Fox & Fig Review - Historic District South - Savannah - The Infatuation

"Owned by the team behind and , some of Savannah’s best coffee shops, Fox & Fig has lattes that are just as good, as well as a great menu of plant-based dishes. Come here for all-day brunch in the plant-filled and airy cafe, fueled by avocado toast and vegan nachos with cheese made from cashews, or grab a gooey cinnamon roll to go and eat it while you walk around nearby Troup Square." - Caroline Eubanks

Google
Foxy is such a cute, dainty café — full of charm and character! The service was fast, the food was fantastic, and the vibe was absolutely it. I loved everything about this place and can’t wait to go back. Thank you to the Foxy team for being so welcoming. I haven’t had the best experiences in Savannah overall, but this little coffee shop completely turned that around. It made my trip worth coming back for! ☕💛

Google
Loved this little gem! Such a cute funky coffee shop bit more than that -great amazing laid back atmosphere with a wonderful back courtyard with lots of funky decor. They have great daily specials listed in a creative giant wall calendar. They have books you can read, games you can play and a few sitting areas. We got there late around 830 when they closed at 9 and they were so welcoming and didn’t make us feel like they were kicking us out at 9. My daughter and I got tacos one with chicken and one with Korean bbq and they were both delicious! Don’t miss this funky unique spot for coffee tacos and more (photos are all of courtyard)

Google
Foxy Alexia is so much fun! It looks like a tiny place when you first walk in, but it browse toward the back and has a great courtyard to sit and have your morning coffee and breakfast. Or an evening happy hour for that matter. Highly recommended.

Google
Very interesting atmosphere, they have lots of seating inside, upstairs and outside. We sat ourselves, and food was brought over to us. Food was good, got the guacamole and the breakfast burritos, prices weren’t bad for the burrito but the guacamole could’ve been cheaper as it’s a super small portion. Very aesthetic atmosphere.

Google
To start, the staff at this place is very unprofessional. I’m a vegetarian and ordered two vegetarian burritos (foxy scramble). After one bite, we realized they were sausage (sausage scramble burrito). When my wife told the barista, she got defensive and said, “well that’s all we got,” then snatched the plate and said, “the cashier misheard you but we can’t make them for you because it takes hours to make. It’s refunded back to your card.” The whole thing felt careless, like the staff was overworked and not paying attention to customers’ health or orders. This could have gone really bad if either of us was allergic. As a tourist, this was a huge letdown. I wouldn’t recommend this place and definitely won’t be back. **EDIT** I went to look at all of the lower reviews, and they all mention the barista and her bad attitude and rudeness. This is a clear indication that management is not looking at the customer reviews or how people feel. This place needs a revamped staff.

Google
Super cute cafe! Delish matcha drink! I’m out of town, but this cafe looks like a local hidden gem! Located next to the Gingerbread House and pretty awesome Book Store!

Google
I highly recommend the iced Mexican Mocha. I discovered it last Autumn and specifically return for this when we are in Savannah. Staff are friendly. The baked goods we have had have been tasty.

Anna C.

Google
Location is cool, but that was the only thing I liked about the place. They had zero syrup flavor options for lattes, so you can’t even order a basic drink like a vanilla latte. They also don’t customize drinks beyond milk type. I asked if I could get the horchata without cinnamon, and they said it was already mixed in. I asked if instead of a vanilla lavender matcha latte, I could have the vanilla lavender in a regular latte. Same response about how it is already mixed in. So I settled on the Mexican Mocha and it was spicy!! It has habanero in it. I couldn’t take more than a couple sips. I don’t plan on coming back

Yelp
I'd go back for the horchata latte alone!! I've only seen one other place do this well and it's in TX. While looking for a coffee stop, I found this one online and appreciated seeing breakfast tacos, kolaches and horchata on the menu. While common in Austin, I rarely find a spot that does this well when traveling. So, I had to go find it for myself. Upon arrival, I had to wonder if a Texan owned this place. It def had a great vibe, cool merch (austin hats!) and I love the variety of spaces to hang out. Staff were helpful, the goat cheese brownie was delightful and the zucchini bread was the perfect on the go breakfast the next morning. Look forward to going back for a taco or kolache.

Yelp
3.5 stars Horchata - sweet and yummy. Not very warm though came more like warm Chocolate croissant - not good at all. Very gummy and hard to cut. They microwaved it which always ruins a pastry. When they asked to heat is up we assumed toasted. You can't microwave a croissant it's bad now and totally ruined the texture. Chocolate was also extremely bitter which none of us appreciated. Cafe con leche - a little bitter. Ordered hot and also came like warm

Yelp
My husband and I love venturing to Savannah and trying local coffee shops. Foxy Loxy did not disappoint! The shop is what looks like an old 2 story home. Very cozy inside. Has an upstairs and a patio. Everyone working there was very friendly and we got our orders quick! There were a lot of people there too, understandably, it was a good coffee shop! We both got a food item, I got some sort of egg and cheese bread roll, my husband got a bread roll with sausage inside. I can't recall what they were called but they were very delicious. My coffee was a Mexican Mocha iced with almond milk and it was one of my favorite coffees I have ever had. It almost reminded me of a spicy gingerbread or something, I drank it very quickly. My husband got a regular latte and it tasted great!! We had a perfect experience and will be back when we travel back to Savannah. Thanks Foxy Loxy! Cheers!

Yelp
We needed a quick bite and a coffee to rejuvenate ourselves after a full day of site seeing, so stopped in to this coffee house. It is a cute spot with many seating options. We each ordered a horchata latte and a kolache pastry. The lattes were amazingly delicious, and the kalache pastries were perfectly sweet.

Yelp
breakfast tacos! Texas twist right in our own town. GF options and lots of pastries! Plenty of seating, great place to work from only downfall for me... no caramel syrup. BIG caramel fan but i do get the cafe con leche which is quite tasty

Yelp
Great selection of pastries, food and drinks. There was a line out the door but we were able to order super quick. Indoor and outdoor seating available & the employees were very nice and informative. Gluten free options too! Outside patio is dog friendly and they have wifi. The coffee was great- I ordered an iced vanilla latte.

Yelp
We enjoyed our breakfast here. If you're looking for a restaurant with a guaranteed table and wait service, this place is probably not for you. But, if you're willing to wait a bit for food and table, I think you will appreciate the end result. Located in an old Victorian house, the dining rooms are small and tables are randomly scattered. There's a lovely courtyard out back with lots of seating. Ordering is at the counter inside the front door, and the line was a few folks deep on the front steps when we arrived. We overheard the couple in front of us talking about what they'd order, so I asked if the wait was for counter service, and whether or not it was worth it. They both enthusiastically agreed that it was, so we stayed put. In the meantime, I checked for online ordering, and indeed this is available. So, my suggestion is to place your order online before heading in, and maybe you won't have to wait as long. The menu is compact, and vegan friendly. The breakfast burritos (Foxy scramble without meat and Sausage scramble with) were recommended so we gave them both a try. We also ordered the bacon & egg kolache, streusel coffee cake, and a churro muffin. We were given a number for the burritos to be brought to our table, and asked to wait for our pastries and drinks. I will mention the burritos are premade and warmed to order. Seating in the courtyard was full, as was the upstairs (which looked to be mostly the student crowd) so we eventually landed a table off the front room. We admired the cute and quirky decor in the room, and then indulged in our pastries. The kolache and the muffin were good, but the coffee cake was dry and dense and not as tasty as I'd hoped. Once the burritos arrived grilled on all sides, cut in half and served with two sauces. Perfect for sharing, which two of us did. The flavor was SO good, with lots of egg, peppers, onions, and potatoes, and the sauces made it even better. So we stepped out of our comfort zone on this one, but vacations are for adventures after all. It was worth it, as promised. Would love to try the tacos next time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Overall we were disappointed in our experience with Focy Loxy Cafe. The coffee was ok, not the worst but I probably won't go back for another cup. Our food tasted like it was made with left overs from the day before, very dry on the inside and soggy on the outside, like it had been warmed up and sitting in the foil for quite some time. The pricing was quite high as well (our order was almost $40) especially for the quiche because it was very small, had almost raw veggies in it, and a very soggy crust. I think you might have better luck at another cafe.

Yelp
Very good! Ordered the chicken tacos and it was flavorful tex mex food. Ordered the Mexican mocha and it definitely has a kick to it, was good! Great place to do work too!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute vibe with a sitting area inside and outside. Good coffee too. The Mexican mocha is delicious.

Yelp
PROS: - Lots of drink options and sweets at the counter. - Good value for the price. - Decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. - Street parking available. - Cute illustrated books and knickknacks available for perusal. - Nearby are the Gingerbread House for photo ops and a quaint bookshop - both owned by the Foxy Loxy people! CONS: - Street parking mostly near the library filled with homeless people. - Coffee was just okay. Mocha was a bit too sugar-forward rather than cocoa-forward. FAVORITES: - Some of the magnets are funny! TIPS: - The line to order may take a while, but the time to make the drinks is short. OVERALL: - Cute cafe ambience.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
A unique cafe attached to the Gingerbread House. The cafe has a spacious outdoor patio seating with an intimate setting. The indoor is cute and quaint that offers a variety of coffee choices, various artwork and books, as well as food and drinks. The staff was friendly and it was easy to walk around and admire the place while sipping on a coffee.

Yelp
My favorite place to get a matcha latte and spend the day working remotely. They have a beautiful ambiance in their outdoor patio that comfortably fits 30 people with plugs for a laptop charge and wifi. They have plenty of indoor dining options on their first and second floors. I love how it's connected to the bookstore next door. Their food and drinks are incredible. I love their kolaches and tacos particularly. They have plenty of options for dietary restrictions and offer all types of milk for their drinks. Their matcha is the perfect color (iykyk). Everything is a fair price and service is usually quick unless you're coming at their lunch time rush. I would absolutely recommend Foxy Loxy to anyone local or visiting.

Yelp
I'ma say a few things then head out - keeping it brief. 1) BEST TACOS. Period. And simple. Beef + Chorizo AND Chipotle Chicken. I'm upset with myself that I hadnt tried them sooner. -chipotle chicken tastes like de tinga. A+ -chorizo very flavorful and savory, perfect sodium to flavor ratio. -corn tortillas double wrapped and crispy exterior to hold it all together -great presentation in foil pouches. 2) TACOS MADE TO ORDER. Be patient. Worth the wait 3) GOOD VALUE. Cheap. Less than $5 per QUALITY taco. 4) VEGAN COOKIE DOUGH BROWNIE A++++ Need to go back and try the queso. I'd probably have raving reviews of the burritos but they were out.... Highly recommend. Major sleeper in the taco game. Didn't cross my mind before but now?? How could it not??? Go asap for BEST taco in savannah.

Yelp
I was a bit miffed in that I ordered a drink and a salad, but they don't begin offering their full food menu until 10, and nothing either before or after I ordered in the online app made this clear to me. So I ended up having to wait. It's also just kind of puzzling to me that I can't have a salad for breakfast; why not just make it for people who want it? Fortunately, I wasn't in that big of a hurry and wandering the Savannah streets for a bit isn't the worst thing. My chai was subtly flavored but worthwhile, and the salad I came for was quite impressive. The light shredded cheese added a lot to the flavor of beans and corn, and the numerous accompaniments included guacamole, sauce, and a chipotle ranch dressing. The option was available to get it vegan. They also had some baked goods, some in house and some from the Auspicious Bakery; the latter are well worthwhile if you don't want to make the drive to the outskirts of town to visit the bakery itself (I did make that drive, so no need to buy their stuff here). The place had nice enough indoor and outdoor seating to eat awhile. If I do return, I'll just have to make sure I time it right.

Yelp
very homey cafe with couches, benches, and tables as well as a variety of drinks and pastries. i ordered a iced horchata latte and egg and cheese kolache. both were good and the service was quick.
google avatar

Yelp
The coffee is just ok nothing special. Did not get any food except a chocolate chip cookie for my daughter and she said it was just ok. There's a lot better coffee shops in Savannah that are better than Foxy
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
Fantastic place to stop in and grab a coffee. I loved every moment of my experience. The lady recommended the latte I got and the chocolate croissant is to die for. The decor and atmosphere is relaxing in the early morning. I sat in the courtyard and was very pleased with the shade and fans to keep you cool as you enjoy your breakfast.
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
(10/10) Mexican mocha was delicious. Has a fantastic kick that isn't too overpowering or bitter. Compliments the sweetness so well, best place to get a Mexican mocha. (9/10) hot chocolate was so decadent and rich. Was so lovely to have during the winter (6/10) horchata latte was too sweet, it's a good drink if you're not expecting to have a classic horchata. Didn't really taste like horchata at all. Baristas are a bit standoffish and rude when you're trying to pick up a big order the one time I went. I just assumed it was a bad day, and it wouldn't deter me from going here again. Place is very busy but has great wifi and plenty of seating if you go at the right time! Outlets to spend hours doing work there if needed. I love the local indie decorations and charm of Foxy Loxy.

Yelp
Loved it. The coffee was delicious. The back area for seating was great and could fit quite a few guests
google avatar

Yelp
This is a very simple coffee shop not a big breakfast place great for a quick bite. One of the reason I like it is that everything is made in house. There are so many choices for where to eat-varied inside and outside spots. This is a very simple coffee shop not a big breakfast place but the basics are here and they are delish! There is an adorable purple Victorian gingerbread house next door to take photos of. Do not forget the back garden at the cafe as well. I went back at night for s'mores and wine with a great fire going out back. Do not miss!

Elizabeth N.

Yelp
The coffee shop itself is super cute and has a great vibe, however the barista behind the counter was very arrogant when another customer was upset for not getting what they ordered. Just for the barista to tell them they never had the food item in stock that the other customer ordered and tried making the customer look dumb. Killed the vibe for me. Will not be going back.

Woof W.

Yelp
Everything is great except they took away the Korean BBQ tacos. Those were the best ones by a mile. Bring them back! The one replacing it isnt even bad but the Korean bbq ones were just that good!

Yolonda A.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop that is not that little. Drinks and food are great. Ambiance is pleasing. I have been here twice and throughly enjoyed the vibe.
google avatar

john j.

Yelp
Most people come here for the drinks and pastries. However....insider tip. Their TACOS are FIRE! I highly recommend them, double down on the corn tortillas they are filled with flavorful meats and crema. Definitely a surprise hit from this cute little cafe. I will always stop by for these little tasty treats when visiting the Savannah area. Be sure to so outside on their whimsical patio garden.
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
A cute coffee shop! I believe there is only street parking but it was easy enough to find. Staff were friendly and the latte ordered was enjoyable. I did not dine in but the interior seemed cute and it looked like they did a lot of community events. I would return!
google avatar

Tara V.

Yelp
Foxy Loxy is one of the best places i've been to in Savannah. We ordered chicken tacos + matcha and mexican mocha + breakfast burrito. Our drinks came out super quickly. The food took a lot longer to come out but it was worth the wait.
google avatar

Avi R.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best Cafes in Georgia. The Matcha latte here is super delicious. Highly recommend to try it. They have plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs. They also serve few bakery items. (Pricey compared to the drinks). But tasty! Really good view from uptop patio. The ginger bread house is right next to the cafe. Service was decent. Street parking (plan for it ahead, can be difficult during rush hours).
google avatar

Al J.

Yelp
The ambulance here is amazing. Super laid back atmosphere. The food is amazing. The staff here are super friendly. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Kathy D.

Yelp
Food was good and the coffee was delicious Service was great The atmosphere was like a library to me. A lot of people on laptops and it was hard to find a seat. Other than that, I enjoyed stopping in. Really close to Forsyth park!

Jerry F.

Yelp
Food was fair. Sausage Burrito was filling. The service was about as friendly as a copperhead snake. Couldn't pay them to smile or be courteous!!!
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
This place would be great if a reasonable amount of customer service existed. It would be an awesome place if they did it with a smile. Unfortunately neither of that occurred during our visit. The coffee was wonderful and the burrito was tasty and hearty. Kinda thought I'd get a complimentary extra 1/2 ounce cup of sauce with my giant burrito after purchasing a $14 mug, but I was sadly mistaken. Just generally displeased with our experience today. The legacy of southern hospitality does not live on at The Foxy Loxy Cafe. First impressions are everything.
google avatar

A J.

Yelp
Phenomenal. The aesthetics and atmosphere are cozy and unique and they have great merchandise. The food is delicious. A+. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely loved the ambiance of vibe of this cafe. Coming here after yoga, my friend and I stepped in for a small bite and coffee beverage. I got a caramel latte and cheese and egg kolach, and two scones (for family members). They heated up my kolach, which made it even more mouthwatering. It has a LOT of seating if you explore around and upstairs. I can't wait to come back for more of their food items and to actually sit and eat while enjoying the sites of the area. Parking was also readily available on the street when we arrived around 8:45am on a Saturday.
google avatar

Rishmithaa S.

Yelp
Amazing ambience. Cute coffee shop. Coffee was great. Wish the pastries were fresh. Highly recommend nevertheless.
google avatar

Sasha S.

Yelp
Great coffee shop with vegan pastries. This cute cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. It has good coffee and yummy vegan options. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back when in Savannah again.

Yelp
I absolutely love this coffee shop so much that it gets a 5-star review! MENU It offers a good variety of hot and cold coffee drinks and some pastries options. My wife and I were driving through Savannah on our way back to Charlotte from Florida, we were so glad we stopped by. We ordered the Mexican Moca (very sipcy), the Horchata Latte, the Sausage & Cheddar Kolache and the Egg & Cheese Kolache. Oh, my! They were 100% delish! LOCATION & PARKING Centrally located in a walkable and nice area. There are other businesses around, so you can take a walk after your coffee. There is plenty of street parking and parking lot across the street. VIBE Awesome vibe and staff! 100% recommended.
google avatar

Tanya J.

Yelp
This might be my favorite coffee shop to do work in, the only thing is that it gets busy and sometimes snagging s good seat is difficult. I also love that there's a lunch menu- sometimes I'd rather have something more related to lunch than breakfast at coffee shops since I spend HOURS there. The tacos were delicious. I also stayed late enough where I was able to order some wine. Parking can be tricky, but it's such a great coffee shop!
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
Just had the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Not a coffee drinker but those in my party said it was good. Lots of options. Trendy with a cool courtyard out back. Only downside was less than friendly service and only one unisex toilet. Otherwise 5 star.

Kelsey R.

Yelp
So good! Friendly and helpful staff, dog friendly inside and out, and the tacos were so delicious! Didn't go outside but they said they had fire pits and marshmallows
google avatar

Marten O.

Yelp
Best Taco in town. We tried Chicken and others the Beef and Chorizo. Really good. One is plenty unless you are really hungry.
google avatar

Jamie Y.

Yelp
Checked out this beautiful Tex-Mex cafe cause we really needed some caffeine - the courtyard was so green and stunning, loved the outdoor furniture and all the fun decors - Horchata Latte: what a nice, sweet, cinnamony latte, they can make it with oat milk too - Kolaches: these delicious breads with different fillings, the sausage cheddar one has a small sausage stuffed inside like pig in a blanket and the BBQ pulled pork cheddar one was SO DELICIOUS! Def recommend that one Overall a great spot and they have Wi-Fi too for people who want to work from here
google avatar

Jen D.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped in for to-go on a trip to Savannah. The Mexican Mocha had more of a kick than expected which was wonderful, my daughter's iced latte was perfect. We also got the churro muffins that absolutely rocked, especially because they warm them up for you. The baked goods have a great range from sweet and savory. The staff is attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be back and also try their other locations.
google avatar

Cora M.

Yelp
Visited Foxy Loxy Cafe on a Wednesday night for the Savannah pickers music performance. It was on the back patio. There's parking in the rear of the building but it is limited and shared with an apartment building. We had reserved seating as we were part of the Savannah Pickers group who came to perform free of charge to the customers. The event was wonderful in the comfortable evening and we had great weather. There's quite a few tables and the place was full. There is an extremely limited menu at this establishment, a few tacos, some cakes and muffins and coffees, a few beer choices and a couple of wines. The service was great but there are no servers on the patio. You need to go inside to the coffee bar to order your food and drink. but we enjoyed the evening thoroughly and the variety of music made the evening very pleasant. We hope they continue to keep the Savannah Pickers on Wednesday nights and we will return if they do.
google avatar

Haley K.

Yelp
Always my stop in for a coffee. Baristas are super friendly! Coffee is great and quick
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Stopped for a coffee and kolache before exploring the more residential area of Savannah. It was quite busy at 10:30 am on a Saturday, but the line moved fairly quickly.
google avatar

Don C.

Yelp
This hipster SCAD bar on bull street is refreshingly non touristy. Boho vibes and hard to find a seat. I had a vegan brownie with chocolate chip cookie dough that seriously hit the spot. Walkable from Forsyth Park.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
The business name alone drew us in and we're so happy we did! Both my wife and I were beyond pleased with the food. Something for each of us and our server was very helpful in making that happen! Setting of the establishment was also one to discuss later. "Did you see this, that?" My wife kept saying. She loved the Ambiance.

Ms J.

Yelp
Matcha latte was deliciously sweet. Service was on point. Ambiance was casual with a quaint cafe bar and seating.
