Chicago restaurant and bar openings for Spring 2019 | Eater Chicago

"A combined cafe-and-retail concept serving espresso drinks, a rotating kombucha tap, CBD-infused cocktails, wines, and beers along with breakfast and all-day menu items—spicy chicken biscuit, breakfast tacos, and salads—paired with retail convenience." - Ashok Selvam

Cornerstone chain local to here and Dallas. Designed for an "A la carte" sort of shopper. A coffee bar and seating take up much of the storefront, but the vibes are good. We liked our Cappuccino and Chai latte.

UPDATED: JANUARY 5th, 2026 I am very happy that I spoke to Zoe at Foxtrot on Wells...she was positive as ever and her care for her company and her customers shines bright! Today I was contacted by Megan at Operations and finally the credit was honored! That is good and better business and I am very appreciative! I hope Foxtrot continues to have abundance and success! ********************************************** Weeks ago I bought Happy Eggs and 4 were broken and stuck to the carton ... I asked their operations team which is only by email to refund for the 4 eggs. Megan stated there would be a refund in 3-5 business days. I was then told that my credit would be complete by 12/22 which is 11 days! I was then told the credit person is away until the end of January... This is not good business.

Charming Spot for Quick Bites and Brews! Visited Foxtrot in Oldtown, Chicago - a gentrifying blend of a supermarket and coffee shop. Perfect for a swift grab with a predominance of local brands. While it might pinch the pocket for a larger grocery haul, it's a haven for instant cravings. Impressive coffee variety, albeit with modestly-sized “large” drinks. Service is more hands-off, which personally resonates with my German penchant for space. Plenty of seating for those sipping their brews. Definitely a good recommendation.

Has so much potential! Great assortment of products to choose from. Even great in-house food. BUT Foxtrot never has a level of service. No one ever smiles , never a hello or even eye contact for acknowledgment . I spent over $50 on random snacks and not even a hello or thanks - just the total and I handed over the card 🤷🏻‍♂️ and I am not loyal to a specific location I will admit … and with such a neighborhood focused business I never overhear neighborly hellos or convos with other patrons in the store.

Got donuts from foxtrot and they were literally fuzzy and moldy. Expiration date was TWO WEEKS prior to when I purchased. Disgusting

Just a friendly reminder your coffee you sell is amazing. And you have the best bean grinder in the biz! I'll give employee of the month to Katie! Whoop whoop 🙌

Breakfast tacos are very small, very expensive, and lack meat (only one small chunk in the carnitas). And to make matters worse, the tortilla was stuck to the aluminum wrapping and I had to throw a lot of it away. After having spent over $40.00 for a quick breakfast, we left hungry and extremely disappointed. Had to go back up to the counter twice to get my receipt, as they did not give me one.
