F.P.Journe Le Restaurant

What an absolutely fantastic start to my culinary evenings in Geneva yesterday. Once again, the advantage of business trips: enjoying other cities. At F.P. Journe Le Restaurant, chef Dominique Gauthier and his team conjured up a wonderful surprise menu, accompanied by excellent wines selected by Bogdan Tand and his team. The fantastic service in this extremely beautiful location rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. Merci beaucoup!

Fabulous lunch - Amazing service, delicious menu, and very cool place. We went for a friends birthday and they were very accommodating and patient with our big group. Highly recommend.

Exquisite. I had the lunch set menu and every course was delicious - full of complex flavours, from bright and fresh to umami. I was a non-French speaking solo traveller dining alone, the service was excellent and I felt very taken care of. The restaurant was full for good reason, so do make a reservation. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite new restaurants in Geneva. If it’s glorious French gourmet food you are after and you love watches, this restaurant is it. The restaurant is a collab between FP Journe and celebrated chef Dominique Gauthier. As result it has garnered a few accolades and currently holds a Michelin star. Recently had the three course summer set menu and the experience was chef’s kiss 💋 Very classy, formal ambience and with Swiss excellence in it’s hospitality. Every course is better than the next. Look forward to tasting the Autumn menu.

100% 5*! One star Michelin, looks like 2 stars. High French cuisine. Small portions, you can take 2 starters, main and dessert. The ambiance of late XIX century Geneva. Wide vine list. Fantastic service. Definitely worth a journey!

Freshest of ingredients, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Everyone from the chef to the wait staff is amazing. They are also vegetarian and vegan friendly with a lot of thought put into preparing the special dishes. Definitely a must try if you are in Geneva

I had booked F.P. Journe for dinner last night as someone interested in both watches and cuisine. Having read the review, I was extremely excited for my visit. Unfortunately, the meal and service left a few things to be desired. This was just my experience, and unfortunately, one too many things to overlook as I usually do not write reviews, good or bad. 1) My water was initially poured, and then never refilled again for the remainder of the meal. Solo diner, multiple waiters looking to see if I’m okay, and not once was my glass refilled when empty. 2) The fish/caviar course was originally presented one way (with the fish above the foam and caviar sitting on top), but was set down awkwardly and the dish fell over. Waiter went to get a new plate, which is totally okay. However, the dish was then presented entirely differently visually. The fish was now sitting below the foam. Was this dish remade, or did they simply “fix” my existing dish. 4) The bread course was brought to my table was I was in the restroom. Again, not a huge deal but I’m solo and it would’ve been easy to wait 60 seconds till I sat back down and it could have been presented to me. Dominique is serving up some delicious food, but unfortunately for me personally, much was left to be desired on the service side of things. I did not feel the efficiency and seamlessness of service that usually occurs at this level. I think at the price point, these are little things that shouldn’t happen.

Lunch service was amazing. The service team were attentive and restaurant had a great atmosphere to go with the theme of watches. The food was excellent. Our favourite dish was the signature scampi dish. Very enjoyable lunch. Thank you to Dominique Gauthier and the team at F.P. Journe Le Restaurant.
