot to check out and impress your date. I'd come here again, but I wouldn't say it was awesome enough to be on permanent rotation. 3.5 stars.

A "hidden speakeasy" where finding it is the only cool part... The good: it's fun to go into the back alley and "FIND FOXHOLE" through a random door. The bad: once you find it, it's always empty. I haven't seen this spot bumping on a weekday or weekend. The drinks are overly sugary and the vibe is much smaller than you realize. There are a few arcade games, but it seems like this spot is confused between being a speakeasy or a sports bar. The verdict: impress someone by taken them here and showing them your knowledge of Miami. Then go around the corner to Drunken Dragon, another hidden restaurant/lounge with better drinks, food, and much more people/better vibes.

Lost my phone tonight in the bar ( I wish I got the Bartenders name), but she had dark straight hair and she helped me and I feel so so so thankful. I bartend in a club as well and see it happen all the time but I am so grateful that she helped me out tonight when there are so many other ugly routes in Miami. Thank you. You rock. No sign, no real door, entrance next to garbage bins in an alley? Yup, you have made it to Foxhole. It was dark inside; but I liked the two story, middle-showcase bar layout of the place. It has a modern sophisticated feel to it. Good for people watching from the top, and had plenty of space to breathe and not knock into strangers, always a good thing. Music was up and down for me personally, but as the night went on, it did get better. The waitresses here were really good and timely at bringing out drinks and getting orders right. I did like that it's not the type of place to get overly crowded. The people come and go, it's a very chill lounge. Overall thought: me gusta.

I live in Miami beach more than 3 years and this never happened to me in any other place. So last night I stopped by to foxhole for a drink and also to play darts. There were some people playing and from nowhere the bouncer came to me and asking me to leave the place. I said to him I'm not leaving the place because I didn't do anything wrong, I didn't start fights or something so you can kick me out. I didn't even finish talking he took my arm and kicked me out and throw me on the ground. This never happened to me in my life, the way how they treated the local people is unbelievable, plus I'm a woman you don't treat women's like that. I should've called the police, but I was so in pain so I just call Uber and went home. Never going back there.

Management lacks hospitality and customer service. I spent $300.00 at the bar with my brother on my birthday weekend and had excellent time. At the end of the night I asked for two cups of water for our dates to have before we left for the night, to have one of the guys that was supervising very rudely say $12.00 and walk away to charge me. I come from a family of entrepreneurs and business owners. There's way to handle something like this. If he would've told me " I apologize, we don't serve cups the only option you have is to buy a water bottle" I would've gladly payed it but, his attitude and way of handling it was unprofessional and completely dissatisfying to the entire evening. I have 2 years coming to Foxhole never had somebody force me to buy a water bottle. The girls were great that night but that last experience ruined everything. I payed the waters and left the girls a nice tip but definitely will tell people about my terrible experience with the supervisors at the venue.

I really wanted to give this place five stars. It was my first time here and being in the business I pay attention to odd things. I loved everything about this place except the cocktails. I repeatedly watched every bartender pour cocktails far too short. Not a single drink that went out from behind the bar was an ounce and a half. I've bartended over 20 years and I know my counts. They are giving three quarters of an ounce and charging full price. They were amazing people I love this place a lot. But they're cheating their guests and that's not cool. And I want to stress, I've managed bars and restaurants half my life. And been behind the bar almost half my life. I know what an ounce and a half it looks like. It's just a shame. Because this could be a super amazing spot

Very underwhelming establishment. It has one pool table, a few TVs and very little seating area. This should be labeled as speakeasy.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and was thoroughly disappointed. First, the bartenders seem to to be oblivious to what good customer service is, they have an attitude while serving you which I think stems from the fact that they know gratuity is automatically included in your check so they don't even try to make you feel welcomed, I have never seen a more serious and cold group of bartenders in my life. Second, there were only 5 stools in the ENTIRE bar so I had to stand most of the time I was there which I didn't appreciate since I was wearing heels. Third, the bathroom was in absolute shambles, the floors were flooded and there was NO TOILET PAPER. After getting our $80 bill for four drinks (so roughly $20 per drink) we were done and will certainly never come back which is sad because this place is one of the few speak easies in Miami and has potential to be amazing.

After having dinner nearby on a Saturday night came to Foxhole for a few drinks and to watch the fight. Just ordered standard drinks and although they seemed to have some sort of food option as I saw some people in the VIP area eating, we were content with drinks. Quality Not much to talk about in terms of drink quality, stuck with standard mixed drinks. I will say that the upstairs bar only had high-end options for liquor and a very limited beer selection. Quantity There was no question that the drinks were fairly poured and as the night went on it seemed like they only got more generous. Value Expect South Beach prices and that was even more so when it came to the bar upstairs. However, they have no cover charge and they showed the UFC fight, which was a big plus. Ambiance Foxhole is hidden away in a back alley a block off Alton Road on Miami Beach. There is no signage, just a dim red light. Foxhole was one of the first so called secret bars in Miami and it is very impressive as you go from a dark alley into a sleek and stylish bar. At the entrance they have a small casual area with a pool table along with a wall jukebox so you can control the music when it is less busy. Then you enter into the main area that has a large centralized bar. The walls around the bar have comfy couches as well as several televisions. What is unique about Foxhole is they have a second floor, which looks down at the bar. Upstairs they have an additional small bar so you don't have to go up and down with your drinks. They also have more couches and tables, with the far corner basically set up as a VIP area. Across the bar they have lots of guns and weapons adorning the wall, and when the game or the fight is not on they play classic gangster movies on the televisions. The music was standard popular hits, then a DJ seemed to take over during the fight or someone put fight related music. The music was not enough to really start dancing, so it remains more of a bar than a club. Crowd It was fight night and Saturday night so the bar got pretty packed. It was definitely a male dominated bar, probably as a result of the fight. The crowd was also a bit older than you may expect at a typical Miami Beach bar with young professionals and middle aged folks instead of college aged. Also, gave the appearance of more locals than tourists. Service I was impressed with the bartender upstairs as she kept things moving smoothly and she was very professional and fast in dealing with a drunk guy who thought he owned the place. However I have to say it was annoying how they required you to show your id with each drink. Parking If you want to park in the area you are going to struggle to find a street spot. They have a valet, which is probably the best option if you insist on driving, or you could take an Uber or Lyft. Extra Foxhole may not be the secret bar it once was, but it does the little things right. It is a Miami Beach bar so you can expect higher prices for drinks, but no cover and they showed the fight. Definitely a place I would come back when I want a high energy crowd during a major sporting event.

Had some family over for the weekend and we were looking for a laid back place to get some drinks that wasn't a club or that wasn't too far away from where we were located (I live on 9th and west) so I Yelped some bars in the area and Foxhole popped up. I think I'd heard about them through my building. I think they might have had some special for us residents but I can't remember. Anywho, we walked the few blocks down the street and found the hole in the wall bar. Love the fact that it fits so well with the name "Foxhole." There's no sign indicating where the entrance is but just look for the RED LIGHT and pull open the door and you're in! They didn't ID us but they did ask for our IDs at the bar when buying drinks. Drinks were a bit pricey but so are most things on SoBe! Also there was no cover! 2 floors with the top floor overlooking the lower level and also a pretty cool selfie station! We had a blast people watching specifically the people taking selfie videos LOL Classic. Great music, nice laid back area with a cool display of guns on the upper level.

Decent bar with a laid back crowd. Drinks are reasonably priced. The concept is trendy and cool (speakeasy bar with no sign, just an orange light over a unmarked door). Good for watching sporting events like UFC. Music selection isn't as good as it used to be.

Aside from being packed with rowdy non dancing skill privileged kids on a Friday or Saturday, that like to throw ice cubes (yes I said ice cubes), I love this place. Been coming here since it opened in 2011 back when they had the tallest bartenders in south beach. They were some BADDIES. But seriously, this is one of the best upscale bars in south beach.

As a Miami Native I've visited Foxhole a few times at night to continue having a great time after a nice South Beach dinner. I went to get a drink before having dinner at Barton G to bring back some good memories. I opened the door to see the lights on and a couple people at the bar. In my eyes what I immediately saw could've been a staff meeting before a busy night. Not wanting to be rude I asked the bartender "Are you open?" She replied with "What does it look like? Don't you see people at the bar?" I couldn't believe what she had said a few seconds later "Yes we are open" I've never walked out of a bar so disgusted in my life. To the bartender I hope you think next time before you come off with such a smart comment. Other than that it's a great place to have an awesome time.

We had dinner at the drunken dragon, and were walked over to the Foxhole! Music is awesome here!! They play everything --from old school rap to merengue! Come with comfy shoes on because you will be dancing! You can walk upstairs and lounge, also they have one of those video booths that are so damn awesome to try out!

#RIPFOXHOLE Foxhole is no longer what it used to be. I've had a Yelp Account for a while, and for the first time I'm compelled to give my review. Foxhole Bar, was once the cool place to be and be seen. It was the spot to go to before the club, instead of the club and after the club. This is not the case any longer. Terrible Service, impossible to get their attention even on slow nights, they're just huddled together gossiping and flirting with management and ignoring the customers. Bartenders have severely downgraded- not just physically but personality wise. Shame. Shame. Shame.

I had dinner at Drunken Dragon and they walked us next door to the Foxhole. It's a small bar, loud music, and allows smoking cigarettes inside. Some people dance. The drinks aren't special. The bar tenders were very little. It was fine, but I'm not impressed.

I fell in love twice last night. Nice place, nice bar. It was early, so there's was no real vibe here. The basketball game was playing, music was sounding off and the bartenders engaged much more with one another than they did with any of the customers. That should change for better results in those registers. I could see it being a fun place to be when it is packed. 1 star for the entrance, 1 star for the blond I fell in love with and 1 star for the tattooed brunette I fell in love with right after, lol.

From the outside, there's a ton of allure. The discreet and muted red light suggesting this -might- be the entrance and the excitement to find out what lay beyond the door was already intoxicating! Before you walk in, you're likely imagining fresh and fancy cocktails, maybe some cabaret, bodacious vixens in fishnets lounging in banquettes. You know, the kind of energy from good ol' Fox's or another darkened speakeasy. Then you enter... a total man cave with flat screens all over a giant electronic jukebox, a pool table and the overwhelming eau de cigarette. Unfortunately, I found the cocktails were overpriced and even worse, my drinks came with an attitude. My kind of place it wasn't but for a someone looking for a spendy evening in a sleek sport's speakeasy, I'm sure this bachelor pad is paradise.

Three stars for decent drinks and service, but points deducted for a terrifying way of handling credit cards, and a clearly confused bar design. While exploring South Beach Thursday night, a few friends and I decided to look up what bars were in the area, and came across the Yelp listing for Foxhole. Seeing they had a check-in special for a free drink, we decided to stop in. Had it not been for pictures from fellow Yelpers showing the entrance to the bar being in an alleyway directly under a red lamp, however, I don't believe we would have ever found it. I wanted to start by saying this bar has a clear identity crisis. Hidden in an alley, unmarked, as a sort of speakeasy, once inside, the vibe doesn't match that at all. Immediately upon entering there's a few arcade machines and a billiards table to your left. Walking past that, a large projector hangs above broadcasting whatever sporting event is currently going on. The design and aesthetic of the bar is modern/ rustic with a clean black open air bar, and walls and booths covered in reclaimed wood. The booths also contain TVs displaying more sporting events. Upstairs there's a large wall featuring assorted guns and weapons, further cementing the fact the bar has no idea what it wants to be. A sports bar? A speak easy? Just a casual spot to grab a drink? In the super competitive scene of Miami, the bars have to do anything they can to stand out and become memorable, but this one really needs to go back to the drawing board. Feel of the bar aside, drinks were always quick and well made, and the two bartenders working that evening were both very friendly. The only major complaint I had about service was the way that credit card transactions were handled. The bartenders would take your card and swipe it like normal, and would also ask for your photo ID. They would then take your card, and imprint it on to the bar copy of the receipt where they would then write your drivers license number directly above it. I'm not super positive on the law, but I'm assuming this would be considered a fairly illegal practice. If it's not, it's opening the bar up to a potential large guest data breach as anyone who snapped a photo of, or got their hand on these receipts would have more than enough information to do some serious damage. As I didn't feel comfortable leaving my credit card and drivers license information out there in the open, I took the imprinted copy with me to shred at home, and left the bar the plain copy that was supposed to be for the guest. If I'm in South Beach again, I may consider re-visiting Fox Hole if they work out some of their issues, but I would not go out of my way to stop by.

Thank God for Yelp. I'm glad that I have somewhere to post this story... it needs to be read. I'm titling this: WORST EXPERIENCE AT A BAR EVER. I'm a local to Miami Beach and have lived here for over four years. Through my four years I have seen many bars come and go. Here is to hoping that Foxhole goes down the hole sometime soon... I've never been so insulted in my life. I work in the industry (on Miami Beach as a manager at a restaurant.) Both of the other ladies who were with me the night of the incident are also managers at a restaurant. CONRAD GOMEZ (Apparently one of the bar OWNERS) slammed the bar door down so hard it literally spilled some of my drink and made all three of us ladies gasp. It sounded like a gun shot. Mind you, there are literally guns hanging on the walls so it wouldn't be that surprising. It seriously scared the *&^* out of us. The part of the bar that slammed down was right next to me and in front of the other girls. Conrad starts cracking up. This is the funniest situation in the world to him. Apparently he thinks he is Gods gift to earth or something. Hey Conrad, no one thought it was funny. Especially us. My friend says, "Excuse me?" He says, "What?" She says "Excuse Me, you're a jerk." Conrad looks at her, calls over the bartenders and says, "Tab these girls out and tell them to get the F* OUT OF MY BAR!!!" Way to go Conrad! Not only are you burning bridges between people in the industry who send you business, but also locals who live close by and bring their friends on a weekly basis. The best part? he had to tell the bartenders to tell us to get out, he couldn't even look at us in the face to tell us himself. HA! Can you imagine? Out with your friends and the bar OWNER has the audacity to speak to his clientele like this? So moronic. The manager on duty was a sweetheart. You could tell he was so embarrassed by the owners behavior. He actually followed us outside to offer us free drinks at another time. Sorry, my money would rather go to ANY other establishment on Miami Beach besides Foxhole. Besides the awful situation last night, there are plenty of other reasons to find another bar to visit. The lighting is bad, bar disgustingly smoky, bartenders rude, and interior ugly. :End of Rant. EDIT: Oops! I just found out that the kind man who helped us was NOT Angel... I guess he was the Manager on Duty that evening... Here is to hoping that someone passes this review along to Angel, the other bar owner. You should be embarrassed by your business partner, my friend.

I've been meaning to write a review, but figured it's redundant. Foxhole is lame and has overpriced drinks. I visited here with my bf after moving here from Brooklyn. Super homesick for a local spot. There's a cavelike, Game of Thrones quality to this space. This ain't it. I was hoping to find a speakeasy type spot. Oye. Not so much. I'd have added a star for the jukebox, but how about after I dropped 5 or 7 bucks, all of a sudden it got turned off and a DJ began playing to the empty club. Now what's funny (and moved me to write) was that my bf just came in with the mail and there's a flyer for a new Foxhole Happy Hour, 5-8 pm with reduced drinks. Okay, so someone is paying attention. But helloooo...this is summer in Miami. Why oh why would I want to sit in dark Foxhole when it's nice out? How about drink specials for locals on a certain night...or some kind of relevant and clever draw? I'd rather sit out by my pool with wine and a freaking boom box.

This isn't so much a review of my experience as I was just looking for a place to watch the 2nd half of the Bulls Sixers game, but I can say that the place is pretty cool. I believe I was there on a ladies night, and specifically incredibly attractive ladies night, according to a dude who I met at a hostel an hour later on my walk back to the hotel who claims he was tossed when he tried to talk to them...but that's hearsay for now. So if you're looking for a spot to watch NBA in the company of a ridiculous amount of hot women for such a small space and you don't mind spending $16 on a vodka tonic this is your spot!

Great local bar with hip hop music, interesting decor, Tv's playing different movies at the booths, a pool table and hot bartenders! The bartenders are very attentive and professional. Especially Christina! She is always making sure my glass is full and remembers my drink orders. That's what I call VIP service! The drinks run about $16 each but what place on south beach has cheap drinks that isn't a total dive? Foxhole is hidden as there's only a simple red light above a blank door. They did this with their restaurant, drunken dragon as well. There's an upstairs area with a table by their gun display and a pool table and darts up front by the entrance. Mostly locals come here and it's a nice place to unwind.

Before I went to Foxhole for the first time I came on to yelp and read the reviews. I figured it was worth a shot. The place is a little hard to find. Anyone you ask just says, "Red light in the alley". It really is just an unmarked door with a red light in an alley. When the door opened I was pleasantly surprised. The place is beautiful. It has a pool table and a huge bar on the 1st floor with TVs everywhere and 3 tables. Upstairs there are a ton of chairs and two separate tables. Unlike most places in Miami, the tables don't go to the highest bidder or to the guys buying bottles. It's first-come-first-serve for most of the tables, while others are reserved. We saw a party bring in Domino's pizza, which I thought was pretty cool too. Everyone on Yelp said this place was expensive, I really don't think it was AT ALL. Bud light $5, House red wine $10, well vodka (+ Sprite) $10, bottle of Fiji water $2. That's VERY CHEAP on the beach. Actually that is VERY CHEAP ANYWHERE! Please if you're getting better deals than that in a place this amazing, you should tell me about it! We arrived at about 11PM and the place wasn't crowded. It really just looked like a lot of decently dressed locals. At about 1AM the place started to fill up, but since we were upstairs there was plenty of room. The service was excellent and the music was fantastic. I think they have a sort of juke box request system, which is fun. Overall, I have to give this place 5 stars because I can't wait to go back. Anyone who thinks $5 is too expensive for beer on the beach needs to tell me where they're going because I have paid way more at the grove!

I'm gonna break this down into location, drinking, and bar layout/experience. Location: This place is hidden away, and to my recollection there wasn't any real signage to point out where this place is. It's not really by anything else in the area, so if one of my friends hadn't wanted to go I would have never ended up here or thought about going here in the first place. However, I had heard some decent word of mouth, so I figured I'd give it a fair shot. Drinking!: No one was carded upon entering this place, which is kind of too laid-back for me. I'm not sure if that's just casual negligence or deliberate negligence, but either way they should fix that. Also, the drinks are expensive, but not South Beach expensive (at least when I went on a Friday night). A Heineken and a gin and tonic set me back about $24 including tip....which brings up my next point. The tip is already included in the bill, and they don't tell you, so some people may end up tipping twice which is incredibly awful, and frankly the bartenders didn't deserve it. The bar wasn't even that packed when we went and it still took over half an hour to get a drink. It got a little better as the night went on, but 15+ minute waits for a bar that wasn't that full was a little ridiculous. Bar Layout/Experience: This place has two stories, with the bar downstairs and the dancing area upstairs. Upstairs is pretty cool and they have display cases with (replica?) guns and grenades and other war paraphernalia, but they should also really have a bar up here too. It would help take some pressure off the downstairs bartenders who already seemed overwhelmed with even modest crowds. There's also a lot of seating which is good when you're just trying to relax instead of dance. The music was alright and a nice mix of stuff you'd probably hear on 97.3 (80's, 90's, 00's, some current stuff). They also had a Sylvester Stallone movie night that night, so his movies were playing on EVERY TV, which... was different, but unique I guess. Conclusion: Overall, it was just kind of a really average place. I could understand going here if you live around the area and are trying to avoid a crazy clubbing South Beach atmosphere, but other than that I have to imagine there are better options. If it was a little bit cheaper, and the service was a little bit better I would think about coming back, but those are things that generally get worse as a place gets older, so I have little hope for that. Oh well, at least I can say I tried to give this place a chance.

Overall when I walked in and saw Reservoir Dogs playing on the flatscreen with Jay Z mixed into and MGMT song, I knew I found a new home. Loved this place but I didn't pay to drink so... if I did I probably would give it fewer stars. There is no reason for any basic drink (captain morgan and ginger) to be over $10.00. Drinks needs to be priced jussst right. High enough to keep the trashy people out but low enough to make the locals feel they have a secret spot just for them and the very few tourists who are truly in the know. So please lower the prices jusssst a teeeeny tad pleeeeeese. Or here's an idea (because I am a marketing genius) have a "Wheel of Foxhole" at the bar which get's spun every half hour to reveal a new drink special for the next 30 minutes. Hot bartender spins and the wheel lands on 2 for one shots of Makers Mark. Half hour goes by spin again. $3.00 RUM drinks. Spin again $3.00 vodka drinks etc etc... I went on a Saturday night and by midnight it was good. Not insanely crowded but enough of a crowd to have a vibe which was a healthy awesome mix of people. LOVE IT reminds me of a spot you'd find in the Lower East Side. If this place was in NYC there would be a line wrapped around 15th street to get in. But this is South Beach. And for that I love you. You walk in and immediately POOL TABLE with vintage video games. TV's everywhere. Walk in a bit more and it's a center bar with ample room to stand around, lounge tables in these little nooks and ZERO requirement to buy a bottle in order to sit in them. LOVE IT! Then there's an upstairs level with vintage rifles on the wall. I wish they did more to integrate the whole War/Foxhole theme. The decor is a bit bland but if they did more with the war theme it could be a good blend of theme but not on a cheesy level. The music was HANDS DOWN THE BEST in all of south beach. If you want to hear: hip hop, rap, heavy metal, top 40, 80's, indy rock, 80's alternative AND NO house music techno THIS IS THE SPOT! A yuppie lawyer, pro football player, goth chick and skater boy walk into a bar... no, this isn't the start of a joke. This is what Foxhole is about. It's a pure example of democratic partying at it's finest. However as not to mistakenly cater to the 1% and start an Occupy Foxhole event outside your door, you need to lower your prices or at least come up with creative ways to balance yourself between Delano prices and local spots. I'll also mention that Foxhole has THE HOTTEST female bartenders PERIOD! They reminded me of NYC bartenders not these skinny model on the side types we see all over SouthBeach. These women are tall and thick with insane bodies and look like they can kick some ass. If they were dolls I'd collect all 5 and make them fight and have adventures. They wear corsets, shorts and boots and have more of an S&M vibe. Again... would have been cool to put the bartenders in military inspired outfits because the corset thing is kinda tired and done to death. Maybe some cut off cammo shorts with boots and a white tanktop with some dogtags?? Make them look like militia. Ass kickers!! Would be hot and something truly unique. Keep it cool, keep it fresh and KEEP IT LOCAL

Great place. Awesome atmosphere. Dj is ON! Ufc fights great Service. Definitely coming back when I'm in town.

Preface: I went to Foxhole for the 1st time last night (Saturday night) with a friend. Pros: 1) For South Beach, the prices are fine. I paid $10 for a vodka soda plus tip. 2) It's not a dive bar, more of an upscale joint that's completely hidden from the street. 3) No cover. I absolutely hate cover and they don't charge it here so that's a plus. 4) The music was a pleasant change from the usual house music that Sobe nightlife offers. The DJ/jukebox was throwing out some 80's, 90's, and recent jams that most of the crowd knew and can belt out the chorus to. Some areas the music wasn't so loud so you can socialize. 5) There's seating for those lucky few. Cons: 1) The interior was a complete buzz kill to me and which is why I only can give it 2 stars and will not be on my return list. Ok stay with me here. Foxhole is basically a square with a smaller square bar in the middle of it. What's wrong with that you might say? What's wrong is that it gives only what seems like a 6 foot radius for people to stand and walk around. That means a lot of bumping and drinks spilling. It also means walking around is a challenge and finding a spot to stay to avoid getting bumped is a challenge. There's an upstairs which shares the same flaw. It's a square but instead of a big bar in the middle, there's just nothing so you're against the edge looking over the bar below. Again, it is very narrow all the way around. Just a waste of space. My last beef is the paint job. There's very little on the walls and the whole bar is covered with a color known as "trendy upscale anf off-myself depressing gray". 2) I got charged a $2 service charge for using my debit card. I've never seen that before. So my first drink was $12 plus tip. After that, I paid cash. Neutral: The crowd. It was busy which I like but there was a 3:1 guy to girl ratio. I guess when there's no cover and since all Sobe clubs comp everything for girls, that's what you get. Overall: If you're with a group, come early and grab a table, and don't find staring at gray depressing, give it a shot.
